Unlock Grand Company
When you reach Level 20 you will be able to join a Grand Company, there are three of these organisations you can choose from, The Maelstrom from Limsa Lominsa, The Immortal Flames from Ul'dah and The Order of the Twin Adder from Gridania. Whichever Grand Company you decide to join you need perform the tasks given to you by them to obtain a special currency called Company Seals which can be exchanged for unique items or increase your rank. The higher the rank the better the item.
