Molotov Cocktails in Dead Island: Definitive Edition are extremely useful as an inexpensive form of crowd control as they are able to kill most zombies in an area instantly. The following trick which can be performed after you complete Act 3 will enable you to get as many of them as you want. To begin with enter the hotel and go down the hallway until you reach the lounge with tables and chairs. You will also see approximately 10 bottles of alcohol at a bar there which you can pick up. These bottles of alcohol will respawn once you exit the hotel and re-enter it the same way you went in. Collect as many bottles of alcohol as desired, then go to Harland, and trade the bottles of alcohol for Molotov cocktails. You will get one Molotov cocktail for every three bottles of alcohol. Keep repeating until you have the desired number of Molotov Cocktails.

Use the following simple trick in Dead Island: Definitive Edition to duplicate items. To perform it you need to throw the weapon you want to duplicate on the floor, but before it hits the ground press Up on your controller. Then, choose to drop the weapon that is equipped. Now exit out of the menu, and pick up both items. You can repeat this trick as many times as you want during the game.

You will be able to get easy XP when you are being chased by zombies by luring them into the water. If you kick zombies while they are in the water they will drown and you will recieve XP. Doing this is a lot simpler than trying to melee with them.

When you have successfully completed the game you will be able to select the 'Next Play' option to start a second playthrough which will retain all previously earned money and inventory items (blueprints, weapons, etc.).

If you are in the City and have discovered both the Church and the Warehouse you will be able to do the following trick to get easy money. To perform it you need to go to the Warhouse and get the Hammer and Baseball Bat, then fast fast travel to the Church and sell them for approximately $400. You will now discover when you return to the Warehouse that the Hammer and Baseball Bat have respawned enabling you to repeat the procedure. Simpley keep reapeating until you have the desired amount of money.
