How do I stop from dying from the machine in lizards 2?

On the convaterbelts, you have to stand towards the end and press the Spider Sense button (L1), then you have to keep tapping the indicated button (usually X) to hold him down and then when yu get to the machine he breaks it.
The machine that is following you is digging through the tunnel. Just have Spidey swing through the openings in the rock in front of you.
