How to Unlock VR Masters

In Naruto to Boruto Shinobi Striker the purpose of VR Masters is to enable you to learn new moves by leveling them up. The Master can be set in the Ninjutsu Library at the market square and each match you play as them will earn XP which goes towards leveling them up. The moves you learn from your VR Master can then be used for your own custom character enabling you to choose the ones that best suit your playstyle. There are 20 VR Masters in Naruto to Boruto Shinobi (excluding DLC).

The VR Masters are listed below in the same order as the Ninjutsu Library. New VR Masters are unlocked by playing VR missions.

1) Naruto Uzumaki:

Available from the beginning, default character.

2) Sasuke Uchiha:

Available from the beginning, default character.

3) Sakura Haruno:

Available from the beginning, default character.

4) Sai:

Reach Mastery Level 2 with Yamato (select Yamato as your master in Nijutsu Library, play Quick Matches to get him to Level 2, return to Ninjutsu Library to unlock Sai)

5) Kakashi Hatake:

Complete the first D-Rank VR Mission 'Kakashi's Special Mission' (after tutorial missions).

6) Yamato:

Available from the beginning, default character.

7) Rock Lee:

Complete Rock Lee’s VR Mission 'Free Practice of Passionate Youth'.

8) Shikamaru Nara:

Complete Shikamaru Nara’s VR Mission 'A Tense Pursuit'.

9) Choji Akimichi:

Reach Mastery Level 2 with Shikamaru Nara (select Shikamaru as your master in Nijutsu Library, play Quick Matches to get him to Level 2, return to Ninjutsu Library to unlock Choji)

10) Hinata Hyuga:

Complete Hinata’s VR Mission 'Byakugan'.

11) Gaara:

Complete Gaara’s VR Mission 'Gamabunta in Peril!'.

12) Deidara:

Complete Choji Akimichi’s VR Mission 'Welcome to My Art Exhibit!'.

13) Kisame Hoshigaki:

Complete Tenten’s VR Mission 'The Inescapable Water Prison'.

14) Pain:

Reach Mastery Level 2 with Konan (select Konan as your master in Nijutsu Library, play Quick Matches to get him to Level 2, return to Ninjutsu Library to unlock Pain)

15) Itachi Uchiha:

Reach Mastery Level 2 with Sasuke Uchiha (select Sasuke as your master in Nijutsu Library, play Quick Matches to get him to Level 2, return to Ninjutsu Library to unlock Itachi)

16) Kabuto Yakushi:

Complete Sai’s VR Mission 'Hidden Leaf Forest Night Terrors'.

17) Konan:

Complete Mitsuki's VR Mission 'Storming the Akatsuki Fortress'.

18) Boruto Uzumaki:

Reach Mastery Level 2 with Naruto Uzumaki (select Naruto as your master in Nijutsu Library, play Quick Matches to get him to Level 2, return to Ninjutsu Library to unlock Boruto)

19) Sarada Uchiha:

Reach Mastery Level 2 with Sakura Haruno (select Sakura as your master in Nijutsu Library, play Quick Matches to get her to Level 2, return to Ninjutsu Library to unlock Sarada)

20) Mitsuki:

Complete Boruto’s VR Mission 'Destruction of the Leaf'.
