2. FAQS
*************************
Q: Is this game like Grand Theft Auto?
A: Yes and no. Yes you can go around stealing cars and doing missions and
you can kill many people. That's pretty much it. The Getaway is made for
realism. Grand Theft Auto is made for fun. They are very different games.

Q: I heard that this game takes place and London, England and features real
and accurate locations, is this true?
A: Yes. There is 40 Square Kilometers of real London road including Hyde
Park. It took the developers 3 years to make this game; taking literally
millions of photos of London to make it very accurate.

Q: Does this game have real cars in it?
A: Yes, there's about 40 car manufacturers in The Getaway

Q: I heard that there is a Tourist Mode after you beat the game. Is this
true?
A: No, that was taken out of the game.

Q: Are there BMWs in this game?
A: No. At first there were, but unfortunately they were taken out. But in one
mission, there is a disabled one you can gawk at, but you can't get in it.

Q: Any Mercedes-Benz?
A: Actually, no. There were at first, but they were taken and replaced by
"Brabus" which look just like Mercedes, but probably not the ones you're
thinking of.

Q: Is there a way tv censor the swearing?
A: No, but if you mind it that much, you can always use the Mute button on
your TV.

Q: I heard that the missions are really hard, is this true?
A: Well, at first you might think so. But after a while you might think they
are too easy. Once you realize you can heal during a mission it gets easier.

Q: I got my game but it didn't come with a map! Is it supposed too?
A: Well, the NTSC Version doesn't come with a map for some odd reason. But it
is in the Strategy Guide and you can find it on the internet.

Q: Does it Rain or Snow in this game?
A: No, the only weather other than a sunny day, is dark clouds. It does
add a cool effect to the game though.

More FAQs might be up in the future. If you have a question, just e-mail us
and we will be glad to answer it.

3. CHARACTERS
*************************

Mark Hammond [The Fugitive]
----------------------------
A former member of the Soho-based Collins Gang, Mark Hammond is now on
the run for suspected murder of his wife Susie. Desperate not to be captured
so he can free his kidnapped child, Mark is trying recklessly to maintain
his sanity and freedom.

Frank Carter [The Vigilante]
-----------------------------
A determined member of the elite Flying Squad, Frank carter's ambition is
to nail Charlie Jolson. Some of his superiors, however, do not share his
obsession, so Frank must bend the law to bring the Bethnal Green Mob to
justice.

Charlie Jolson [The Criminal Mastermind]
-----------------------------------------
An aging East End gangster and head of the notorius Bethnal Green Mob,
Charlie has a taste for the "finer things in life" like Classic Bentleys,
(Are they even in the game???) Savile Row Suits and fat Cuban cigars. But
history has passed Charlie by and his London is one he no longer recognizes
and in the underworld no one stays on top forever.

Yasmin [The Assassin]
----------------------
A stunning brunette and former escort girl, Yasmin gets a kick out of killing
men. She has never known a man who wasn't interested in her and uses
her allure to lead her contracts to destruction. Beneath this icy pretence,
however, lies the heart of a lost little girl.

Nick Collins [The Collins Gang Leader]
---------------------------------------
Slick Nick epitomises the modern business ethic of 'work hard, play harder'.
The Collins Gang controls Soho's bars and are the only modern crew that has
come near to the former notoriety of Charlie's Bethnal Green Mob.

Shan Chu [The Triad Leader]
----------------------------
Shan Chu (Bobby) Lee is a recent immigrant from Hong Kong and heads up the
London based section of the 14K Triads. The Triads are responsible for
protection rackets enforced on the Chinese community, immigrant smuggling and
importing drugs.

Jamahl [The Yardie Leader]
---------------------------
Jamahl is the head of the Yardie gang responsible for most of London's drug
problems. Heavily involved with arms dealing, the Yardies are vicious and
determined and abide by none of the 'Old Code' that Charlie Jolson pays lip
service to.

Jake Jolson
-----------
Now here's a criminal if there ever was one. This guy is bad, and seems to
lose his temper quite a bit. He is a force for Mark to reckon with.

"Eyebrows"
----------
This little feller works for Mr. Jolson. He's mean and shows no remorse for
Mark. He's the quiet yet brutal part of the Bethnal Green Mob.

McCormack [The Crooked Cop]
---------------------------
This is the Copper that busted Mark a few years back. Once Mark is sent to
kill him, he isn't so skeptical about murdering the Copper anymore. It's the
revenge he never thought he would want or get.

4. WEAPONS
*************************

Melee Weapons
These weapons do not require ammunition. Instead, you have to hit the enemy
with your melee weapon. When you run out of ammunition for a gun, or if your
ammunition is scarce, find and use a melee weapon if you can.

Baseball Bat
Baseball bats are carried by some Yardies and very few Triads. If you enemies
have guns it is not very smart to use this, unless you sneak up behind them.
If they have melee weapons it is good. But if you are near an enemy with a
gun try to whack him with it; he will back away if you are near him with a
baseball bat so get him before he does.

Nightstick
Carried by the Police. To find one just kill a police officer when they have
their Nightstick out and take it. It isn't that great though. But it is good
at extremely close range.

Meat Cleaver
These are mostly carried by the Triads. If you are near someone with the Meat
Cleaver be careful and back away and try to kill them with a gun because 2
swipes at you and you're dead. Fortunately, it only takes 1 swipe for YOU to
kill an enemy with it.

Crowbar
A very rare weapon, but it's in the game. The Crowbar is very powerful; one
whack on the head will take an enemy down. Some gangs carry the Crowbar and
it's in some missions, such as mission 14.

Pistol Whip
Just find a pistol, take it out and go near an enemy and give him a Pistol
Whip. It is very effective and one whack will do for just about any enemy. It
takes 2 or 3 for you to die though. You can whack people with any other gun,
too.

=============================================================================

Firearms
Each gun comes loaded with at least one clip. You will have to collect
ammunition that is lying around, to keep using the gun. Each gun is different
in speed and power.

-------------
Rating System
-------------
5- Outstanding
4- Excellent
3- Average
2- Poor
1- Terrible

Pistol
The most common gun in the game. The Pistol is easy to find and it is pretty
good in power, especially to the head. Every gang has the Pistol so you will
use it a lot in the game. You can carry Double Pistols which is sweet for
killing many people. The Pistol is good at extremely far range and is good
at close range but it is best at medium and far range. If you stand near an
enemy and press Square you will perform a Pistol Whip (See Pistol Whip above
in melee section).

---------------
Range- 5
Firing Rate- 3
Power- 3
---------------

Shotgun
A very powerful weapon but lack in range; it's a Shotgun! But at close range it
can take out any normal enemy in one hit. Charlie Jolson's gang uses this gun
the most out of all the gangs I would say. If you intend to kill enemies at
close range, pick one up, but if you don't intend to do that just walk past it.
If you are trying to kill an enemy very far away put down your Shotgun and use
the Pistol because it is better for accuracy.

---------------
Range- 2
Firing Rate- 2
Power- 5
---------------

AK-47
A very good gun, probably my favourite. The AK-47 is carried mostly by Charlie
Jolson's gang, the Triads and the Yardies. This gun's so good so many people
use it. It is great at close and medium range but at far and extremely far
range it isn't that great. It is best to use the AK-47 at close and medium
range because of its fast firing rate.

---------------
Range- 4
Firing Rate- 4
Power- 4
---------------

MP5 (SWAT Issued)
The best overall gun in the game. You can't find the MP5 just anywhere, it
is carried by the Police SWAT or Flying Squad Team. But when you find one,
it's amazing. You can also carry Double MP5s which is sweet. The MP5 is
very good for medium and far range. It is good in close range but I would
recommend the Shotgun or AK-47. It is best in medium and far range.

---------------
Range- 5
Firing Rate- 5
Power- 4

6. HEALING
*************************
Low on health? Think some missions are impossible to beat because you always
die? Well you can heal in the middle of a mission and get full health
whenever you want. When low on health go beside a flat wall but do not press
X and go against the wall. Stand by the wall and the character will lean
against it, which recharges your health. Enemies and other people cannot do
this. When your character stops leaning against the wall you will have full
health, unless you press a button or you aren't in a good spot; try to look
for a good flat wall and don't press anything until your character stops
leaning against the wall.

*************************
7. LANGUAGE
*************************
The Getaway is rated M for Mature. There ar emore reasons for that but one
is the language. many swearwords are in the game, trust me, there's A LOT!
Especially the f-word; You should hear that word at least 5 times in every
video. The s-word and the b-word and some others are in the game too. So if
you find these words offensive either turn the volume down on the videos or
don't play the game. If someone is near you that doesn't appreciate that
language and it's a video, I strongly suggest you turn the volume down.
Also, I have just heard recently that you can skip cutscenes by pressing R3.
I have yet to try that. When I do I will confirm it. It is confirmed. But you
can only skip videos that you have already seen, meaning you beat the mission.

10. TIPS
*************************

Here you can find tips on many things in The Getaway. They are in different
sections If you feel I should add another section about something else, just
e-mail one of us.

==============
SHAKE THE COPS
==============
In The Getaway, you might find that it is hard for you to lose the cops. If
you are new to the game most likely though. But it can still be hard for
others. If you have trouble with the cops and they end up having you nicked
or are just plain annoying you, here are some tips:

-If you see a cop car in the distance, slow down if you are going very fast
(it doesn't really matter but is as better I guess) and drive carefully past
the copper. If you do this the cop wont chase you unless they know who you are
if you are Mark Hammond. With DC Carter, the cops don't chase you
-If cops are on your back try getting very close to cars driving fast and dodge
them; they cops will follow you and will most likely smash right into a car
-Try driving through heavy mobs of cars and go on some sidewalks
-Or just drive straight through cars in a straight line just missing them and
the copper will probably hit of of them
-If they just wont give up, stop your car, get out and shoot the cops amd kill
them. Also, steal their car if it is the Orange and white one because it's fast.

=====================
HOW TO DODGE A COPPER
=====================
------------------
Coming Towards You
------------------
When a copper is in his car coming at you, slow down a bit and fake one
direction by barely turning one direction, then quickly swerve the other way
and the copper will skid his car to the direction you faked. This is a smooth
little trick that counters their cheap and idiotic cop car abuse. Lucky for
them, it's only a game.

*************************
  MARK HAMMOND MISSIONS
*************************
*************************
11. STORYLINE
*************************
You are Mark Hammond. An unlucky guy; his wife, Sousie, gets murdered at the
very beginning of the game and his son, Alex, gets kidnapped. You have to try
and get your kid back.

*************************
12. WALKTHROUGH
*************************

Mark Hammond Missions
---------------------
[ Note: ] ---------------------------------------------------------------
You can replay missions whenever you want. In every mission there is a
beginning video which is mostly very long so be patient. In each mission
there are 1, 2 or 3 parts in it. Once you do one, it is like a checkpoint;
if you die or fail you will start at the beginning of the checkpoint. But
if you get to the second part in a mission and turn it off the checkpoint
is lost and you will have to play the whole mission again.

[ Rating Note: ] --------------------------------------------------------
Some missions are very easy, others are either or very hard or inbetween.
Some missions are almost impossible for some people. Here are the
following difficulties that will be used for each mission:
Very Easy
Easy
Normal
Hard
Very Hard
Insane

-------------------------
Mission 1: The Frightener
Difficulty: Very Easy
-------------------------

At the beginning of this mission you see Mark's wife, Sousie, and his son,
Alex, walking after coming out of their home. Unfortunatley, Sousie gets
killed and Alex is kidnapped while Mark is lying on his bed home nearby.
Mark runs outside to see what's happened and finds his wife on the ground,
dead. His son is put in a car and they drive away. Now you have to follow
them to their hideout. Right when you can play follow the red car as fast
as you can. If you lose it, don't worry, just follow these directions:

From as soon as you take control:

Turn right
Go through the small intersection
Turn left
Continue over the pavement at the next intersection
Sharp right
Sharp right
Turn left
Cross the bridge
Stay left at the roundabout and take the first road on the left
Drive on the center line between the two lanes to get past traffic
Go through the next intersection
Continue past a road that comes from the left
Go through the next intersection
Past another left
Take the NEXT left
Another left
Get out by the red car and walk into the open area through the door
by the car.

Pull out your gun and auto-aim at the guard beside the trailer and the
guard behind the trailer, killing them both. Then free-aim at the gas
barrels up high near the entrance of the warehouse; there is a guy behind
them. After it explodes the stairs will fall down over there and he will
die. Soon, a guard with a pistol comes out. Sometimes another guard with
an AK-47 comes out of the doorway soon after the first guy, if they do kill
them both and run up to the AK-47 that the recently exploded guard dropped.
If you've taken many hits, don't go into the warehouse yet. Instead heal
against the closest wall. Now walk into the warehouse and duck behind the
blue crate which is in front of you and to the right a bit.

When you're ducking behind the blue crate, you should see 2 guards, one
behind some boxes, the other near some more. Peek around the crate on the
left and kill the guard by the closest to you and the guard behind the
crate will duck. Use this time to walk up to the crate and wait for him to
get up. When he does, kill him. Wait awhile, heal yourself if you want, and
a guard with a Shotgun will come, kill him. Go against the left boxes (The
huge stack) and make it so you can see a guard come closer to you, kill him
by coming around the corner and go off the wall. Go back towards the
entrance and go right and go against the boxes so you can see around the
corner. There will be a guard on the stairs pretty far away. Shoot around
the corner (without moving) until another guard walks right into your bullets
and dies. Then kill the guard on the stairs by peeking around the corner.
Walk around the corner and activates a guard to come out of the left room,
kill him. If you want a Shotgun, enter the room where the guard on the stairs
was. If not, go towards the right side of the back wall and go through the
doorway to enter the main section of the warehouse. Don't worry about the
area where you first were; there's nothing else interesting. But if you need
to heal, do it before you continue.

In this area, quickly run over to the right side of the crate in front of you.
A guard wil walk by, so quicky auto-aim at him and kill him before he gets
behind the crates. If you don't cap him, just run around the corner while
auto-aiming and you should target him, and kill him. After going right around
that corner, put your back against the tall boxes. Jump out around the corner,
auto-aim and blast the guard standing there (Don't try to poke your gun out
and shoot him because the bullets won't hit him. They miss horribly). Go
around the nest left corner. A guard will pop out, quickly blast him before
he gets a shot off. All that noise attracts another guard approximatley 90
degrees to your right. Take him out then heal before going up the stairs which
are where the 2nd last guy you killed came from.

When you walk through the doorway, you hear some 2 guards talking. Go up
the first few steps to the platform on the stairs, and take out the poor
sucker at the top looking in another direction. Now continue up the stairs
and put your back against the wall on the left side of the doorway. You
can see 2 guards coming, jump out and blast them as fast as you can, then
run to their corpses and another guard approaches. Quickly blast him too.
You could also shoot the explosive barrels if the guards are near them if
you would like. Continue by following the hallway until you come to a
corner. Once again put your back to the wall and you should see a guard
patrolling the next hallway. Jump out and cap him when you get a chance
then you should see another guard through the doorway behind the guard
you just killed. Blast him, go to his corpse and you should see another
guard run by. It appears that he ran into the room to the left. Follow
him for a video, to beat the mission.

--------------------------
Mission 2: Burning Bridges
Difficulty: Easy
--------------------------
In the video, you wake up all bruised up in a Land Rover and you have a
Cell Phone. Charlie calls you and now you have to betray the Collins Gang
by destroying their place. For this mission, if you don't want the cops
to chase you, then drive carefully. Here are the directions to get to the
destination:

As you start, go out the gate and turn left
Take the next left too
At the end of this narrow road, turn right
Go through an intersection
Go past the road that comes from the right
Take the far left road at the next intersection which is extra large
Mind the roadblock
Turn right at the end of the road
Turn right again, and go over the large bridge
Stay left near the end of the bridge
Turn left when the next road comes up
Turn right at the next lights onto an un-official road
Go around the buildings and turn left at the next road
Follow this road around the bend
Go through the intesection
Turn right
Go through an intersection
Turn left at the next lights onto another small road
Turn right
Turn left
Turn left
Get out of your vehicle when you see a guy standing outside of a building
on the right, smoking by the door.

When you arrive at the destination get out of your car and there should
be a guard in front of the door, keep your distance, free-aim at him and
shoot him in the head and wait by the door for another guard to come up,
be ready and kill him. Now walk into the place and go against the wall
and poke out to the right and kill the 2 guards up the stairs and walk up
the stairs but not all the way to the top. Wait a bit and a guard from
the left room should come, kill him and free-aim through the glass at the
guard in the blue and shoot him in the head. Now do the same to the guard
with the Shotgun behind the bar. If you can't, just run into the room and
auto-aim at him and kill him. If you have taken many hits, take a rest
near a wall and continue by going right to some more stairs leading up.

A guard should come down, kill him and go up the stairs to find a room
with a guard sitting in a chair; free-aim and shot him in the head. 1 or
2 guards should come up to you, stay a bit away from the door, letting
them come to you and kill them. Then run into the room and aim down the
aisle and there should be 2 guards crouching down. It is best to free-aim
and shoot them to get them up then use manual aim. Something will make a
tiny explosion and it will soon cause a huge fire. Now go over to bar and
kill the guard with the Shotgun and run out of the room, down both stairs
and get in the red car. Now you have to shake the cops so just drive away
and staying away from the cops and you should beat the mission. If you
can't seem to do it, follow this path:

From in the red car the way it's automatically facing:

Go forward
Stay left around the fenced-off area
Turn left
Turn left
Keep driving down the road until your screen fades to black

---------------------------
Mission 3: Art Appreciation
Difficulty: Normal
---------------------------
After all the cutscenes are over you have to go grab a statue full of
drugs. When you can drive, go to the Art Museum. If you can't find it,
follow these directions:

Go through the intersection
Go throught 2 sets of lights
Through a fancy-looking intersection
Through the next lights
Through the intersection
Through the next 3 sets of lights
Through the intersection
Keep going, but stay right, then left, then right to avoid turning off
of this road
Turn left when you have to choose
Turn right
Follow the bendy road around to the left
Turn left into the fancy-looking property on your left
(Through the gate at the red brick wall)

Once you're out of your car take you gun out and shoot into the Museum.
Now some guards should come out (at least 4). Sometimes 5 will come.
Auto-aim at all the guards and kill them. Run into the Museum. If 4
guards came out already, then 1 more might but if you have killed 5 there
are no more. If you need to, take a rest to recharge your health then
continue by going up the stairs on either side.

Go near where you enter the next section of the room and there are 2
guards walking to your position, kill them and go and wait near the right
wall by the next room for the green guard to come out; when he does kill
him. 2 guards should come from the right, maybe before the green guard,
kill them and run into the room. There is a small crowd of people right
here and a guard might be behind them, if so, kill him and continue on by
going into the next room, go on the left side and the is a room with 3
guys in it, kill them and recharge your health if you need to. Continue
by going down the stairs and talking out the 2 guards there.
Sometimes there is only one guard. Continue down the stairs and to your
right there should be a guard there kill him and go through the doorway
and kill the guard on the stairs.

Go down the stairs close to the end and you should hear someone yell out
"Someone's on the set!" right around this corner there is a guard with a
Shotgun, go around and auto-aim at him and kill him fast. Sometimes you
may notice that there are less guards in some areas. So they might come
down these stairs and shoot at you; if so, kill them. Now in the next
room, many people have AK-47s so you should take a rest by a wall then
walk into the room and auto-aim at the guard behind the box, shoot the
box and auto-aim again to target the guard with an AK-47 from the right,
kill him, auto-aim back at the guard behind the box while he's crouching,
walk over to him and kill him. If you haven't already take the guards
AK-47 from the right. Now go against the wall and you can see 2 guards
down the hallway. After you go down the stairs to this area in the first
place, you can free-aim at the yellow guard and kill him with a few shots.

If not, it's ok. Now while you're against the wall, look out for the
enemies to come out and go back against the wall and stick your AK-47
around the wall by pressing Square and shoot the pipes and the guard on
the right should fall down. If you haven't already killed the yellow
guard on the left, just use left while against the wall, auto-aim at him
and kill him. Now more gaurds should come with AK-47s and Shotguns. Do
the same thing by going left while on the wall, auto-aim at each one of
them and kill them before they get close to you. Becuase if they get
close they can pistol whip or whack you with there guns, which inflicts a
lot of damage. After they are all dead just walk to where they were and
look to the right.

There is the statue, walk up to it and a cutscene should play. In the
cutscene they are wondering who you are and when you play they are after
you in their Gang Cars: Nissan Skylines and Honda Civics. So stay away
from these cars unless you want to steal them which is fun to do. YOU
however, are in a Volvo. For this next part, the Triads are more trouble
than the cops. Here are the driving directions:

Follow the dirt road around the left
Take the path to the right
Go out through the gate and turn right
Go around the bend
Stay right of the left turn lane coming up
Go forward until you're right in front of a building in front of you
Turn right
Turn left into the alley
Turn right at the next road
Turn left
Turn right and around this bendy road to the other side and keep going
around to the left
Turn right at the end of the road
Turn left then line up with the road across the intersection that is to
the right a bit
Go around the turn and keep going straight
Turn left at the end
Then right at the next turn
Turn left when you have to choose and keep going
Stay right at the fork in the road
Take the road to the far right at the other side of the big intersection
Turn left into the small alley
Now you're there.

------------------------------
Mission 4: Aiding and Abetting
Difficulty: Easy
------------------------------
After watching the video of Mark getting a bottle smashed at the back of
his head. You have a job to do. You have to drive "Eyebrows" to bust out
Charlie's relative, Jake Jolson, who's being transfered in a Police Van.

When you can play, get in the awesome custom Lexus LS430. And try not to
drive like a maniac because for this mission you do not want cops on you.
And you may notice the cops are being distracted and many cop cars are
destroyed. That's because this was planned so you can bust out Jake.
Here's the directions:

Let Eyebrows get in your ride then put the petal to the metal!
Turn right then stay right and take the second road on your right at
the big roundabout
Stay left and cut across the pavement, keep going straight
Go through the next lights then take advantage of the rather empty bus
lane
Go through the next lights and keep going through the intersection after
that
Take either side when the road divides, but a left is recommended
Take the right path when the road quickly divides again
Keep going through the next lights
Through the intersection
Take the next left that comes up

You're now behind the Police Van. The game automatically makes sure
you keep your distance, so no, your control is not broken

When you can go faster gas it! What you're gonna have to do is destroy
the van. Your car is invincible and can't be destroyed. But it is only
like this for this mission. Follow the van, try to get up beside it and
smash it to the right. A hit from behind will not do much at all so
either hit it from the side or get in front of it and slam your brakes
on. Ssmashing the van from the side causes the most damage.

Where the van goes incase you lose it:

Turn left and continue down this main road
Go through the horse statue intersection
Stay left through the next two lights
You should have busted the van by now. If not, go and practice the
first level, junior.

Keep raming the van and smoke should come out, ram it once or a few more
times and a cutscene will play.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Police Van flips over and "Eyebrows" gets out his AK-47 from the
trunk. He starts shooting at the Police Officers that came out of the van.
They are all idiots. They are just pathetic. It's like they're saying
"Please, kill me!" While "Eybrows" shoots at them, they are not trying to
get away or do anything, really. When all the cops are dead Jake climbs
out of the wrecked van and they see each other. Jake goes up to "Eyebrows"
at the trunk and they start talking. "Eyebrows" then takes a body with
the same jail uniform as Jake and puts him up by the wrecked van adding
"Final Touches" as he says.

"Eyebrows" then hands him a Grenade Launcher back at the trunk and he
shoots it at the van and starts chearing. Mark gets suspicious asks them
what the **** they are doing. Soon an unmarked Police Car (Vauxhall
Vectra). It is "The Filth" as Jake says and takes out an AK-47 and starts
shooting at him. "The Filth" trys to dodge the bullets in his car and
flips over. Now they get in the car and drive away and Mark and "The Filth"
see each other.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the video is over you have to go back to where you started in this
custom Lexus. But be careful of the cops; they're after you and there's
plenty of them. Here's the directions:

Watch out for the filth at the intersection but stay on this raod and
go right through the intersection
Dodge the very simple road block or ask your grandma to dodge it for you
Turn left at the next intersection
Stay right, right away after that left turn
Go through the next intersection and don't turn into the short alley
on your right, because it's a dead end
Keep going on this road
Through the next intersection
Turn right at the next intersection
Take the next left turn under the tunnel
Turn right when you have to choose
Turn left at the next road
If you feel like a lil fun, drive off the ramp on the left side of
this road
Follow the road around the bend
Take a left when you have to choose
Turn right and follow the curvy road till the next right turn.
At the A-type intersection, turn around and take the road on the other
side making you go the opposite way of the way you were just going, but
now you're on another road
Turn right at the next intersection
Turn right then left almost right away on the next road
Take the second right after the bridge
Take the next 3 rights and you're there.

----------------------------
Mission 5: Taxi for Mr. Chai
Difficulty: Easy
----------------------------
After watching a very gruesome video of Johnny Chai upstairs you are
going to try to find some clues. You are going to have to use stealth, by
sneaking around the warehouse to Charlie's Office. But before you play,
just to let you know, this is a stealth mission meaning you will fail the
mission if you kill someone with a gun, if you are spotted by someone
besides the first guy or if you make to much noise. But you can break
people's necks, just like Arnold Schwarzenegger does in almost every
single movie he's been in.

At the beginning there is a guard in front of you. Go up to him and break
his neck. Run into the section that he was blocking. But be careful and
always use stealth. Do not let anyone see you. Walk forward in this main
section of the warehouse until you see a guard standing there facing the
opposite direction, grab him and break his neck. Continue by going to the
left. There should be a guard in an orange coloured coat, go up from
behind him a break his neck; don't worry about the guard in the room near,
because he won't see you.

Now go into the stairwell to the right and go in the corner instead of
going up the stairs because a guard will come down and exit the area.
Continue up the stairs and go up against the wall so you can see what's
going on on the other side. Jake and 2 others are going somewhere else.
After they're gone, wait for the guard in the area to walk around the open
area and sneak up behind him and break his neck. Continue down the halway,
entering another room. Jake and other guards are in the room to the right.
Just sneak by, on the other side of the wall and they won't see you.

Go into the next room which is Charlie's office, and a cutscene will play.

Mark finds nothing and calls his friend. He just hangs up and Jake enters
the room, wondering why Mark was in here. He doesn't care much and tells
you your new job. You now have to deliver the body of Johnny Chai to the
Triads at there territory in the Honda Accord provided. Johnny Chai is
then put in the car, and you have to deliver him. Here are the directions:

Take a left out the front gates and take the second left
Follow the road to the end, then turn right
Go through the next intersection
At the roundabout, turn right and go ofer the long bridge
Stay left at the end of the bridge and take the first left
Take the next right onto the unofficial road
Take the next left
Follow the road, then at the intersection, go straight through it
Turn left
Take the small road to the right immediatley
Turn right when you have to choose, then another right immediatley
Drop off Mr. Chai.

--------------------------------
Mission 6: Out of the Frying Pan
Difficulty: Normal
--------------------------------
This is the other mission Jake told you about. Drive to the destination
carefully, not like a maniac, although it is fun. Here are the directions
to get to the next destination:

Turn right because left is blocked by the Triads
Take a left out of Chinatown
Take a left then a right immediatley after(almost like an S-turn)
When the road divides, take the far left path
Keep going over the pavement
Turn right at the next turn after the pavement
Turn left at the intersection and stay right
This time, stay right BOTH times when the road divides
After the road meets again, go through the next set of lights
Turn left at the next intersection
Take the second right which is at a decent-sized intersection
Drive over a few pavements
Turn left when you have to choose
Turn right at the next roundabout
Keep going till the next roundabout
Turn right then right again
Take the next left, then right, then left
Turn left and get out at "Durant and Taylor" which is on your right.
(A blue car is sticking out of the opening)

The first thing you should do is run up to the entrance and take the guard
hostage, and break his neck. Take his AK and run into the area. Find your
way to the bottom right corner of the area, which I think is the best
place to go. So when you come in the area, go to the right, by the
dumpster and let the Yardies and Traids kill each other for awhile, then
auto-aim at anyone near you and kill them. Next thing, free-aim with your
AK and kill the guards in the right and left window. Wait for some more
guards to come up to you and kill them. Then kill anyone in front of you
in the middle of this whole area.

Once it seems quiet and you've killed everyone, head forward and to the
left to find a small room with a guard with a Shotgun in it and kill him.
Once this is done, exit the whole area and make sure to pick up one of
the many AKs laying around (There's plenty more where that came from).
Outside of the area a cutscene will play with Mark on his phone. He has
another mission to do now.

--------------------------
Mission 7: Filthy Business
Difficulty: Hard
--------------------------
At the beginning of the mission turn to your right and run towards the
awesome green Honda Civic. Watch out for Yardies on the streets and
coppers. Here's the directions to get tot he next destination:

Once you're in the car:

Drive around the copper
Take a right at the end of this road
Mind the cop
On this road, also watch out for the wankers in the Yardie cars
At the end of the road, turn left
Keep going until the road ends
On the way, you will probably have to dodge the oncoming Yardie car
Take a left next to the building in front of you
After all the pylons, stay left and go around the roundabout to the other
side and keep going straight
Turn right and go around the bend
Take the first left and stay left
Turn right
Go through two intersections
Drive off the ramp to the right of the coppers' roadblock
Stay right and continue going right
Keep going until the road becomes a big intersection
Take a right down the main road
Go through two lights then stay left when the road divides
Go straight through the roundabout and through one of the 3 arches in the
big archway straight ahead and drive down this large pink road
When you reach the front of Buckingham Palace,(the next big intersection)
turn right and go down yet another large pink road
If you don't want to dodge cars, then drive in the dirt path to the right
At the roundabout, turn left, then left again
The van is just down this road on the right side
Don't worry about killing enemies that followed you this far, just get in
that van!

Mark has to go find the real van and kill the driver. Here are the
directions to find him:

When you start, pull a 180 degree turn and go down the road
Turn left
Turn left again
Take the next left, you're now in front of Buckingham Palace again
Go the opposite way that the Palace is facing, which is the same road you
came from earlier
At the roundabout, go straight through it to the other side
Turn left at the next lights
Don't take the immediate right, but tkae the far right
Stay right after the turn
Take the next left AFTER the road divides
Take a right
Go left around the pink building
Turn left onto the main road, then turn right immediately after that
Go throguh the small intersection
Stay left at the fenced-off area
Take the next left, then left again
The other van is on the side of the road to the right coming up
When you see him, drive head on into the sucker
He'll take off down the road the other way
Keep smashing his van until he gets out
Kill him for fun if you want, because all you need to do is make sure he
isn't the one who shows up to fix the phone lines at the Police Station;
your next destination - You don't have a gun, so you'll have to break his
neck
Keep going down this road until your left blinker flashes very fast
Take the left onto the Police Station road
Stop by the door, which is on the right, and go inside.

Once in the Police Station, a guard will be standing there, waiting for you.
He will guide you to a room, so follow him. If you know where the room
is, run there yourself because its a lot faster. Wait in the room until
he leaves then exit the room, turn right, then go down the right hallway
and left down the next to find the stairs on the right. Go up them and cut
through the "Intel Office", which is the first doorway on the right, to
the next hallway over. Then turn left and enter the "Evidence Room," which
is the only other door open in this hallway. Grab the Pistol on the floor
and holster it. Now walk outside the room and go against the wall in front
of you, strafe right and you should see McCormack with a fellow Officer.
If you strafe to the end of the wall, McCormack and his buddy will turn
around and walk the other way.

Note that it is impossible to kill McCormack at this point in time no matter
how many times you shoot/pistol whip him. However, you can damage him to a
degree that he limps and walks slow. So, for now just kill the rest of the
police officers. There are a few strategies once you get the gun. You can
use stealth and break a few necks, you can shoot up anything that moves or
you can just chase McCormack and only kill the Cops near him and heal a lot.
If you choose to shoot, you better auto-aim around every corner and heal
every time you get a chance. You only need to kill McCormack to beat the
mission, so I'll describe how to follow and finally kill him...

After McCormack and the other cop near him turn around and walk down the
hall, follow them but don't go to close and look around corners before going
around them. After they turn left around the corner, put your back up to the
wall and you'll see McCormack and the other Cop are now split up. Follow
McCormack into the room on the left at the end of the hall. You'll see a Cop
with his side to you. Quickly turn left in the room and walk to the wall.
Turn right and then look towards where the Cop was. Go up behind him and
break his neck. Go out the door to the left now. Make sure your gun is still
holstered. McCormack cuts through the room in front of you, but don't follow
him. Instead, follow the hallway to the left and put your back up against
the wall. You'll see McCormack walk out of the door and down the stairs you
came up. Follow him down the stairs and into the room where he turns around
and take out you Pistol(s) and start shooting him while running into the
room and try to whack him once or twice and he will fall to the ground.
Since you've defeated McCormack there is a video.

Now you will have to escape with Yasmin. A guard will come up to the door,
kill him and continue down the hallway and kill the guard at the end. Go
further down the hallway and take out the guard behind the wall and
another guard will run around the corner and will try to run into the
open room nearby, kill him before he does and continue running down the
hallway, turning left and you will see a smoke grenade fly through the
air and smoke will come out. Run to where it came from and use the
auto-aim to take out the 3 SWAT guards through the smoke, because they
can't see you. Continue down the hallway where you haven't been yet and
go right and you will see another smoke grenade fly and start to smoke.
Let the SWAT guards come up past the smoke so you can see them and take
them out. Get one of their MP5's and follow the hallway where they were.
If there are any more guards in the area, take them out. When you can, go
left and find the door to outside and look at the closing door moving.
Try to shoot the "Yellow Box" that Yasmin refers to and the door will
stop closing. Find a car in the parking lot and exit the area. If you
don't make the moving door stop, don't worry, there is an alternate exit.
Find the other open door outside and there should be an exit there.

If you break the control box, then go out the door. If not, go to the main
entrance, which is now open for you. From here, turn right, out the door,
and right at the next road. Get a car. Here are the directions to get to
the next destination from the back gate, which is where you should be:

From the back gate, go under the tunnel straight ahead
Turn left, then right at the intersection
Keep going until the road ends
Drive straight into the warehouse parking lot.

---------------------------
Mission 8: A Touch of Class
Difficulty: Normal
---------------------------

As you start, you find yourself looking at a fence. Go in reverse and go
out the entrance.

Here are the directions to get to the Destination:

Take the center road and keep going
Drive down the road until you reach the 3rd street on the right and take
it
At the end of the road, turn right
Continue through some stop lights and then an intersection
You'll now be going the wrong way
Go through 4 intersections then take a left under the tunnel
Continue down this short road(it turns right) and take another left at the
intersection
Take a right at a small alley-like road on the right
Continue to the end of the road and take a right and there will be another
road immediately on the left
On this road, get out of your car and enter the 3rd building on your left
with an open door.

Blast the guard standing in the doorway or simply whack him. Take some time
to admire the posters on the right wall, then head downstairs. Heal now if
you have to. Stop on the second landing and go into free-aim. A few
innocents may run out of the room, but don't waste ammo on them, even though
they deserve it. One guard should pop out behind a wall further into the
room. You might only be able to see his waist down, but you can shoot his
legs. Now walk down the rest of the stairs and go into free-aim again. Cap
the sucker who's standing behind a table. Heal if you have to. Now walk into
the room, and using free-aim again, get headshots on the guys standing in
the middle of the room, the far wall, and back by the bar to the left. The
room is clear for now. Go around the middle to the far side of the room.
A wanker will pop out - quickly book his funeral. Right after that, two more
nutters will come out near Layla. Run up to them to get better shots. Now
the bartender pops up - quickly end his alcohol-dispensing days. He drops an
AK-47. If it falls on the bar, you sadly won't be able to pick it up. If it
IS within reach, grab it and enter the room behind the bar. Cap this fella.
Now take the other door that's not behind the bar, into the washroom. If
there's two nutters in this room, then run in guns-a-blazing. However, if
you don't see anyone right away, look closer around the right corner. You
should see the side of someone sticking out. Just keep shooting until the
fool's dead because he's the last opposition left. Walk around the corner
to the right, and you're done.

Layla is dead. Mark is mad and fires off a few shots into the ceiling.
Yasmin puts on Layla's clothes and now she'll pretend to be her. Charlie

Turn left at the next street
Turn right
Turn left(you're now going the wrong way on a one-way street)
At the end of the road, turn left, then right.
Take the alley-like road ahead and turn left
Turn right and follow the road
Turn right onto the main road
Go through a few lights until you reach a fork in the road
Take a right at the fork
When a pavement approaches, drive straight over it
Go through the next intersection
Go through the next 2 lights
Turn left at the horse statue intersection
Turn right
Turn left under the tunnel
Turn left when you can
Turn right
Go around the funky roundabout to the other side and keep going
Stay on the left
Turn right, then left
Go through the intersection and the Yardie house is just down this road on
your left.

Take out any coppers that followed you before continuing. When you're ready,
head down the alley to the left of the Yardie crack house. When you have to
turn right in the alley, get ready to shoot. 2 Yardies are in the alley and
one comes out of the house. Kill them all and walk into the back door. Make
your way towards the front. The room to your right has one Yardie in it. If
you're quiet enough, you can catch him watching TV. Blast him. For fun, you
can shoot things like TVs and Record Players in this house, but Yarides can
come behind you from out of nowhere so check the area every once in awhile.
Once your done here, heal if you need to and then go up to the next floor.
In the room in front of you is one Yardie, and 3 more down the hall behind
you in the room where the music is being played. To the right of the top of
the stairs you just came up is a a hole in the wall. Go through it and a few
Yardies will pop out, even a few females. Blast them all including one that
will come out from behind you, then heal if you need to and go up the stairs.
3 more Yardies will be your next victims who are waiting in plain sight. The
third will actually come at once a few shots are fired. The first room on
the on the left has a few interesting posters in it, but no Yardies. Another
Yardie may come out of nowhere while you're checking out the posters so
watch out. Go to the end of the hall and to the right, through the hole in
the wall. Blast the 2 Yardies in the first room on the left. Mission
Complete, the money is yours. 300, 000.

Mission 10: A Cat in a Bag
Difficulty: Hard
--------------------------

As you start, a nutter Yardie runs up to you with a Baseball Bat. Try to
quickly whack him when he comes up to you or drop your precious AK-47 and
pump him full of pistol bullets. Anotehr Yardie is down the street with a
Shotgun. Pick him off with the AK if you want. Otherwise go for high-class
luxury and take the Lexus IS200 before the nutter coppers come. Get out of
there! Watch out for the approaching Yardie car and try to run down a few
Yardies or cops or anyone you feel like. Here are the directions to your
destination:

Drive across the intersection into the small one way road
Watch out for the idiot cops
Go through the intersection
Turn right then stay left
You'll be approaching the same funky circle that you saw in the last mission
Go right then stay right
Keep going straight on this raod until you get to the the end of the road
which should take approximately 1 minute
When the road ends, drive into the Depot in front of you

Mark will find a cat at he puts it in the bag, pretending it's the cash. He
then finds the Jake and 2 other guys. He throws them the Cat in the bag and
then runs into the warehouse.

When you start, you can see the 3 punks in the warehouse. Quickly put your
back to the boxes in front of you. Wait until the guy comes near you on the
right then unload your AK into him. It will take maybe the whole clip plus
a few pistol shots but he'll go down. The second guy will come from behind
right after the first guy is dead. A few pistol shots and his tombstone is
engraved. Heal on these boxes. Another guy will come from the left of the
boxes but it's not Jake. Cap him. Run out to near where the first 3 guys
were standing and to the right. Run out and kill who you can then go back
and heal. When you go back out, kill the 2 guys to teh left and the guy to
the right up on the catwalk. Go up the stairs and a few guys will shoot at
you from the right. Blast the crates in the middle of them to get rid of
them all (huge explosion). Go towards the other side of the warehouse. A guy
might pop out of nowhere so watch out. There's one guy standing on one of
the big shelves a at the back of the warehouse, get rid of him. To the right
of the big shelves, a guy with a Shotgun is hiding by some boxes, cap him.
A few more guys might pop out on your way back to the stairs so watchout. Go
up the stairs, across the balcony, in the door, down the stairs, through the
door to the left of the desk to the left, around the corner and into the
dark room. Don't go back into the warehouse.

----------------------------
Mission 11: The Prodigal Son
Difficulty: Very Hard
----------------------------

When you start, you don't have a gun, so let Yasmin take out the first few
nutters. Walk out the now open door in front of you, turn right then Yasmin
blasts 2 guards. Go grab their guns, then Yasmin also blasts the third guard
even though he surrenders. Walk through the door way he was blocking, turn
left and help Yasmin kill 3 more guys. Watch out for 2 more guys that will
come out from around the next corner. Kill them then steal the AK-47 that
one of them had. Heal if you need to. Walk up the stairs and turn right.
A few guys will be in your sights. There's two ahead of you and one to your
3 o' clock(45 degrees to the right) who has an AK-47. Kill them with the AK
you picked. Quickly blast the the next 2 guys that will come from where the
first two were. 3 more guys come from your right, but sometimes they come
out from the big boxes to your right or from behind you so search there too.
Either way, One has a Shotgun, so try to kill him first. When they're all
dead, you've probably ran out of AK-47 ammo, so steal the other AK or the
Shotgun, whatever you want. I recommended the AK-47. Heal if you need to.
There's usually a few guys that seem to come out of nowhere, so have
auto-aim ready. Run into the next section of the warehouse. There's 4 guys
near the door to your left and 3 behind some boxes. Use any AK ammo you can
find and kill them all. The Shotgun from the previous room can come in handy
at this part. There's also a guy standing just in the doorway at the top of
the mini staircase that leads to the back entrance. Blast him, or whack him
if you want, and go up where he lies on the floor. Around the corner to the
right, another guy is waiting with a Shotgun. Blast him then, quickly make a
choice between the Lexus or the Saab then get moving. Here are the
directions to get to the next destination:

Turn right out the gate
Keep going till you reach a large intersection where you have to make a
choice which way to turn
Take the 9 o' clock route(45 degrees to the left)
Turn right at the end of the road
Take another right onto the bridge that goes to the other side of the city
Turn left at the first chance you get
When a fork in the raod approaches, take the right path
Go through the complicated intersection and take the road in front of you
Turn left onto the pink-colored road
Drive through the park to the other side
Get back on a one way road.
A Triad Civic or Skyline might be on this road, so be ready to dodge it or
kill them and steal it if you need a fast or new car
Go through the intersection then go left or right up onto either sidewalk
because the road is packed with traffic
If you saw another Triad car back at the intersection, the passenger should
be shooting at you by now, evade the car, or just cap 'em
Get off the sidewalk now and back onto the road
Take the right path around the building that divides the road
Merge onto another road then take a right when you have to make a choice
of which way to turn
Now turn left onto the next road
Turn right when the next right turn comes up
Take the first left on this road
Drive through the intersection then keep going until another road comes up
Stay right and dodge any cops that might be near you
Keep going straight then through an intersection
Get out when your car's lights flash
Follow Yasmin after wasting any cops that followed you

Walk down the stairs and into the basement. Yasmin tells Mark about the
amazing security of this place and she's not kidding. The house is full of
lasers and if you trip one off, poisonous gas fills the air. Yasmin stops.
The hallway after where she stops has lasers that activate when you walk
into the hallway. Simply put your back up against the wall on wither wall,
and shimmy past the lasers. When you get past them, they deactivate, letting
Yasmin folow you. Go into the next door on your left and quickly run behind
the counter and whack the nutter with the butcher knife before he uses it on
you. You can easily whack him before he gets a chance to use his weapon.
Now go out the only other door out of this room. If you were fast and or
quiet enough, there may be 2 wankers to the right. If they're there run out
and auto-aim at them and get rid of them. If they aren't here then go
towards the wall to your right when you exit the kitchen and turn left
through the archway. Go through this cellar and there should be 4 guys here
if there weren't any back there. If there were 2 back there, then theres
only 2 more here. Use the same run around the corner and auto-aim strategy
to book these punks' funerals. One has a shotgun and the other has dual
pistols. Keep going and you find another laser roadblock at the foot of a
staircase. If you want the lasers turned off quicker, when a bad guy sees
you from upstairs hide out of sight so he'll come down the stairs too look
for you, deactivating the lasers on his way. If you just want to cap them
as they come, just auto-aim and blast at anything that moves up there.
When you kill all 3 of them, put your back to the wall on the left and
shimmy past the lassrs. When you take your back off the wall, the lasers
deactivate. Go up the stairs and pull a 180 degree turn to the right. Go
in the garage and note the sweet purple TVR parked in it. It doesn't have
much use now, but remember this garage, you can come back later and boost
the beauty. When you're done gawking and testing out the car in the limited
space you have, stop just before going out the doorway into an open area.
heal if you need to, then manual-aim at the guy's head which is poking up
behind the skylight to the right which is about 2 or 3 feet off the ground,
then run out towards the skylight and keep pressing auto-aim until your guns
aim up at the nutter on a balcony one floor up. Dual pistols work well. Kill
him then head into the dining room under him. Lasers activate behind you.
Go out the door to the left and a set of lasers activate to your immediate
right. You have to roll under them. Set it up so you have a forward roll
under the lasers. You might think that you'll need to roll early, but the
lasers are pretty forgiving and don't set off gas if a tiny part of Mark's
head passes through the bottom laser. Get used to rolling under lasers
because more of these are coming up. You should start your roll when you
are around one shotgun length away from the lasers. Head over to the right
of the staircase, around the corner. Run in front of the doorway to your
right and auto-aim at the poor sucker who doesn't even see you coming.
Blow him away or just whack him then look over at the staircase. A nutter
will be coming down the stairs but he strangely won't shoot at you until
he reaches the bottom of the staircase. If you want, you can take your time
for fun, or you could just quickly end his life and his stair-descending
days with a blast of bullets. When you get to the top of the stairs, lasers
activate, blocking your path. Turn right and go through the doorway. That
door gets blocked, so Yasmin can't follow you now. Go through the big door
opening and turn left. Roll under the lasers going across the room that
are right over two chairs that are beside each other. Face to the right.
You have to roll under the laser near the wall and to the left of the table
with the vase on it. Roll under the laser, and quickly press your nack to
the wall. It can automatically do it for you though. Shimmy past these
lasers then get off the wall. Go around the coffee table and out of the
room. The lasers deactivate. A guy or two comes from downstairs and a guy to
the right comes from upstairs. Waste them all with an AK if you picked one
up, and Yasmine will help you. Note that they have masks in case you set off
the gas. You'll die, and they won't. There are some safe spots though when
the gas is set off. See the hints and tips section for more deatils. When
they're dead, go upstairs. Lasers activate again. Take a right into
Charlie's billiard room then STOP! Lasers activate all around you, including
a set right infront of you. Turn right and you'll see that you can put your
back up against the wall and shimmy past the first few lasers. Do it then
get off the wall carefully. Now you have to roll under the next horizontal
laser. If you have gotten used to rolling by now, it'll be easy. Just makes
sure you time it right and when positioning yourself, don't walk into other
lasers. Now pull a 180 degree turn to the left. Now you have to roll BACK
under the same laser but on the other side of the pool table. Roll under it
then go into the next room. This one looks very hard but it can be easy. What
you have to do is to roll under the horizontal alser WHILE staying between
the couch and the vertical laser. Line up your slef your roll and make sure
not to hug the couch too much or else you'll get up under the horizontal
laser and set it off. Basically, you should be holding forward during the
whole roll, and don't turn. When you clear this trap, end the lives of the
punks that come from up and down the stairs, and let Yasmin help, but
remember not to leave her to do everything by herself, because she can't
heal like you can, and if she dies, it's just as if YOU died, the game
doesn't care. When they're dead, take the AK and head upstairs. Lasers
activate again. This time, turn 180 degrees to the right and go through the
doorway down the mini-hall. Walk into the room slowly. When the lasers
activate, STOP! Now roll under the lasers in front of you, there's enough
room. Roll under the other side, and the lasers deactivate. Enter the
bathroom and quickly blast the loner in there. Enter the next room and roll
under the lasers in front of you. Stay away from the lasers, but you might
need to walk close to them to get by here. When you get to the other side of
the room, roll under the lasers and out of the room. The lasers deactivate.
There are two nutters to the right beside you. Yasmin will help you take
them out. Heal if you need to then head upstairs. walk into the room in
front of you and a video starts.

Mark is uber mad now.

-------------------------------
Mission 12: Aboard The Sol Vita
Difficulty: Very Hard
-------------------------------
Yasmin wants a fast car, huh? Go back into the house and steal the TVR from
the garage that is mentioned in mission 11. When you get in it, the garage
door opens. Wait for Yasmin to enter the car and head to the next destination.
Here are the directions to get there:

From the garage, turn right, into oncoming traffic
At the end of the road, turn right again
Go through the intersection and follow the road until it turns right and
comes to a bigger road
Turn left and stay left to avoid some turnouts
Go left at the end of the road
Turn right and then left and continue down this massive pink road until the
end
Go around this roundabout and stay left on the grassy area
Take this short road, then turn left and stay on the sand strip in the
middle to avoid traffic
Note the position of the armored car to the right
Go throguh the lights and continue past Big Ben (The very tall clock tower)
Go through the next lights and keep going over the bridge
Turn left and stay left
Go left around the roundabout and take the 2nd left (The road after the
bridge)
Go through the intersection and keep going until you go under an overhead
bridge
Stay left at the intersection then take the next 90 degree right turn
Go through the intersection
After the mini-tunnel, turn right
Turn left then right
Turn left through the pylons then get out of your car and go through the
alley on the left
Run through the broken fence then go towards the 3 vans
Take the shortcut between the end of the yellow guardrail to the right and
the small cement wall

When you get on the ship, turn left and kill the last few survivors around
the right corner then head back to the stairs. You should see another gang
member or two come out from around the corner at the other side of the ship.
Finish them off then go around the corner where they came from and the next
corner, looking for any last nutters that want to be killed on your way.
When they're all dead, a few more guys just might come out of nowhere, so
kill them too if they do. Otherwise, go past the destroyed forklift truck
(the coolest vehicle in the game) and up the small set of stairs ahead of
you. Follow Yasmin. Heal now if you need to. When you get near the corner,
2 guys come around it, but Yasmin will probably be in the way, so it's
better to stay right before the little set of stairs, then free-aim at
the corner, then take out the 2 guys as Yasmin approaches them. Run around
the corner and press auto-aim, blast the 2 guys down the walkway, get
their guns if you want, then enter the door on the left. Yasmin will be
standing there. Sometimes there will be a guy around the left corner
standing there and you can see his side. Blast him if he's there. If not,
then go down the stairs in front of you. Heal if you have to on this ledge
before going down the next stairs. You might get shot once by a cheap guy
through the next doorway on the floor below. Forget about it for now,
because he ran away. Go down the next stairs and press auto-aim. 2 guys
will come out of hiding from the right, don't be standing near the pipes
behind you in the fire fight or you'll die real fast. Kill these 2 guys,
then head out the door. Turn to the right and free-aim at the stack of
yellow gas barrels. Blow them up then quickly run back into the room you
were just in. Set it up so you can quickly target anyone that comes in
the door. 4 guys should come - Kill 'em all, then heal before going back
out the door. After going through the door again, a guy should come
around one of the corners to the left, then blow up the yellow gas
barrels on the left side now. Turn right around the corner and blast the
3 guys that'll come around the next turn (2 then 1 = 3). Go around the
corner those 3 came from and auto-aim at the nutter with the Shotgun on
the ledge above. 2 more guys should now reveal themselves. One is to the
left of you, then the other comes from the path where you just killed the
nutter with the Shotgun, but this guy is on ground level. Book both their
funerals then make your way to where the 2nd guy's corpse is now. Turn
right and cap the next guy who has a Shotgun. Now turn the other way, and
walk with you pistol, free-aim at the 3 heads that you can see poking out
farther down the path. If you don't kill them with headshots, they might
come out guns-a-blazing. Either way, kill them all, steal their weapons
if you want, heal if you need to, and enter the open door on your left.
An AK-47 would come in handy here. When you walk through the door, STOP.
Free-aim your pistol or AK up to the left and blast the 2 idiots up there.
Now be aware that there is a crane operator(Harry) at the far end of this
room(to the right) but you can't kill him yet. He is the one who is trying
to drop a large crate on you. It beeps a few times to let you know it's
gonna fall, then it falls fast. Don't get squashed under it. When navigating
through the boxes, you might find a guy around somewhere or else he is
waiting somewhere else. Kill him if you see him. Stay left when walking
down the path between the boxes. Take the second left then go left again.
If you didn't see I guy yet that I just talked about, then he should be to
your left - Blast him and heal if you need to. Then go up the stairs in
front of you. When you get near the top, someone will start shooting at
you. It's the crane operator at the other side of the room. Auto-aim at
him but don't shoot; you can't kill him from here, so don't waste ammo.
Make your way across the platform and quickly cap the guy who comes
through the doorway on the left. Go through the doorway in front of you,
and down the stairs. Be ready to shoot; 2 guys will come out from hiding.
One way down the path and the other, from the door in front of you on your
right. Auto-aim at the one in front of you, and it might be better to
free-aim at the other who's far away. When they're dead, 2 more guys come
from behind you. Blast them. Stand lookign into the door on the right, but
don't go in yet. Wait until the guy driving the Forklift drives into sight
then shoot the red explosive barrel on the back of the Forklift. He's
history. Run in and stay right but turn left. Make your way towards the
other wall. Blast the guy holding a Shotgun and run under the platform that
the crane operator (Harry) is standing on. Heal first if you need to, then
make you way to the stairs that lead up to the platform. Run up the stairs.
Harry will get a few cheap shots of off you, then he'll come towards you.
Whack him a few times then pick up his Sawed-Off Shotgun.(you don't get to
use it sadly) A video will then start.

Mark, Yasmin, Frank, Charlie, Alex (Mark's son), Nick Collins, and many more
are in the room. Nick decides to let Hammond go because of his wife, Sousie.
Mark, Yasmin and Alex then get off the ship and it blows up.

CONGRATULATIONS, you made it this far. Now play the game's other 12 missions
as D.C. Frank Carter of the Metropolitan Police armed robbery prevention
Flying Squad unit; London's finest.

13. STORYLINE
*************************

You are Frank Carter of the Flying Squad, a cop on a mission. His luck
is almost as bad as Hammond's so you'll have to help him out to get the
job done. Carter works alone after an unfortunate accident, which means
his missions can be harder than Hammond's(Mark has Yasmin) but don't
forget that Police do not care what you steal, destroy or kill. However,
the local gangs still want you dead, so be careful out there.

Frank Carter Missions
---------------------
[ Note: ] ---------------------------------------------------------------
You can replay missions whenever you want. In every mission there is a
beginning video which is mostly very long so be patient. In each mission
there are 1, 2 or 3 parts in it. Once you do one, it is like a checkpoint;
if you die or fail you will start at the beginning of the checkpoint. But
if you get to the second part in a mission and turn it off the checkpoint
is lost and you will have to play from the beginning again.

[ Rating Note: ] --------------------------------------------------------
Some missions are very easy, others are either or very hard or inbetween.
Some missions are almost impossible for some people. Here are the
following difficulties that will be used for each mission:
Very Easy
Easy
Normal
Hard
Very Hard
Insane

----------------------------
Mission 13: Bargain Basement
Difficulty: Easy
----------------------------
When you can play, pull out your pistol and follow Joe. When he gets in
the building he goes right and tells you to go left. Listen to him. 2
guys are around the corner just standing there. When they see you, they
might surrender but they're still blocking your way, so whack them and
keep going. When a hallway on the left approaches, a stogun blast will
destroy the wall. Stop and auto-aim at him and blow him away for scaring
you like that. Go "borrow" his shotgun. If you don't want it, then turn
right and kill 2 guys on the ground level and one through the busted
floor above you. What happened to the floor anyway? Go up the stairs and
kill the guy to your immediate right then another guy comes out of the
room on your left. Blow him away. Put your back against the wall to the
right of the busted floor and shimmy along past the hole. Get off the
wall and go left. Two guys are in this hallway; one surrenders. Blast
the first guy then the second guy if you want, otherwise just whack the
punk. Go into the room on your right and cap the guy in the room. Go back
to the hall and continue down it. 2 guys appear and again, one surrenders.
Kill them and another guy will blast a hole in the wall on the left side.
Drop him, then take his gun if you want. If not, then continue down the
hall and take a left. Shimmy past the next hole in the floor, then turn
right. DON'T SHOOT! It's only Joe, but he's wounded. Go up the stairs
like Joe says, and turn right and pop the 2 suckers at the corner. Now
the SWAT team is here to back you up. Hurray for being a cop. Heal now
if you need to. Around the next corner at the end of the hall, there's
3 guys. 2 of them are in the open, and the other hides behind a table.
Pop out and try to kill at least one of them the run back and let your
backup kill the rest of them with their MP5's. The guy that hides behind
the table might still be alive so run out and look behind the table.
Blast him if he's there. Now follow your backup and kill anyone that
they miss. Now you meet up with a few more SWAT members. When 2 of them
fall through the floor, shimmy past the hole and follow these 2 SWAT
members. They arrest Jake Jolson, boo yeah!

Now you have to drive Joe to the hospital, QUICKLY! When you can play,
get in the cop car ahead of you and let Joe in too. Here are the
directions to get to the hospital:

Turn left then right
Take the next 2 right turns
Go through the next 5 interesections
Go around the underground road entrance
Take the next 2 right turns
Drive up to the hospital and your screen turns black

-----------------------------
Mission 14: Show Some Remorse
Difficulty: Normal
-----------------------------
When you take control, you have to drive. Here are the directions
to get to the next destination:

Go out the gate to the left of you
Turn right
Keep going till you can turn right again
Turn left at the roundabout
Keep going till you have to turn
Turn left then right
Go over the pavement and under the tunnel
Go left then right onto the bridge
It's packed with cars so don't drive crazy here
Turn left when you can
Turn left into the now open gate
Stay left and keep going till you see a small gate on your right
Get out of the car and go through the gate

There's 4 Yardies talking just inside the gate. Run in and cap them all.
Be aware that there are other Yardies up on crates around this area,
including one right beside you up on the crates, so be careful especially
when you choose a spot to heal. Back up a bit so you can see him then kill
him but you can't get his AK. You might encounter a few guys who seem to
come out of nowhere, so be warned. In this storage yard, there are cranes
driving back and forth that you must avoid while navigating this area.
If you get run down, you'll start from the gate. Take the first small
passage on you left after you turned right when you killed the 4 Yardies
at the gate. Turn left again and run to the back crates in the open area.
Go around the crates to the far side and go down the far left passageway.
Turn left, then run through the next 2 passageways in front of you. Turn
right, go through the passageway on your left, turn left, go through the
passageway on your right. Turn right and run to the end of this passageway.
Kill the 2 guys who are up on crates. At the giant spools, turn left. Run
around the corner and if you see anyone, blast them. There are more Yardies
around this area, but depending on how fast you got here, they might be
right around the corner or farther away on their patrols. Heal now if you
need to. Go around this area hunting down anything that moves, making your
way to the other side. When you see trailers and some white vans, head
towards them. The vans drive away when you enter the parking lot. Use
auto-aim to blast any Yardies that put up a fight. Now you get SWAT backup
once again. Make your way to the vans which only drove behind the trailers
on the other side of the parking lot. If any of the SWAT guys die, steal
their MP5's! Blast the last few Yardies around the vans then Frank tells
them to get "Out'ta the car!". Mission Complete!

-------------------------------
Mission 15: Disturbance in Soho
Difficulty: Normal
-------------------------------
You have a time limit, so get a move on! Here are the directions to get
to the next destination:

When you start, turn right out of the gate
Go through the next intersection
When the road ends, turn right and over the bridge
Turn left at the next turn
Go through the next 4 lights
Go through the next intersection
Go through the next set of lights
Stay left when a fork in the road comes up
Go either way around the second fork in the road
Turn right after the second fork in the road
Turn left
When you have to turn, turn left
Stay right at the next fork in the road
Turn left, then right
Turn left
The next left is blocked, so take the second left
Turn left when you have to turn
Turn left again

A good idea at this point, is to steal an Ambulance(but NOT a Firetruck
becuase it's slower) and drive through the smoke while running down any
bad guy that you can. Don't hit any vehicles though, because they'll
slow you down, allowing enemies to bust up your ride easily. Stay on the
sidewalk when going past them. When you get to the other end of the road,
pull a skid to the left and get out of the busted-up Ambulance. Kill any
bad guys that you can see then steal any AK-47 that they might have
dropped. Now make your way back through the smoke after healing yourself.
Use the AK if you got one, and blast the rest of the bad guys while
making your way back to where you "borrowed" the Ambulance. If you need
ammo, use the guns that the bad guys or killed you ran over dropped.
If you run low on health, grab one of the many Lexus' around here and
try to run down the last few nutters. When they're all dead, the mission
is complete.

---------------------------------
Mission 16: Painting the Town Red
Difficulty: Very Hard
---------------------------------
For the first part of this mission, the Triads and Collins' Gang Cars
will be on your tail, so be aware!

When you take control of the car, here are the directions to get to the
destination:

Take a left at the cop car
Take the next left to the main road
Turn left after the cop road block
Keep going till you get to the large intersection, (The 6th intersection)
Take the 4th left, and stay right at the fork
Turn left
Go through the lights
Turn right
turn left
You're now at Chinatown

What you have to do here, is kill all the Yardies and Triads. Since where
they are is pretty much random, you have to do this one by yourself. It's
not very hard if you take your time. When you first get to the area, try to
run down any nutters near you. If you drive into the area, don't go past the
char-broiled police car or your car will quickly mimick the police car after
being shot up by gang members. Get out by the burnt cop car and kill anyone
that followed you here and anyone around you in your immediate area around
you first. Heal now if you need to. It's hard to find a spot to heal on the
right side, so look for a doorway or just heal on the left side by the Triad
restaurant. Don't pick up any shotguns, but do take the AK's or use dual
pistols. Slowly pick off the rest of the criminals one by one as you advance
down the road. When you get to the end, a couple of Yardie cars come; one
goes down into the carpark ahead. Blast the Yardies that get out of the car
near you. Backup now arrives; a few cops for now, but the SWAT team will
come soon. Take out the last few guys guarding the car park entrance, then
make your way down into the carpark. Note that there are some Yardies using
Molotov Cocktails down here, which will kill you if the flame hits you. You
can't get any yourself though, which is too bad. When the curving decent
ends, you'll quickly find another shootout going on down here. If you have
an AK, run out and blast as many wankers as you can. Use all the ammo if
you need to. Now use your dual pistols and hide behind the two burnt cars
further down. Make your way to the right side of the burnt Honda Civic,
then pop out and murder the last guys who didn't run down to the next
level yet. Heal now if you need to, then head down to the next level.
When you go down, look at the ground. Notice the "Exit" letters printed
on the ground, but upside down. Stop on the "E" in the word "Exit" and
auto-aim at the lone gunman in the corner. Kill him, then run out to the
left. Behind you, a burnt Renault blocks the path. A few triads should
be to your left beside another burnt Renault. Blast them, then using
dual pistols, advance towards the nearest car using auto-aim. There are
3 punks hiding behind the car and a couple to the right hiding behind a
pllar. Pull the trigger on all of them and then a Yardie car comes up
from the lower level and crashes, making vents from the roof fall down
which block your path. Forget about the Yardies who get out of the car.
Look for an open door on the left side and use it to decend to the next
floor. Stop just inside of the doorway to the next area and use free-aim
to blast a few Yardies to your right. Now run out to the left and cap
the two triads standing there then quickly turn left again and heal on
the wall if you need to. The SWAT team now comes and they quickly engrave
tombstones of the Yardies to the right. When you're done healing, get in
the black Skyline that's parked, and head down to the next level. Turn
left and run down as many Triads as you can while driving towards the
wall at the end. When you get to the end, turn left up to the level you
were just on. Ditch the car, then go back down to check out the damage.
Drop any last Triads then head down to the next level. No one is in
sight, so go down another level. A guy runs out from the right. Cap him
and quickly with an Ak or MP5 that you may have stolen or whatever
weapon you have. Now go left and murder anyone that is on your side of
the roadblock of cars, then hide in a safe-spot on the left. Heal here
if you need to. You need all your health. Kill a few guys or however
many you can, until your health is low, then heal again in the safe-spot
before you start to limp. Now stand by the car nearest to you and using
dual pistols, blow away the rest of the Triads. A couple of cops come
out from the otherside and try to help you, but they only have pistols,
so they'll probably die trying. When all the Triads are put to sleep,
the mission is complete.

-----------------------
Mission 17: Escort Duty
Difficulty: Very Easy
-----------------------
You're now escorting a police van with Jake in it, and a Range Rover
smashes one of the cop cars, then takes off. You have to stop the Range
Rover. Here are the directions it goes incase you lose it:

Take a right onto the Police Station road, then a right at the end of
the road. He goes down this road, through the intersection and under the
tunnel. You should have crashed the Range Rover by the time a fork in the
road comes up. Don't let it get to the right of the fork. when it's
busted, you have to head back to the police van. From the fork, here are
the directions:

Take a left at the fork
Turn left
Turn left again at the roundabout
Turn right at the 5th interesction
Turn left at the intersection on this road
Take the 2nd left
Turn right at the intersection, and a video starts

The mission is complete.

---------------------------------
Mission 18: The Vigilante
Difficulty: Very Hard
---------------------------------
When you start, you have a Volvo with a sort of smashed left rear light.
Here are the directions to get to the next destination:

Exit the area
Turn right
Keep going until you reach the tunnel then go through it
Stay in the left lane and use the sidewalk in you need to avoicd traffic
When you have to turn go left
Take the right lane ahead and stay right
Keep going down this road until you see a yardie wearing a white and
blue shirt with green pants who is guarding an alley entrance on the left
which may be hard to spot, so you could just look for an alley

Get out of your vehicle and eliminate the Yardie then another Yardie
might come. If not, continue down the alley till you come to him. Put
him in the history books and keep going to where the alley bends.
You can see two Yardie guards standing in front of a doorway.
Pump their guts full of lead. You might hit some propane tanks
behind them resulting in an explosion which will send them flying.
If you don't know about any propane tanks, then look for them and
shoot them when you go around the corner. Head for the entrance and kill
the nutter. Enter the house and go down the hallway. Go up the stairs
and blast the Yardie on the left and the same with the wanker that
comes out of the room. Heal on the wall and 2 more tossers should come
out and shoot at you. Cap them and finish your healing if you need to.
Go steal the AK that one of them dropped when you capped them. When
you're fully healed, enter the main room on this floor and murder the
2 Yardies near the back wall with your new AK. Now blast the sucker
behind the boxes who is playing the music. Try not to destroy any
speakers or equipment because the music will stop if you do. It's
probably the best music in the game and it's pretty cool to leave on.
Over by the big screen TV, you'll find a PS2 standing vertical with a
controller plugged in. Maybe these Yardies were playing The Getaway
earlier. Heal anywhere in this room if you need to, then go back to
the hallway and go up to the next floor when you're done healing.
Go to the door, but not into the room, listening to the person
talking, and blast the fool in front of you in the next row, which
may set some lab equipment on fire and an explosion. A Yardie with
an AK should come to the entrance. If so, whack him. If you get
whacked first by him or you just need to heal, then go back down the
stairs and heal on that floor. When you go back into the drug making
room, try to shoot some of the lab equipment first to make some
explosions. After some explosions occur, go into the room and drop
any survivors. There are Yardies in the next room, but just run in
to the room and you'll beat the mission. Kill them for added
difficulty.

---------------------------------
Mission 19: Stalking McCormack
Difficulty: Extreme
---------------------------------
This level is ranked extreme because you have to do so much, lots of
driving and stealth, which makes it on of the hardest missions. After
the video, exit this room into the larger room. Exit this room to the
stairs and blast the Yardie by the open door. Carter told Ryan and
Aeris to take the rear entrance(the alley) because there's a gang war
happening out the front and some punks may walk by the front door and
try to kill you or your friends. You don't want them to die so stand
by the door for a while and pick off a few yardies with your gun.
There should be one in front of you and 2 on the left side. When all
their funerals are booked, take the right hallway back out to the
alley. ryan and Aeris walk pretty slow so don't go too far ahead of
them and make sure no one else got through the gang war door after
you leave, because if someone does, they'll cap Ryan and/or Aeris,
failing your mission. If you need to heal now, just wait a bit longer
because now isn't such a good time. Now go out into the back alley
where you came from in the previous mission, and past the security
camera, which does nothing. Go to the right and blast these 2
Yardies, one has a shotgun. Take it of you want. Keep going down the
alley and you'll see a Yardie car drive to the end of the alley and
stop. There should also be a few cops around, which should distract
the Yardies while you cap them from behind. Make sure Ryan and Aeris
are still behind you then get in the Yardie car that just parked
there. Ryan and Aeris will be okay if you leave them at the end of
the alley. Here are the directions to get to the next destination:

Pull a 180 degree turn so you're now going the opposite way that
the Yardie car was facing
Turn left when you get to the main road
Take the next right turn
Keep going under the tunnel
Go through the intersection
Drive down this road a bit and your car will automatically slow down

You have to follow McCormack and keep your distance while doing it.
If you get too close, your lights will flash(4-way flashers).
McCormack is in a small red car and you can see him drive out of the
police station parking lot just ahead. Here are the directions he
takes to his destination:

Turn right at the end of the road
Turn left
Turn right at the roundabout, but McCormack obeys traffic and goes
around it
Turn right at the 3rd set of lights
Go through the next intersection
Keep going until the road forces you to turn left at the mega-huge
roundabout and follow the turn
Stay in the farthest right lane and go around 2 bends
Turn right at the next lights
Take the next left
Turn left again
Turn right at the next intersection
This is the road with the destination on it
Keep following McCormack on this road until he turns into the depot
parking lot on the left

You'll see him standing beside his red car. You have to go up to a
certain distance to him before he will go into the depot or even
move. Slowly go towards him, he won't even see you. If you try to
trash his car, even after waiting for a long time after he goes
into the depot, you'll fail the mission. However, you can steal
his car and drive out of the depot parking lot then do whatever
you want to it and not fail. :D It's suprisingly fun to trash that
tosser's car. You can crash into other cars until the car becomes
a burning wreck, which is extremely fun in a revenge sort of way.
When you're done wrecking McCormack's ride, go into the depot and
through the doorway on the left. Stay beside the door on your
right. McCormack and another nutter start talking. You can go into
the room without being seen, but don't go closer than around 6 feet
to where they're standing. Follow them until they go around the
brick wall. Stop at the end and put your back to the brick wall.
Another conversation starts. When they're done, go around the wall
and turn left. Stay out of sight when the a nutter goes to get the
car ready. Make your way to the back of the warehouse, staying near
the left wall. Run into the back left corner and climb the ladder
onto the shelves. McCormack won't see you. When you're up there,
McCormack leaves. Now go down the stairs and to the otherside of
the warehouse, staying on the left side. McCormack goes up the
stairs and enters a room. The door closes. Go up the stairs and a
video starts.

McCormack is on the phone telling hired killers where Carter's
partner, Joe, is in the hospital so they can kill him. You have
to save Joe. When you start, turn left and steal the white Lexus.
From the front gates, here are the directions to get to the
hospital:

Turn right
Keep going until you see a part of the road goes under the ground
but stop before you get to it
Take the left turn before it, which has red and white cement
barriers against the wall; hard to miss
Take the next right
Then on the right side, there's stairs that go up

Get out of you car, and go up the stairs. When you get inside the
hospital, go up the stairs to the "1st" floor. Joe is still another
floor up, on the "2nd" floor. Turn right and go across the bridge.
Go down this hall to the end, and take the stairs to the "2nd"
floor. Run towards the guard, and turn right into the room before
the guard.

---------------------------------
Mission 20: Do the World a Favour
Difficulty: Hard
---------------------------------
When you can play, walk out the door and hold auto-aim. Blast the
nutter right beside you (The guy in the room to the left), then
advance down the hall while blasting way at the next few guys. Heal
after you kill then all, then make your way to the bridge, there's
a guy waiting for you with a Shotgun. Cap him, then head down the
stairs. My advice is to not pick up the Shotgun. There are 2 guys
waiting for you here. Blast away at them with your dual Pistols,
then turn right and go across the bridge and go down the hall. Heal
if you need to. Make your way down this hall checkign every room as
you go. If you get shot at too much, heal inside one of the patient
rooms then head out and kill the rest of the wankers. When you've
checked every room, head back towards the stairs, or go back
upstairs and perform one last check of the floor. When you get to
the stairs, turn right and go in the big room. A guy with an AK runs
out of a room. Blow him away then go into the room he came out of on
the right. Heal first if you need to. There's a fat guy with body
armor in this room. He's the same guy from mission 19 and he takes a
lot of bullets before he goes down - A full AK clip, and some Pistol
bullets should do the job. Beware that whacking him does nothing at
all. I've whacked him 20 or 30 times and nothing happens; he also
gets to whack you and it inflicts a lot of damage. Run into the room
with the AK you just picked up and shoot at the fat guy using short
bursts so you don't run out of ammo too fast. After a bit, he turns
towards the door and tries to get away. You'll probably use up all
the AK ammo before he dies. Keep blasting him with your Pistols
until he finally dies. Heal now, then head downstairs. If the cops
tell you there are still more guys upstairs, then go up and check
all the floors and rooms on each floor until the cops tell you
otherwise. When all the bad guys are dead, go back downstairs and
steal a car outside. When you get in a car, stop and wait. A cop
from the hospital will follow you and come with you so you have some
backup. From the direction that the car is facing, here are the
directions to get to the next destination:

Turn around (180 degrees)
Turn right
Keep going down this road until you finally come to a 4 way
intersection
Go through the intersection
The road isn't one way anymore
Turn left then right immediately after so you're going in the same
general direction as the long road you were on
If your car gets busted, don't forget yoour cop passenger when
stealing a new one, he'll come if you let him
Go through the intersection
Take the bend that goes left and take the immediate right
At the next intersection, turn right
Turn left at the main road and stay on the right side
When the road turns right, drive across the pavements and go down
the street that goes down
Turn left then right
When you get to the bridge, take a right just after it
Turn right then right again and cross the bridge
Take the second left turn at the roundabout
Take the next left turn
When you get to an intersection, drive over the pavement to the
right and take the road straight ahead
When you get to the end, turn left
Turn left again
Take the next left
Take another left at the small road
You'll see 2 Lexus' and a red Rover.

Get out of your car and start blasting away at anyone who comes out
of the garage. Make your way to the garage with your cop passenger
if he's still alive and with you. There are 2 guys in sight, cap
them then advance until a 3rd shows his face. Blow him away then cap
the fool in the hole under the car lift and another guy comes in the
room. Kill him then heal before entering the next room. Your cop
friend might still be outside shooting at a gang car way down the
street if he hasn't already died yet. While you're healing, another
guy might appear behind you. If so, cap him. As soon as you enter
the room, blast the nutter by the Jeep. Go to the left side and kill
the guy at the other end and then the guy who's hiding behind you.
In the far right corner, blast the last guy. A few more might appear
during the shootout. Go to the corner with the papers on the floor
and the mission is complete.

----------------------------
Mission 21: The Jolson Files
Difficulty: Normal
----------------------------
Pull out your Pistols and go through the door on the far right.
Follow the hallway until you see the TVR. In this room, you can take
the TVR or the Lotus. Make your choice, then get a move on. Here are
the directions to get to the next destination:

Take a left out of the garage
Take a right at the main road
Take the next right
Go through the intersection and keep going until your hazard lights
tell you that you're at the destination.

Get out of the car and put your back up to the wall by the entrance.
Wait until they walk away then run up behind the guy by the Saab and
grab him. Bonk his head with your gun then go into the warehouse.
Grab the guy reading the message board and bonk his head too, or
just go past him. Go up the mini stairs and put your back to the
wall beside the door. When the group of people are done talking,
they split up. Hide in the corner in this room while one of the guys
walks by and goes outside. Now go into the room where the 3 guys
were talking and hide behind the boxes to the left. Put your back to
the boxes and you see 2 guys come into the room. When they split up,
follow the 2nd guy into the main warehouse section to the left.
Crouch behind the box on your left. When they split up, run up
behind the guy that you can see and bonk his head while you're
holding him. Turn left and stay to the right of the boxes. Hide
behind one of them and put your back to the box there. One of the 2
guys goes downstairs. Go an bonk the other guy. Go downstairs and
put your back to the left wall. There are 2 guys talking. When they
split up, one of the goes to watch some TV near you and the other
goes the other direction. Quickly run up to the guy watching TV,
bonk him, grab his body and drag him back to where you where before.
Wait for the other guy to come back, and like an idiot he watches
the TV even thought the other guy is gone. Go behind the idiot and
bonk him. Head where the guy you just bonked went before and around
the corner and the mission will be over.

----------------------------
Mission 22: Meet Mark Hamond
Diificulty:
----------------------------
When you can play, pull out your Pistols and blast the guy coming
down the stairs. Go up the stairs and start blasting at the many
guys you can see. When you need to heal, run back downstairs. Heal
so you can see if anyone tries to come down after you. They can't
shoot on stiars so they'll have to go to the bottm before they can
even shoot one bullet. Run around looking for any more guys then
heal before entering the next room. Dual Pistols work best here, yet
again. Blast away at anything that moves then go up the stairs and
heal in this room. You might notice a guy standing by the message
board while you're healing. Get rid of him then go back in the room
you were just in and grab the AK and kill anyone who tries to stop
you from taking it. There are 2 ways to get out of this warehouse.
One is easy, the other, not so easy. Going out the back door is easy
so do that. Grab the Saab 9x or the Lexus and head to the next
destination using these directions if you need to:

Go out the exit and turn right
Go through the intersection
Take a right at the next intersection and cross the bridge
Go straight over the pavements after the bridge and drive down this
road
Go through 4 intersections and over a pavement
Keep going until the road ends, then drive into the Depot parking
lot

Go in the front door then turn right and follow the guy up the
stairs and into the room. Whack him then head into the warehouse
part of the building. Go down the stairs and whack the guy just
standing there. Run along the right side of the boxes until you turn
left or right between some boxes. Take the path to the right and the
mission is complete.

------------------------------
Mission 23: Showdown with Jake
Difficulty: Hard
------------------------------
When the vehicles leave the warehouse, run up behind the guy by the
red crates and whack him. Now run up behind the other guy and whack
him too. Go out the large door and head towards the Lexus near the
gate. A guy with an AK will come from around the corner shooting at
you. Pop him and steal his AK if you don't already have one, either
way you can steal it for more ammo. Get in the Lexus and head to the
next destination. Here are the directions to get there from the
front gate of the depot:

Take the road straight ahead of you(The way you came to get to the
depot from the previous mission)
Keep going down this road until you see a bridge overhead(From
building to building)
Turn left at the next intersection after the bridge
Keep going down this road for literally a couple of minutes until
you reach an intersection that has blue and white buildings on
either side
Take a right turn at this intersection
Turn right again and cross the bridge
Turn left at the next intersection
Go down this road until you see an open gate on your left
Go through the gate and turn right

Park beside the 3 white vans and board the boat just like you did
with Hammond. If you don't make much noise then no one will know
that you are there right when you walk up the stairs. Whack the guy
right in front of you then turn right and circle around the board
blasting anything that moves. When you get to the far side(the
opposite side of where you got on) you can see more guys way down
at the other side of the boat but you can't hit each other from your
positions. Heal now if you need to. Make your way towards them and
blast anyone that you can hit. When they're all dead, look around
you for anyone else, then head to the back of the ship on the right
side. When you get near the end, Jake pokes out and shoots at you a
bit. You can't kill him now so just run towards him. He runs into
the room right around the corner then he sends out 2 guys from the
room, so if you need to heal, kill those 2 before you do. 2 or 3
more guys should come out of nowhere. Blow them away too and pick
up an AK 47 off the ground. Now go into the room where Jake went.
Stay to the left of the stairs and go around the corner and up the
next stairs. When you get to the top, press auto-aim and you'll
automatically turn around and aim at one of the 5 guys that you need
to kill. Dual pistols works better than an AK but you can use
whatever you want or have. Theres one guy in the kitchen to the
left, two come in through the door in front of you, and there's two
behind the table to the far right. Take out the ones on the left
side first, then head over to the table and blast the last two guys.
Go out the door where those 2 guys came from and blow away the guy
to your right. Now a guy with a shotgun comes from the room you just
exited. Murder him then go up the stairs out on this balcony. You
see Jake again and he send 2 guys again to try to kill you. Kill
them with dual pistols if you have them, then run to where Jake was.
He gets on a load that is being held by a crane and it moves and
takes him down to the the deck on the other side of the ship. Now
you have to head down to where he is. Grab the shotgun on the ground
one level down if you want, or take the AK which the guy in the
kitchen dropped if you didn't already take it. You might encounter
someone on the way down. If you do, blow them away and heal before
fighting Jake. When you get to where he is, locate him and blast
away at him with any weapon. Best effect is the AK then dual
pistols. Go up the stairs on the left or right side and he will come
towards you. If he gets close to you then whack him or just keep
shooting at him until he drops to the ground. There isn't much
description here on how to beat him, but there doesn't need to be
because it's not hard. If it's hard for you, then you're doing
something wrong or not doing something right. When he's down, go up
to his corpse and the mission is complete.

----------------------------------
Mission 24: Land of Hope and Glory
Difficulty: Extreme
----------------------------------
Finally, the last mission. You have to get off the boat in 3
minutes or less. When you can play, go down the stairs. Don't worry
about the 2 guys who run past you. When you get to the bottom, kill
the 2 guys in front of you then turn left and end the life of 2
more. The path to the left is blocked by broken stairs so continue
down the way that you can go. You don't have enough time to heal
fully whenever you get hurt, so just heal a little bit. Climb the
stairs at the end of the path. Go in the room and go down the stairs
at the other end of the platform. Make your way out of this room,
picking up any AK you can find. Eliminate anyone who is in your way
of exiting this room. When you get near the door, quickly shoot the
gas barrels that you can see on the other side of the door. If you
do it fast enough, you'll kill 3 nutters who are just about to run
by the door. One has a shotgun and he'll waste a lot of your health
and possibly kill you if he hits you, so shoot those gas barrels!
Go out the door and turn left. Pop anyone down the path then hael
a little bit right here if you need to. You shouldn't stop for more
than 10 seconds more than 2 or 3 times. Take the second left and cap
anyone here, then go into the room to the right. Around this point,
you'll start to hear a beeping noise. If you don't know what that
means, then be warned that it means your time is almost up. The
faster the beeping gets, the closer to 3 minutes your time is.
If you don't make it out in under 3 minutes, then you fail. From
this room, go up the stairs onto the platform above and make sure
that no one is shooting at you, then climb the next set of stairs
and go out the door to the left. You'll probably barely make the
3 minute time limit.

Mission complete. Game over. You win. Good job. Now check out
Free-Roaming mode in the "Extra Features" section at the main menu.

      MISCELLANEOUS

*************************
15. EXTRAS
*************************
Here are some fun little bits you might have not known about and
stuff that's just fun to do...

Shoot the outside of the garage in mission 21(it won't open from the
outside), then get in the TVR or Lotus and look at the mess of
bullet holes where the door was! Haha!

Want to see another view of your car? Park at a intersection with
lights(If they're red or not) and get out. Walk away from the car
a bit, and wait for more cars to pull up behind yours. It's pretty
cool to see what other people can see when you get out of the car.

Press Circle to get out of your car on the right side.
Press Left and Circle to get out of your car on the left side.

Find a road with those plastic lights that are in the median of
the road(like in the first mission), and drive into them and try to
collect as many as you can in one big pile in the middle of the
street.

Whack cops when you're DC Carter. If an enemy or a pedestrian is
near a cop, you can press whack on THEM and turn fast towards the
cop and it will whack them.

Hit a parked car and your character yells at no one. Hit a car
when it's your fault and your character blames the other person.

Gameplay Tips:
--------------
Driving Tips

-Use curbs and sidewalks
Go around cars that are stopped or that are travelling too slow.
Don't be a sucker and wait, especially on timed missions.

-Driving through traffic(down the middle)
Surprisingly enough you can actually drive inbetween both lanes
and scrape by other cars and not get hit. However, if there is a
cop car or a gang car after you, it may drive head on into you as
you try to scrape by it.

-Stealing cars when people are after you
If your car is in terrible condition or if you don't even have a
car, you need to get in a good condition car and get away from your
ememies. If a bunch of gang or cop cars were following you, kill
them all if you can and take the car that is in the best condition
because you might have to do this process a few times on the way to
 where you are headed.

-Run people down when they're shooting at you
Sure shootouts are very fun but it's even funer to get in a car and
 run down your enemy.

-Lose followers(dodge, swerve, slam on brakes)
Cars that follow you are generally really good at keeping up with you
and they don't hit oncoming traffic like you thought they would when you
swerve from lane to lane, so you have got to put together moves like slam
on the brakes and swerve around them and cut through traffic then take a
hard right or left and drive on the sidewalk and hope that whoever is
following you hits a pole. That may not always work, but just don't give
up and keep trying new complex strings of moves to lose your followers.
You could always get out and shoot at them too.

-Steal ak-47's from gangs(the passenger has one)
Go for the big gun. The AK-47 is an automatic rifle that is very accurate
at long range, if you aren't wounded, and it is a comon gun. I would say
the dual MP5s are the best killing devices but they are very rare, infact
they are only in one mission, but if you don't use them you can keep
bringing them with you on to the next missions

-Cars heal your health(while inside them and you can even lean on
 them to heal)
Use cars to your advantage! Get in one if you are about to die and drive
for a while. Your health will slowly go back up. It's slow but it works.

Gun Tips

-Use pistols in close quarters
Dual pistols work very well inside buildings and they are the best overall
 weapon

-Pick off people far away with free aim
Don't forget about this feature! Free-aim can be very useful at shooting
 things that are far away.

-Using walls and shooting around corners
Go stealthy. Put your back against walls and you can see around a corner
before you even go around it. If you are by the corner you can put your gun
out and shoot blindly around the corner. It works best with an AK-47 but it
does waste ammo fast so it is debateable if it's even worth it.

-Use auto aim to advance on hiding foes
If you have someone targeted and they go into hiding, don't stop targeting
them! Keep walking towards them and the second they are visable, blast them!

-Hold auto aim when going around corners
If you can't see around a corner becuase you are walking towards the camera,
then press and hold auto aim. If your character does nothing then there is
no one around the corner who is a threat to you.

-Roll when you need to(no health, dodging bullets or rolling around corners)
It can save your life if you're low on health. Roll behind objects so you
are not in the way of gunfire. This is a good tactic to use even if you have
 full health.

-Don't get caught on stairs and know how to use them to your advantage
If you are climbing stairs and you get shot at, you can't do anything about
it until you get to the top. However, this goes for anyone that is on the
stairs. Wait for your enemies to come get you and when they come down the
stairs, be cheap and shoot at them, see how they like it.

-Don't get whacked.
And I don't mean killed. If an enemy somehow gets close enough to you that
they can literally stick out their arm, gun in hand, and hit you with it,
then the first thing you should do as the player is to be already pressing
the whack button yourself. If your enemy hits you, it does amazing damage.
If you get hit twice, you are DEAD. It's almost like a shotgun blast. Use
the whack feature yourself whenever someone is getting close to you to kill
 them quickly.

General Tips

-Don't run out into traffic (one hit and you could die)
If you run out into the road and a car hits you, most likely you are dead.
Look both ways before you cross the road, just your momma always said.

-Don't always use a shotgun or AK until the ammo runs out before switching guns
You should use a weapon that fits the use that you need. If you have a shotgun,
AK, and a pistol lying on the ground, pick up the one tht you need right then.
If enemies are approaching closely, pick up the shotgun and blow them away.
If they are far away and you can see them, pick up the AK and pick them off.
If they are at meadium range, use the pistol. Or, if there is no one near you,
then pick up the gun you would like to use next, AK, or shotgun and put away
 your pistol(s).

-Swap weapons(ex. kill a guy with an AK then take HIS AK)
If you waste more ammo to kill a guy then he does when he is shooting at you,
then you'd be stupid NOT to take his gun, it has more ammo. This only applies
to the shotgun and AK-47, but it is important to have the most ammo possible.

-Don't forget about buses, they're slow but pretty tough
And they are durable and can push cars out of the way like toys. If you haven't
used one yet, you should. If you have, but not often enough, do it more. They
are in the game for a reason and they can be very useful.

-When healing in the streets, keep pressing auto aim everyone ten seconds or so
More enemies may arrive by car while you are healing and you may not be able to
see them come so keep pressing auto aim every ten seconds or so to tell if there
 is a threat near you.

-Cops can't pull you out of your car but they can shoot at you when you are in it.
That's good and bad. Get away from shooting cops as fast as you can but don't
worry about them pulling you out of your new ride like in games such as
 Grand Theft Auto.

16. OUR PERSONAL REVIEWS
*************************
Cybiolink8000's Review:

Introduction

The Getaway is not like the GTA Series, if that's what you thought. You
can still drive a wide variety of cars around the 40 km of London that are
re-created, but most of The Getaway's missions are composed of
Gunfights within buildings. The Getaway took more than 3 years to
make. There were even rumors that it was cancelled, but now, it's finally
out. Most of the time spent makingthe game was spent on the city, and
the buildings and landmarks look stunningly real because of it. 40 km
(Kilometers, not Miles. One Mile = 2.59 Kilometers making the City
approximately 15.4 Miles) are re-created of London, which were
modeled from thousands of photographs which were taken by the
Development crew. Also, The Getaway sports dozens of cars, which are
real and not just made up for the game. Examples of some are from the
likes of Volvo, Saab and Peugeot. Most of the cars in the game are
European, but there are some Japanese gang cars(Nissan Skyline and
Honda Civic) and Toyota's and Honda's on the road. Also "Brabus"
is in the game, which look exactly like Mercedes-Benz cars(Which
are German).

Gameplay - 10/10
The Getaway is composed of 24 missions, each consisting of multiple
parts.(Usually 3-4 for each mission and to save you must beat all
parts) The Getaway plays much like a movie, especially because you
play the first 12 missions as one character, (Mark Hammond - A former
Gangster and convicted Bank Robber who has to do the dirty work of
London's biggest crime boss, Charlie Jolson, to keep his kid alive) and
the next 12 as another (D.C. Frank Carter - A Renegade Cop who's
ultimate desire is to get rid of Charlie Jolson for good) that take place
at the same time with different points of view, so you might see each
other. If you don't check out the controls before you play(I'm sure
most of us just want to play the game after 3+ years of waiting for
this game) you might not realize you can auto aim and heal your
injuries. R1 is auto aim just so you know in advance and don't throw
the controller out the window out of frustration. For the most part,
the controls havethe standard appeal. You probably won't comment
on how good they are, but at least you won't comment on how bad
they are. After all, playing a game with bad controls is very tough,
even if the rest of the game is good. Driving cars is fun, and safer
then you might think. If there are two lanes, you can just stay in
the center of them, and if you are just right, you can keep going,
even at a fast speed, in between both lanes of cars without hitting
any of them. You'll clip a few, but not enough to lose speed. The
inside levels are cleverly designed and fun to play. They sometimes
have interactive objects but you can't really control them(e.g. A
staircase falling apart when you go near it) There are some nifty
moves you can do, like you can put your back against a wall and
shift over until you meet a door way. Then you can pop out and
shoot stuff and go back to your position against the wall or shift
across to the other side of the doorway by going in that direction
or doing a roll past the door opening. If you don't have a weapon
like a gun or a baseball bat(rare weapon), you can grab people
in headlocks and walk around with them as your hostage, but to
let them go you have to break their neck, so if you aren't looking
for trouble, don't grab anyone. You can also grab people with a gun
equipped but your character will shoot them in the head instead
of breaking their neck.(Depending which character you are)
Hammond's actions are deadly, while Carter's just knock out or
arrest the person.

Story - 10/10
It's original, in the sense of the way it happens, but basically all
that happens is a kid gets kidnapped and you have to do "chores"
to get him back. What makes the story good, are the cut scenes
before, during and after missions and how when you play as a
Frank Carter you see a different point of view from Mark
Hammond and you are a Cop, so it's cool not having the pesky
Police on your tail all the time. That's kind of like your reward
for beating the first half of the game. After the first half, it's
almost like you went back in time and switched identities from
a criminal to a Police Officer, and that is very original. The way the
story progresses after each mission seems just like a movie, making
you want to keep playing to know what happens. Sometimes the
story can get quite intense, and it's never really boring even though
some cut scenes can get near 10 minutes in length.

Graphics/Sound - 10/10
The Getaway is full of great character models with detailed
expressions and faces. The voice acting is also nothing less
than spectacular. Great detail in the expression of the voices,
makes for movie-like game. Like I said before, the building's
have some great detail and look almost real. You can really
see the effort put into them. The sound in The Getaway
is cool, like when you hop in a car and burnout while accelerating
away or when you slam on the brakes and hit a few cars making
a big crash. The car damage models are very nice, with some
very impressive looking damage. If your car gets too shot up or
smashed it will eventually set on fire and if you don't get out
(which isn't hard because if you're car is that badly damaged
you can only go very slow anyway's) then you'll burn to death.
Otherwise you can just get another car.

Play Time/Re-playability - 8/10
It shouldn't take too long to beat this game, but once you beat it,
you can choose what level you want to re-play at any time and
you also get a free roam mode where you aren't in a mission and
you can do what you want, with infinite time. You might just
feel like playing a certain level again, but you'll probably not
start from the beginning again because you'll lose the free roam,
and level select. Along with playing free roam a lot, you might
find yourself re-playing a mission to do better in it, to play a
certain part again, or just to have fun on a random mission.

Final Recommendation - 9/10
Sometimes it gets very frustrating that you might feel like
reading a FAQ to beat a part(possibly this one), but if you
do it yourself, you'll be happy and feel good about yourself.
If you think the Getaway would be a waste of money because
you already have the GTA games, then you should seriously
research the game. It is not like GTA much at all. Similarities
are that there are Gangs, and you can drive around in a big
environment, but the rest is different. The game feels
different when you're playing and the story plays a very big
part, so if you're not into it, you might not like the game
much. This seems like one of those games that you either
love, or hate. I know I love it.
