Study the Enemy before Engaging

Crouch whenever you see an enemy patrol of cannibals and study their movements in order to determine whether to engage in combat or run away. During the early game it will be more beneficial to run away and lose the pursuit of cannibals in the forest as the only weapon you will have will be the axe from the plane. However as you progress through the game the combat will become easier as you will be able to customize your equipment according to the situation.
