1: Introduction
\---------------/

Hi, Ratchet12345 here, giving you his 5th full length guide to date: the
Killzone 2 Elite Walkthrough. The Helghast aren't gonna take your shit as
easily as they did in the first game or in Liberation, so be prepared for some
heavy resistance as you fight your way through the campaign.

Every aspect of the game is covered, the Elite Walkthrough being the main
component. However, the Intel and Helghast Symbol locations, tips and
information about Warzone (Online Multiplayer) and all 84 trophies are in this
guide as well. Feel free to e-mail me for additional tips should you feel the
need for them.

/---------------------------\
2: The Basics of Killzone 2
\---------------------------/

DIS IS 1337 MOED! U GONNA DY HEEPS!

Yes, this walkthrough caters for Elite mode, but you're gonna need to have some
shootin' skills if you're gonna make it out alive, or use the strategies within
as a matter of fact. If you're being shot at, move your ass to cover, Sev! It
only takes a few bullets to end your life. Remember though, your health does
regenerate over time.

If you move to cover (or simply stop being injured by an enemy for about 3
seconds), the blood will disappear from the screen. Once all the blood is gone,
you're good as new! Abuse this system if you must; it's awesome and will get
you out of a LOT of sticky situations.

Also, there is almost NEVER an aiming reticle for you to use when on Elite
difficulty. The only way that you're going to know where you're aiming is if
you remember where the aiming reticle should be, or if you aim down the
sights. There are some weapons, however, that when you press the 'aim down the
sights' button, an aiming reticle does appear.

Lastly, remember that you do need some luck to complete some of the more
difficult segments. You will die frequently, and there's nothing that you can
do about it but try over and over again until you get lucky... *clears throat*
and get to the next checkpoint without dying.

Checkpoints? What Checkpoints? I DON'T SEE ANY! DO YOU?

To aid your ownage of the Helghast regime, there are checkpoints placed in each
segment. They aren't the obvious "you just reached a checkpoint!" checkpoints.
That isn't Guerilla Game's style. When you see a white flashing save icon in
the top left hand corner of the screen, you've reached a checkpoint.

Turn That Damn Music Down! Soldiers These Days...

It's best to turn the music down when playing on Elite difficulty, as it makes
it a whole lot easier to hear where the Helghast are shooting from, and things
such as incoming mortars, rockets and vehicles. If you want to listen to the
fantastic score of Killzone 2, do so on an easier difficulty setting.

Guns and Ammo

You'll start most battles off with your trusty M82 Assault Rifle with a green
dot scope, and you'll always have your M4 Revolver unless you swap it for an
StA18 Pistol (which is inferior to your M4 Revolver, trust me). There are heaps
of other weapons available for use, though you'll have to find them in the
battlefields you'll be walking on. Read the Weapons Guide section to find out
what weapons are good for what situations.

/----------------\
3: Weapons Guide
\----------------/

There is a wide variety of artillery available in Killzone 2, and each weapons
will suit different situation. You will almost always spawn with your trust M82
Assault Rifle and you will always spawn with your M4 Revolver and knife. Your
M82 Assault Rifle has a green dot scope, and is good at close and medium range.
Not too powerful, but when used correctly it kicks ass.

There is also the Helghast StA52 Assault Rifle. I wouldn't recommend using one
of these unless you've run out of ammo for your primary weapon. There are a bit
more powerful but far less accurate, and have only an iron sight.

There is also the StA11 SMG. This is a great gun for close quarters combat, as
Its high rate of fire will take enemies that are right on from of you down
fast. However, it's high rate of fire leaves the gun quite inaccurate after the
first few shots, so it's almost useless at medium range.

For long range combat, you have the VC32 Sniper Rifle and the StA14 Rifle. You
may go through the entire campaign without using the StA14 Rifle, but you'll
probably pick up a VC32 Sniper Rifle at some point during the campaign. It's
the better of the 2, as it has a scope and up to 5x zoom.

You also have sidearms at your disposal. As previously mentioned, you'll always
spawn with your M4 Revolver, but there are times when you'll find an StA18
Pistol on the ground. Trust me, stick with your M4 Revolver, as it's far more
powerful.

You can also bash or slice your enemies to death when right up in their faces.
This method is only useful at certain times, so learn when to and when not to
start walking right up to enemies to kill them.

Just to confuse you more, there are also Light Machine Guns - the M224-1A LMG
and the StA3 LMG. The M224-1A is quite powerful, and it has an iron sight, but
on Elite difficulty, if you find an StA3, pick it up!

When you press the 'aim down the sights' button when the StA3 is equipped,
you'll get an aiming reticle - that's right, an aiming reticle! This gun is
also very powerful when fired in shot bursts and crouching, but unless your aim
is top notch, long range combat can't be done.

You also have grenades at your disposal. You'll usually spawn with 3 frag
grenades, but in some levels you can also find Teslite Grenades (basically
electric grenades). Both a very effective at taking down small clusters of
Helghast soldiers. Use them wisely though, you won't have very many to use!

There are also the rarities - the VC9 Rocket Launcher, the M327 Grenade
Launcher, the VC1 Flamethrower, the VC5 Electricity Gun, the ISA tank and the
Exoskeleton. The flamethrower aside, these weapons own almost everything else,
so use them when you can! They aren't found very often though (the VC5
Electricity gun, the ISA tank and the Exoskeleton are found in only 1 level
each).

/--------------------\
4: Elite Walkthrough
\--------------------/

This is the main component of the guide - the Elite Walkthrough. This
walkthrough can be used for getting through the game on Veteran, Trooper or (if
you're THAT bad) Recruit difficulty, but the walkthrough specifically caters
towards those who are playing on Elite. The main differences in Elite Mode are:

+ No aiming reticle most of the time (the M327 Grenade Launcher, the StA3 LMG,
emplaced StA3 LMGs and the VC25 AA Gun will display an aiming reticle when
they are zoomed in by pressing the 'aim down the sights' button).

+ Enemies have more armour, are more alert, are harder to trick and have almost
  100% accuracy.

It sounds impossible to do, but it ain't. This guide is here to HELP you, but
it will not do the work FOR you. You'll need good aim, an itchy trigger finger
and at times some luck to get through the toughest parts. Good luck!

+------------------+
4.1: Corinth River
+------------------+

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.1: The New Sun:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Do you really need a strategy for this part? Really? Just follow Garza around
The New Sun, Eventually, you'll meet up with Rico and Evelyn, but continue
following Garza nonetheless. You'll also meet Natko along the way. Eventually
you'll be told to get on the Intruder with the rest of Alpha Squad. Do so to
end this segment and start the real battle.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.2: Corinth Sands:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[ ] Rendezvous with Echo Squad

Run to where Rico is standing. 3 Helghast will shoot the ISA troops in the
trench from above. Shoot the 3 Helghast (they die automatically sometimes for
some reason, but don't move until they're dead). Move through the trench and
you'll be facing mortar fire. Either sprint towards Echo Squad or wait for the
barrage or mortar fire to land in front of you before you continue - both
strategies will work if done correctly.

[X] Rendezvous with Echo Squad
[ ] Destroy the Bridge

[CP] There are emplaced gunners on the bridge, so take cover before attempting
to destroy the bridge. There are 3 says to do so - either grab the rocket
launcher you'll find in the area where Rico is standing and fire a rocket at
the box of red barrels, aim at the barrels with a gun and fire at them until
they explode, or my personal favourite, cook a grenade and throw it at the
barrels at just the right moment. Using the RPG is the easiest and safest way.

There will be Helghast troops firing at you from the left (if you're facing the
bridge) take these guys down with rockets if you want to, there's plenty of
ammo in the area where Rico is standing. Once they're all dead, pick up your
M82 Assault Rifle and head down to the beach.

[X] Destroy the Bridge
[ ] Secure the Beach

Once you run over the ramp and are down on lower ground, continue forward, but
don't jump over the barbed wire just yet.

[CP] Cook a grenade and throw it just as one of the APC doors opens - the
Helghast that come out of the other one you'll have to shoot dead. Watch out
for the Mounted Gunner up high to the right of the APCs - you should kill him
first. There is also an Mounted Gunner on top of the left APC, so kill him fast
as well. Shoot any remaining soldiers dead and then jump over the barbed wire
fence.

[X] Secure the Beach
[ ] Secure Flood Gate Control

[CP] Go over to where Garza is standing once you're told to. Boost each other
up on to the higher platform and then press the button in the elevator to
activate it.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.3: Stahl Arms Warehouse:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Once the elevator door opens, run up the stairs. Pick up the grenades on the
ground, and cook one. Throw it at the 2 Helghast talking on the ground floor.
An enemy will jump over the lower walkway guard rail - shoot him to death. Use
the barrels to your advantage - the explosions they cause will kill quite a few
enemies if they're in range and can cause a chain reaction of explosions.

There will also be an enemy shooting at you from an isolated part of the lower
metal walkway. Kill him by shooting him when he pops out of cover. Once all the
enemies are dead, follow Garza downstairs.

Reinforcements will arrive. There will be a Rifleman on the roof of the big
room
where the lower walkway is, so kill him first. Take cover in the small building
below (or go back up stairs) and take the enemies down 1 by 1. Using your knife
or melee to kill enemies is usually suicide, but use it if you feel it's
appropriate.

Once the reinforcements are out of the way, follow Garza up the stairs and
through the big room on to the isolated part of the lower walkway. You have to
cover him whilst he hacks the control box to open the door.

[CP] Take cover and wait for the enemies to come down via drop ropes. Kill as
many of the Helghast as possible before they land on the ground floor - they're
defenseless whilst sliding down the ropes and whilst jumping over the guard
rail. Use grenades here, as the Helghast will stick to their cover profusely.

Kill them off one at a time, retreating to Garza's position if flanked. Some
enemies may come in to the big room opposite the exit door that Garza is
hacking, so knife anyone who tries that.

[CP] Once the door is open, follow Garza outside and in to the small room.
Knife the lone Helghast inside, then, using your M82 Assault Rifle, aim at the
room on the other side - there are 2 Riflemen. Shoot at the back wall of the
room itself - there are heaps of barrels inside, and the resulting explosion
should kill both Riflemen. Once they're both dead, turn the valve by following
the on screen instructions.

[X] Secure Flood Gate Control
[ ] Defend the Convoy

Go back outside the room to find more Helghast on your tail. Again, kill them
off 1 by 1. Use the small room as cover. There's a box of red barrels near the
exit door yo use to escape the warehouse a few moments ago, so use it to your
advantage.

Once all the enemies are dead, follow Garza. He'll kick down a metal wall, so
go through and continue along the designated path until you reach Verdran
Overlook East.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.4: Verdran Overlook East:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

You'll encounter a group of Helghast attacking the convoy below. Some of these
guys have RPGs, but the rest of them are armed with the standard StA52 Assault
Rifle. Stay back and take down anyone who advances on you first, then take the
Support Troopers (the guys with the RPGs) down (you can knife them as there is
no possibility of retaliation) Afterwards, shoot the remaining Helghast or use
the RPGs that the Support Troopers dropped to deal with them.

[CP] Nonetheless, once they're all dead, you'll have to kill any Helghast on
the ground that are attacking the convoy - this shouldn't be too difficulty
using either the emplaced StA3 LMGs or the RPGs the Support Troopers dropped
(be careful though - if you kill 3 or more ISA troopers, you'll be attacked by
the ISA).

[CP] Once they're all dead, keep following Garza. After he unlocks the door,
keep following him down the stairs until you're in the storm drain.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.5: Storm Drain 11-34C:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

You'll encounter a few enemies in the storm drain. There isn't much to use for
cover apart from the pillars and the cover that the enemies will use, so kill
these guys fast. The knife will help you out a lot here, as you can simply
slash at enemies that are in cover to kill them before they can attack you. But
watch out for the other enemies who may attack you whilst you're knifing
someone else and kill you.

Once all the enemies are dead (or even before they are - it isn't too hard to
simply rush to the other side of the storm drain) head out of the drain via the
exit on the other side.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.6: Verdran Overlook West:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Go up the stairs and you'll encounter some more Helghast attacking the
convoy. Don't worry about shooting them though, they'll be killed by an
Intruder passing by. There are 2 emplaced StA3 LMGs here - 1 of them is in a
bunker. Use that emplaced StA3 LMG to start destroying the building in front of
you by shooting at the pillars.

The Intruder will then be shot down, and enemies will start to appear on the
building. Shoot the enemies on the building with the emplaced StA3 LMG. They'll
come out of all 3 stories of the building, so be vigilant, and if you see
someone with an RPG, kill them before they can fire a rocket, otherwise you'll
probably die. Once the building collapses, you can get off the emplaced StA3
LMG.

[ ] Secure the Crash Site

Follow Garza through the newly unlocked door. You'll see an ISA solder be
executed, and the Helghast that executed him may pop out to shoot at you. There
are 3 soldiers on the ground and one on an elevated walkway with an StA14
Rifle, so it's easiest to knife all 4 of them.

[CP] When Garza tells you to, pick up the rocket launcher and shoot a hole in
the building in front of you by firing a rocket at the large, painted Helghast
symbol. Enter the building.

[X] Secure the Crash Site
[ ] Rendezvous with Alpha Squad

Go through the building until you're at a set of metal stairs. Go up the stairs
and along the metal walkway. Take out your knife, go through the automatic door
and knife the Helghast inside. Go through the next automatic door.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.1.7: Korovis Dam:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] You'll see a cutscene where the Helghast are still attacking the convoy.
There are 3 Helghast to deal with here, so use a grenade to flush them out of
cover (and hopefully kill them). Shoot the last Helghast standing should there
be any. There isn't much to use for cover to take these guys down fast. You can
use the nearby elevated walkway to your advantage. There will also be a Support
Trooper firing rockets at your position from afar, so watch out for that.

Now focus your attention on the first bunker - shoot the Mounted Gunner first,
then kill the Support Trooper. Take out your knife, go inside the bunker and
knife the 2 enemies inside. Use the emplaced StA3 LMG to kill some of the
enemies in the bunker to your lower right.

Once you can't kill any more enemies that are in the bunkers from here, go down
to the nest bunker by using the elevated walkway. There are 2 stories in this
bunker - knife everyone on the first story, and use a grenade to clear out the
second story.

[CP] Climb down the ladder that's in the bunker and then sprint all the way to
where the convoy is. You can kill enemies and make your way there slowly, but
it's a lot quicker to simply hope for the best and sprint to the convoy. There
is a small tunnel on the right (when facing the convoy from the ladder) with
some enemies inside that can make the slow approach easier to handle.

[X] Rendezvous with Alpha Squad

Once you're with the convoy, you'll be told to take down a tank. If you have an
RPG on you, then use it to take down the tank. If you don't have one, wait for
the ISA tank to take it down for you.

[CP] Eventually, the ISA tank driver will be killed, and you'll be told to get
in the tank. Run over to the tank (when there aren't a crapton of enemies
shooting at you) and get in. Use the rockets to clear out groups of Helghast,
and use the guns to kill individual soldiers.

The bunkers you supposedly cleared out beforehand are housing Helghast that
are attacking you, so kill them when you get the chance. There are Support
Troopers with RPGs on the ground and near the bunkers, so kill them ASAP as
well. Their rockets are still dangerous, but the tank will take quite a bit of
damage.

Another tank will come on from the back right. Fire rockets at it to destroy
it, but don't just sit there taking enemy fire or you will eventually die, so
keep on the move but also keep on the offensive. Keep firing rockets at it
until it is destroyed. Continue to kill the individual Helghast troops until
you see another tank enter form the left.

[CP] Destroy this tank as soon as possible, but not that the ISA are launching
an air raid on the dam and there will be explosions everywhere. I'm not sure if
these explosions can kill you or not, but they may obscure your view and make
it harder to aim and hence harder to destroy the tank. Once the tank is down,
you may have to wait for a few moments before Sev gets out of the tank, but
once he does the level is over.

[ ] Rendezvous with Narville

Don't simply run to Captain Narville - you'll be blown to pieces. Go around the
right side of the obstacles in your way to meet up with Narville.

[X] Rendezvous with Captain Narville
[ ] Destroy the Arc Tower

Plant a D-Charge on the door to your right. Move out of the way and blow the
D-Charge, then move through where the door was and to your right. Continue
along this path.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.2.2: Dakurol Alley:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Continue through the alleyways until Garza says "Shh, Higs." Cook a grenade and
throw it at the Helghast trooper that's hiding behind the boxes. Kill the other
trooper that will attack you afterwards (if he's still alive). Go to the left
of where the trooper was hiding behind the boxes and knife the trooper that
jumps over the wall.

Go back to where you were when Garza said "Shh, Higs." Kill the Shock Troopers
1 by 1 by shooting them from this position. Do NOT try to knife the Shock
Troopers here as their StA11 SMGs will tear you apart at close range before you
even reach them. Once they're all dead, continue to the next room and knife the
trooper inside.

Go up the stairs and continue along the walkway. There will be a group of
Helghast in the room opposite to you - either throw a grenade inside or shoot
the red barrel conveniently placed near the door, then quickly make your way in
and either shoot or stab any survivors. Continue through this room and down the
stairs.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.2.3: Heavy Canal:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Walk through the tunnel and go outside. Take cover behind the short stone
wall and kill the lone, normal Helghast trooper, and then focus on the Heavy.
Shoot the Heavy in the head to make it turn around, then shoot the red tanks on
his back until he either explodes or turns back around (aim down the sights for
better accuracy). Repeat this strategy until the Heavy is down. Run over to the
red valve and turn it to open the door.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.2.4: Wollan's View:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Go through the rest of the canal and up the stairs on your right, then
meet up with the ISA troopers. Once you've met up with the ISA in the building,
go up the stairs and use the emplaces StA3 LMG to kill the waves of Helghast
that will come out of the right side of the building opposite you.

Kill them before they get a chance to shoot at you, because as you're still you
make an easy target. Remember that you can still take cover behind the emplaced
StA3 LMG by pressing the cover button. Keep killing the waves of enemies until
they stop coming.

Once they do stop coming, go in to the building that the Helghast were spawning
from. and go up the stairs. There will be a lone Helghast trooper just standing
there when you reach the second story, so humiliate him by stabbing him to
death. There will be a second trooper behind cover in the same room, so stab
him as well. Continue across the bridge and go down the stairs.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.2.5: Verudan Alley:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Take the RPG that's inside this room and use it to take down as many
enemies as you can, but don't rely on it too much as you've only got 3 rockets
to work with.

There will be a large group of Shock Troopers that comes down the ramp, and a
whole bunch of enemies scattered on the elevated walkway connected to the ramp,
as well as some Riflemen and a Mounted Gunner stationed high up to the left of
the elevated walkway. The Shock Troopers are your main concern, as long range
combat isn't an option, and nor is close quarters combat as you'll be killed.

Use grenades to kill them when they're in a group, then let them come to you
inside the building where you came down the stairs and knife them. Do not leave
the building for good until you know that they're all dead. Try and pick off
the Riflemen from afar with your M82 Assault rifle or the RPG, whichever one is
easier for you.

Once the walkway is clear, focus on the rooftop. Kill the Mounted Gunner first
and the Riflemen afterwards. Once the entire area is clear, run up the ramp and
over the walkway. Run up the stairs and through the doorway on the roof. Go
through this building and in to the elevator. Push the button to go up. Once
the door opens, go outside.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.2.6: Cableway Heights:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Run across the elevated walkway and stop at the other side - look down to
see a whole bunch of Helghast waiting for you. Pick them off 1 by 1 from up
here, using the nearby wall as cover if you need it. Once you've picked off as
many as you can, go over to the wire fence to meet up with 6th Division. Go
down the stairs and kill and survivors.

Go up to the dumpster and turn right, then walk through the hallway. Go out
side and quickly kill the 2 enemies that will appear on the other side of the
bridge (use the barrels in the hallway as cover). Go up the stairs that the 2
enemies you just killed came from, and walk forwards until you're outside. Turn
left and then left again to find a room with a Helghast trooper shooting at
you. Kill him, go up the stairs that the trooper you just killed was near and
run across the metal walkway.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.2.7: Cableway Rooftops:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Go to the base of the stairs, cook a grenade and kill the Helghast
shooting at you from the elevated platform in front of you. Shoot any survivors
before turning to your right and going up the stairs just enough to see a bunch
of Helghast guarding the tower. Pick them off 1 by 1 from the stairs, not going
all the way up until every enemy you can see or hear is dead.

Go up to the Arc Tower and press the button. Aim at the glowing blue cylinders
inside it and shoot at them. Hopefully, at least 1 of the cylinders will
explode, but the Arc Tower will probably close itself before you can destroy
the other one. When it's closed, enemies will close in on your position from
where you came up the stairs, so retaliate until the Arc Tower opens up again.
Once it does, reload and shoot the final cylinder until it explodes (hopefully
it won't close again before it explodes).

[X] Destroy the Arc Tower

[ ] Rendezvous with Alpha Squad

After the cutscene is over and Garza's conversation with Rico finished, walk
across the metal walkway and on to the platform where the ISA soldiers are.
Kill one if you want an M82 Assault Rifle (does 1 team kill really matter?) and
then jump off the platform down on to the street below.

Knife the enemies that exit the 1st APC and then use the APC as cover whilst
you cook a grenade and throw it at the second APC when the soldiers exit it (if
you throw it when the soldiers are still inside it won't do any damage). Throw
another grenade at the van parked in the building opposite the one you started
on and then run over to where it's parked and knife any survivors.

Go through the automatic door and jump over the low wall in front of you. Turn
right and wait for the 2 Helghast troops to come down the stairs and then shoot
them or kill them with a grenade. Go up the stairs that they came down.

[CP] Kill the 2 Helghast that are in the room in front of you, and the one
that's behind the automatic door near the stairs. Go through the room that's in
front of the stairs and throw a grenade on to the balcony through the automatic
door. After it explodes, go outside and shoot any survivors.

Go to the other automatic door on the balcony and throw a grenade through there
as well. Go inside and shoot any survivors, then quickly go through the door to
your right. Kill the Shock Trooper in here quickly (leave the room and let him
come to you if you want) and then turn left and walk down the walkway until
you're in a room with a lot of small square windows on your left. Run through
here quickly to avoid being killed by the Helghast on the roof and drop down
through the hole in the floor.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.3.2: Malik Back Alleys:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Stay in this room until you've killed the Helghast trooper who runs from the
other end of the alley towards you. Go outside and up the stairs to your left,
then run towards the next set of stairs through a doorway. A Helghast trooper
will be waiting for you on the stairs so kill him.

Go up the stairs and outside, then go up the next set of stairs. A Rifleman
will be waiting for you at the top so kill him before is powerful StA14 Rifle
kills you. Once you're on the higher platform, shoot the blue rectangular thing
that the wire is connected to so that the electricity stop s flying everywhere
and you can go through the door. Push the next door open and go down the
stairs.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.3.3: Ostoja End:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

You'll see 2 Helghast soldiers on a walkway shooting at the ISA below. Shoot
them or use a grenade and then shoot survivors. There will be a 3rd Helghast
soldier on the other side of the walkway so watch out for him. Wait for the
soldiers to come to you individually and then shoot them or knife them - you
can do this without going outside.

Once the 3 soldiers are dead, go outside, turn left and go up the stairs. There
will be another Helghast soldier up here, to shoot him. Use the thin gaps in
the wall in the small sheltered area where the stairs finish to shoot the
Helghast with little to no chance of being hit by them.

Go to where the soldier was standing before you killed him and look for a hole
in the ground. You can see Helghast troops on the ground from here, so shoot
them from here to save you some trouble. Once you can see no survivors, go
across the walkway and down the ladder. 2 more Helghast soldiers will come out,
to take cover and shoot them to death 1 by 1, or knife them. Go to where Rico
and Natko are waiting for you.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.3.4: Union Storage Yard:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[X] Rendezvous with Alpha Squad
[ ] Eliminate all hostiles

You need to stay in this area and fight off hostiles. Hostiles will jump over a
fence near the door next to where Rico and Natko are taking cover, and by
jumping down to the area from the other side of the storage yard. Knifing the
soldiers before they land on the ground is the easiest way to kill them, but if
they make it to the ground then your best option is to take cover and shoot
them to death. Running back and forth between the 2 enemy spawning points and
knifing the Helghast works a treat.

Eventually, Rico will try and shoot the lock near the door to open it. Climb
the ladder near where Rico and Natko are taking cover. At this point, Helghast
troops will be dropped on to the roof of one of the buildings. Take an StA14
Rifle, and grenades if you need them, from the gun rack and take cover behind
one of the pillars. Cook grenades, strafe, throw them and strafe back in to
cover behind the pillars to kill the enemies on the roof opposite you. Shoot
any survivors with the StA14 Rifle.

Facing where the enemies were on the roof, go to your right, walk up to the
building, jump up to the higher platform and turn to your left. Enemies will
spawn here, so knife them as they're jumping down. Once they stop coming, keep
on higher ground and kill the Helghast that advance on Rico and Natko with the
StA14 Rifle. After they're dead and you hear a rumbling noise, return to where
you were when you were killing the enemies on the rooftop opposite you.

An APC will break through the wall. A well timed, cooked grenade will clear out
everyone who exits the APC, but if your timing is off or you're out of
grenades, you'll have to shoot all the enemies that exit the APC. Some of the
enemies may come up to the rooftop where you are so be vigilant - keep an eye
on the ladder. Eventually, some ISA troops will come through the door that Rico
tried to open earlier. As soon as this happens, leave the roof and rush inside
through the door.

[X] Eliminate all hostiles
[ ] Secure Visari Square

Continue through the rooms, go up the stairs, run off the ramp and into The
Square.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.3.5: The Square:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

There will be a lot of enemies on the stairs so use grenades to kill them. Let
the other ISA soldiers kill them for you and take cover whenever anyone's
attacking you until the area on the stairs is clear. You'll have to go up there
eventually so go in on the full offensive, shooting any Helghast that you see.
They'll have a lot of targets to choose from, so knife or melee Helghast that
are shooting at other ISA soldiers.

[CP] Once the area is clear, go in to the small room and choose a weapon from
the gun rack if you want to. Once the enemies start coming in, you'll actually
want to move to the back and only attack enemies if you can see them and shoot
them from here. Every time I tried using the turrets or going up the front I
ended up being killed, so let your teammates do the work for you here.

[CP] Once Rico tells you to find ammo while you can, get on the emplaced StA3
LMG on the right side of the concrete barrier. Shoot at the Helghast once they
arrive, focusing on the troopers who run through the middle of the
battleground, but remembering that the troopers that run up the left and right
sides can still kill you. An APC will arrive, so kill the Helghast troopers as
they leave the vehicle.

If your field of view is black and white or covered in blood, leave the
emplaced StA3 LMG and head to the back to heal, then kill any enemies on the
sides. Try and stay on the emplaced StA3 LMG until the dropship arrives, and
then leave regardless of your health condition to let your teammates deal with
the enemies from the dropship. Shoot and enemies that come up the stairs, as
well as anyone that you can shoot or kill with a grenade that's taking cover on
either side of the stairs.

[CP] Eventually, Garza and Rico will say that it's clear. Climb up the ladder
behind the small room, pick up the VC32 Sniper Rifle and turn around to face
the cablecar that's coming your way. Aim at the spot where the Helghast exit
the cablecar and shoot them in the head with the VC32 Sniper Rifle 1 by 1 as
they come out of the cablecar - you won't have to readjust your aim. Keep the
controller still, though, as wobbling it will make you wobble the VC32 Sniper
Rifle.

If you miss any, once all the enemies have exited the cablecar, take cover
behind the front of the building and let your teammates take care of the
remaining Helghast. Once they're all dead, 2 Heavies and reinforcements will
arrive. Take an M224-A1 LMG or an M82 Assault Rifle and take any reinforcements
kill the reinforcements by using one of the emplaced StA3 LMGs. After the
reinforcements are dead, focus on the Heavies.

There's 1 Heavy on each side of the stairs, so it'll be hard to take the first
one down but the second one will be easier. Just as you kill the first Heavy,
aim at the head to make the Heavy turn around, then shoot at the red tanks on
the Heavy's back until he either explodes or turns back around. Repeat this
until both Heavies are dead.

Again, use one of the emplaced StA3 LMGs to take the 1st one down, then you can
retreat to the back and use your M224-A1 LMG or your M82 Assault Rifle
to take down the second heavy. You can also use the VC32 Sniper Rifle to kill
the Heavies, as they move quite slowly. After the Heavies and the
reinforcements
are dead, a cutscene will ensue.

[ ] Rejoin the convoy

Shoot the blue rectangle hanging above the sewer pipes the stop the electricity
flying everywhere and make it safe for you to go through the pipe. Go through
the pipe until you see a gap in the right side of it. Turn to the right to see
2 Helghast guards on patrol on the elevated platform. Don't try to throw a
grenade at them as it will bounce right back at you due to the smaller pipe
hanging just a tad in front of the pipe you're in right now.

Instead, take aim and shoot one in the head (aim for the face, not the helmet)
and then take the other one down as he pops in and out of cover. Once he's
dead, get out of the pipe and go right along the walkway. Shoot the small box
stuck to the wall that the laser is coming out of and then get on the ladder.
Climb straight back up to the walkway you were just on.

Another trooper will arrive in the room as soon as you get on the ladder, and
it's easiest to take him down from up here. Wait until he's visible, then shoot
him dead. Once he's dead, go down the ladder and climb up the other ladder (not
the one you just climbed down). Turn left, walk across the walkway and climb
the next ladder. Turn left and then walk up all the stairs until you reach the
top of them.

:4.4.2: Dushan Tower Courtyard:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[ ] Rendezvous with Garza

Whilst Garza is talking to you, run over to the set of stairs in the back right
hand corner of the room. Kill the trooper at the top and then climb the stairs.
Watch out for the troopers and the Riflemen shooting at you from the other side
of the room - it's best to knife the other trooper who's near the stairs and
then turn left and go in to the first room to your left. From here, go in to
the adjoining room.

[CP] Wait at the door (try to take out any of the enemies shooting at you from
the other side of the room if you wish) and wait for an enemy to enter the
room. Shoot him to death, then start to cook a grenade, go out the door, turn
left, throw the grenade through the door in front of you and go back in to the
room where you were before.

This room is hard to clear out, so shoot the window on the wall of the room
you're in and try to shoot any enemies left in the room that you just threw a
grenade in to. If you can't shoot anyone, then make your way in and hope for
the best. If there's anymore than 1 enemy in there, you're probably screwed.

A wall will explode, so throw a grenade through the newly formed hole in the
wall. After the explosion, go in and knife any survivors. Shoot anyone on the
next walkway, then try and shoot as many people on the higher walkways that are
attacking Garza as possible from here.

Once you think you've killed enough of them, go up the stairs and in to the
next room. Another explosion will occur, and a Shock Trooper will drop down, so
knife him or melee him whilst he's dropping down. Run over to Garza's position
and leave this area by going out the door near him.

[X] Rendezvous with Garza

[CP] Follow Garza down the stairs and to the locked door. Wait for him to
unlock the door and then run through, go up the stairs and pick up a weapon
from the gun rack if your M82 Assault Rifle is dry (I'd recommend the StA52
Assault Rifle if you need a weapon). Once you're armed, head out to your right.

[ ] Destroy enemy artillery (0 of 2)

[CP] You'll see a bunch of Helghast defending the 1st piece of enemy artillery
to your left. Throw a grenade at them, and then stick to your guns. Stay back
and take care of the Helghast troops that are on the ground first, then focus
on the Mounted Gunner up on the elevated walkway (it's best to try and kill him
whilst he's shooting at Garza). Once he's dead, plant the charge on the
artillery, run back to where you were standing when you got here and blow the
charge.

[ ] Destroy enemy artillery (1 of 2)

[CP] Once you've destroy the first piece of enemy artillery, go in to the
hallway behind the artillery. Shoot the 2 Helghast that will come at you, and
then throw a grenade in to the next room with the stairs (throw the grenade at
the boxes to kill the enemy behind them). Shoot any survivors (stay back and
let them pop out of cover) and then go up the stairs.

Cook a grenade and throw it behind the back row of boxes. Go up the stairs and
shoot the survivors - stay back to kill the Shock Troopers and they won't be
too much of a problem. Push the door open and get on the emplaced StA3 LMG to
your right. Kill the enemies at the back and too the left, but watch out for
the enemies who will drop down from the roof above the door - shoot them as or
just after they come down.

Once all the enemies are dead, go over to the aforementioned door. Face the
door whilst Garza unlocks it, only to have him take a shotgun shell to the
chest.
Kill the Commando as he reloads, and then shoot the 2 Commandos - simply hold
down the trigger until they're both dead. If you get shot by one of the
shotguns, you'll probably die.

Once they're both dead, revive Garza and go through the newly opened door. Go
through the 2nd automatic door to your left and knife the 2 enemies inside (if
that doesn't work then simply throw a grenade in and knife or shoot the
survivors. Go back in to the room Garza unlocked the door to and this time go
around the wire fences and through the automatic door you find here. Go up the
stairs with Garza.

[CP] There will be troopers shooting at you from an elevated platform to the
right of the stairs - throw a grenade at them (throw it from the stairs and
rebound it off the wall if you can) to kill them, then shoot the Shock Trooper
and the Commando that are going to make their way down the stairs. Don't try to
knife them or you'll be slaughtered. Make sure the upper level is completely
clear then revive Garza if you need to and plant a charge on the next piece of
enemy artillery. Get out of the blast radius and blow the D-Charge.

[X] Destroy enemy artillery (2 of 2)

[CP] Go through the automatic door only to have the next one open for you to
reveal another room full of enemies. Throw a grenade or 2 in there and then
shoot anyone who comes near the door. Go through the door when you think every
enemy is dead (shoot any survivors), and then go through one of the automatic
doors. Walk across the walkway and then drop down through the holes in the
ground. Go down the stairs and through the tunnel to arrive outside in the
Corinth Shanties.

[ ] Rendezvous with ISA Forces in the shanties

Once you're outside, go to the other end of the shanties and up the ramp.
You'll hear an ISA soldier calling for you - go to him and pick up his ammo.

[X] Rendezvous with ISA Forces in the shanties
[ ] Eliminate all hostiles

Go in to the small hut opposite the soldier when he dies. You can camp here and
kill the next wave of enemies one by one - the key is to let them come to you
one at a time rather than rushing out Rambo style and getting your ass kicked.
If you run out of ammo for your M82 Assault Rifle, go up the ramp to the roof,
grab the M82 Assault Rifle, then run back to where you were before (obviously,
deal with any resistance met along the way.

Remember to aim down the sights as soon as an enemy starts firing at you, as
you need to know where to shoot before you start firing, otherwise you're a
goner. Enemies can and will down the ramp to the right (if you're facing the
dead ISA soldier) so be wary of that. If Garza needs reviving, don't revive him
until you know it's safe to go outside.

[CP] Eventually, a dropship will arrive. Stay in your hiding hole and keep to
the aforementioned strategy. Again, watch the ramp to the right, as enemies can
surprise you from up there, however most of the enemies will be on the ground.
So long as you keep back, the Shock Troopers shouldn't give you much grief -
it's the Assault Infantry that you want to hit first.

Eventually, the only enemies left will be on the roof above you, as well as to
the left (if you're facing the dead ISA soldier). Go up the ramp, killing any
enemies you encounter. You may want to hang back for a bit if they begin to
advance on you, but if not, make your way to the roof, killing the enemy using
the Emplaced LMG first.

Add to this the fact that there are Support Troopers firing rockets at you, and
you have a tricky situation on your hands. Remember that once a rocket is
fired, it's destination is set, so stay far away and keep moving to avoid being
hit. If you can get up close to a Support Trooper, it's defenseless, so knife
the bastard. However, you'll have to shoot some of them. Carefully move around
the roof of the shanties, using grenades to kill those on the ground from the
roof. Shoot any remaining enemies and eventually you'll clear the area.

[X] Eliminate all hostiles
[ ] Rejoin the convoy

[CP] Go over to Garza and boost each other up on to the higher ledge. Follow
Garza through the hallway and go left to fall in to the area below. Shoot the
glowing yellow boxes stuck to the walls to destroy the lasers and make it safe
to walk through the area (they will explode, so keep your distance). Climb the
2 ladders to meet up with Rico.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.4.5: Substation Strongpoint:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[X] Rejoin the convoy
[ ] Secure the Power Station

[CP] Go to the alleyway to the right and shoot one of the yellow boxes on the
left wall to destroy both lasers. Don't walk out in to the open as you'll be
killed in seconds. There will be Commandos with LS13 Shotguns nearby, so keep
your distance and take them out with a grenade or two. There will also be
enemies shooting at you from a high vantage point in the power station itself,
so shoot them before you run out in to the open. When Garza tells you to, put a
D-Charge on the door, then quickly run to a safe distance and blow the charge.

[CP] Enemies will jump down from higher floors of the power station to the
ground. Throw a grenade or two inside, then shoot any survivors on the ground
floor before carefully making your way upstairs after making sure the ground
floor is clear. Enemies upstairs will still be able to shoot at you so be
careful. If you're lucky enough to kill a Support Trooper, take his VC9 Rocket
Launcher and use it upstairs, then go back down and get your M82 Assault Rifle
before returning upstairs.

[X] Secure the Power Station
[ ] Demolish the Power Station

Eventually, Garza will tell you to plant D-Charges on the four main pillars of
the power station. Go around to each pillar and quickly plant the charges, but
be wary of the Riflemen shooting you from the roof. Kill them if you can, but
you may be able to escape their fire if you plant the D-Charges quick enough.
Once all four charges are planted, make your exit to be rewarded with one big
explosion.

After the cutscene, you'll be at Salamun Bridge.

:4.5.1: Bridge East:

[ ] Secure the bridge

After the cutscene, take an M327 Grenade Launcher from the gun rack and return
the Grenadiers' fire - the thing may be a bit hard to aim, even if you are
zoomed in and have the aiming reticule (I can't get the hang of it) but a
direct hit with a grenade will kill an enemy (and kill or severely wound any
enemies nearby). Grenades that land on the ground will explode after a set
amount of time, giving enemies a chance to retreat, so fire more grenades where
they run to.

Eventually, you'll run out of launchable grenades, go back and pick up your
M82 Assault Rifle to continue fighting. This segment is a particular pain in
the ass due to the fact that there are incoming mortars during the entire
segment, and if one hits you, you have to restart the whole segment. Yep, no
checkpoints for now. It'll require a bit of luck, let me tell you.

Regardless, slowly advance on the enemy, taking cover wherever its available
(mainly on the left and right sides of the bridge) and kill enemies as you
encounter them. Remember, there will be explosions everywhere, and you'll die
quite a few times before making it through this segment. The enemies will keep
respawning (Grenadiers aside) until you get about halfway across the bridge,
where the middle of the bridge will be raised.

Now focus your attention on the 2 emplaced LMG stations, on the left and right
sides of the bridge. Pick a side and stick to it regarding cover - don't move
from this position unless you absolutely have to. Shoot the Emplaced Gunner
that you can see from your position, then kill the enemies around that
position. Then quickly find a different spot where you can take down the other
Emplaced Gunner, followed by the enemies around the station. Once all the
enemies are dead, you can walk to the end of this side of the bridge.

[X] Secure the bridge
[ ] Lower the bridge

An ISA soldier will kick a gate open for you, so follow him down the path and
out of this area. Eventually, you'll meet up with some more ISA soldiers.

[ ] Secure enemy AA gun

This part can be tricky if you don't know the game mechanics. The wave of
enemies will not stop until you shoot the enemy manning the AA gun, so shoot
him
first and foremost. Then, carefully make your way towards the AA gun, using
grenades to flush the enemies out of cover, if not killing them. You may want
to hang back and shoot some of the enemies through the wire fence before using
your grenades to advance.

Once all the enemies are dead, make your way up to the AA gun, but don't hop in
just yet. 2 lone enemies will make their way on to the dock to the right of the
building, so shoot the red barrel when they're both near it to kill them first,
then man the AA gun and shoot the waves of enemies as they exit the building
Any enemies that exit the building without being killed are instantly a threat
to you, so if you miss one you should probably focus on killing the enemies
that are shooting at you rather than the ones that are exiting the building.

There will be Support Troopers with rockets, but I've noticed that rockets can
hit the AA gun and not damage you, although if the AA gun takes to much damage
it will explode IIRC, but that's if you're not killed first. Use the barrels to
your advantage, shooting them when enemies are nearby. Once all the enemies are
dead, make your way across the area to find a set of stairs and a doorway. Go
up the stairs and through the doorway, then up the remaining stairs to arrive
in a control room on the other side of the bridge.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.5.3: Bridge West:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

There will be a valve in this control room, so turn it to lower the bridge.

[X] Lower the bridge
[ ] Secure the bridge

[CP] Garza will come over and open the door for you. Pick up a VC32 Sniper
Rifle, and then quickly run out the door, but head back inside immediately
afterwards. This will trigger a wave of Shock Troopers and Assault Infantry.
Leave these guys for your allies to deal with, as going outside is suicide.
Instead, stay inside the control room and repeatedly snipe the Emplaced Gunners
and Support Troopers at the other end of the bridge. They'll respawn, but
you'll keep their fire off your allies and on you, and the Emplaced Gunners are
terrible shots form that far away. If a rocket comes towards you, run down the
stairs in the control room for cover.

Eventually, there will be very few ground troops left, and at this point grab
either a VC9 Rocket Launcher or your M82 Assault Rifle and continue along the
bridge. Use either your primary weapon or grenades to take out any remaining
ground troops, then simply run to the other end of the bridge to complete the
objective. When Garza tells you to, go to his position, and after the cutscene,
you'll be at Radec Academy.

[X] Secure the bridge
[ ] Secure the Academy

Follow your squad in to the building ahead of you. When Garza opens the door,
go up the stairs to either the left or right of the door and wait at the closed
door in front of you. Natko will say "something smells fishy". Start cooking a
grenade". Rico will yell "Ambush!". At this point, there will be troops all
over the courtyard, and the door will open.

[ ] Eliminate all hostiles

Throw the grenade and it should kill or knock back the troops you threw it at.
Throw another grenade immediately afterwards, then go to the door that you
didn't go to the first time (go up the other set of stairs) and kill the
enemies you'll find there with a grenade (if they're only knocked back, then
quickly melee or knife them).

You can go around meleeing/knifing any remaining Support Troopers, but be wary
of other enemies that it isn't safe to walk right up to, and shoot them first.
It is dark, so not only is it hard to see enemies and where they're shooting
from, hence making it difficult to return fire, you may have some trouble
distinguishing enemy types. Don't try to melee or knife a Commando because
he'll blow your head off with his shotgun.

[X] Eliminate all hostiles

Go to the big, closed door with the rest of your squad. Eventually, Garza will
open it, and you can walk on through. After the discussion your squad has and
the cutscene, you'll be on the Academy Rooftop.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:.5.5: Academy Rooftop:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Quickly grab the VC9 Rocket Launcher and run off the left or right side of the
platform to the lower part of the roof, then turn around and you'll find a
tunnel. Pick one side of the tunnel and stay at the entrance to that side of
the tunnel, aiming at one of the glowing blue electric things with your M4
Revolver. As soon as the ATAC comes in to your field of view, shoot the
electric thing, pull out your VC9 Rocket Launcher and fire two rockets at the
ATAC (it'll fly away before you can fire anymore at it, so don't waste ammo).

It'll fly away. At this point, go to the middle of the tunnel to avoid being
killed by the ATAC's rocket fire. When the rocket fire stops, go to the other
end of the tunnel and aim at one of the electric things on this side. Again,
when you see the ATAC, shoot the electric thing and fire 2 more rockets at the
ATAC. If the ATAC isn't destroyed, go back to the middle of the tunnel to avoid
the rocket fire and repeat the strategy one more time until it is destroyed.

Go across the bridge and then simply run across the barren landscape until you

You'll arrive in a room.

After the door opens, go outside with Rico.

[ ] Activate the antenna

[CP] Follow Rico until you find a lone Intruder on the ground. If you want one,
there is an M82 Assault Rifle on one of the Intruder's sides. Continue to
follow Rico until you reach a locked door. When he tells you to follow the
wires, look up to see a thick, grey wire that's connected to the lock - follow
this wire until you reach a small building. Rico will knock the next 2 doors
down for you, and you'll find the scout crew mangled in the last room.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.6.3: Maintenance Office:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Pick up the VC21 Bolt Gun from the gun rack near the door, and then pull
the lever to open the locked door that you came from. Face the exit door and as
soon as the Miner knocks it down, shoot him in the chest - this is the best way
to use the VC21 Boltgun. Kill the other 2 Miners that are here, and then pick
up their StA3 LMGs - remember, you can get an aiming reticle with the StA3 LMG
by pressing the 'aim down the sights' button.

There will be enemies shooting at you from the distance, so when they pop out
of cover, line up your shot, and when they pop out of cover again, shoot them
until they're dead. Go up to the platform where those enemies were shooting you
from to find a ladder. Go up this ladder and run to cover. You can shoot the
enemies on the bridge here with ease, but the enemies on the ground can still
get you. Use this elevated platform to take cover from enemies shooting at you
from the ground. Your StA3 LMG should be able to kill enemies easily, so long
as you crouch and zoom in.

There will be a lot of enemies, so you shouldn't assume an area is clear until
you know for sure. Once the enemies near and around the elevated platform are
dead, head towards the door you opened earlier. There will be more Miners and
Assault Infantry here, so kill them off one by one. There is quite a lot of
cover, but enemies can run around a lot of it and surprise you, so be vary of
your surroundings.

Once all the enemies are dead, go through the door and through the building.
You can top up on StA3 LMG ammo at the gun rack.

[CP] Be careful - if the petrusite barrels are damaged, they will explode, and
if you're caught in the electrical aftermath you'll be hurt. After you've made
your way through the building, you see an exit.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.6.4: Vojislav Mining Facility:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Run out in to the open and to the left. Don't stop running or try to shoot a
Scout, or you'll probably be sniped, and the VC32 Sniper Rifle is a 1 hit kill
for you. Go around the buildings on the left, and if you want you can melee a
sniper who's facing the other way if you go up the first set of stairs you see
and look to your right. Regardless, go around all the buildings to the left
until you see more stairs at the end (stairs that you can't walk past).

Position yourself under the stairs, and shoot at the Miners ahead of you. Move
to the right to take cover if you're being fired upon. There will be about 5 or
6 Miners to kill. Once you haven't heard any bullets for a while, move out, but
be wary - if you are attacked by a Miner, you'll have little time to get
yourself to cover, as he'll end your life quickly with that StA3 LMG. Once all
the Miners are dead, go up the ramp ahead of you and turn around.

[CP] Go through the building, around the corner and up the stairs. You'll be a
in a small control room. Watch out for the spiders here - kill them if they get
near you or attack you, as they can kill you if you're not careful. Head
outside, but aim up at the top of the stairs, as enemies will probably appear
in front of you. Go up the stairs and keep advancing until you see them, then
quickly kill them. When he's dead, continue along and go down the stairs if you
haven't already.

Stop walking ahead when you hear Sentry Bots arrive (a screeching noise). Rush
to one end of the bridge (the end where you came form is best) and aim at the
roof. Shoot down the Sentry Bots, firing bursts at a time to maintain accuracy.
Once they're both down, climb the ladder and turn the valve.

[X] Activate the Antenna
[ ] Rendezvous with Alpha Squad

Go back the way you came, all the way down the stairs and back outside, and
you'll meet more resistance.

[CP] Use the metal scraps as cover and stay back, killing off the enemies one
by one. They won't advance on you much, so you don't have to worry about that.
They'll stick to cover liberally, so use your grenades to kill anyone who does
that - in that case, you'll have to advance a little, so be careful. Use the
buildings as cover, but save one grenade for later.

Advance very, VERY slowly, in an attempt to take enemies out one at a time. Any
more than two or three enemies shooting at you at any one time is going to end
badly for you. If you run out of ammo for your StA3 LMG, then temporarily
switch to the StA52 Assault Rifle, for which ammo is plentiful at the moment.

Keep advancing slowly until you see four Helghast appear at the door you came
out of that leads to this area. Throw your grenade at them and hopefully all
four of them will at least be hit, if not killed. Shoot any survivors whilst
they're down, and then go back in to the building you exited earlier. You can
get another StA3 LMG and ammo here. Make your way back through the building
until you're back in Suljeva North.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.6.5: Suljeva North:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Keep going back the way you came, and when you see it, head towards the
flaming Intruder. Eventually, a cutscene will ensue.

[X] Rendezvous with Alpha Squad
[ ] Rescue Alpha Squad

[CP] After the cutscene, you'll be met with more resistance. There's an
elevated platform ahead of you, to your right - it's the closest elevated
platform to the enemies that are attacking you. Shoot anyone you can from where
you start, then make your way under this elevated platform. You can shoot
enemies from here, but you're not protected much, so kill any enemies you see
quickly, hopefully before they see you.

Once you can't hit anymore enemies, go up the stairs and on top of the elevated
platform. Go to the very right of the platform for cover, but there is a
Grenadier who can still hit you if you're in cover. From the elevated platform,
kill any remaining enemies hiding behind the white boxes. There is a red barrel
you can shoot to take some nearby enemies out.

Once all the enemies are dead, make your way past the white boxes and in to the
next area. You'll enter another building. Make your way through it and after
you've crossed the bridge, you'll see an exit to another outdoor area.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.6.6: Waystation 14:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

There will be two Miners on the small bridge outside, so shoot them both. Then
focus your attention on the lower bridge to the left (facing the way you were
when you arrived outside again). There will be two more Miners down here, so
shoot them as well. Use the boxes and the entrances as cover if you need to.

After they're all dead, two Sentry Bots will appear, one on each side of the
bridge. Take them down quickly, taking cover at the entrances between shots. A
Helghast soldier will command the door to be opened. Aim at the door and shoot
whoever you can before anyone moves to cover. There will be 2 enemies in the
small room to the right of the door, and they may or may not come out to
attack, but regardless, shoot them when you see them.

Once all the enemies here are dead, continue down the hallway and in to the
small room. You'll see a train leave.

[ ] Secure the Train

[CP] There are a lot of enemies outside, and you're not safe, even if you're in
the room. You'll see metal gratings - two in the floor and one on the wall near
the other two. You can shoot any Helghast that you see through these, and some
should be under the room you're in, visible through the gratings. Shoot them,
and then go outside and turn to the right. Try and take out the Support Trooper
on the stairs before his rocket kills you, or any other enemies shooting at you
do so. Whether or not you succeed, return to the room.

Some Miners may climb the stairs outside and shoot at you through the grating
in the wall, so shoot them before they get a chance to shoot you. Shoot anyone
else you can see, then go back out side - either try to kill the Support
Trooper again, or go to the ground and take cover using the boxes.

There will probably still be enemies on the ground, and some of them may be
very close to you, so stick to cover until you know you're safe, and kill them
off one by one, focusing on the Support Trooper if he isn't dead already. Once
everyone on the ground floor is dead, head up the stairs where the Support
Trooper was and you'll be on the second story of the waystation.

[CP] Stay back and try and kill as many Helghast as you can before advancing
beyond the top of the stairs. You'll be surprised how many Helghast you can hit
from here with either your StA3 LMG or the VC32 Sniper Rifle (which can be
found on the gun rack on the ground floor, near the stairs).

Once you can't hit any more Helghast, continue across and turn right at the
first intersection. Continue to kill any Helghast you find on the way, but
there shouldn't be many as you can get most of them from back at the staircase,
even with an StA3 LMG (if your aim is good). Turn left at the next
intersection, then right, then left, and after the cutscene, you'll be in
Tharsis Refinery...

+---------------------+
4.7: Tharsis Refinery
+---------------------+

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.7.1: Suljeva Minetrain:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

... well, on a train heading to Tharsis Refinery. Your outstanding objective
from the previous level is still your priority, so move up the train. About
halfway along the first carriage, you'll encounter enemy guards. You only have
your M4 Revolver at the moment, so use it if you wish. SAVE YOUR GRENADES, AS
YOU WILL NEED THEM LATER!

If you want a better weapon, go around the left side of the tank covered in a
sheet to find a gun rack with a VC21 Boltgun for you. Take it and continue
along the first carriage, killing any enemies you encounter along the way if
they weren't dealt with beforehand. When you reach the end of the outdoor area,
go inside.

[CP] There will be enemies in here too, mainly Shock Troopers, and they've got
a surprise for you - Tesla Grenades. These are practically electric grenades,
and are deadly if they explode near you, so if you see or hear one, move away
from it. If you're hit, you're probably going to die.

The best way to take these guys out if to go around the right side of the boxes
on the lower level and camp on the right side, using your Boltgun to kill the
enemies in the next carriage one by one, and taking cover with the wall of the
carriage you're in.

Kill the enemy on the very left side of the next carriage first as he has Tesla
Grenades and will throw one without hesitation should you give him the chance.
The remaining enemies shouldn't be too hard to pick off from here, and they may
not even see you. Once they're all dead, move through the next carriage and go
outside again (revive Rico if necessary). Run all the way up to the tank you'll
see on the carriage.

[CP] Now get in the tank and kill the wave of Helghast with the MG. This will
be difficult on the first few attempts, and you'll probably die quite a few
times, but eventually you'll get past it. Never, EVER take cover whilst using
the MG, because as soon as you pop out of cover, there's a 99.99% chance that
you'll be shot whilst coming out of cover and be dead before you can fire
another round.

Also, remember that these enemies are quick and nimble, and will do commando
rolls and stick to cover to avoid your fire. When you see an enemy, fill him
with bullets until the reticle turns white again - there were so many times
where I fired at an enemy and it fell, me thinking it was dead, then it gets
right back up and kills me. Be SURE that enemies are dead after shooting the,
but also remember that there are about 10 other jerks just like him asking for
the same treatment, and that they are constantly firing at you.

Whilst you do get an aiming reticle by zooming in, the MG will rotate slower
whilst it's zoomed in, so zoom out and back in when you want to aim at an enemy
in a completely different position. Rico may help you a bit, but chances are
he'll be mortally wounded before he can do any real damage. Be careful not to
let enemies get close to the MG, as these guys are REAL accurate up close.
Nonetheless, once you've killed the entire wave of enemies, get out of the MG
and continue to the next carriage.

[CP] This is another frustrating part, but I've found a strategy that makes it
a whole lot easier. This is the easiest way I've found to do this, and I've
tried it several times with great success. So long as you do it right, this
part shouldn't be much trouble.

The objective here is to destroy the tank that's firing bullets and rockets at
you. This isn't the real problem, however, as there will be an constant stream
of enemies that will hunt you down like a dog until you destroy that tank. This
makes it hard to keep yourself alive whilst killing the enemies and then
getting a slim opportunity to fire upon the tank.

Quickly rush to the gun rack and pick up the VC9 Rocket Launcher. Run to the
right and wait until the enemies are close to each other, then fire a rocket at
them to kill them all. Hopefully they're all dead, or being taken care of by
Rico.

You'll have to put your faith in Rico to take care of any survivors, whilst you
stand behind the gun rack, go out to the left, aim at the tank, fire a rocket
at it, being careful not to hit any obstacles in the way, go back behind the
gun rack to reload, and repeat until the tank is destroyed. This is the part
where you'll need a bit of luck, as stray enemies can kill you if Rico doesn't
see them or if he is mortally wounded.

You'll need to hit the tank with three rockets to destroy it. Aiming,
reloading, it all takes up precious time, and if you're not done by the time
the next wave of enemies comes past the tank, you'll probably be killed before
the next checkpoint.

But when you've destroyed the tank, it ain't over yet - another wave of enemies
will probably have spawned. This time, it's a bit easier though, as the enemies
won't rush you all at once (they'll take cover behind boxes, rather), and you
have a freakin' rocket launcher, as well as some spare ammo, so use it against
the final wave of enemies if you wish. Once those enemies are dead, be sure to
pick up a gun (the StA52 Assault Rifle or the StA11 SMG should do) and continue
along the last carriage. An enemy will drop from the roof, but just knife him
when you reach him. Run inside the carriage and through the last door when Rico
knocks it down.

[X] Secure the train
[ ] Locate Alpha Squad

After the cutscene, you'll see some guards in the distance. Aim at the glowing
petrusite barrel near them, then aim away from it, shoot one shot, then aim
back at the barrel and shoot it to take down all three guards in one go. Shoot
any survivors if need be, and go pick up another gun and/or some ammo from the
gun rack if you wish.

After Rico is done briefing you, help him climb over the wire fence, and run to
the right, past the boxes. Three more Helghast soldiers will come out of an
doorway, so throw a well timed and cooked grenade at the doorway to kill them
all, or at least throw them to the ground, so you can melee or knife them. If
anyone survives, you'll have to shoot them. If no one is hurt, then simply stay
back and take them out by shooting them one by one or with more grenades.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.7.3: Lower Refinery Complex:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Walk through the doorway and continue along until you find an electrical
disturbance blocking your path. There is a thin, blue box hanging on the wall
on the other side of the electrical disturbance, similar to the one you found
in Visari Square. Shoot it to clear your path.

Continue through the passage and you'll exit the passage in another open area.
Face the gun rack you can see from here, and you'll see a small gap between the
box the gun rack is against and the wall. Run to this gap and pull out your
knife.

The Helghast will make their way over to you, and you can knife them as you see
fit, or shoot them. Don't leave this spot unless you want to draw attention -
let them come to you, and then kill them. Once they're all dead, go back out in
to the open space and jump over the electrical disturbance on the floor (it
won't will you if you jump over it) and on to the elevator. Press the button to
begin your descent.

[CP] Run forwards, and after the cutscene, run around the box to the left
(facing the ArcTrooper), to end up on the left side of the field. There will be
big, glowing barrels of petrusite moving above you - shoot these when they're
near the ArcTrooper to have them drop to the floor, electrocuting and hence
stalling the ArcTrooper.

Just like with the Heavies, shoot the red tanks on the ArcTrooper's back until
they explode and kill him. Be sure to move away if you need to, but the barrels
come along at such a rate that as soon as the ArcTrooper recovers, you can
stall him again. Repeat this strategy until the ArcTrooper goes up in flames.

[CP] Once he's dead, pick up his VC5 Electricity Gun (you'll need this) and
climb up the ladder near where you just killed the ArcTrooper. Press the button
and some enemies will attack you - one from an elevated platform, one from the
ground. The electricity gun should be able to take care of these guys from
where you are, but if it can't reach them, use your M4 Revolver to take them
down. Once they're both dead, go around the newly opened door and up the
ladder.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.7.4: Processing Complex:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Run across the metal walkway and in to the next room. Climb the ladder and
continue along the metal walkway until you encounter a set of buckets. Fall in
to a bucket and duck. Only stand when you have to kill enemies with the
electricity gun - kill them quickly, as their bullets have a longer range than
your electricity gun does, and hence they are a danger to you for longer than
you are a danger to them.

Keep vigilant, and keep moving, even in your restricted space, as less bullets
will hit you. If you are repeatedly dying during this part, know that once you
know where the enemies are, it gets easier each time and you'll make more
progress on each attempt until you finally reach the end.

Remember that although the electricity gun has infinite ammo, it does need to
be reloaded, and you should reload the electricity gun when there are no
enemies actually shooting at you, or when they can't hit you. Reload often to
ensure that you have enough power stored to kill enemies.

[CP] Eventually, the bucket will open and you'll fall to the ground. There'll
be another blue electricity switch for the force field - it's high up on the
control room's outer wall, on the part that's diagonal to the rest of the wall.
Once you've shot the switch, go to the entrance to the control room.

Your electricity gun works wonders here. Just stay back and let the gun do the
work for you. Once you've cleared both rooms, go outside, turn left and go down
the stairs. Continue down the stairs and across the walkway and through the
hallways until you're in another open area.

[ ] Rendezvous with Rico

[CP] This area is swarming with Sentry Bots, and you can't just run through
without destroying them or you'll be killed. They'll pop up everywhere,
although mainly in front of you. When they do pop up to the left or right and
you don't have time to see them, either rush to cover, or try to evade their
fire whilst trying to spot them.

They can take you down in one burst of bullets, so be extremely fast with
taking these guys out. Shooting them whilst they're moving is the best time to
do so, as they won't fire back until they stop moving, but they'll probably be
destroyed by then.

Whilst the electricity gun is powerful and has good range, the Sentry Bots can
hit you from quite a distance, and are hard to spot in this dark area. Use
their screeches and their gun fire to locate them, then take them down quickly.
Again, let them come to you, or reposition themselves so you can get a good
shot at them.

Once you get to the elevator, press the button to go up. Once you've stopped,
turn around and go through the doorway to enter another room (don't worry, it's
empty as far as enemies are concerned). Go through the hallway with the train
tracks and through the final doorway.

[ ] Secure the LZ

After the cutscene, go across to the other side of the room, turn right and go
up the ramp. Kill every soldier you encounter with the electricity gun. There
will be a non-stop stream of Sentry Bots as well, so take these guys down of
they pose a threat to you (they'll crash a lot as they're flying around in a
tight area). You won't have much to use for cover, but the building's supports
and boxes you'll find along the way will do the trick.

There will be enemies shooting at you from all directions, but take the
opportunity of their unwanted direct line of fire upon you and kill them with
the electricity gun - it should be able to kill enemies on the other side of
the room. Continue up the ramp, killing every enemy you encounter. Remember to
reload frequently, and if you do run out of ammo in a close range firefight,
simply pull out your knife and slash them all to death.

[CP] Eventually, you'll reach some stairs. Stop at the base of the stairs, and
aim at the railings of the platforms just above you. Fire the electricity gun,
and it should take out any enemies near the railing, including those who are
behind cover (gotta love the electricity gun).

Go up the stairs, killing any enemies and destroying any Sentry Bots you
encounter along the way, until you reach a room near a staircase. Kill the
enemy here, then go up the staircase and push the button to lower the elevator
for Garza. After Natko hacks both locks, go through the doors and up the big
flight of stairs on the left side of this room.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.7.8: Tharsis Aerial Dock:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Go up the ramp and around the metal walls to arrive at the landing zone,
just as Radec makes his escape. There will be about four soldiers on the
ground, so just run up to them and kill them all with one big burst of
electricity. Knife any survivors.

[CP] There will now be soldiers on the elevated walkways. There's no way to get
up there, so you'll have to use the boxes as cover whilst you kill the enemies
with your electricity gun. They'll position themselves across the entire
walkway, so they'll effectively be shooting at you from two directions.

Take care of the ones shooting you from the part of the walkway that you were
directly facing when you first arrived at the landing zone (the side that
enemies aren't coming from), and then kill off the enemies on the other part of
the walkway. As before, you can still hit them if they're behind cover, and you
don't have to get too close.

[CP] Eventually, Evelyn will come out to the landing zone with Garza.

[ ] Secure the Comms Tower

You'll need to enter the Comms Tower. Natko will unlock the door for you, and
after that's done, go inside and up the stairs. Knife the enemy inside, and
take the VC32 Sniper Rifle. Unfortunately, your electricity gun won't reach the
enemies from this far away. Your electric rampage ends here. Sad face.

[X] Secure the Comms Tower

Regardless, you'll need to snipe the new wave of enemies that's on the ground.
One will man an Emplaced StA3 LMG, so take him out first, but be wary that
other soldiers may take his place. There are a few red barrels lying around
(notably, one is near the Emplaced StA3 LMG) so use them to your advantage. Go
for headshots, as enemies can take a shot to the body and live.

Take cover, pop out, take a few shots (and hopefully kill an enemy) and then
take cover again, reloading if you choose to. You could also simply keep aiming
and trying to kill enemies until you are hit, at which point you take cover and
reload. Try and hit targets when they are still, even better if they aren't
looking at you. Eventually, you'll hear some rockets be fired, and a big ship
will descend on to the landing zone.

After the cutscene, run to the elevator and press the button.

[CP] Don't worry about shooting any of the Helghast you see on your way up - so
long as you don't provoke them they shouldn't give you trouble. Eventually,
you'll reach the top floor, and you'll see an explosion.

[CP] Wait until all the Helghast are inside the same room that you're in, and
then throw a cooked grenade at them. You may not hit all of them, but throw
another if you feel the need, then run up there and knife any survivors rather
than shooting them, as these Elite Shock Troopers take a LOT of bullets before
they die. Go to the next elevator and press the button. Once you're at the top,
run to Templar's location in the bridge.

An enemy will come around the corner, so melee or knife him. Do a 180 degree
turn and another enemy should come around another corner, so shoot him. Do
another 180 degree turn and go around the corner the first enemy appeared from.

You'll see some explosions and some enemies will drop to the ground. Shoot them
whilst they're sliding down the rope if you can, but otherwise deal with them
as soon as possible. There may be an enemy around the corner here as well, and
if you go around to see and there is an enemy, simply melee or knife him -
close quarters combat does wonders here.

Once all the enemies in this area are dead, continue along the walkway and
you'll hear more explosions. Rather than actually dealing with these guys, jump
over the railing to land on a lower platform, then jump off again to land on
the ground.

There will be a Sentry Bot here, as well as two Pyro Troopers and a Heavy that
will come out of a door. You can melee or knife the two Pyro Troopers if you're
protected from the Heavy's fire, but otherwise get to cover fast and don't
worry about the Pyro Troopers unless they get close to you (in which case,
melee or knife them). Take down the Sentry Bot whenever you please (before or
after you take on the Heavy, whichever is best for you), but remember that it
packs a punch, and if you're concentrating on another enemy, the Sentry Bot may
kill you by surprise.

Your main concern, however, is the Heavy. As you did in previous Heavy
encounters, you must shoot the Heavy's head, then shoot the red tanks on his
back until they explode. I battled the Heavy near the door opposite he one he
came out of, and it's a great spot for not being hit by the Heavy's fire, and
being able to pop out at the right moment, shoot his head and then shoot the
barrels on his back. Repeat this procedure until the Heavy explodes, then take
care of the Pyro Troopers if you haven't already.

:4.8.4: Air Traffic Control:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

You have two types of fire available for use here: bullets (R1) and rockets
(L1). You have an unlimited supply of bullets, but only rockets to use. You
can still be killed here, so don't let your guard down for a second. There
isn't much of a target to reach or anything like that, just fire at any ship
you see.

The first wave will consist of Leech Pods (the smaller ships) arriving. You
don't have to aim directly at them and fire to hit them, just aim in their
general direction and fire, and you should eventually destroy the ship. Don't
fire bullets for too long or, like other emplaced weapons, the gun will over
heat and you'll stop firing temporarily.

The first wave should be too difficult, just fire at the Leech Pods as they're
arriving. A few ships may fly past you, so fire rockets at them before they
leave your field of view. Eventually, the guy talking to you will say something
like "they're leaving us alone". BS.

ISA ships will now join the battle, marked with blue shields. Be careful not to
hit them, but avoiding that shouldn't be too difficult. Continue firing at
Leech Pods as they fly around - they won't be arriving anymore, so just shoot
at them as they fly by. Simply aim where the red arrows are pointing and fire.

[CP] After this wave, the Bright Dawn will explode and fall from the sky. This
is the final wave, so go nuts with any remaining rockets you have left over
(although you can do this whole segment without firing a single rocket) and
keep taking the Leech Pods down. Ignore the guy talking to you when he says
that you're on your last rounds of ammo, you don't have be conservative or
anything, just keep blowing them to pieces until the guy talking to you says
that you're out of ammo, at which point you'll automatically get out of the AA
gun.

[ ] Evacuate from the cruiser

Run to Natko and follow him. He'll eventually run through a door and on to an
elevator. Press the button to start the descent. Helghast will try to attack
you whilst the elevator is descending, so stick close to Natko and you should
live through the ordeal. Fire back if need be. Beware of any grenades that may
fall in to the elevator.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.8.6: Emergency Stairwell C:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] Eventually, the elevator will stop. Head out to the right. There will be
enemies hiding in the next path, taking cover behind anything they can find.
They will pop out to shoot eventually, but that's the only indication you'll
have of their presence, so keep a lookout for any enemies you see or hear
firing.

The easiest way to do this is to simply draw your knife and rush around the
reactor, slashing the throats of all the enemies here (make sure they're dead
before you try and continue ahead). There only enemies that may kill you are
the enemies with StA52 Assault Rifles - the rest aren't too deadly up close
unless they hit you, and they'll be dead before they have the chance if you
knife them quickly. Just knife them as you see them, ensuring they're dead
before attacking another enemy, and once the group of enemies is dead, go
through the door.

You'll be on an elevated platform with a few enemies down below. This part is a
bit difficult, so don't just rush in guns blazing or you'll be killed. Stay on
the higher platform, sticking close to the wall to avoid fire, and throwing any
remaining grenades down there to deal with as many enemies as possible before
going down the stairs.

When you have to shoot the remaining enemies, either walk around the platform,
hoping that the enemies don't notice you, and shoot them from behind, or use
either end of the platform as cover and shoot the enemies, or go down the
stairs and quickly shoot the enemies before they kill you, as you have no
cover. Nonetheless, once they're all dead, go down the stairs and through the
next door.

[CP] Rico will begin to talk to you over the radio. Don't go up the stairs
here. Instead, turn left once you've gone through the door and an enemy will
run up to you. Knife him and quickly retreat, as there are two more enemies in
this room. Throw a grenade at the enemies and then knife them whilst they're
down. Go down the stairs on the other side of this part of the room.

Keep going down the stairs and you'll meet up with some ISA soldiers fighting
some Helghast soldiers. Knife the two soldiers unawares and then follow the ISA
soldiers through the door and across the bridge.

[CP] You'll encounter more resistance here. Knife the Pyro Trooper and the
Advanced Assault Infantry you find on the top floor, then throw a grenade on to
the ground floor to kill the Pyro Trooper - if he isn't dead after the blast,
then shoot him from higher ground. The Elite Shock Trooper hiding near the exit
door may run off, but if not, take him out from a distance as well.

Once all the enemies are dead, go through the door and make your way down the
platforms until you're on solid ground. Go through the door to meet up with
Rico, then go through the next door and in to the Intruder deployment area.

After the cutscene, follow Rico and Natko until you meet up with Private
Richards and find the Exoskeleton. After the cutscene, you'll be in the
Exoskeleton. Follow the path and get acquainted with the Exoskeleton as you go.
The machine gun, just like the emplaced StA3 LMGs, will get hot and stop firing
if you fire it for too long. Once you reach your squad and Private Richards, a
cutscene will ensue. After the cutscene, continue along in the Exoskeleton.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.9.2: Industrial Ghost Town:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] You'll encounter a few Helghast troops on the ground - you may be in a
giant mech, but bullets still do damage. If you see sparks flying, get to cover
so that the mech's health can recharge. Kill the ground troops using your
machine gun and your rockets - it shouldn't be that hard.

Continue on and stop at the beginning of the bridge to witness enemy APCs
arriving on the other side. Take one of them out with your rockets from here by
jumping and then firing a rocket at the APC, and try and kill as many ground
troops as possible from here as well. When you're ready, make your way across
the bridge and kill the remaining ground troops. Destroy the other APC if you
want to.

Continue along the ghost town. Enemy Support Troopers will come around the
corner, as well as a few normal troops. Fire a rocket at them before they get
far away to eliminate most of them, then simply stomp on (run over) the
survivors. Go around the corner.

[CP] Shoot at the large, rusted tin wall in front of you so you can see the
canyon up ahead. There will be various Helghast troops here as well as plenty
of Support Troopers with RPGs. You'll want to dodge the rockets at all costs
because they deal deadly amounts of damage to your Exoskeleton.

Once you've killed all the enemies you can see from here, continue going
through the canyon. There is a stolen ISA buggy up ahead attacking you, so blow
it to pieces with your rockets. Shoot or asplode any ground troops before
advancing.

Continue to follow Rico and Garza, and either shoot, fire rockets at or simply
stomp on all the ground troops in this wide open area. Yes, they have RPGs, but
it's still easy to step on them. Some of them are standing on the buildings
however, so shoot them once the ground troops have been taken care of. Once all
the troops in this area are dead, continue through the ghost town.

[CP] Moments later, you'll encounter 2 more Helghast tanks. Use rockets to
destroy the one on the ground first, but simply shoot at the elevated platform
that the other tank is on to have it fall in to the ditch below and go up in
flames. Continue across the bridge and you'll catch up with Narville's convoy.

Follow the convoy in to the open area. Stay back and take out the enemy tank
that's strafing left and right first, then take care of any ground troops the
convoy hasn't. Rather than attempting to use the large metal wall to your left
as cover, simply stay back behind everyone else until the first tank is
destroyed by your rockets.

After the tank is destroyed and the ground troops in front of the large ramps
are dead, move up. Go up the ramps fire as many rockets as you can before enemy
rockets hit you and then retreat back down the ramp to heal. Shoot the Support
Troopers in the building from the bottom of the ramp, and then go back up to
fire more rockets at the tank.

The tanks will retreat to hiding between the rocky terrain and the left and
right sides of the building respectively. Destroy the left tank first by
retreating, healing and attacking over and over until it's down, then make your
way over to the right tank to destroy it. There will be troops on the ground
here, so shoot them with your machine gun whilst using the rockets to destroy
the tank. Use the nearby building as cover.

After you've destroyed both tanks, a cutscene will ensue. After the cutscene,
you'll be in Visari Palace.

You've done it. You're at the final frontier. This will be one hell of a fight.
Expect to die a lot before you make it through the final two segments, as they
are both a pain in the ass. Keep that StA3 LMG throughout the ordeal, until the
final fight when you are told to switch weapons. Ammo is plentiful for this
baby, and you will NEED that aiming reticle when you're zoomed in the get

now.

After the cutscene, as soon as you have control of Sev, run forwards, but don't
sprint. An Intruder will land in front of you, and it will get blown to pieces.
If you sprint past it, you'll be killed by the explosion. After it explodes,
run past it.

[ ] Destroy the enemy Towers

[CP] Run down the stairs to your right. Keep running until you reach some boxes
that you can use for cover. Use the boxes as cover, and strafe just a bit to
the left to be able to take a shot at the enemies on the ground and at the
Emplaced StA3 LMG. As there are a lot of ISA troops here, you can kill a lot of
the enemies before they realise who's shooting at them. Of course, take out the
Mounted Gunner first, then focus on the other troops. Shoot enemies' limbs when
they're blind firing from behind cover, as if you hit them enough they'll die.

When you can't see any other enemies to shoot, jump over the railing on to the
ground and run to the left. Stop and the gun rack and get some more ammo. Face
the gun rack, and strafe left to see a bunch of enemies. Throw a cooked grenade
at them to get most of them, then shoot the Mounted Gunner quickly before any
blast survivors can get a shot at you. From here, kill any other enemies that
you can see.

When all the enemies you can see are dead, take out your knife and run
forwards, taking out any enemies you missed along the way, then up the stairs
to the left on to the elevated walkway. Knife any enemies immediately
encounter, then throw a grenade at the bunch of enemies further up the walkway,
near the other Emplaced StA3 LMG. Once they're dead (or even knocked back, as
long as they're down it doesn't matter) run across the walkway and through the
first open doorway to the left. Your squad will automatically meet up with the
here.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.10.2: Outer Defenses:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Go up the stairs and through the hallway. There will be a few enemies waiting
for you in the room to the right at the end of the hallway, and if you stay
back you may be able to kill one before they pose a threat to you. Throw a
grenade in there if you have any left, but otherwise you'll have to shoot the
enemies. You can kill most of, if not all of them from the hallway with the
cover they take.

Once they're all dead, move in to the room (knife anyone you missed). There
will be more enemies outside, but don't worry about them unless they're the
reason you're dying repeatedly. There will be a Helghast Tank strafing to the
left and right outside in the distance.

Pick up the VC9 Rocket Launcher from the gun rack and fire rockets at the
Helghast Tank. You'll need to hit the tank with three rockets to destroy it. If
you can hit it whilst it's moving, then go ahead, but if your aim isn't that
good, wait until it stops. Just stay in the hallway and don't go outside,
firing the rockets from inside this room to reduce your risk of injury. There
are spare rockets at the gun rack should you need them.

[CP] Once the tank has been destroyed, kill any enemies that didn't die in the
firefight now (there will probably be one or two guys outside), and once
they're dead, run outside and to the right. Go around to the back of the
building you were just in, and at the back you'll find some stairs.

Pick a set of stairs and face them. Look up. Your first target is the tower you
are facing now. There will be a Mounted Gunner inside, so take him down first,
then go to the entrance to the tower. Kill the other enemy that's inside, and
then go up the stairs. Plant the D-Charge.

[CP] Run outside again (stop just as you exit the building) and blow the
charge. A Heavy will have arrived. You don't have much to use for cover, but
the metal panel on the elevated platform just outside the building (that you
stopped on) works wonders. Take cover, then take down the Heavy. He shouldn't
take too much time to take down with your StA3 LMG, but don't rush things or
you'll be shot.

After the Heavy's down, kill any other enemies in the immediate vicinity that
you can from cover, then exit cover and move towards the tower opposite the
one you just destroyed. There will be another Mounted Gunner here, so take him
down first, then go up to the entrance and shoot the other enemy inside the
tower. Go up the stairs and plant the next D-Charge.

[CP] Run back outside and blow the charge. Half destroyed? Half intact? Who
gives a shit. There are two more towers to get, and they are better protected
as there are more soldiers guarding each one. Facing the gun rack between both
towers you've just destroyed, go to the left, and make your way towards the
tower you can see ahead of you.

Stop at the edge of the elevated walkway you're on and shoot the Helghast
outside the tower, but beware the numerous enemies inside the tower taking
shots at you - they aren't Mounted Gunners, and take far more accuracy to kill,
as all you can see are their heads (and yet they can still shoot you). There is
some cover in the form of tall pieces of metal at the front part of the
elevated walkway you're on. This is a good place to take down both the enemies
on the ground and as many of the enemies in the tower itself as possible.

Once you feel you're ready, go down the stairs and collect ammo from the gun
rack, then run up the stairs. There will probably still be enemies inside the
tower, so let your squad go in there first and make the enemy come out of
hiding and in to view, then shoot them. Once you've killed two or three, it
should be safe to go inside. Shoot anyone else you find (although if you see
someone with an StA3 LMG, you're probably screwed) and plant the D-Charge.

[CP] Run outside and detonate the charge. Another Heavy will arrive, and he
will be walking around the aforementioned front part of the elevated walkway
you were on earlier. You can still take him down from just outside the now
demolished tower, so do so before moving on.

Now make your way across the field, to the other tower, by turning left outside
the tower and running along this elevated walkway, up the small set of stairs
and stopping just as you begin to go down the last small set of stairs. Take
out the enemies in and around the last tower from here.

Again, no Mounted Gunners, just enemies shooting at you from the tower. Once
all the enemies you can see or hear are dead, move up to the tower. Again, let
your allies go in first to get any hiding enemies in sight, then shoot them. Go
up the stairs and in to the tower and plant the final D-Charge. Run outside and
detonate the final D-Charge, destroying the final tower.

[X] Destroy the enemy towers
[ ] Secure the Palace Courtyard

[CP] There will be a whole bunch of enemies on the walkway you walked across
earlier to get to this tower. Quickly run to cover behind the boxes just
outside the former tower and take the enemies out one by one. If an enemy tries
to get any closer to you than the enemies scattered across the walkway, quickly
take him down, as he may throw a grenade at you. If he does, you'll have to
move out of cover and you'll probably be shot to death.

Advance after the first few enemies are dead, and make your way across the
walkway, shooting all the enemies you see, or knifing them, whichever works
best for you. When you see it, get in the open elevator and push the button.
Look out the elevator to see one hell of an explosion. Once you reach the top,
get out of the elevator and run in to the small room, then outside on to the
walkway.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.10.3: Inner Courtyard:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

Run across the elevated walkway and in to the next room. Pick up ammo and
grenades from the gun rack and kill the Pyro Trooper you'll meet near the exit,
then kill any other enemies you can see just outside the room. Once the coast
is clear, dash to the right side of the courtyard, and advance slowly. Go up
the right set of stairs and keep moving forward until you encounter enemies.

The key here is to engage with as few enemies as a time, and kill anyone who
makes a dash for cover or is out in the open. Stick to your guns, your knife
isn't too useful here unless you find yourself extremely close to an enemy, as
there are so many enemies that knifing one will probably end up with you being
shot to death by another.

You'll see a big staircase, and an elevated platform to the left of the stairs.
There are quite a few enemies up there, to either throw a cooked grenade up
there or shoot them as they come to the railing. Remember that quite a few
enemies will also come down the stairs. You're best off running to the corner
to the right of the stairs, and from there letting your allies take care of
enemies, with you assisting them but not leaving cover until the know the coast
is clear. Run up the stairs.

[CP] If you run up enough sets of stairs, you'll see an entrance to a tunnel to
your left. Go inside the tunnel, and shoot any enemies you find inside. Move
forward through the tunnel, and once you go up the stairs and get out of the
tunnel, run for your life through towards the doors at the other end of the
courtyard, as there are no enemies except the Mounted Gunners. Don't try and
shoot them, just make a wild dash for those doors, running around all the
obstacles.

I'm not kidding, it's that easy, and let me tell you, it's a LOT easier than
fighting through the never ending waves of enemies that will spawn here if you
don't move to the doors now. Even if you are killed a few times in the wild
dash, just keep trying. Once you're past the Mounted Gunners, nothing's
stopping you. Once you get to the door, after the cutscene, walk further in to
the sanctum.

Go up the stairs and through the final set of doors. The final battle awaits
you.

:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:
:4.10.4: Autarch's Sanctum:
:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~:

[CP] After Rico closes the door, run towards the balcony at the other end of
the sanctum.

[ ] Fight off Radec's support waves

After the cutscene, run right up to the balcony, waiting at the ground below
and take out your knife. Enemies will jump over the railing to the ground, so
simply knife them as they come. Radec will teleport around the balcony,
shooting at you from various positions, so he may kill you a few times. Don't
shoot at him, however. All he'll do is move. It's a better idea to move
yourself.

It's best to camp on the left or right corner of the room near the balcony
where the enemies are respawning, and facing the opposite side of the room, so
you can see the entire balcony. This makes it easy to see where the enemies
come from, and then simply run to them and knife them.

The first wave will consist of Assault Infantry, and the next waves will
consist of both Assault Infantry and Shock Troopers. The Shock Troopers are the
most dangerous, and you're up close and personal, and that's their comfort zone
as they have an StA11 SMG and a knife. Kill these guys whilst they're running
or shooting at Rico.

Speaking of Rico, keep him alive at all times so the enemy has a distraction
that will make it easier for you to knife them. Revive him as soon as possible.
If you're being attacked, then focus on killing enemies until you hear doors
opening, as this is when the next wave of enemies will spawn. Revive Rico at
this point and go back to where you were.

If you miss an enemy, and he runs towards the pillar in the centre, then go for
him, but don't count on surviving unless you know what you're doing here. You
have to knife all the enemies in front of you, as well as any enemies that jump
over the railings during this time. Use the pillar as cover, and make sure Rico
is alive so he can distract the enemy whilst you knife them.

Eventually, after a few waves of enemies, Radec will say something like "Burn
them alive" or "make their flesh boil!" This is when the Pyro Troopers will
spawn at the other end of the room, so run down there. There may be two Shock
Troopers here already, so knife them before knifing the Pyro Troopers. Remember
that the Pyro Troopers take quite a few slashes to kill, so do a thorough job.

Soon after that, Radec will say "bring the chandeliers down upon them!" Run
back to the balcony where you were camping earlier to avoid being hit by the
chandeliers. If any one of them lands on you, you're a goner. Make your way to
the gate near one of the stairways that leads to the balcony.

[ ] Take position on the 2nd floor Balcony

[CP] That's right! A checkpoint! We're getting somewhere! Keep your knife in
your hand and knife the enemy in the staircase before going up to the balcony.
Go to the end of the balcony opposite the one where Radec is and where his
support waves were jumping over the railing, and knife the two Pyro Troopers.

[X] Take position on the 2nd floor Balcony

Stay on the balcony, as going downstairs is suicide. This is probably the
hardest checkpoint to clear in this segment, and once you're past it, the rest
isn't too difficult. Another wave of Helghast troops will enter. They will
stick to the ground, so kill them off with your StA3 LMG. Radec will also try
to shoot at you from far away, so use cover that prevents him and the enemies
below from hitting you, such as the support pillars on each side of the
balcony, on the end where you found the two Pyro Troopers.

Once they're all dead, another wave of enemies will spawn. If you can, run
around the balcony and throw a grenade or two at the wave whilst they're
jumping over the railing. You may be able to hit a few, but you certainly won't
get all of them.

Go to one of the staircases and go down a bit, but not to the ground. You can
shoot a few enemies few here. If no one comes, then rush to the other
staircase, and enemies are most likely taking that staircase up to the balcony
and running to you. Shoot any enemies you encounter. You don't need to aim much
as you're on a narrow balcony and there isn't anywhere to go as far as left or
right goes. They can go towards you or away from you. Knife anyone who gets too
close.

Eventually, another wave will spawn. This time, you'll be dealing with Shock
Troopers, and these guys are best dealt with from afar, but they'll come up the
stairs regardless. Take these guys down quickly - again, spraying your StA3
everywhere should do the trick if one surprises you and you don't have a chance
to aim. Try to avoid letting them get to close or they'll wipe the floor with
you.

After you've dealt with that wave, the last wave for this checkpoint spawns.
This time, you're dealing with a crapton of Support Troopers stationed at the
balcony, where Radec is, as well as one or two Assault Infantry. You need to
rush to a gun rack, grab an M327 Grenade Launcher, and run to the left
staircase (left if you're facing the balcony where Radec is) and take cover
behind the stack of junk near the railing.

Rockets can't hit you here. Try to take care of the Assault Infantry first (if
you can't, Rico may do it for you), but stick to finding Support Troopers and
firing grenades at them. Move if rockets are going to hit something near you,
or worse, you. Don't stray too far from this position. Continue firing grenades
at Support Troopers.

Once they're dead, try and find the Assault Infantry if you haven't seen a
cutscene yet, and kill them (feel free to use the grenade launcher, but try and
stay on the balcony). Once they're dead, you'll see a cutscene of an Intruder
crashing through the window. This will move the junk blocking the back of the
balcony from the right staircase.

[CP] Halfway there. More Support Troopers will have arrived during the
cutscene, so there will be more rocket fire. Quickly run around the balcony to
the right staircase and collect more grenade launcher grenades, as well as
normal grenades on the way there. Draw your knife and run to the back of the
balcony via the newly cleared path, knifing the Support Troopers you'll find
here.

Be careful, as Radec is still teleporting around this area. He may or may not
stay here, and up this close, his StA3 LMG is even deadlier. Use the grenade
launcher and normal grenades to kill enemies on the ground, but make your way
back to the gun rack to puck up your StA3 LMG as you do this. Get back there
before you kill everybody, but don't use the StA3 LMG to kill any enemies, just
go to its location. Kill the enemies with your remaining grenade launcher
grenades and normal grenades.

[X] Fight off Radec's support waves
[ ] Kill Radec

[CP] After the cutscene, it's a one on one battle with Radec. Pick up your StA3
LMG, draw your knife and go to the big pillar in the middle of the sanctum,
circling it and listening for Radec's teleportation noise. He'll teleport once
or twice, then actually run at you with his knife or shoot at you. When he does
this, knife him as many times as possible.

You may be knifed by Radec a few times. This is difficult to avoid with you
going up to knife him, but you need to conserve your ammo for later. Back away
a bit when slashing at him, and keep slashing until he reteleports. He'll
teleport faster and faster, and he'll also begin to shoot at you. This is when
you need to shoot back. Knife him if you can get close (if he's distracted, for
example) but otherwise stay back, as his StA3 LMG will tear you to pieces.

If you run out of ammo, pick up a different gun the next time Radec takes
cover, preferably a weapon that you can pick up without him seeing, and one
with some ammo. The StA52 Assault Rifle is the best choice considering the
circumstances. Radec may also teleport to the side of the balcony. If he does,
simply shoot him as you normally would and he'll reteleport again/

Continue to shoot and slash Radec, as he teleports faster and faster, staying
at the pillar until he teleports to the back of the balcony, where he was
before. Rush to a staircase and use it and the walls around it as cover whilst
you pop out and shoot Radec when he's concentrating on Rico and not shooting at
you. It's best to take cover when he's shooting at you. He'll take a lot of
bullets, and if you fun out of ammo, then either pick more up or go to the gun
rack and get a VC32 Sniper Rifle to finish Radec off.

[X] Secure the Palace
[X] Kill Radec

Eventually, having taken immense damage, you'll see a cutscene. How a soldier
can take THAT many slashes to the throat and THAT many bullets and still
teleport like some sort of ninja eludes me. Regardless, go through the hallway
and up the stairs to see the final cutscene.

If that doesn't work for you, Christopher Brown has sent in an alternate
strategy, one that may be a bit easier than the one I've written:

"Once it's time to fight Radec, sprint down from the balcony, find the closest
flamethrower, then run around and collect all the ammunition you can (without
pausing of course). You can then light Radec on fire, which seems to disable
his teleportation device and his invisibility still works but you can just keep
a lookout for the ball of flames running around and screaming. Radec will not
approach you if you have the flamethrower out so you have to have your pistol
out and then switch once you see him. If you unload all the flamethrower ammo
on him, all you have to do is run around and wait. He stays on fire until he
dies."

Here's another strategy from Ian Williams:

"Pick up a shotgun and lots of ammo for it, and go into the downstairs entrance
bit where you came in, where there are two alcolves separated by a wall, with a
pillar in front of it and guns on either side wall. Then stand in one corner of
one of the alcoves. Radec will usually teleport and appear just around the left
corner or just around the right corner. When he does, move out of sight of him
to make him run round the corner at you, then shoot him point blank with the
shotgun.

If you stick with this strategy then you should eventually kill him. However,
when he's nearly dead, he may teleport to the far balcony and stay there. If he
does, just pick up a sniper rifle and finish him off. Also, it's worth noting
that if your partner becomes out of action then that can be a good thing,
because Radec will then just keep coming after you, so just leave him."

Congratulations, soldier. You have completed the campaign on Elite difficulty!

5: Intel Locations
\------------------/

The locations of all 20 pieces of intel are listed here. It's best to find them
on Recruit difficulty as this makes it a lot easier to go through missions and
kill enemies on your way to finding the pieces of intel.

+------------------+
5.1: Corinth River
+------------------+

Intel 1 Verdran Overlook East

As soon as you enter Verdran Overlook East, you'll get a message saying that
there's intel scattered in every level, and that it unlocks content on
killzone.com (I have no idea what this content is). The intel is on the floor
just after you turn left after this message comes up.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 2 Verdran Overlook West

After using the RPG to shoot a hole in the wall of a building, walk in to and
through that building until you reach a flight of metal stairs. The intel is
lying on the flor underneath the flight of stairs.

+-------------------+
5.2: Blood Meridian
+-------------------+

Intel 3 Landing Zone 33

After you blow the D-Charge you put on the door, walk through it and turn
right. You'll be in a narrow corridor. There will be a ramp in front of you,
and in the small space to the right of the ramp, right near it, is a pile of
trash with the intel laying on the ground.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 4 Verudan Alley

After you've walked up the last ramp and killed all the enemies, enter the
building here. You'll turn left, then walk forwards for a bit, and then there
will be a right turn. Instead, turn to your left to see the intel lying on the
ground.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 5 Cableway Heights

After you've killed all the enemies in this area, continue to follow Garza
until you enter a small room with a small flight of stairs in it. This is just
before this segment ends and you enter the Cableway Rooftops area. The intel is
on the ground next to the stairs.

+------------------+
5.3: Visari Square
+------------------+

Intel 6 Malik Back Alleys

When you fall through the hole in the floor and the Malik Back Alleys segment
begins, the intel is lying on the ground in the room you just fell in to,
behind a desk that's on it's side.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 7 Union Storage Yard

After Garza opens the door for you, you'll go through quite a few rooms. One of
these rooms is a kitchen, filled with dishes and bottles. The intel is in one
of the corners of this room on the ground, unobscured.

+---------------------+
5.4: Salamun District
+---------------------+

Intel 8 Dushan Tower Courtyard

On the first story of the courtyard, you'll come across a room with about 4
soldiers inside. Kill them all with a grenade, then walk in and the wall in
front of you will explode. Another soldier will walk in - kill him, and then
get the intel that's on the counter in the room that the 4 Helghast were in
initially.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 9 Dushan Loading Bay

Climb the stairs to get to the second story of the loading bay, then push the
door open. Go outside and turn left. Run straight in to the small room with the
automatic door. The intel is on the ground in this small room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 10 Substation Strongpoint

As soon as you've blow the D-Charge to get in to the substation, run in.
There's a set of stairs on the other side of the room, and near those stairs
there is a counter with the intel sitting on top of it.

+-------------------+
5.5: Salamun Bridge
+-------------------+

Intel 11 Radec Academy

When you go inside Radec Academy, keep going straight and you'll go up a small
set of stairs. Turn to the right, walk straight and then turn right when you've
walked past the stairs that you just went up. Walk straight ahead and look at
the pillars on your right - the intel is lying next to one of them, on the
ground.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 12 Radec Academy

When you get to Radec's office, go up to his desk to find the intel sitting on
it.

+--------------------+
5.6: Suljeva Village
+--------------------+

Intel 13 Badlands

As soon as you've crossed the very first bridge, turn left and walk along the
edge of the cliff. Keep walking along the edge of the cliff until you reach a
metal structure. The intel is sitting on the ground near the top of the
structure (walk up to the structure and look to your left to find it on the
ground).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 14 Suljeva North

When you reach the building where the ISA scout team has been left to rot, the
intel is on the ground near the pipes you walk past when you first enter the
room.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 15 Waystation 14

When you reach the station platform, you'll be in a room with an elevated
walkway around it. Go on to the walkway, then turn left and follow the walkway
until you reach the bottom of the metal staircase. There will be a freight
container to your left - walk around to the other side of it to find the intel
lying on the ground.

+---------------------+
5.7: Tharsis Refinery
+---------------------+

Intel 16 Processing Complex

You'll pass through several control rooms after you are dropped out of the
giant bucket - the intel is in the second room you'll pass through after you've
been dropped out of the bucket, on a counter (the first room with enemies
inside).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 17 Transportation Deck

In the middle of the same room where you meet up with Rico (where he shows you
the Helghast map), there are 2 small metal counters. The intel is sitting on
the one closest to where you'll exit the room.

+----------------+
5.8: The Cruiser
+----------------+

Intel 18 Emergency Stairwell C

When you're in this part of The Cruiser, Rico is going to ask where you are,
and he'll tell you that he's right below you. Go up the stairs here and turn
around. Kill any Helghast that get in your way, then walk straight along this
walkway until you find the intel sitting on the ground near the wall.

+------------------+
5.9: Visari Palace
+------------------+

Intel 19 Outer Defenses

This may sound unusual, but after you've completed the Outer Defenses segment
in Visari Palace in the campaign, start up a Skirmish or Warzone game on Visari
Hammer (you'll have to have at least 1 Recruit level enemy bot in a Skirmish
match). This multiplayer level has an identical layout to the Outer Defenses
segment in the campaign, but with a few changes. Pick ISA as your faction. Run
outside in to the open area in the ISA spawn - you're in the same area as you
were in Lazar Highway.

Go up the stairs and in to the building just like you do in the campaign
mission. Go up the stairs, turn around, go down the hallway and turn to the
right when you reach the end of that hallway. There is a set of stairs that
leads up to the level above the level you're currently on - this same set of
stairs is on your side, but we want to focus on the Helghast side.

In the campaign mission, there is a wire fence blocking these stairs off. What
you want to is go to the aforementioned upper level, and then go down the
set of stairs the stairs that are blocked off at the bottom (the set of stairs
on the Helghast side in multiplayer). The intel is sitting on top of a box
that's sitting on the ground in the blocked off area you reached by going down
the stairs.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Intel 20 Inner Courtyard

Whilst making your way through the inner courtyard, you'll eventually come
across 2 emplaced turrets stationed in 2 separate, small rooms - one on the
left and one on the right. Go in to the left room. The intel is sitting on the
counter in the back left hand corner.

6: Helghast Symbol Locations
\----------------------------/

+------------------+
6.1: Corinth River

When you are turning the red valve to open the flood gate, look at the big,
white wall on the building you can see in front of you. The symbol is hanging
quite high on this wall

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 2 Verdran Overlook East

After you've helped clear out the Helghast troopers with RPGs attacking the ISA
convoy below, Garza will open a door for you. Go through it and continue down
the stairs until you get a message telling you that if you destroy all the
Helghast Symbols you'll get the Iconoclast trophy. The symbol is right in front
of you when you only have one part of the stairs left to go down before you
reach flat ground.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 3 Storm Drain 11-34C

You'll encounter a few enemies in the storm drain. After they're dead, follow
Garza out of the storm drain - you'll make a left turn past a wire fence. The
symbol is behind the wire fence.

+-------------------+
6.2: Blood Meridian
+-------------------+

Helghast Symbol 4 Landing Zone 33

As soon as you land, look to your left to see a destroy tank that's still
burning. You'll see a door that's the entrance to a building next to the tank -
go up to the door, face it, and look to your left. The symbol should be in
front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 5 Dakurol Alley

When you start attacking the enemies in Dakurol Alley, a Helghast soldier will
jump over a wall to the left of where you're facing when Garza says "Shh,
Higs". Facing this wall, the symbol is hanging high on the wall behind it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 6 Wollan's View

After you've killed the Heavy, open the door with the valve, run down the
canal, turn right and go up the stairs. You'll see fellow ISA troops shooting
at the enemy in a building. Run in to this building and run straight until you
see a gun rack. There's a set of stairs here - go up them, and when you reach
the top, turn around 180 degrees to see the symbol hanging on the wall. If you
can't see it, move so the pillar isn't blocking your view.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 7 Verudan Alley

After running up the last ramp and killing all the enemies on it, face the same
direction you were when you reached the top of the last ramp. Walk to the back
wall that's in front of you, then turn to your right. You should see a wire
fence. The symbol is hanging behind the fence.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 8 Cableway Heights

After you've met up with 6th Division and gone down the stairs, walk straight
ahead until you're near a red barrel that's next to a dumpster. Turn right and
go in to the hallway, then turn left when you need to and walk outside on to
the metal walkway. Look up and a little to the left to see the symbol hanging
high up on the wall of the building that's in front of you.

+------------------+
6.3: Visari Square
+------------------+

Helghast Symbol 9 Prefect's Office

As soon as you start the level, you'll be in a small room. Walk out on to the
metal bridge, and then look to your left. You should see a building with a
large, painted Helghast symbol on it. The symbol that you want to shoot is on
that same wall, but further down.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 10 Prefect's Office

On the upper floor of the Prefect's office (the building you enter in this
segment) there is a room with some black doors. 2 of these doors are not closed
properly, and one of those doors is right near a school bell that's placed in
to the top right of the door. The symbol is inside the extremely small room
behind the half opened door.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 11 Malik Back Alleys

After you go up the stairs and kill the enemy, you'll see a locked doorway with
a lock whose wire has been broker and electricity is coming out of it. Face the
door, then turn left and look up to see the symbol hanging very high on a wall
that's opposite you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 12 Ostoja End

When you first start Ostoja End, you'll be in a small room. Step outside and
immediately turn left and go up the stairs. Do a 180 degree turn and you'll see
the symbol hanging on the wall in front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 13 Union Storage Yard

Near where Rico and Natko are first standing when you arrive in the Union
Storage Yard, there is a ladder. Face this ladder, then look up at the wall
next to it. The symbol is on the wall next to the ladder, up very high.

6.4: Salamun District
+---------------------+

Helghast Symbol 14 Canal Bank

After you've killed the 2 Helghast who were talking when you arrived, look just
below the metal walkway on which they were standing to find the symbol on a
wall just below that walkway.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 15 Dushan Loading Bay

Climb the stairs to get to the second story of the loading bay, then push the
door open. Go outside and turn left. Run straight in to the small room with the
automatic door. Leave the room via the other automatic door, run straight to
the
wall and turn right, The symbol is above the doorway that's opposite you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you first arrive in the Corinth Shanties, run straight, all the way to the
water, then turn right and look up. The symbol is hanging very high on the wall
in front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 17 Substation Strongpoint

As soon as you have finished climbing the second ladder and have arrived in the
Substation Strongpoint, turn to your left and look up, all the way to the roof.
The symbol is on the wall in front of you, just below the roof.

+-------------------+
6.5: Salamun Bridge
+-------------------+

Helghast Symbol 18 Bridge West

When you have arrived outside Radec Academy, look up above the entry door to
find the symbol hanging very high above it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 19 Radec Academy

As soon as you walk through the doors and enter Radec Academy, walk in to the
middle of this room, do a 180 degree turn and look up really high. The symbol
is hanging extremely high on the wall above the door you just went through,

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 20 Radec Academy

After you've killed all the enemies in the academy courtyard, Alpha Squad will
go to the door that leads to Radec's office as a team. Go to this door, but
look above it to see the symbol hanging above the door.

+--------------------+
6.6: Suljeva Village
+--------------------+

Helghast Symbol 21 Badlands

When you first start Suljeva Village, you'll be looking at a bridge. Facing in
that same direction, walk past the left side of the bridge, but in the same
direction as if you were crossing it - you'll drop down to a lower area. Turn
to the right to see the symbol hanging on a round item.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 22 Suljeva North

to enter the Maintenance Office, turn left when you reach the gun rack, and
then
right to be on a sloped metal walkway. The symbol is hanging on a metal wall
above the part where the sloped walkways ends and a level walkway begins.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 24 Vojislav Mining Facility

After you've made your way past all the snipers and killed all the miners
outside the facility building itself, go up the ramp and look to your left to
be facing the inside of the building. There is a small, enclosed space in front
of you inside the building - go in to it and turn to your left to see the
symbol hanging in front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 25 Waystation 14

Then you reach the upper walkway, you'll find a T-intersection - one path leads
to a dead end, the other leads further in to the waystation. Go down the path
that isn't a dead end and turn left and right when you can't run forwards
anymore. You'll see a box on top of another box on the left side of the walkway
- stop here and look to your left to see the symbol hanging on the large
support pillar closest to the walkway.

+---------------------+
6.7: Tharsis Refinery

After you're dropped out of the giant bucket, shoot the blue electricity switch
on the corner of the metal exterior wall of the control rooms next to the
platform you've just landed on. Go up the walkway, past where the electricity
field was and turn left. The symbol is hanging on the wall in front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 28 Central Observatory

In the middle of the observatory floor, you'll notice a big, rectangular gap.
This is where the elevator lands. Face this gap, do a 180 degree turn and look
up to find the symbol hanging very high up from the ground on a wall.

+------------------+
6.8: Visari Palace
+------------------+

Helghast Symbol 29 Lazar Highway

When your path is blocked by the tank and you have to go down the long flight
of
metal stair, keep running straight after you've reached the bottom of the
stairs until you reach the metal guard rail. Turn to your left - there is a big
building in the distance. The symbol is hanging very high up on the right side
of the building (it may be hard to see on in standard definition or on a small
TV as the building is quite far away).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 30 Outer Defenses

Go up these
stairs, and there should be a guard tower in front of you.

In the campaign mission, go to the exact same location (you'll have to use a
completely different set of stairs, keep pressing Up on the D-Pad if you need
directions). Go in to the tower itself, killing any enemies you encounter along
the way. Once all hostiles are eliminated, make your way in to the tower and
face out towards the big building in the middle of the map. The symbol is high
up on the wall in front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 31 Inner Courtyard

After the Arc Battery has been blown to pieces and you exit the elevator,
continue across the metal walkway until you reach a room. When you reach the
room, turn to the left to find the symbol hanging on the wall in front of you.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Helghast Symbol 32 Inner Courtyard

When you reach the end of the courtyard, go up to the black doors, but don't go
through them. Instead, turn left and walk up the stairs you see in front of
you. Once you're up the stairs, turn to your right. The symbol is hanging on
the back of the pillar after the one next to the stairs.

7: Warzone (Online Multiplayer)
\-------------------------------/

Warzone is the Online Multiplayer component of Killzone 2. Warzone facilitates
32 player team based warfare on 8 different maps, with clan support. However,
there's no party system (whatever that is). These games are quite customisable.
in regards to what games you play, how long they go for, and restrictions on
weapons and badges available to players.

Completing tasks and killing enemy players gives you points, and if you do a
task enough times in 1 game or kill enough players in a certain way in 1 game,
you'll get a ribbon. Get 8 ribbons of the same kind to earn the corresponding
medal.

Skirmish is the offline equivalent, with up to 15 bots and you playing at a
time. You can not change the game settings for Skirmish matches (what games to
play, how long they go for, weapons/badge restrictions, etc). All Skirmish
matches are unranked, so you can't earn any points, ribbons and therefore
medals in Skirmish mode.

As of the 1.27 patch, all the badges are unlocked in Skirmish, regardless of
your Warzone Rank, but unless you've earned them yourself, no extra medals or
abilities are unlocked.

Just a quick word on how to make Warzone FUN (which it's supposed to be). Focus
on the objectives rather than simply racking up kills all the time. Defend when
you need to defend, revive when you need to revive (not when the person being
revived is surrounded by enemies) and help your teammates whenever possible
(remember, every game in Warzone is team based).

+----------+
7.1: Games
+----------+

There are 5 different games in Warzone (7 if you want to get technical, which I
certainly do) and the settings for these games, and whether they're played or
not, can be set when creating a game.

BODYCOUNT

The Warzone equivalent of Team Deathmatch, Bodycount pits the ISA and the
Helghast against each other in a blood bath where the only objective is to kill
enemy players. The strategies and weapons you'll use to do so depend on what
map you're on. Go solo, or help teammates out - as long as you'll killing your
enemies it doesn't matter.

ASSASSINATION (KILL THE TARGET)

Your team's objective is to kill the target who's on the other team within a
specified amount of time (this amount of time is lower than the mission time).
The target's location is marked on the radar with a red pentagon. Rushing to
their hiding spot 1 by 1 isn't usually smart unless the target is alone -
you'll want to go in as a group, from as many angles as possible to confuse the
enemy.

You may want to create a diversion to... divert enemy attention elsewhere
whilst you seek out the target. When you do kill the target, kill him
completely - a mortally wounded target can still win, so pump the target full
of lead after he falls over to give him no chance of recovery.

ASSASSINATION (PROTECT THE TARGET/YOU'RE THE TARGET)

Your objective is to protect the target who's on your team from enemy attack
for a specified amount of time, and you may be the target yourself. Get the
target to a location where there are limited options for entry, which should
all be covered by teammates, near your team's spawn to let teammates come to
protect you quicker. Kill enemies sooner rather than later, but don't leave
your post unless you absolutely have to. If you're flanked, escort the target
to a safer location immediately.

SEARCH AND RETRIEVE

Your objective is to pick up the propaganda speaker, marked on the radar with a
white pentagon (red if the enemy has it, green if your team has it), and return
it to your team's designated collection point... thing. On most maps, this
point is a little further in to your enemy's native area than you'd like it (or
you) to be.

Using Boost here is key. Used with the Assault Badge (which is what most people
use it with) you'll be almost unstoppable. Simply pick the target up and boost
towards your collection point. Beware, though, that enemies will probably be
smart enough to defend this point, but hopefully you'll get there either before
they show up or when you're team's distracting them by killing them all.

When the enemy is taking the propaganda speaker to their collection point, rush
to the collection point before they get there and shoot them in the head to
kill them instantly, regardless of which badge they're using. If you don't have
1337 aiming skillz, then just shoot at their body and hope for the best. Once
the target is down, rush the propaganda speaker over to your collection point
before the enemy returns to the site of their dead pal to pick it up.

CAPTURE AND HOLD

Your objective is to capture as many of the 3 areas on the map and hold them
for as long as possible. Holding these point fills a green bar in the top right
hand corner of the screen (when the enemy holds these points the red bar in the
top right hand corner of the screen fills up). Whichever team's bar fills up
first wins.

When both ISA and Helghast players are in an area, the area will slowly be
taken from whoever had it in the first place and return to a neutral status.
Areas can only be taken when only your team is in the area. More teammates in
the area means a quicker capture.

On most maps, there's an area on the ISA side, an area on the Helghast side,
and an area in the middle somewhere. Take the area on your team's side first,
then go for the middle one. If you want to, go for the third area in the enemy
side, but you'd be better off defending the other 2 as if you have 2 and they
have 1, victory is assured for you until the enemy takes one of your areas.

SEARCH AND DESTROY (DESTROY THE TARGETS)

Your objective is to destroy the 2 targets. The enemy are sure to be defending
these targets, and will probably place spawn points in each 1 (maybe 1 if
they're both in the same room). You should do the same - place spawn points at
each target (still use both if the targets are in the same room, put the other
one in a strategic location).

There will be constant battles going on in the areas where the targets are, and
the hardest part is actually planting the bombs. After that, just defend the
area with all your might and don't let the enemy defuse your bombs. There is
always a certain amount of time between when both the bombs are planted and
when they will explode (usually 30 seconds). Don't give your enemy any chances
Camp the targets and then flee 5 seconds before they explode, by then the enemy
has no chance of winning.

SEARCH AND DESTROY (DEFEND THE TARGETS)

Your objective is to keep the targets intact. Rush to the targets right away
and place the applicable amount of spawn points in the correct places. The
enemy will be applying constant pressure so don't let up. Defend key entrance
points - use turrets to defend these entrance points. Get Scouts to snipe
intruders upon their arrival.

If bombs are planted, have everyone go to ONE of the targets and attempt to
defuse it. Once one is defused, take your time trying to defuse the other one.
Don't stop defending the target where the first bomb was defused, as the enemy
will run right back in and replant it.

required to reach each rank:

NOTE: The weapon unlocks listed can only be used with the standard (badgeless)
soldier and any badges where those weapons are available.

NOTE: New rank logos are so NOT rewards. Yeesh.

+-----------+
7.3: Badges
+-----------+

There are 6 Badges available for use in Killzone 2. See the above table if you
want to know at what rank they are each unlocked.

NOTE: If you do not select a badge to use, you will be a standard soldier, and
you are able to use each of the weapons mentioned in the above table.

MEDIC

Weapons: M82 Assault Rifle
         StA52 Assault Rifle

Primary Ability: Revive Teammates
Secondary Ability: Disperse Health Packs

The Medic is, obviously, all about keeping your team in good shape and keeping
them alive. You can revive mortally wounded teammates, but don't do so if your
mortally wounded teammate is surrounded by enemies, otherwise you're just
giving them a free kill.

When you unlock it, your second ability allows you to drop health packs all
over the map. You can either put these in places where your team will walk over
them to restore their health, or throw them in front yourself and run over them
to heal yourself.

ENGINEER

Weapons: LS13 Shotgun

Primary Ability: Spawn Turrets (up to 4 per team)
Secondary Ability: Repair Objects

As the Engineer, you have the ability to spawn turrets. Spawn these where
enemies will be close to them, as they have quite a short range. Put them in
extremely high or low places to score some easy headshots. Running in to these
turrets depletes your health, so don't do that. on the other hand, spawn them
in tight corridors to take advantage of this.

When you unlock it, your secondary ability allows you to repair ammo boxes and
mounted StA3 LMGs scattered around the map for your team to use. These items
can be destroyed, but they can also be re-repaired. These items have an
infinite amount of ammo and uses to them, so go nuts with them.

TACTICIAN

Weapons: M82 Assault Rifle
         StA52 Assault Rifle

Primary Ability: Deploy Spawn Points (up to 2 per team)
Secondary Ability: Call in Air Support (up to 2 per team)

As the Tactician, your primary ability (and the one that's used most by
Tacticians, no doubt) is the ability to deploy spawn points anywhere on the
map. Your spawn points can change the tide of the game, and piss a ton of
enemies off. Use 'em wisely though, you've only got 2 for your entire team to
use. As your title suggests, place these things in a TACTICAL position - there
is no spawn protection, so as soon as you or your teammates spawn they're
vulnerable to enemy attack.

Remember that when players spawn on a spawn point, will face the opposite
direction to where the spawn point was thrown towards. So, if you throw a spawn
point towards the enemy base, your teammates will spawn facing away from the
enemy base. Not good.

When you unlock it, your secondary ability allows you to call in air support.
This will call in a flying robotic drone that will shoot at enemies and
eventually leave (if it isn't destroyed). These things, as of the 1.27 patch,
are beastly and can cut through players fast, so place them in open areas where
the enemy is found.

ASSAULT

Weapons: M327 Grenade Launcher
         M80 Rocket Launcher
         VC9 Rocket Launcher

Primary Ability: Armour (150% health)
Secondary Ability: Boost

The most ill thought out class EVER! "Hmmm, you know how tanks can deal out
massive damage and take a whole heap of hits before being destroyed, but
they're slow? Let's make a badge like that, but give the user the ability to
run twice as fast as anyone else!"

Dumb. Anyway, your primary ability, or perk rather (as you can't exactly
"activate" it), is that you have armour that allows you to take one and a half
times as much damage as anyone else. Headshots will still kill you immediately.

Your secondary ability, which is unlocked as soon as you unlock the Assault
Badge (unlike every other secondary ability, which have to be earned) is the
boost ability. This allows you to run twice as fast as everyone else for about
as long as you can sprint for before your stamina runs out. That's some serious
BS.

NOTE: Anyone who RELIES on having more health as everyone else and having
rocket/grenade launchers to get kills or points is a noob and should learn to
play properly. Using the Assault class is fine, using it all the time isn't.

SABOTEUR

Weapons: StA11 SMG
         StA14 Rifle

Primary Ability: Disguise self as member of opposing team
Secondary Ability: Deploy C4 (up to 3 per team)

Saboteurs are sneaky, cunning little bastards who's primary ability is to
disguise themselves as members of the opposing team. You are NOT undetectable,
however - if someone aims at you from close range, they'll see a red crosshair,
which indicates that you are an enemy. You'll also not have lights on your
uniform, unlike everyone else, which also gives you away.

When you unlock it, your secondary ability allows you to deploy C4, which
explodes when an enemy gets close enough. The explosives can be planted on
walls as well as the ground, making it great for booby trapping objectives and
enemy destinations.

NOTE: Just as with the Assault class, those who RELY on looking like the enemy
just to get kills are noobs. The class has its uses, but using this class all
the time is a clear sign of noobish tactics.

SCOUT

Weapons: VC32 Sniper Rifle

Primary Ability: Cloak (become invisible)
Secondary Ability: Spot and Mark

You'll want to be a Scout if you like to snipe. It's the only class where the
VC32 Sniper Rifle is available, and your primary ability makes you next to
invisible when still. The more you move, the more visible you are. You can
still be spotted and marked.

When you unlock it, your secondary ability spots and marks every enemy player
(including turrets and air support) in your field of view with a big blue
crosshair. All that's left to do is shoot them.

+-----------------------+
7.4: Ribbons and Medals
+-----------------------+

There are 23 medals to unlock in Killzone 2, and each one will take 8 ribbons
of the corresponding kind to unlock. Do the math, and that's 184 ribbons to
earn. Several ribbons can be unlocked in 1 full game, but you can not unlock
the same ribbon twice in 1 full game by fulfilling its prerequisites twice.
When you unlock a medal, you unlock the perk listed next to it in the
corresponding table.

NOTE: The ribbon prerequisites listed in all the tables below must be completed
in 1 round (AKA from when you start playing until the winner is decided
      and the game restarts).

have the Boost ability in my secondary ability slot with the Engineer
      rather than the Repair ability.

7.5: Maps
+---------+

There are 14 maps in Killzone 2 (8 in the base game, 2 in the Steel and
Titanium Pack, 2 in the Flash and Thunder Pack and 2 in the Napalm and Cordite
Pack). They can be toggled as in the playlist or not in the playlist when
creating a game, although there is a limit of 8 maps to a playlist.

PHYRRUS RISE

Phyrrus Rise is a sniper's heaven - a big, open level with plenty of high
places to snipe from. Keep on the move at all times. Long range weapons such as
the VC32 Sniper Rifle and the StA14 Rifle do wonders here for snipers. If
you're going to stick to the lower ground, the M82 Assault Rifle is your best
weapon of choice.

HELGHAN INDUSTRIES

Helghan Industries is smaller than Phyrrus Rise, but there are still many
opportunities for a sniper to shine here. The middle of the map, especially the
area between the 2 buildings on both the ISA and Helghast side is a fierce
battleground you'll probably want to stay away from. Instead, use the bridge
connecting the 2 buildings to go to the enemy's side. The M82 Assault Rifle,
the VC32 Sniper Rifle, the StA14 Rifle and the StA11 SMG are good weapons to
use here.

SALAMUN MARKET

A map about the size of Helghan Industries, Salamun Market once again puts
teams in close quarters, medium range and long range combat situations. The
weapon you choose really depends on your style of play and the badges &
abilities that you'll be using.

VISARI HAMMER

It's not so much the size of the map that matters here - it's the locations of
all the buildings, and the different layers of the map that make Visari Hammer
another map where weapon choice is completely dependant on how you play the
game. Keep an eye open for enemies coming down or up stairs, and entering or
exiting buildings.

RADEC ACADEMY

The smallest map in the entire game, Radec Academy is where spawn campers
thrive. Remember that if your spawn is being camped, go out the back via the
ladder and through the underground tunnel to make it out alive, then take out
the campers from behind. The StA11 SMG, the M82 Assault Rifle and the LS13
Shotgun are the best weapons to use on this map. Combat is focused on the
spawns and in the courtyard area in the middle of the map.

THARSIS DEPOT

Another small map, Tharsis Depot is much like Radec Academy as it's small and
has 2 stories. The top story is rarely traversed, so go upstairs if you want to
go from one side of the map to the other and then surprise the enemy. There are
a lot of small rooms, so grenades will get you quite a few kills at once if
used correctly. The StA11 SMG, the M327 Grenade Launcher and the LS13 Shotgun
are the best weapons to use on this map.

BLOOD GRACHT

A small map that still caters to snipers, Blood Gracht is full of tunnels,
hallways and doorways, all of which are usually deathtraps. There are quite a
few useful sniping positions for snipers, but "run and gunners" will thrive
here. The VC32 Sniper Rifle, the LS13 Shotgun and the StA11 SMG are good
weapons for this map.

CORINTH CROSSING

Another map with both long range and close quarters combat, Corinth Crossing is
a perfectly symmetrical map, which makes it very easy to learn the layout.
However, with all the different stories, finding items will be a bit harder.
Fighting is spread evenly among the map, but the middle of the map, on the
ground and on the highest story, are the most contested areas. The VC32 Sniper
Rifle, the M82 Assault Rifle and the StA3 LMG are all good weapon choices.

VEKTA CRUISER (STEEL AND TITANIUM PACK)

This is another close quarters combat map, set in The Cruiser. This level
features multiple stories. The map is symmetrical, and the layout is simple,
yet tricky enough to keep you wondering how you just got killed. The LS13
Shotgun works wonders here, as do the StA11 SMG and the M82 Assault Rifle.

WASTELAND BULLET (STEEL AND TITANIUM PACK)

A level set on 2 trains cruising alongside each other, where players can jump
from one train to another. There are obstacles that may come in between the 2
trains, which may leave some train jumpers in a sticky mess. Going on the roof
of the train is also risky, as the roof of any tunnel you pass under may cause
mortal "owies" on your dome. The VC32 Sniper Rifle, the M82 Assault Rifle and
the StA14 Rifle are good weapon choices for this map.

BEACH HEAD (FLASH AND THUNDER PACK)

A remake of the map of the same name that was in the original Killzone, Beach
Head is a very hilly map filled with sandbags, ditches and small buildings and
walls. You're never safe, as you could be shot from anywhere at anytime due to
the open nature of the map, but player's sight will be obscured due to the
rain. The M82 Assault Rifle, the VC32 Sniper Rifle and the StA14 Rifle are good
weapons here.

SOUTHERN HILLS (FLASH AND THUNDER PACK)

A remake of the map of the same name that was in the original Killzone,
Southern Hills is a wasteland of pure delight. Set in a barren desert hill with
a multistorey wreck of a building at the peak, this makes for great long
distance combat on the edges of the map, but fierce close quarters combat in
the built up area. Every 5 minutes or so, an alarm will sound, and soon after
that a nuclear blast will wipe out any players not inside. The M82 Assault
Rifle, the LS13 Shotgun and the StA11 SMG are good weapons in this map.

SULJEVA CLIFFSIDE (NAPALM AND CORDITE PACK)

Essentially, a multiplayer version of the Vojislav Mining Facility segment from
Suljeva Village. Close quarters combat is the order of the day, so keep your
eyes out for enemies killing you from higher or lower ground, as well as from
the side and from behind. The LS13 Shotgun, the StA11 SMG and the M82 Assault
Rifle are good weapons for this map, as well as the VC1 Flamethrower which is
exclusive to this map and can be found on a station with flashing lights in the
middle of the barren path between the two sets of buildings. If you are hit by
the flames emitted by the actual flamethrower, you'll slowly lose all your
health and die.

ARCTOWER LANDING (NAPALM AND CORDITE PACK)

A maze of elevated walkways, platforms and corridors, Arctower Landing is just
confusing. But once you get the hang of the layout, you've got the upper hand,
as you'll know all the best places to shoot from without being seen or noticed.
The LS13 Shotgun, the StA14 Rifle and the M82 Assault Rifle are good weapons
for this map, but don't forget about the VC21 Boltgun found on a station with
flashing lights on the elevated walkway linking the ISA and Helghast Buildings.
One hit and you're a goner!

7.6: Valor Ranks
+----------------+

There are 4 Valor Ranks in Warzone, and they are reset and redistributed on a
weekly basis. After the week is over, unless you are re-awarded the same valor
rank or awarded a different one, you no longer have the valor rank, but retain
any valor rank trophies you may have earned. The valor ranks are handed out and
the weekly rankings are reset at around midnight GMT each Sunday. It may take a
few hours, or even a day for you to get your Valor Rank trophies after this
happens.

Brigadier General

This Valor Rank is handed out if you were in the top 10% of the weekly rankings
of the previous week. You will get a grey background on your rank. Earning this
Valor Rank or any of the higher valor ranks will also net you the Valor
Citation Trophy.

Lieutenant General

This Valor Rank is handed out if you were in the top 6% of the weekly rankings
of the previous week. You will get a black background on your rank. Earning
this Valor Rank or any of the higher valor ranks will also net you the Valor
Medal Trophy.

Major General

This Valor Rank is handed out if you were in the top 3% of the weekly rankings
of the previous week. You will get a purple background on your rank. Earning
this Valor Rank or the highest valor rank will also net you the Valor Cross
Trophy.

General of the Army

This Valor Rank is handed out if you were in the top 1% of the weekly rankings
of the previous week. You will get a red background on your rank. Earning this
Valor Rank will also net you the Valor Grand Cross Trophy.

Complete all missions on any difficulty level without dying

Complete all missions without dying to get this trophy. As with Heroic
Survivor, you can simply do each mission individually - you don't have to do
whole levels without dying. There is a 'least deaths' score for each individual
mission . If this score is 0, you've done the mission without dying. This is
obviously easiest on Recruit difficulty.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Babysitter - Revive 25 buddies Bronze

Revive your buddies a total of 25 times

Revive your buddies 25 times in the campaign to get this trophy. These revives
do not have to be consecutive or in the same level/mission.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Elementalslayer - Kill the ArcTrooper within 1 minute 30 seconds Bronze

Kill the Tharsis Refinery ArcTrooper in under 1 minute 30 seconds

Kill the ArcTrooper in Tharsis Refinery in under 1 minute and 30 seconds to get
this trophy. Simply shoot the big electric cargo containers moving above the
battlefield when they're above the ArcTrooper, then shoot the gas tanks on the
ArcTroopers back to destroy it. You may have to repeat this strategy 2 or 3
times. Easiest on recruit difficulty.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Giantslayer - Kill the Heavy within 1 minute Bronze

Kill the Blood Meridian Heavy in under 1 minute

Kill the Heavy in under 1 minute to get this trophy. Simply shoot the Heavy in
the head and it'll turn around, revealing red gas tanks. What do you do to red
gas tanks in shooting games? Shoot them! Repeat this as many times as needed
until the Heavy asplodes. Easiest on Recruit difficulty.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dragonslayer - Destroy the ATAC within 1 minute 30 seconds Bronze

Destroy the Salamun Bridge ATAC in under 1 minute 30 seconds

Kill the ATAC in under 1 minute and 30 seconds to get this trophy. Get the
rocket launcher and go down in to the tunnel just beneath the very top of the
roof. When the ATAC comes along, shoot the electric pillars near the edge of
the roof to trap the ATAC. Fire 2 rockets (that's all you'll be able to hit the
ATAC with before it's set free) at the ATAC whilst it's trapped.

Repeat until the ATAC falls to the ground below. Easiest on Recruit difficulty,
as only 3 rockets are required (no need to get more rockets as the RPG your
given has 3 rockets when you pick it up).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Demonslayer - Kill Radec within 20 minutes Bronze

Kill Radec at Visari Palace within 20 minutes

Kill Radec within 20 minutes of his entrance in to Autarch's Sanctum - that's
when the timer starts. The clock is still ticking if you respawn after dying,
so try and avoid dying altogether. Easiest on Recruit difficulty.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Safari Hunter - Kill each enemy infantry type with a melee attack Bronze

Kill one of each enemy infantry type with a melee attack

There are 14 infantry types in the campaign. Here's a picture of them:

             |M327 Grenade Launcher |Bridge East |
             +-------------------------+------------------------+

Unfortunately, you have no way of knowing which infantry types you've killed
with a melee attack - only the number of types you've killed with a melee
attack. Knife kills count as well.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Killing Spree - Kill 5 Helghast in 15 seconds Bronze

Kill 5 Helghast in 15 seconds whilst on foot and maintaining 85 percent health

This is easiest on Recruit difficulty. Go to the Landing Bay in The Cruiser,
and go up the elevator. Once you reach the top, you'll see a big explosion. A
lot of enemies are going to come out of here, go just cook a grenade, throw it
in and hopefully you'll get the kills you need.

Shoot any survivors, but remember to take cover as you can't take more than 15%
damage. It's hard to know how much damage you've taken, so just avoid damage
altogether if possible.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Bullet Counter - Manually reload 150 times Bronze

Manually reload your weapon 150 times

You'll probably get this on your way through the campaign without any trouble,
but if you're impatient, then simply shoot a bullet, reload, shoot a bullet,
reload, etc, until you have the trophy. The M82 Assault Rifle is a quick
reloader.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Safety First - Shoot off 100 helmets Bronze

Shoot off 100 Helghast helmets during battle

Simply aim for the he...lmet and fire - it should fall off. Do this 100 times.
End of story.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Berserker - Kill 25 Helghast with melee attacks Bronze

Kill 25 Helghast using melee attacks

Easiest on Recruit difficulty. Simply run up to enemies and bash them or knife
them (knife kills count as melee kills).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barrel of Death - Kill 3 Helghast using your environment Bronze

Kill 3 Helghast using the surrounding environment

Go to Tharsis Station in Tharsis Refinery. There are 3 enemies on the station
platform, and a piece of petrusite (glowing electric stuff) near them. Run up
to them to grab their attention, then as soon as they start to move shoot the
petrusite to blow them all to hell. Here's a video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E9ry038Ghbs

Thanks to PringlesForAidan for the strategy (he made the video, great stuff!)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Professional - 3 revolver headshots in a row Bronze

Get 3 revolver headshots in a row using the same clip of M4 Revolver ammunition

This is hard. You need to be extremely accurate, and to be still when getting
these headshots. Reload before you start your headshot chain, and don't reload
until you've either screwed up or got the 3 headshots in a row.

Being at close range helps, and use the sight if you want to be more accurate.
Aim for the head, NOT the helmet, and don't try and shoot moving targets. This
can be done in many different places, too many to mention here. Here's a video:

Fragmerchant - Kill 5 Helghast using a single grenade Bronze

Kill 5 Helghast using a single frag grenade

This is easiest on Recruit difficulty. Go to the Landing Bay in The Cruiser,
and go up the elevator. Once you reach the top, you'll see a big explosion. A
lot of enemies are going to come out of here, so just cook a grenade, throw it
in (or run in holding it) and hopefully you'll get the kills you need. You
don't have to survive the blast either. Here's a video:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fragmartyr - Kill 2 Helghast whilst taking your own life Bronze

Kill 2 Helghast at once and take your own life using a single frag grenade

This is easiest on Recruit difficulty. Go to the Landing Bay in The Cruiser,
and go up the elevator. Once you reach the top, you'll see a big explosion. A
lot of enemies are going to come out of here, so just cook a grenade, run in
holding it and there's almost no doubt you'll get the kills you need. Here's a
video:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Melonpopper - 15 headshots using the sniper rifle Bronze

Get 15 headshots using the VC32 Sniper Rifle

Go to Bridge West in Salamun Bridge, and pick up a VC32 Sniper Rifle from the
gun rack in the small room. Stay in this room, zoom in on a mounted gunner and
shoot them in the face. These guys will keep respawning over and over, so keep
shooting them in the face. Once you've decimated 15 faces, you'll get the
trophy. These kills do not have to be consecutive or on the same level or
mission.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Blade Runner - 75 kills with the knife Bronze

Kill 75 Helghast using the knife

Start off at Corinth Sands in Corinth River on Recruit difficulty, and knife
every Helghast bastard you see. Keep using solely your knife until you get the
trophy. Continue on to other levels if you must, just keep knifing, knifing,
knifing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stick Around - Nail 20 Helghast to the wall Bronze

Nail 20 Helghast to a wall using the Boltgun VC-21

Go to the Maintenance Office in Suljeva Village and pick up the VC-21 Boltgun
on the gun rack. From this point on, whenever you see a Helghast soldier near a
wall, stand so he is between you and the wall, and fire at his chest. He should
stick to the wall.

These do not have to be consecutive, but they must be in the same playthrough -
if you restart or finish the level without the trophy, you'll have to start
over again at 0.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Master Conductor -Electrocute 3 Helghast Bronze

Electrocute 3 Helghast with a single burst from the VC5 Electricity Gun

Go to anywhere in Tharsis Refinery where you'll spawn with or be able to find
the VC5 Electricity Gun. When you find a group of 3 or more Helghast (you will
in the Central Observatory, but if you start on that mission you won't spawn
with or be able to find the VC5 Electricity Gun), hold down the fire button
until they're all dead.

Just because they're on the ground doesn't mean they're dead - overkill until
you either get the trophy or the VC5 Electricity Gun needs to be recharged.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Run and Gunner - Kill 5 Helghast with 1 burst of assault rifle fire Bronze

Kill 3 Helghast using an M82 or StA52 assault rifle without releasing the
trigger

This is difficult, but not impossible. Again, this is easiest on Recruit
difficulty. Go to the Landing Bay in The Cruiser, and go up the elevator. Once
you reach the top, you'll see a big explosion. A lot of enemies are going to
come out of here, take cover near the fence opposite the newly made hole in the
wall the Helghast are spawning from, aim down the sights (to reduce recoil) and
fire away.

Headshots are crucial, so aim for the head for your first shot, but after that
you'll have little to no control as to where the bullets go. Here's a video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XolWqSs9xc

Thanks to PringlesForAidan for the strategy and the video.

Here;s another strategy from Fufinu:

"Simply start the game and sprint on landing at Corinth Sands. The first three
opponents on the wall can be easily shot down with one clip. Start off from the
one on the left first as he will be killed by your mates if left standing. No
headshots needed!"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Defensive Fighter - Kill 30 Helghast with an emplaced weapon Bronze

Kill 30 Helghast using the StA3 fixed gun emplacement

These emplacements are found in several places, including:

                 +-------------+--------------+-------------+
                 |Corinth River|Blood Meridian|Visari Square|
                 |Corinth Sands|Wollan's View |The Square |
                 +-------------+--------------+-------------+

There's usually a crapton of Helghast to kill when you're using these things,
so keep killing 'em until you get the trophy. These kills do not have to be
consecutive or on the same level/mission.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Can Opener - Destroy a Helghast APC Bronze

Destroy a Helghast APC during battle

You'll get this when you destroy the APC in Maelstra Barrens.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Spare Parts - Destroy all Leech Pods Bronze

Destroy all the Leech pods in The Cruiser

This trophy description isn't as clear as it should be; you only have to kill
all the Leech Pods in the first wave (this wave ends when some guy says
something like "I think they're backing off" over the intercom). Not many
people know that you have rockets at your disposal. Press L1 to use them. You
only have a limited number of them but for the purposes of this trophy, you can
just waste them all on the first wave. Recruit difficulty, as always.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Treadhead - Kill 30 Helghast whilst in the tank Bronze

Take 30 Helghast lives with the ISA tank

Go to the Korovis Dam in Corinth River. Once you're told to get in the tank, do
so and start killing as many Helghast as possible. If you don't get the trophy,
wait for the game to save and then start the mission up again. These kills do
not all have to be done in one mission attempt.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Mechspert - Stomp 10 Helghast Bronze

Stomp 10 Helghast with your Exoskeleton in Maelstra Barrens

Go to the Industrial Ghost Town in Maelstra Barrens on Recruit difficulty. If
you see any Helghast troops on the ground, run them over with your Exoskeleton.
These kills do not have to be consecutive.

Win 50 online matches

Quite self explanatory - be on the winning side 50 times in Warzone. These wins

Wasteland Medic Bronze

Revive 5 allies in Wasteland Bullet during 1 round

This trophy requires the Steel and Titanium Pack. Simply start up an online
Warzone with 15 bots at Recruit level, make the room a 16 player room so that
no one else can join, turn Friendly Fire on and start the game. Shoot teammates
until they are mortally wounded, revive them, wait for the revive gun to
recharge and repeat until you have revived allies 5 times. You do not have to
revive 5 different teammates.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Wasteland Engineer Bronze

This trophy requires the Steel and Titanium Pack. Simply start up an online
Warzone with 15 bots at Recruit level, make the room a 16 player room so that
no one else can join and start the game. Run around repairing items until

so if there are no more items to repair, destroy items that other teammates or
enemies have repaired and re-repair them.

Wasteland Tactician Bronze

5 allies spawn on your spawn grenade in Wasteland Bullet during 1 round

This trophy requires the Steel and Titanium Pack. This isn't that difficult -
in either a Skirmish or Warzone game, place a spawn point in a strategic
location. Your teammates will spawn there. Kill yourself repeatedly and spawn
on your own grenade if you want to get things done faster. I'm not sure if all
spawns have to be from only 1 of your spawn grenades or if it counts all spawns
from all of your spawn grenades.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

50 or more, turn faction balancing off, turn friendly fire on and put all the
bots on the same faction. Also, ban every class except Medic and every weapon
except the M4 Revolver. The bots won't use the M4 Revolver, so if you have it
you'll have the upper hand. If you haven't unlocked it yet, this will be a bit
harder.

You'll pick the faction that the bots aren't on, and be a Medic so you can heal
yourself with health packs if you've unlocked the ability. Get the flamethrower
by either finding it at the station with the flashing lights found in the
middle of the dirt path between the two sets of buildings, or killing the bot
who has it (regardless of whether or not they're on your faction), and then get
10 kills with it (you do not have to kill 10 different enemies).

Flamethrower Junkie Silver

Kill 20 enemies in 1 round using the flamethrower in Suljeva Cliffside

This trophy requires the Napalm and Cordite Pack. Simply start up an online
Warzone with 15 bots at Recruit level, make the room a 16 player room so that
no one else can join, have only a single, long Bodycount with maximum kills at
50 or more, turn faction balancing off, turn friendly fire on and put all the
bots on the same faction. Also, ban every class except Medic and every weapon

9: FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
\-----------------------------------/

Q: What are the Valor Ranks and how do they work?

A: This has been explained in the Multiplayer Section, but I'll summarise the
concept here. Valor Ranks are handed out every Sunday at 00:00 GMT, and are
awarded based on your weekly ranking percentage. The top 10% of players for
the week are awarded a Valor Rank - the higher you were in the weekly
rankings, the better the Valor Rank you will recieve for the week.

You will only have your Valor Rank for a week, unless you get a new one or
re-earn your current one in the next week, but you will keep any trophies
   earned regarding Valor Ranks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Will you help me get ribbons/medals/trophies?

A: No - I don't have the time or any incentive, seeing as I have them all.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: How do you get points in Warzone? (Yes, this has been asked before.)

A: By killing enemies, completing objectives (killing the Assassination target,
returning objectives in Search and Retrieve, etc), as well as using some
abilities (reviving mortally wounded teammates, etc). Basically, if it
benefits your faction, you should get points for doing it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Can I print part of/all of this guide?

A: Absolutely, for personal use.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Can I add you on PSN/MSN?

A: No. My Friends list is already full of people I never talk to in both cases.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Will you come and see my MySpace/Facebook page?

A: No - to put it simply, I find it a wast of my time.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Will you trade with me on PSN?

A: No - I don't trust anyone with anything.

E-MAIL:

Feel free to send me e-mail. Tips, suggestions, even hate mail, I'll read it.
Just make sure it's got Killzone 2 or KZ2 somewhere in the subject. Unless
there's good reason to, attachments will not be opened.

Regarding e-mails, here's a simple Positives and Negatives list:

+ Elementary Spelling/Grammar (I can't stress this enough - if I can't read or
understand your e-mail, I can't answer your question or put your tips in the
guide. If you have trouble with the English language, keep it simple.)

+ English (I don't speak any other languages fluently)

- No Username/Alias (if neither of these is found in your email, I'll use the
first part of your email address to credit you. This is only required if you
  have sent in a contribution.)

- Emails that are impossible to comprehend (compose your emails in READABLE and
UNDERSTANDABLE English. The amount of emails I get that are almost impossible
to read is astounding - you're only screwing yourself over, as I can't help
  you.)

My e-mail address is: ratchet_12345[at]hotmail[dot]com

Replace [at] with "@" and [dot] with "." (remove the quotation marks).

PLAYSTATION NETWORK:

My Friends list is FULL of people who I don't talk to or play with, so I have
removed my PSN from this guide to prevent randoms for adding me for no reason.

I will no longer help people with ANY multiplayer trophies - I went through
those ordeals already, ain't doin' it again. I do have War Hero (the Platinum
trophy for Killzone 2) so I know how to get each and every trophy, and can
give you tips and advice, but I do not have the time nor the patience to do
them again.

If you do need to get trophies with others, then go to the GameFAQs Killzone 2
message board and ask if anyone else wants to get the trophies with you.
