In multiplayer, is it possible to connect to other PSP's via wireless internet rather than being close by (Like a PS3 or Xbox)

If so, how can I?

I don't know bout the fired up game dude but I had played without internet access with my friend.you can set channels and if anyone in that channel sees you,u can play with them.but you and the hoster must be in the same channel
