Are there new characters in this game is it the same characters

The only new characters that are introduced into this game are Silver the Hedgehog, Princess Elise of Soleanna, Iblis the Flames, and Mephiles the Dark. Although Silver is only playable of the one's I have listed. Elise is just like Princess Peach where you save her from Eggman. Iblis and Mephiles are the main antagonists of this game, and they will stop you from completeing the game, but they're considered to be easy alone, but powerful together as one. I think that's it, but if by any new characters that are playable, than that's just Silver. Slow, but very fun to play. Hope this was able to help you out.
