The amount of EXP an individual Pokemon has is an indication of how much it has battled, it is gain in battle by defeating an opponent Pokemon without fainting. To get the unlimited EXP, you enter the code and win a Pokemoon battle (Wild or Trainer). You can always turn off the cheat if you don't want to get more EXP.
