I believe with this one you have to go to the jetty at the beach before 10am and speak to the guy at the end of it. He will give you one.

You have to go to the minral beach at 7am and the guy will give you a rod

Speak to Greg at the Mineral beach (at the jetty or dock, whatever). He will ask you then you read and get your rod. Reach before 10am and have an empty space in your rucksack (the tools side)

all you need to do is go on the beach with a emty space for the rod and talk to the guy what is his name again.... oh ZACK but remember that you can only do this when you are friends with zack

Head to the beach's pier on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday between 8 at night and 8 in the morning. You'll find a fisherman named Greg when you do, and he'll give you an item, the Fishing Rod, if you don't already have a tool equipped on you when you speak with him.

Well.... I think you need to go to The beach then theres a man there talk to him then he will give you a fishing rod....... (I don't know where Coz it was A long time ago I played harvest moon)
