FATEs
FATEs (Full Active Time Events) are scenarios that are often battles which appear around Eorzea that you can participate in to earn Experience, Gil and Grand Company seals. Don't go to a FATE that is too far away, it will be completed by the time you get there. Only go to a FATE if you know that you will get there in time to participate, especially around launch.
