Hello and welcome to my Walkthrough on the commercially released demo of The
Matrix: Path of Neo.

This demo takes place in the Lobby section of the first Matrix film, a
set-piece that is a favorite among Matrix fans. It has three equally diverse
waves, consisting of a new enemy / set of enemies in each wave.

The demo is very addictive, and you'll soon find yourself hooked on finding
all of the stylish, fluid, hidden moves contained in the immersive gameplay.

The demo does, however, have a timer which it ticks down to until the game
is rebooted to the original menu screen.

Thank you for reading.

In The Matrix: Path of Neo demo there are a lot of weapons you can lay your
hands on. Automatics like MP5 rifles and semi-auto pistols and rife throughout
the game and here too.

In general, automatics like the MP5 are best for picking of soldiers at a
distance and are effective at any distance. They are also very accurate at any
range. However, they devour ammo quickly and there isn't much for it.

Shotguns, naturally, are completely useless at range. However, get your
opponent in close and this puppy will turn them into a great big pile of goo
with a single shot.

Pistols are a mixed bag. They appear to have some decent ranged capabilities
but suffer from rate of fire. You must keep clicking the 'Fire' button to
shoot, and it becomes time consuming and annoying. The ammo is plentiful but
you will find you won't be using it.

There are also two different kinds of projectile weapons in this demo. The
first one you'll come across is the Tear Gas Grenade. This non-lethal grenade
unleashes a cloud of smoke that basically irritates opponents eyes, making it
impossible for them to see for a while.

The other grenade, the Fragmentation Grenade, is most probably the funniest
weapon in the demo. On detonation (by built-in timer or on contact) it
explodes, causing mass destruction and taking out legions of enemies. If you
are after a laugh or a short way to finish the demo, throw a grenade at the
third wave of enemies as they pour in.

Below is a factfile on the weapons you can handle in the demo.

------------
PISTOL
------------

POWER: Poor
RATE OF FIRE: Average
STYLE: Good
CLIP: Poor

The Pistol is the basic weapon in the demo and is disappointingly weak and
boring compared to the way they are used in the films. They still retain their
coolness, though, and some gravity-defying stunts are possible while wielding
them.

-------------
SHOTGUN
-------------

POWER: Excellent
RATE OF FIRE: Very Poor
STYLE: Average
CLIP: Poor

A pretty useful weapon that has fantastic stopping power at the expense of
rate of fire, which is awful. It also hard to properly target with this
weapon while Focus-jumping. The clip is also very small, as with most shotguns.

-------------------
ASSAULT RIFLE
-------------------

POWER: Poor
RATE OF FIRE: Excellent
STYLE: Good
CLIP: Good

Most probably the best weapon in the demo. While it's a weak weapon, its
versatility lies in its awesome firing rate that can eradicate just about any
enemy you will face in a quarter of a clip. It's also stunning to watch in
Focus mode. You will want to keep a good stock of this weapon, so grab any ammo
you see.

---------------------------
FRAGMENTATION GRENADE
---------------------------

POWER: Excellent
RATE OF FIRE: N/A
STYLE: N/A
CLIP: N/A

The Fragmentation Grenade is the most lethal weapon you can possess in this
demo. You will only recieve three in the demo, at the end of the second wave,
but they are so strong you should really only need one to destroy an entire
wave of enemies. Beware when using one however, as if it connects with a nearby
enemy you will be eradicated in the blast as well, so extreme caution is
advised.

----------------------
TEAR GAS GRENADE
----------------------

POWER: Poor
RATE OF FIRE: N/A
STYLE: N/A
CLIP: N/A

The Tear Gas Grenade is useful for disorientating enemies, but not much else.
Since this grenade is also non-lethal, you can't even damage enemies with the
gas. Drop this in favour of the Fragmentation Grenade as soon as it becomes
available.

+==(____/'====================================================================+

------------
WAVE 1
------------

Enemies: Regular Soldier (MP5, Shotgun, Pistol, Tear Gas)
=========================================================

The first wave and by far the easiest - even as a rookie to the game you should
brush these weaklings aside with ease. They lack precision aiming with their
Pistols and are really only a threat with Shotguns, at point blank range.

They hide behind the pillars littered around the edges of the Lobby. The best
way to dispatch them is to use the MP5 rifle they drop and let loose with it.
A clip probably holds enough to destroy three soldiers.

Another good tactic is to use hand-to-hand fighting. The soldiers only know
very basic fighting combinations and are no match for your honed skills. They
very rarely block either, so feel free to go wild and to use Specials to
rip through legions of them.

It is more than likely you will recieve damage at some point during this wave
but at the end you will find ammo packs and health littered around the
elevator. Make sure you pick them up as they will disappear at the beginning
of the next wave. You can also pick up some Tear Gas Grenades, however I don't
recommend it as Fragmentation Grenades are available soon.

------------
WAVE 2
------------

         Regular Soldier (MP5, Shotgun)
Enemies: Advanced Soldier (MP5)
         Lieutenant (MP5+)
=======================================

The difficulty level takes a hike in this wave. You will be creamed by the
Advanced Soldiers accurate MP5 fire, so take cover and pick them off one at a
time with your own MP5. The Advanced Soldiers also take a little more
punishment than the Regular Soldiers in the last wave, and they are far better
hand-to-hand fighters.

Concentrate on killing all of the Advanced Soldiers before you start on the
Regular Soldiers again.

The Lieutenant is a completely different kettle of fish. He wields an MP5, but
uses it expertly and rarely misses a direct shot. It appears to be more
powerful than the regular MP5 as well. This means that you'll have to engage
him in hand-to-hand as he withstand a long firefight.

The Lieutenant is a skilled martial artist as well. You'll find he block some
combinations and even unleash some of his own which are quite damaging. He
might even counter a continous move, so always be alert and mix up strikes
with Special Attack. Variate.

After you have killed the Lieutenant, scour the area near his body for a purple
box containing Fragmentation Grenades and pick them up before the cut-scene
ensues.

------------
WAVE 3
------------

         Advanced Soldier (MP5, Shotgun)
Enemies: Lieutenant (MP5+)
         Riot Soldier (MP5, Riot Shield)
========================================

The final wave of enemies, and the difficulty level rises accordingly. You can
take serious damage in seconds if you don't have your wits about you. An easy
way to defeat this wave in mere seconds is to immediately throw a fragmentation
grenade at the barrage of troops. This will take out all of the Riot Soldiers
and Lieutenants and you are left to mop up the Advanced Soldiers.

However, it can be hard to draw the grenade quickly enough and its hard to be
accurate.

All is not lost if you did not effectively use the grenade however, but you now
have a huge fight on your hands. The Riot Guards' Riot Shields stop all
non-volatile bullets from damaging the soldiers at all, so your going to have
to use a little fisticuffs to damage these guys. Once you've got rid of their
shields however they act like regular advanced soldiers so they aren't too
hard to kill. Watch out however, as they are remarkably skilled at shooting if
you allow them to get far enough away.

There are also a lot of Lieutenants to deal with, but they seem to be not as
overwhelmingly powerful as they were in the last wave and as such aren't as
much of a problem. They do pose a threat in groups however, so don't
underestimate them.

When this wave has been decimated, follow Trinity towards the elevator at the
end of the lobby. Demo Complete.
