Here's a rundown of our best tips and tricks for Gylt.

Can collectibles be missed in Gylt?

When playing through Gylt, there can be different items that you collect as you go through the different areas. You can get things such as diaries, pictures, blood quartzes and a whole lot of other things. You might be wondering if there's any items that may be missed which will involve replaying the entire game.

Thankfully, you can go back to specific areas once you've beaten the game in order to get any items that you may have missed. You'll be able to get the option to 'Go Back to Campus' in order for you to collect your remaining items. So if you wish to speed through your game in order to focus on the story, then you may do so. If you want to collect all items before completing the game, you can do so before meeting the old man who's in front of the school.

Be careful when crossing the planks

Once you start the game, you'll reach a point where you'll crash your bike and then you'll want to escape the dark forest. As you go through, you will come across a huge puddle that you'll need to come across. When going through this part, there will be planks that you can step on so you can cross over.

Be careful and try not to fall in the puddle. If you are able to cross through the planks with no issue, you'll be able to unlock the 'Avoid a Cold' achievement which requires you to use the planks in order to remain dry.

Use cans from vending machines

The cans that you can acquire from vending machines can be obtained in different areas of the school. The first vending machine you'll be able to find is once you reach 1F of the Teacher's lounge. You'll eventually reach an area where you'll need to get a key, and there's a vending machine nearby. Interact with it in order to get a can.

Once the key is with you, a monster will soon come in. With the can on hand, you can use it and shoot it towards the monster. This will let you unlock the 'Ups… Sorry' achievement which requires hitting enemies with cans.

How to shock your enemies

When you reach the school area, you might pass a place that has a puddle on the ground that has sparks. In order to go through, you'll need to push a button to stop the electricity so it won't shock you. Once you've done that, you can use it to your advantage as well when defeating enemies.

You can get the attention of your enemy to follow you to the puddle. Once they step on it, you can push the button once more to bring back electricity. This will shock them, and it will also grant you the 'Shocked!' achievement.

Use your upgraded flashlight against enemies

The flashlight that you have with you can eventually be upgraded in order to become a Flashlight beam. With this upgrade available, you'll eventually go through a vent area so you can head to the 1F Library. There will be a monster waiting ahead of you, but you can defeat them with your flashlight upgrade.

You'll see that the monster has bright orange parts which look vulnerable. Aim the flashlight beam to this area, and this will hurt the monster until they explode. Doing this for the first time will give you the 'Let There be Light' achievement as well. Use this as one of the method to defeat your enemies as needed.

How to get all kill achievements and no kill playthrough in one go

In Gylt, you have achievements that require you to defeat specific monsters which will grant achievements for killing them. However, there's also an achievement which is completed by having no kills for your playthrough. This would mean that you'll have to play the game two times in order to get them, right?

Well, there's actually a method that you can use in order to get all achievements within a single playthrough. You can choose and quit the game so you can head back to the main menu, and then choose to continue. By doing so, you'll reset the kill counter you've had for the monster you've defeated prior. Achievement counts don't get reset when you leave and continue the game so once you've defeated enemies in an area, you can go back and then not kill them as well.

How can you get all three endings?

If you play through Gylt and reach the end, you'll be given two choices by default on how to end the game. This will provide you with a specific cutscene which will determine the type of ending you have. If you want to go through all three endings then you'll need to be able to choose them properly.

One ending will require you to free all ten inhabitants, so keep this in mind on your playthrough. The other two endings are available as long as you finish the game but you can only choose one. With this in mind, you'll be able to get all achievements related to them.

Can all ending related achievements be obtained in one playthrough?

If your goal is to complete all achievements, then you might be thinking that you'll have to replay the game numerous times in order to get all three endings. This can take up a lot of time especially if your only goal is to get those three which can be obtained at the end of the story. Thankfully, you can acquire all three achievements without having to replay the game in its entirety.

Once you have chosen an ending, achievements will appear at the beginning of a cutscene. After you've received your achievement, you can quit the game and then go back. If you try to continue, you'll be able to choose the other endings and play those cutscenes to get their corresponding achievements. This way you won't have to replay the entire ending part. Otherwise, if you want to replay the ending parts, you can just choose to continue after beating the game.

Main Building of the School Collectibles

There are a total of 18 collectibles at this location.

Diary

• There are a total of 9 diaries.
• In the first room of the main building
• Inside the Infirmary
• Inside classrooms 105, 206, 208, and 210
• Outside classroom 212
• Inside a room located beneath the audiovisual room

Blood Quartz

There are a total of 3 blood quartz.

• Inside room 102 (Flashlight required)
• Inside the infirmary
• Near the restroom

Inhabitants

There are a total of 3 inhabitants.

• Inside the infirmary
• Inside a room located beneath the audiovisual room
• Inside room 208

• Canary - Canary is located inside the Boiler room.
• Pictures - You can find pictures outside classrooms 104 and 211

Arcade Collectibles - There is only one collectible at this location. This is a blood quartz, and it is found behind the counter on the second floor of the arcade.

Auditorium Collectibles - There are a total of 6 collectibles at this location.

• Picture - You will find pictures in the warehouse located on the first floor.
• Diary - A diary is found inside the second-floor art storage room.
• Diary and Inhabitant - Underneath the Art Center's elevator, you will find a space where a diary and an inhabitant are hidden.
• Blood Quartz - You can find a piece of blood quartz inside the off. However, you'll need to find a way to freeze the necessary mechanism.
• Canary - You will find the canary in room 802.

Gym Collectibles - There are a total of 7 collectibles at this location.

• Diary and Inhabitant - You will find the first diary and an inhabitant in the top right isolation cell.
• Picture - You will discover a picture near the control room.
• Canary - The first canary is located to the right of the top-right isolation cell, while another one is in the tunnel leading to a key.
• Diary - In the top left isolation cell, another diary awaits.
• Blood Quartz - The Gym houses blood quartz in its basement.

Outdoors Collectibles - In the Outdoors there are a total of 15 collectibles.

• Diary and Inhabitant - In a cavern in the park, you will find a diary and an inhabitant hiding.
• Canary - Canary is located in the Centro statue.
• Blood Quartz - The first piece of blood quartz can be found near the parking gate, while the other is located in the sewage drain.
• Picture - Past the gas station, a chicken coop holds a picture.
• Diaries and Inhabitant - Underneath the statue, you will discover two diaries and an inhabitant.
• Diaries and Inhabitant - In the left maze, you will find another diary and an inhabitant.
