Early in Resident Evil Revelations you will gain access to the Genesis, this is a handgun shaped scanning device that will reveal otherwise-invisible items that are hidden around the environment. Once you have obtained this device you need to make sure you get into the habit of scanning the area every time you enter a new room in order to collect handprints, of which there are 30 in total. Collecting 15 handprints unlocks the Rifle PSG1. Collecting 30 handprints unlocks the Handgun G18. Using the scanner will also reveal ammo and health supplies.
