Virtua Tennis 4 PlayStation 3 Cheats and Tips

Select 'Single' match type in Arcade mode and win ALL four matches without losing any games. You must also not go to 'Deuce' in any of the games. When you accomplish this you will play a special match against King. Defeat King to unlock him as a playable character.

As a male tennis player complete Arcade mode without losing a game. When you accomplish this an exhibition match will appear at the end of Arcade mode with a special match message stating your next opponent will be Duke. Defeat Duke to unlock him as a selectable character.

When playing Virtua Tennis 4, to select Theron Tenniel and Vicky Barney as playable characters, follow these instructions:

Pick Load on the player selection screen. Then, press LB to choose Theron Tenniel. Press RB to select Vicky Barney.

Once you get 600 Ultimate Star Ranking, you are given a tennis hero t-shirt. Once you win a tournament in this shirt, Tennisman sends you a message!

Bear in mind that when playing Virtua Tennis 4, you get more points for Deuce points than if you thrash your opponent, so it is worth making games closer to grind out the points.

To unlock The Duke, beat Arcade Mode as a male player without dropping a single game. You will then need to defeat the Duke in the match that occurs.

(Note: this can be done on any difficulty setting).

Unlocking the King is not easy and it has only recently become clear how to do it. Beating the King is required for the Great King Trophy.

To unlock King, you need to win every game in Arcade mode without dropping a game or going to deuce at any stage. Not only that, but you need to get a medal on 5 out of the 6 medal categories. This means you need an ace or dropshot to qualify.

You will then be treated to a match against King. Beat him to unlock him.

He is a tough opponent, and you should aim for his forehand.

Note: choose retry if you fail, otherwise you need to play through Arcade mode again to get the game back! This can be done on any difficulty setting.
