Hello and welcome to this review. Today I'm going to review Pokedex 3D.
Pokedex 3D is a free 3DS game you can download from the 3DS eshop.
You heard it right, it's free!
But does it give you enough content to make it worth downloading?
Read further to discover it.
The graphics of pokedex 3D are quite impressive.
3D models of wii quality instead of static sprites are always nice to see.
Each Pokemon also has it's own nice looking animation.
You can choose between 3 scenes and they all show impressive lightning effects.

The sound of pokedex 3D is kinda disappointing.
There are almost no sound effects.
There are only some generic noises while using the menu and the pokemon's cries. However, the quality of the Pokemon cries is better in my opinion but maybe that's just me.
The lack of background music is also disappointing.
There is almost no gameplay. View images of Pokemon, look up their moveset, take pictures with the AR viewer and try to collect all the pokemon. However, people should keep in mind that this game is for free.
What would you expect? Some minigames or something like that would still be nice though. Taking pictures is actually quite fun.
It will take a while to get every Pokemon (you get 3 Pokemon each day and you start with 16 Pokemon).
And you'll always be able to look up things when you're playing Pokemon so it will have some use. However, don't expect to spend hours on this little freebie.
It doesn't give you as much information as a site like serebii but it does give you a portable pokedex with nice looking 3D Pokemon models, though it would be nice if it had more Pokemon (only generation V's Pokemon are available). I would never buy this game if they asked money for it, but hey, it's free. I hope Nintendo keeps making nice little freebies like this. I recommend all 3DS owners to download it.
