how do i get out

I am at The Crypt and at the bottom of the stairs I have to stand on a platform and a little brick post comes out of the ground and I do not know what to do with it help pleaze!!!

there would be a place where you would have to go the walls are close defeat all the guards first then go to the walls where the stairs are on the right side there would be a small crack on the wall break it then it you're way from there
hint (when you get to the king go to the jail in the king and grab the key
