If you open up the 'Sir Fransis Drake's Diary' when near a statue, you will see two pages. The first page shows pictures of the statues, with a word beside each picture. On the next page, there is a compass, with the same words as the preveious page, being pointed at by each hand of the compass(North-East-South-West). The word refers the the statue it was written beside, and the direction the statue needs to face. Then you just make the statues face N,E,S or W, in relation to the compass in the middle floor of the room your standing in. This opens a secret passage behind a bookcase. Then, when in the next room, pull the two levers on the wall on the right side of the room(they look like giant keys - I think - you can't miss them). This opens up yet another secret passage to the hidden underground catacombs. Hope I helped you out, and good luck! This is one amazing game!
