It is important that you save frequently, whether manually, or by using quick and auto saves. This is because there are various ways you can easily die in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and that four injuries means a permanent death. If members of your parter are carrying injuries you may want to consider placing them in an inn or a campsite until they have recovered.

Make sure whenever you see items that may be useful in exploration that you collect them. These items which includes lockpicks, prybars and grappling hooks will enable you to access secret locations or to use alternate paths.

Try to have Stealth activated as much as you can, especially during exploration of locations where you can encounter monsters.
