Rage oF PoiSedoN As, Fear Kratos it is important to note, that Kratos will Do Quadruple Damage. This is Great for speed purposes. The negative effect, is that he will ALSO take quadruple damage. - So basically vs bosses especially in many cases one shot you are dead. --- Poisedon Sea Horse --- Challange Rating : 2/5 1. This Creature has the head of a Horse, made completly of Water from Poisedon's sea. The only part that is not water is the most dangerous. It has some sort of crab like claws. Be wary lest you get God Smacked. 2. Ok Once the Horse Entrance is complete, be ready to attack. As Fear kratos using the Sqaure or Light attack button. Hit the Horse about 10-11 Times, and it will fall to phase 2. 3. Now we will be hanging upside down, grappling ontop Gaia. Move inward, but stay towards the Middle of the horse claws. Your doing this so you can be ready to dodge the claws. If you see the left one move, move right, and vice versa. After a claw swipe Home in with some light attacks, this part is still easy. 5-6 Hits will start PHASE 3. 4. For Phase 3 We will be on an Incline. This is the same as phase 2, except we are now Vertical. Immediatley, attack with light attacks, before the claws. 10-11 Hits will then Start phase 4. 5. NOW things are getting more difficult. Because if you Fail in any of these phases, you will have to start back at phase 1. Terrible if your speed running. - The Seahorse will also have many more attacks, in phase 4. Gotta love it ! - Early in Phase 4, actually right at the start, be on the look out for a 4 swipe claw attack. NOW, the trick here to dodging it is to roll back, but i like using the Torando magic spell here. It will make us invulnerable and damage one of the more difficult parts of the horse battle. So press R2, only two of these should take the horse down. Watch the video on my site, or on gamefaqs, if you are still confused. You can also just message me here as well. - After casting the magic spell on the horse, follow the prompts. Kratos will rip off the water jaw of the horse. This will End phase 4 of the sea horse battle, and you have reached a checkpoint. So Relax for a bit. Make your way through, deal with the easy, archers. And Save at the save point. 6. The Centaur Challange Rating 1/5 - This Centaur is actually really easy, you will deal with him as well as some undead spartan warriors. Take out the centaur first you can use magic here, because there will be an orb chest after this. Follow up with any attack, and then follow prompts to take out the centaur. For the Undead Spartans, use the grab with circle, and ram them into each other. Then there will be a check point after the puzzle of course. -- Poisedon's Sea Horse Part 2--- Challange Rating : 2/5 You Will start off at a prompt screen, jam the circle button. Then we will be doing battle a second time with the Seahorse. - This time the horse Will draw towards kratos. Moving Left and right and foward at all times. - It has 3 Moves :: Left Claw:: - Dodge Right :: Right Claw:: Dodge Left :: Foward Thrust:: Roll back - After the Foward Thrust, Run in as fast as possible and get in quick or heavy attacks with the blades. It should take about 30-35 hits to start phase 2. - Follow the Prompts and rip off a horse claw. - PHASE 2- The Horse will now Spray water as well at you, Roll all the way back to dodge, or cast magic if you want to play it more safe. It will also Slam into the ground, When it does stay all the way back and to the left. It will then be stunned, for a little bit thats your chance to attack. About 20 hits will bring up the next prompt screen. Follow it and launch it's own claw into its own heart. to complete the Seahorse battle. - Sit back and relax, go through the heart of gaia, save your game and enjoy your nice checkpoint. --------BOSS # 1 PoiSedOn--------- Challange Rating 2/5 Poisedon: - Ground Lightning - Blue Electricity will sweep the ground. To dodge, you must find the open area, very difficult be QUICK. - Claw Swipe - The Giant claws are back and will crash down on Kratos. Move left or right depending on which claw attacks. - Fist of Poisedon - Poisedon will take his giant might fist and slam the ground. Use your Golden Fleece block, it is also parryable. - Poisedons Trident - Poisedon will thurst his Trident into the ground, causing electricty to rush through the whole area. Use your magic to make yourself invulnerable while also doing damage to poisedon. ===PHASE 1--- - OK ! So those are poisedons attacks and things we should worry about. At the start of the battle keep those attacks in mind. - First take out the 4 claws, left and right while dodging poisedons electric ground attacks. This is the most difficult part of the battle. You MAY want to use magic here, but poisedons trident attack can be more insane. So pick your poison. I would use one tornado spell here, if things really got tricky, and one on poisedon, because hopefully you will have gained some magic back for phase 2. Once all 4 claws are down, latch onto Gaia and Phase 2 will begin. ---PHASE 2--- - Keep poisdeons attacks in mind. He will now use, fist of poisedon, and posideons trident attacks. Parry the fist and keep attacking poisdeon with light attacks. Use your magic on the trident it should take him down and bring up the prompt. Follow the Prompt and you should regain some magic. ---PHASE 3--- For this phase watch out for the ground electricty. It is easy because all we have to do is take out the 4 claws again. Do it Quickly and with one tornado spell, you will not even have to worry about the electricty, if your quick and lucky. ---PHASE 4--- Pummel Poisedon With the Rage of Sparta. ! The 3 Trails 2. Cerberus at your Door 3. Wrath of Hades --- The 3 Trials--- - The First trial is rather simple, Just keep pressing circle. Grabbing the handes and breaking them in half. As fear Kratos, and possibly even Kratos. These are one shot killers. Also for the Olympic Citizens, get them before they turn into monsters. Just keep hitting them with light attacks. - Once the Minotaurs come, focus attacks on them. The real problem is phase 3, or trial number 3, which is DESTROY EVERYTHING ! - Good thing about this part is that if you do die, you will start at the last trial you were previously on. So basically each trial completion will have a checkpoint. Even on Chaos mode. - Trial 3 could be the hardest and probably is. Trick it can be done rather easily though. - There will be Gargoyles or something similar, that will crash into the ground and explode. It has radius damage and can one shot kill Fear kratos. The best tactic is to take out the Gorgon. Rip her head off OR Block her Stone Gaze attack. With the Golden fleece this should reflect and hit all enemies in a radius. Hopefully with some luck you can get the nasty gargoyles. You may possibly want to save this move for the minotaurs as well. Either way the gargoyles are the most dangerous. --- Cerberus at the Door---- -We will now be dealing with not one but TWO cerberus at the door right before Hades Palace. - This can be hard because they are fast moving and were dealing with two at a time. The Bow of apollo is our friend here, and i suggest you level it up to max level or level 2. -At First Use your army of sparta, one shot should bring up prompts on BOTH Cerberus if you timed it right and or aimed correctly. You should also be able to pull off both prompts, ripping off both cerberus heads, on each serparte cerberus. rinse and repeat and they should both only have one head left. - Immediatley use army of sparta again, and if your out of magic then quickly use the blades on one cerberus. Follow the prompts and get rid of one of them for good. - Now play it safe on the final one, moving away and everytime you have enough room, volley out some apollo arrows on the cerberus. It should bring up the final prompt shortly. Then take it down. - Finally once inside, there will be another battle scene. Use grabs mainly kicking baby cerberus into the undead warriors. Do NOT worry about the chest, grabbing them may cause you to die. - WE have reached another check point, and will have some exploring and puzzle solving to do next. I am expecting you have already beaten the game, which is why I am only covering, neccessary battles. So save relax and get ready for one of the best Boss fights in gaming history. ------Wrath Of Hades------- * This battle was written for Kratos regular costume. tactics will work with Fear Kratos as well. It is much easier as Fear kratos, because of the damage increase. Challange Rating : 5/5 Kratos: Bow Of Apollo ( Normal Arrows Only ) * Level 2 Blades of Exile * Level 2 Hades: - Stomp ( Must be Dodged) - Left Claw - Right Claw ( claws can be blocked and parried!) 1. After The Stomp Attack, Roll away and Fire off a barrage of Arrows. 2. After Block or parry on Claws, Be quick with Light attacfks. - Ground Slam * At the Start of phase 2, Hades will always do this, when he lands be aware and jump over the shock waves. - Left and right claw attacks, can still be dodged and parried in phase 2. - Hades will now also swing the claws, low and high. He will do this up to 5x times. Jump accordingly or stay low, accordingly. - After 4,5x claw swipes, immediatley start firing volleys of arrows with no fire enhancement. Hades is immune to fire. Rinse and repeat this tactic for the entire phase. - Always try staying in the middle of the battle field the entire time. Follow the prompts and get ready for the hands and hades organ. - Use light attacks on the organ, they are the most accurate, and effective. Once it's down you will begin phase 3. PHASE 3::: - This is the most difficult phase of them all. - Hades will start out by casting chains everywhere, except for one or two areas. Find those areas and quickly go to them to take no damage. - Hades uses just about all of his attacks from phase 1 and phase 2. You should definitley, have a fully powered blade of olympus at this point in the game. I suggest using it and using it hard. Phase 4 ::: Hades will do his ground slam to start the phase. Jump over it. He will now cast souls and use a lashing claw attack. Now it is time to finally use our magic. Get in close and use Army of sparta. Use it either until the prompt or it empties completly. - For the lash whip, it is hard to avoid with a roll, but rolling away is the only way. He will lash whip quickly, there will be very little time to fire arrows, it takes practice and you MUST be fast. - When he summons his skulls, he leaves himself open for a bit. Use that to your advantage, the skulls are nearly impossible to dodge, yet they do little damage, even quadrupled on fear kratos mode. - Follow the prompts and take out the organ, with light attacks again. Beware for hades chanin montage next, find the open area and go to it like at the end of phase 2. Phase 5 :::: - Uprising chains Hades will have the chains come out of the ground, they will follow kratos around, you must keep moving to avoid. It is possible to fire arrows and move away from them, at the same time, although dangerous. - Summon Cerberus - These are like the skulls, except even harder to dodge, even more powerful as well. They are unblockable, try to avoid at least one of them and then fire off arrows. - This phase is the final until a much needed checkpoint. follow the prompts as Hades energy bar is much lower in this phase then it was in phase 4. Phase 6 :::: - Much easier because now we have a check point. not to mention all it is IS tug of war. Keep moving backwards and then use quick lashes. Eventually the Prompt will come up. Follow it into phase 7. Phase 7 ::::: - We now have the claws of hades, and we MUST use them for this phase. There are grapple points, that we can use to our advantage to get in back of hades. Use them whenever possible. And quickly use heavy attacks on his back. - It may take a few tries, but this Final phase has a checkpoint as well. Which makes this much easier then it seems. ! Americanhardcoregames.com Full Digital guide with original fan art ! ### The Glory Of Helios ### Challange Rating 3/5 - This is very difficult, We have to first take out the Armored Spartans at the Door to olympia. Then,The Centaur. But we also have armored spartan warriors. Then of course there will be a chimera right after, so It's going to be an interesting road to Helios. - For the Spartans, best to use some magic, and Grab Tactics. I like to Run fire away, Set them on fire with a level 2 bow of apollo. After that get in some attacks The Bow of Apollo is a major help with its fire charge attack here. When the spartans are unarmored, then ram them with circle into other warriors. - The Centaur section is difficult as well. I suggest using my magic on the centaur, as there are some mana chest and health nearby. Use at least 1 army of sparta, then Quick attacks until the prompt. - Then deal with the undead spartan armor warriors. Use the same tactics at the door to olympia. - Recharge some mana or health at the chests, then make your way up towards the ballista. We Will now do battle with a Chimera. ** Chimera ** - This is tough, first the snake use light attacks, and roll backs for the dodge. Follow prompts as the snake his the lowest amount of health. - If you NEED health, use the chest nearby when the Chimera is stunned. - The Lion Will breathe fire, use your army of sparta, two shots will take it down, then follow prompts. - Finally for the Goat, go into sword of Olympus FTW ( for the win.) - Enjoy the checkpoint, and make your way to the top of the mountain, to encounter a cyclops and Helios. - The Cylops is easy, its big and slow, just stay back and fire arrows. Very simple, compared to what we faced earlier. Watch the Helios scene and rip off his head. Enjoy The new Relic, the Head of Helios ! %%%%%% Message To Hermes %%%%%%%% - This is really just a platforming section of the game. If you are having trouble with it, Check my video on either gamefaqs.com or my website. - You can also refer to another guide on gamefaqs.com - Once again, this is meant as a chaos mode run strictly on boss BATTLES or the more challanging battles in the game. Challange Rating 4/5 Kratos: Bow of Apollo- Uneffective Head Of Helios- Use this to blind the skeletons, if they get to close. It also does damage, to both Hercules and his minions. Blades of Exile- Hopefully your using these and have them at either level 3, and better yet level 4. - Wow things are heating up ! This one is tough. It also has 3 phases, the First 2 phases must be finished before the checkpoint at phase 3. Unforunatley phase 1 and 2 are the most difficult. -PHASE 1::: - Hercules really does not have many attacks, he will punch and slam the ground, causing a small radius tremor. - Use Hercules own allies, to your advantage, Continue grabbing then ramming them into Hercules. This is the easiest and fastest one to taking out phase 1. Follow the prompts and kick off his Shoulder guard. -PHASE 2 - Same thing safest method is to ram the skeletons into hercules. If you want to speed things up use some magic. Army Of sparta will work nicely especially at level 4. If your having to much trouble, I suggest collecting more red orbs, at the previous save point. - Eventually Hercules will go down, and then berid of his entire army and begin phase 3. -Phase 3 - If you have Blade of Olympus power left, use it now You will NOT need it for the next phase. This should take hercules Down quickly. If not, then stay far back with rolls, and keep using quick light attacks from a distance. Follow the Prompts to Phase 4 final. -Phase 4 - Now we have Hercules Nemean Cestus. Things are downhill from here. Were doing a ton of damage, and even when hercules grabs you, it does not do damage to kratos. - Hercules will pick up 3 parts of the wall, after the 3rd wall piece is thrown keep attacking with the nemean cestus. He will then pick up the floor, Follow the prompts and Beat the crap out of him. Congratulations ! ! You Have Destroyed the Might of Hercules ! ~~~~~~~~ Agony Of Cronos~~~~~~~~ Very interesting section, that reminds me how original the hermes battle was. This section has you fighting the giant titan Cronos. Using many of your abilities at once. Cronos is huge and thus takes a while to take him down. We will be blinding cronos with the head of helios, cutting off his fingernails and MORE ! Pending on which difficulty you play on this is either hard or easy. On chaos as fear kratos, since were putting out so much damage, and magic recharges at each checkpoint (if you die) its not too difficult. There are about 4-5 checkpoints so don't worry to much about dying, it may actually benefit you in beating cronos quicker. ~~~~~~ Labyrinth Scorpion~~~~~~~~ Phase 1 : Follow Prompts : Nemean Cestus Main Weapon : : Baldes of Exile Lvl 4 Secondary : * Very difficult you will Need some luck. - Do not forget about being able to Jump and boost with the newly acquired boots of hermes. This is a great dodge tactic. - ALWAYS be aware of the little scropions, be aware of EVERYTHING, but also keep your patience and your cool, this could take many tries. - The Nemean cestus is NOT very accurate, so I suggest landing heavy punches, 1, then 2 or a one two punch. This should make it easier, then swinging wild. * In fear kratos mode this will go much faster, which makes it easier, then Kratos mode. * Fire arrows will also catch little scropions in a radius on fire, remember to use it when you have an opening. * The Tail attack is the most dangerous, attack the scorpion has. ALWAYS dodge it, and if your really stuck, save your magic for this particular move. Magic makes you invulnerable for a period of time. If you want to save your magic, for the little scorpions after PHASE 1. It will be more difficult. - I suggest then, when attacking the legs, stay in front of them. So kratos does NOT get stuck. Be ready to dodge, the seconds that tail reacts. It is very difficult. - Once all legs on ONE side are down, the scorpion will fall, Fly over to his head with hermes boots. Use the Blade of Olympus until the Prompt appears. This will start PHASE 2, but there is NO checkpoint. PHASE 2 ---- - A ton of mini scropions will surrond Kratos. This is where you may also want to use army,of sparta. It gets rid of them in one shot. And may give you some health back if your lucky. - Phase 2 is the same as phase one so follow the pattern from phase one. Hopefully with some luck you will come out victorious. - There will finally be a checkpoint after this. Then we will need to use icarus wings, to finish off the scorpion. Do so and Enjoy Another checkpoint and the defeat of the labyrinth scorpion. 7.2 Labyrinth Horde:::: - Helios Head * extremely useful, for detecting and making sirens appear. It will also stun enemies and just rocks. Use it. - Hermes Boots * Wow without these I don't think I could've beaten the game on Chaos mode. When you use these on certain targets, they will launch up into the air. You can then power throw them. - Nemesis Whip - The fastest weapon in the game and the best for keeping enemies stunned and under control. It also has the best combo rate. I suggest sticking with it, for this entire battle. - Nemean Cestus, It is Required to take down the Onyx Warriors. PHASE 1::: Sirens: Use hermes boots to launch ONE into the air, Then power throw them. Do THIS on all 3 sirens, one time each do NOT kill them YET! * Head of Helios To make them Appear if they dissappear. Once all 3 sirens are stunned, after rinse and repeat, of tactic 1. KILL ONE of them. This will start Phase 2. Or Wave 2. PHASE 2 :::: -Finish off the half dead remaining sirens. - The Onyx Warriors are the most difficult part of the battle. - Use your nemean cestus, to take them out. Also use magic when in HUGE trougle ONLY. - Beware and make SURE to kill the final siren. PHASE 3::: - Killing the Final Siren, Releases Death Scythes. - We also will still have undead onyx warriors around Kratos or Fear Kratos. So Magic IF you MUST. - Death Scythes can be GRABED which is good. Hermes boots will make them airborn, as well as uprising attacks. - At some point, Sirens will RETURN, take them out FIRST because of there blue scream attack, which will Stun kratos. PHASE 4 :: After the Death Scythes and Sirens, the ONyx knights will RETURN. Take them out with the Neamean Cestus. MORE death Scythes will appear. Use your chain lash, to grab them and try and setup for a back breaking throw attack. FINALLY after that.. - Minotaurs will appear, they are easier then they look with the Nemesis whip. Use the whip and strike them up into the air. Then follow up with the Tirade attack. or Combo. At high levels this will be a "1337" or Elite tactic. PHASE 5:: - After Minotaurs, wave 5 will begin and yes more Onyx Knights. Now we have Onyx Knights, And Sirens, and Death Scythes. Combine ALL the tactics, from the earlier phases to take this one down. - After Sirens, are down MORE MORE MORE Onyx knights. Blade of Olympus should be full by now, use it if you would wish to do so. Then you guessed it MORE onyx Knights.... ----PHASE 6 ---- -More onyx knights , I hoped you saved your magic, Because now there are Onyx Knights, Minotarus, Sirens and oh yeah Death Scythes. So YES everything ALL at once. - Make sure to KNOW your items, read this section especially the early phases and practice makes perfect. If you get it the first time, Then you are the ONE. or NEO from the matrix and hats off to you. Gamefaqs.com For videos and text guide. Codebreak1337 youtube.com ~~~~~~~~~~~ KING OF THE GODS ~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the Final Battle, Vs of course Zeus the King of the Gods. It starts off as a 2-D fighter style battle and this is the first battle of 3 yes 3 fights vs zeus! Battle one has 2 phases and is probably my favorite. It's intense its fun and you beat the crap out of zeus in it lol. Concentrate on using your jet boost and grab and you should take him down really really fast. Especially in fear kratos mode. Battle 2 is a little diffrent, zeus is actually harder, but it is timed based and all the player has to do is stay alive for about 1-2 minutes. Gaia will come and interupt the fight, which leads the the final battle part 3 inside the heart of gaia ! Battle 3 is the final and hardest battle of the Zeus wars. As fear kratos, it is not so bad because we are doing so much damage. ONce you get your ram + grab down, phase 1 is easy. Once he charges on Gaia's heart phase 2 begins. Since we didn't use magic in phase 1, or rage of sparta, now is the time to unleash hell. I suggest army of sparta for magic, then finally blade of olympus to finish Zeus off. You may need to get a little lucky, but it will work. ! END !
