We have a collection of cheats and tips for Jurassic World Evolution 2 that will help you build and manage your own Jurassic World prehistoric theme park.
Set after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom you must help the effort to control, conserve, and contain dinosaurs. This involves constructing and customizing enclosures, aviaries, and lagoons to contain these creatures for visitors' viewing.
In Jurassic World Evolution 2 you will also have the opportunity to rescue and bioengineer more than 75 prehistoric species, including marine reptiles in this game which is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should build enclosures close together and why it is essential that you build an emergency shelter. As well as these hints and tips, we also have a Beginner Guide which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:
In Jurassic World Evolution 2 there are four different game modes from which to choose from: Campaign, Challenge, Chaos Theory, and Sandbox. It is recommended that you start with Campaign mode, as it acts as a tutorial and will guide you through all the basics of the game and will tell you everything you need to know.
Campaign mode is split into separate missions and your objectives will include capturing dinosaurs, constructing enclosures, and setting up patrols.
Running a Jurassic Park is expensive and if you try to construct too much too fast you will struggle to progress in the game. The best way to proceed is to take things slowly, if you focus on the goals that you are given it will help you to steadily build a successful dinosaur theme park.
Make sure you build enclosures close together wherever possible, as doing so will create hubs for visitors. This means you will be able to cover a large area with amenities without having to build places that make a loss.
Take a look at our How to Build the Lagoon guide to find out how you construct an enclosure for the marine reptiles.
Don't forget that the deactivate button gives you the ability to deactivate and relocate amenities that are not making money, take advantage of this feature whenever possible to minimize unnecessary costs. When you deactivate a building it cannot be used, and it will not incur running costs.
You can always reactivate it later when your Jurassic Park is busier. It may just be a case that you need to change the type of amenity for the building to make money, you have the choice between food, drink, and shops.
It is essential that you have an emergency shelter somewhere central in your Jurassic Park, so your visitors can flee to safety when storms hit and break fences, causing dinosaurs to escape from their enclosures. Having an emergency shelter will help your park rating from tanking too much when this happens.
After the crisis is over, your park rating will go back up, but preventing fatalities to visitors from rampaging dinosaurs will ensure it recovers much faster.
The scientists that you can recruit in Jurassic World Evolution 2 all have different skill levels. Some may have a speciality while others offer useful perks such as reduced costs or reduced timescales for specific tasks.
Make sure that you cover everything, it is recommended that the first three scientists you hire specialize in one of the three skill types - genetics, logistics, and welfare. After that, just complement them with more general staff.
