You don't brake it you get on it

What you have to do is stand right in front of it, double jump into a hover and hover up. Darwin will grab the handle thus pulling the chute open for access. Hope this helps. The first comment wasn't very helpful

What you have to do is stand directly in front of it, double jump into a hover. While hovering, hover up and Darwin will grab the handle, pulling it down, thus allowing access to the kitchen. Hoped this helped!
