It's worth taking the time to stray off your path to objectives and search for the combo weapon blueprints as collecting these on the way will enable you to craft stronger weapons later in the game.

Combo Weapon Blueprints can be found scattered on the ground, in hard to reach places, in Panic Rooms and from vendors in Emergency Rooms. Make sure you pick up any keys you find so you can return to open up those that are inside lockers.

One of the easiest ways in which you can level up early in Dead Rising 4 is to utilize Frank's skill as a photojournalist. What you are aiming for when you take a photo is getting as many zombies within the frame as possible. In order to get the best picture possible you will need to find a good vantage point. A single picture can earn you an easy 8,000 - 10,000 PP and if you manage to catch a special moment like a character death or explosion you can earn bonus PP.

In Dead Rising 4 there are plenty of side quests to tackle and these will generally involve killing hordes of zombies, taking out Obscuris equipment, and saving survivors. Make rescuing survivors a priority as doing so will enable you to earn PP and other rewards. It will also allow the rescued survivors to return to their shelters which are scattered throughout the game. These shelters are leveled up by funneling rescued survivors into them and when the shelters are leveled up their vendors will get better things to sell.

Dead Rising 4 introduces two new types of zombies called Fresh and Evo and both species are much more difficult to take down than the normal zombies you encounter as they can move quickly and deal a lot of damage. The best method to dispatch both of these zombie types is to get some distance between you and them and then unload on them with your best ranged weapon until they drop.
