There is no cheat to do it unfortunately... Doing the activities "Ridesharing" and "Zombie Splat" can earn you gold coins. Earing them by this method is like hitting a rare. If you happen to get them the Ridesharing typically only gives 1 but, If you obtain gold from Zombie Splat you will be rewarded with 5 gold coins... You will also earn gold coins(10+) at certain levels when leveling your Mayor.

I believe having a cheat in regards to gold cheat would cheapen the experience the game provides and hinder all of what make sure this game so interesting and unique which is why it stands out above all other games who shamelessly dumb down the game experience and the joy along with the challenge that is provided and makes it such an interesting experience and a joy to play
