How to Save your Game

As it is unlikely that you will complete Poison Control in one session it is important that you know how to save your game, so you retain your progress. In order to save your game you need to go to the world map, this is also the place where you select your next mission. At the world map press the button on your controller that takes you to the main menu (Triangle on PlayStation 4 and 5, X on Switch), from there you need to scroll down and select the 'System' option. Then choose the 'Save' option on the screen that appears. You will now be able to select a slot to save your progress to. You will not be able to save your game once you have entered a dungeon so make sure you save it before you enter.

How to get Delirant Weapons

When you begin Poison Control you have just one low ammo capacity gun at your disposal. This means you will want to find some better weapons as quickly as possible. One of the first type of weapons you will come across will be Delirants which can be found by opening chests and breaking boxes in dungeons. These special weapons can be switched to by tapping the right shoulder button on your controller. The downside to Delirants is they can't be upgraded to be made more powerful, their ammo doesn't recharge, and they do not have any additional special effects. Also, if you pick up a Delirant and you already have one in your inventory you will replace it.

How to get Toxicant Weapons

The type of weapon you ideally want to get your hands on are Toxicants which can be upgraded to be more powerful and can have effects added. Toxicants are your primary weapon, and by default you can only have two equipped at any one time. In order to get a Toxicant weapon you will need to scour each dungeon for three hidden badges. Once you have found the three purple badges you will unlock a new piece of equipment which may not necessarily be a weapon. To find out what it is you have unlocked you need to equip it at the loadout screen while on the world map between missions. This can be done by pressing a button on your controller (Triangle on PlayStation and X on Switch) which will take you to the main menu where you can then select the 'Loadout' option to change your equipment. On the Loadout screen you will be presented with four categories that you can switch between with the shoulder buttons of your controller, one of which is Toxicant. The other categories are Deliriants, Antidotes and Catalysts.
