This item becomes unlocked when you complete 'Not a Hero' on the Normal difficulty setting. When Thor's Hammer Sight B is equuipped accuracy is sacrificed for a large increase in firepower.

Successfully complete the demo or find ALL of the ghosts to unlock the Dirty Coin. This item operates as an extra Antique Coin in the full game and will be in your item box from the start of the game.

When you complete the game on Professional mode you will have unlimited ammo.

After you get the Folding Knife from the deputy you will find this weapon in the garage (Main House 1F) right before the first boss encounter in the game.

There are two different endings in game and both need to be unlocked for the 'End of Night' and 'Just A Memory Now' trophies. When you have defeated the huge mutant boss you will need to make a choice on whether to cure Mia or Zoe as there is only enough serum to cure one of them. Curing Mia gives you Ending #1 (Good) and curing Zoe gives Ending #2 (Bad). The video below will show you how to get both endings.

When you press 'Retry' after death the game will not reset the time on a checkpoint restart. A way around this is to create a manual save game at cassette recorders so if things go wrong you can quit out to the 'Main' menu by pausing the game and pressing 'End' and then click 'Load Game' and select a manual save.

'The Secrets of Defense' is a scroll that will give you a passive bonus by upping the amount of damage you avoid taking when you block. This item is unlocked when you complete the game on the Normal difficulty setting.

To get this trophy you must complete the 'Mia' videotape without being spotted by Marguerite in the 'Get out of the house' mission. Note: If you are seen just wait for Marguerite to grab you as this results in a checkpoint restart and does not count as being seen. The video below will show you how it is done. Note: You can replay the tape by putting it in the video cassette recorder again.

The following items and features can be unlocked at the start of a new game by completing the correseponding tasks.

1% ATK Boost:

Find boxer effigies in game effect stacks.

5% ATK Boost:

Find champion effigies in game effect stacks.

Joe Must Die Mode:

Beat game on Easy difficulty.

M21 Shotgun:

Beat game on Easy without dying.

'The Essence of Defense' is a scroll item will give you a bonus to your ability to block or survive damage. It is particularly effective when paired with 'The Secrets of Defense'. 'The Essence of Defense' is unlocked when you have destroyed ALL 20 of the Mr Everywhere statues.

The Grenade Launcher can be found in the supply room behind the locked Scorpion door on the first floor of the Baker mansion.

When you have completed the game the Madhouse difficulty setting will become unlocked. Below is a list of 6 changes that you can expect in Madhouse mode.

1) Health does not regenerate.

2) Enemies and Stalkers appear more frequently, and in new locations.

3) Additional Antique Coins (33 in total) and more locked item bird cages.

4) New items; Cassette Taps must be collected and used for manual saves.

5) Fewer items; many items from the Easy and Normal difficulty have been removed.

6) Few auto-saves. You almost always restart from your last manual Save Room file.

The Walking Shoes will increase your character's movement speed, they become unlocked when you have destroyed ALL 20 of the Mr Everywhere statues. They can be added to your inventory from the item box when you reload a save or start a new game.

On Easy/Normal mode there are in total 74 Collectable Locations, this consists of 32 Files, 18 Antique Coins, 20 Mr. Everywheres, 4 Videotapes. Finding ALL of these collectables will unlock the following Trophies:

'Be Kind, Please Rewind' Trophy

'Pelicans in Your Pocket' Trophy

'The Devil Is in the Details' Trophy

'He’s Here, There, Everywhere!' Trophy

'Mr. Nowhere' Trophy

Note: The 33 Antique Coins on Madhouse difficulty are in different locations from the lower difficulties. There is an additional Trophy called 'Mad Pelicans' for finding ALL of them.

This powerful melee weapon which does not consume any ammo and can be infinitely used becomes unlocked when you complete a speed run in 4 hours or less on any diffiuclty setting.

You can heal a lot quicker if you pour a health bottle over your hands and press the block button (L1). You will find doing this particularly useful in Nightmare mode.

When you have completed the game on the Madhouse difficulty setting you will receive unlimited ammunition.

To be able to unlock this powerful pistol you must first collect 9 Antique Coins. If you then go the trailer in the courtyard where you can save your game and store items you will find the Magunum in a bird cage. Use the Antique Coins to unlock the cage to get the 44 Magnum where upon receiving it Magnum bullets will start to spawn in the crates that are scattered around the Baker family plantation.

Once you have collected the Captain's Cabin Locker key you will be able to unlock the cabinet on the fourth floor of the Wrecked Ship that has guns inside of it, one of which will be the P19 Sub-machine gun and some ammo.

When you successfully complete the game on the Easy or Normal difficulty setting the Albert-01R Handgun which allows you to kill most enemies with a single shot will become unlocked for subsequent playthroughs. This weapon is a modified version of the Samurai Edge handgun, which was the weapon of choice for members of S.T.A.R.S. In the original Resident Evil.

At the Old House section of the game you need to find the two parts to the Flamethrower which must then be put together to unlock the weapon. The video below will show you where you can find them.

To get this Trophy you must Kill an enemy by attaching a Remote Bomb to them and detonating it. This can be done on the Pursue Eveline mission onboard the Old Ship when you meet Eveline and she wants to watch a videotape. It is while watching the videotape that you will find Remote Bombs for the first time. Note: Press R2 to stick an equipped bomb in the enemy's mouth.

When you manage to successfully complete the game in under 4 hours on any difficulty setting you will unlock the X-Ray Glasses. This item which will improve your character's vision with permanent Psychostimulant effect can be added to your inventory from the item box when you reload a save or start a new game.

The Survival Knife can be found on the bench just outside the elevator doors on Wrecked Ship 2F. To survive on the Wrecked Ship you will need to collect it. Upon completing the Wrecked Ship the Survival Knife will transfer to Ethan.
