1.) Introduction
===================

Howdy and welcome to my guide for Tales of Legendia. Ever since the
unexpected success of Tales of Symphonia in 2004, the Tales series has been
put on the map. Because of Tales of Symphonia, a lot of people started
playing the other Tales games, most noteably Tales of Phantasia.

I honestly had no idea that Tales of Legendia was supposed to be released as
soon as it was until my friend, Kevin (who also bought me a copy of Koudelka)
pointed it out to me. Since I liked Tales of Symphonia, I decided to go to
my Gamestop today, and pick up a copy. With my copy, I got a free artbook.

This guide is going to be a work in progress. For those of you that have
read my previous guides, I'm only going to focus on the main walkthrough
itself before adding in any of the sub sections. I would appreciate it if
you wouldn't send me any e-mails asking me any questions in the game until
the walkthrough itself is finished. One last thing, do NOT send me any
e-mails telling me to hurry up and finish this guide or badmouth me for not
finishing it quickly enough. I WILL post e-mail addresses of those people,
so please be patient. Thank you.

===================
3.) Characters
===================

Note: All of the information in this section is from the artbook that I
recieved when I bought ToL.

Name: Senel Coolidge
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 130 lbs
Weapon: Bracers (Gauntlets, knuckles, etc.)
Occupation: Marine Trooper (Coastal patrol force that protects sea traffic
from pirates and monstesr.)

-Senel is a young martial artist and master of iron eres. He is also a
talented sailor and swimmer, thanks to his work in the Marines of the Holy
Alliance, where he helps maintain the safety of the oceans from the monsters
that love there. He has a strong will, and prefers action over words, causing
many people to think that he is cold and uncaring.

---------

Name: Shirley Fennes
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 90 lbs
Weapon: Pen (Quill used for spell casting, etc.)
Occupation: None

-Shirley is Senel's sister, two years younger than he. She is constantly
trying to protect her brother from the dangers that his puts him in. She has
a unique body chemistry, however, that causes her to fall ill should she come
into contact with salty sea wind or water. Normally she is calm and quiet,
giving those around her an impression that she is frail. At the same time,
though, she can be quite stubborn, and once she has decided upon a course
of action, it is almost impossible to change her mind about it.

---------

Name: Will Raynard
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 168 lbs
Weapon: Hammer (War hammer)
Occupation: Sheriff (originally a natural historian)

-Will is the first person that Senel meets when he comes to the Legacy. Will
is a user of crystal eres. In his role as the sheriff of Werites Beacon, a
town on the Legacy, he has earned the love and respect of many people, but he
insists that he is just a natural historian. He has an excellent ability for
leadership and decision making, and as the eldest person in the party he is
sometimes strict and sometimes kind, gaining him the trust of the others. Yet
it seems he also has a weak spot...

---------

Name: Chloe Valens
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 108 lbs
Weapon: Sword (Broadsword)
Occupation: Knight

-Chloe is a young woman who uses iron eres and an unnaturally deft blade. The
name of the House of Valens is well known even among other kingdoms as a once
noble family of proud knights. Perhaps due to her feelings of duty to carry
on that tradition, she always forces herself to walk the true path of a
knight. Nonetheless, she has an inner side that is cute and feminine, like
the young lady that she is.

---------

Name: Norma Beatty
Gender: Female
Age: 16
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 95 lbs
Weapon: Straw (Bubble blowers)
Occupation: Treasure Hunter

-Norma is a young treasure hunter that Senel meets during his adventure. She
is a user of crystal eres. She is cheerful and loves jokes, and is constantly
drawing laughter by making fun both of those around her and of herself. At
times, however, she makes very insightful comments that show just how clearly
she sees events, and that she is a person to be reckoned with. She likes to
create nicknames for people that only she uses.

---------

Name: Moses Sandor
Gender: Male
Age: 17
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 140 lbs
Weapon: Spear (Always carries several spears, permitting rapid throws.)
Occupation: Bandit Chief

-Moses uses iron eres and wields a spear in battle. He comes from a tribe
of beast tamers, and he himself is the master of a galf (a type of beast)
named Giet. On the Legacy, he is notorious as the boss of a group of bandits,
and his many henchmen make trouble throughout the ship. While his appearance
is one of barbarity, he is actually quite humane and responsible.
Surprisingly, he is also quickly moved to tears.

---------

Name: Jay
Gender: Male
Age: 16
Height: 5'1"
Weight: 104 lbs
Weapon: Dagger (Single-edged dagger)
Occupation: Information Dealer

-Jay is a young man who uses iron eres, and tends to appear and disappear
without notice. He is always coolly watching the situation from one step
away. He is especially good at imformation analysis, and therefore often
finds work as a strategic advisor. His tendency to let fly with cynical
remarks about those around him make for a less-than-socially-acceptable
personality. However, it seems that there are some to whom he will show his
younger, boyish side.

---------

Name: Grune
Gender: Female
Age: ?
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 117 lbs
Weapon: Jar (Not your average jar...)
Occupation: Unknown

-Grune is a woman shrouded in mystery. She uses crystal eres. Never swayed
by circumstances, she has the amazing ability to bring a feeling of peace and
well-being to all those around her. She has lost her memory, recalling only
her own name, but she still keeps in high spirits and has a smile on her face
at all times. Never distraught, never emotional, she may be the most fearless
member of the group.

===================
4.) Basics
===================

Here are the basic elements in Tales of Legendia.

---------
BATTLES
---------

-Like in all RPGs, you're bound to fight a random battle eventually, and Tales
of Legendia is no different. Like the other Tales game, the battle system for
Tales of Legendia is real-time. However, unlike Tales of Symphonia, you no
longer get to choose your own battles, but instead you are treated with random
encounters. The random encounters don't happen enough to make you frustrated,
but tend to activate a lot.

---------
ATTACKING
---------

-Like in all RPGs, you need to attack to win battles, whether it's physical
or magic attacks. Tales of Legendia has two attacks; normal, and special
attacks, or Ere attacks. The X button unleashes a normal attack which can hit
up to three times for certain characters if you press the X button three
times, and the Circle button (with specified direction) unleashes an Ere
attack that consumes SP, but is more powerful than a normal attack.

---------
GUARDING
---------

-Guarding is a key thing to use during battles if you want to keep safe.
Pressing and holding the Square button will bring your character to their
guard, and if you press left or right (depending on the direction you're
facing) while guarding, you'll slowly step backwards to avoid any danger.

---------
EXPERIENCE
---------

-After every battle, you gain experience points. The more experience points
you gain, the more levels you'll obtain. You can view to see how many more
experience points a character needs to get to the next level on the menu
screen, which you can open by pressing the Triangle button on the field map.

---------
GRADE
---------

-You obtain GRADE after every battle. Depending on your actions and the end
results of battles, you may either get Positive GRADE, or Negative GRADE.
Simple things such as blocking attacks and being damaged by enemies effect
your GRADE.

---------
GALD
---------

-You obtain Gald after battles have been won, or you may find Gald in treasure
chests throughout the entire game. You need Gald in order to purchase items,
weapons, and armor.

---------
COOKING
---------

-In Tales of Symphonia, you were able to cook anywhere except in battles.
Cooking is back in Tales of Legendia, but however, there's a catch. The only
time you can cook anything is when you reach a bakery, and there's an oven
available. This is the only way to bake the several breads you come across
in your journey.

---------
CLIMAX
---------

-Probably the most important feature in the game, a little meter near the
bottom of the screen builds up as you attack enemies. Once it gets full,
pressing L1 will activate Climax mode, where all the enemies freeze and become
defenselss until the meter runs out. If you also have 4 characters in your
party, pushing L1 again will activate a Climax combo, doing some heavy damage.

===================
5.) Walkthrough
===================

Note: This guide will assume that you're playing as Senel. Also, this guide
may contain spoilers, so read at your own risk.

Before you start playing, I'd recommend watching the opening anime movie.
The musical score is nice, and the scenes are just as nice.

Once you select New Game, you'll be thrown into the action. You'll see Senel
and Shirley on a boat with some rough waves coming and going against the boat.
After some talking, an enemy will come board the ship, and you'll be in your
first fight.

This battle isn't hard. This battle mainly gives you a chance to play around
with the battle features and let's you get accustomed to them. When you're
ready, rush in and just do some normal attacks on it, or if you want, mix in
a couple of normal attacks with Demon Fist to finish it off quickly.

Once the battle is over, an anime cutscene will occur, and a huge object
appears in front of Senel's ship, and the ship is sent flying through the
waters. You'll then land on the island, Legacy. A pillar of light will form,
and a mysterious man will make an appearance.

After the scene, you'll find that enemy you fought on the ship going torwards
that mysterious man, and you'll find Senel by Shirleys side as he heals her
in the spring.

Another man comes along, and nags at Senel, claiming that Shirley is going to
drown. After some more talking, the mysterious man appears and you're left
to fight him.

You can't win this fight, nor lose it. You'll both deal low damage to each
other. After awhile, Shirley will let out a scream and the battle will end.
A bandit with a face plate covering his left side of his face abducts Shirley
and runs off. The mysterious man grows wings and chases after them. The
other man introduces himself as Will, and then Will and Senel run off after
Shirley.

| Chapter 1: In Pursuit |
O-----------------------O
          (CH1)

==============
FALLINGWATER
==============

Once you gain control, run down the path and up the small set of stairs to
the left to find a chest. You'll also find a save point here. Step on it and
save your game.

Continue down the path and you'll trigger another scene where a pig is on the
ground, but suddenly changed into a woman who introduces herself as Mimi.
Just like the Wonder Chef in Tales of Symphonia, Mimi will give you bread
recipies for you to make in bakeries across the world. Once in control,
continue down the path for another scene, and Will will (haha) ask Senel a
question. Will will explain why people are after Shirley. Once in control,
keep following the linear path until you reach a fork. Take the path that
has the stairs and open the chest here. Go back down the stairs and continue
left to go to the next screen.

You'll run into another chest and a blue icon that refills your HP and TP if
you examine it. Keep going to find yet another chest, and if you keep going
down the path, you'll find yet another chest. Further more down the path
lies another chest. Keep treading this path and you'll finally reach town.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Will will (man that's getting annoying) will tell Senel about the lighthouse
at the top. A townsfolk will come in and ask Will to follow him. Once in
control, go ahead and check out the map of the town to the right of you. The
red icons indicate the equipment shops, whereas the blue icon indicates where
the bakery is, and the yellow icon shows where the item store is.

Use the save point and head to the south until you come across a huge house.
You can't go in it yet, but if you explore the yard, you'll find a treasure
chest. Keep going south and you'll eventually run into the bakery, item shop,
and weapon/armor shop. You can bake some Toast if you want, but it's not
recommended. If you want, you can buy a new weapon for Senel in the weapon
shop, the Power Wrist that adds 4 Attack to Senel's stats. However, it costs
700 Gald, so think carefully if you want it.

Once you're done here, start going north and keep going north until you reach
the fountain. You'll trigger a scene with an odd looking boy (yes, that's a
boy) who asks Senel if he's strong or not. Getting fed up with no answer,
the boy decides to say that whoever can beat him will win 50,000 Gald, but
puts the blame on Senel. The villagers gather around Senel, but back off once
they learn that he can use Eres.

Soon, a very odd couple will come in and start singing about justice and
things of that nature. One of them does a very very bad Elvis impersonation.
Senel, getting fed up with all the horsecrap going on, attacks the two. Will
then steps into the picture, and blasts Senel to knock him out.

Senel wakes up in a jailcell and learns that Will is the sheriff of the town,
but Will indicates he's just a natural historian. The old lady asks Senel
who Shirley is, and once Senel replies that she's his sister, the old lady
asks Will to let Senel free. The old lady asks Will to go with Senel, and
then brings up another person that Will seems to be familiar with. You've
just gained your first party member. Pop the cork and celebrate.

If you go up the stairs, you'll realize that you're in Will's house. There's
an oven here. Also, if you head upstairs and examine the bookshelves, you'll
run across an Apple Gummy. Other than that, there's nothing to do here.

As you leave the house, the old lady will come out after you and give a world
map to Will. After that's done, head to the south to exit the town. Once
on the world map, Will tells you about ducts.

From here, head north to find a small cottage.

==============
COUNTRY COTTAGE
==============

Talk to the man standings by the table. He'll give you some information on
battles and other aspects of the game. There's a save point in here also.
Exit the Cottage and head back to Werites. From Werites, head a bit south
to find another place of interest.

==============
PORT-ON-RAGE
==============

Not much to do here, but there are a few treasure chests for you to get. Run
around and get them all (the paths are very linear). Once you get them, exit.

To reach our destination, go back to Werites, and head northeast to find the
Misty Mountains.

==============
MISTY MOUNTAINS
==============

As you venture in, you'll notice a huge black blob like field, and once you
get close to it, a scene will trigger. What those fields do, is they pretty
much increase the random encounter rate in them, and the enemies inside of
them are stronger. However, the fields themselves aren't very large, and
there are usually treasure chests at the end of the field. If you got a few
levels before venturing into the Misty Mountains, then you shouldn't have too
much trouble with the fight here.

I'd recommend going for the chests. If you want to, go through the first
black field and grab the chest at the end. Continue up the path through
another field for another chest. Keep following the path until you reach the
top where a purple chest resides. Open it for some Hard Leather and go to
the right to enter the next screen. Save your game here and advance to the
next screen.

You'll come across a scene with a young woman on the bridge atop of you.
After some talking, she'll cut the bridge in half, land near you, and think
that you're with the bandits, and suddenly attack you.

This is a scripted battle. You can neither win or lose. Just attack her, but
don't waste TP or items. After awhile, the battle will come to a halt. After
some more talking, the bandits will find you and the three of you will
retreat. The young woman will run away as you and Will hide.

Once in control, head down to grab a chest, and then go back up. From your
starting point, head to the left and down a bit to find another black field.
Go through it and down to the next screen for another chest. Head back up
and go north and you'll eventually reach a save point. Go south from it to
find a paper crane lying on the ground. Examine it to find Mimi again. After
the scene, you'll learn how to make a Ham Sammich... I mean Sandwichs.
Continue north and around the bridges. Follow this path until you reach the
world map.

On the world map, follow the dirt path as it bends around the corner until
you find another duct. Use the Duct to return to Werites Beacon if you need
any items or if you need to heal. If you don't, enter the Bandits Lair.

==============
BANDITS LAIR
==============

Once you enter, you'll encounter a scene with Moses (gotta love the southern
accent). Senel will run at Moses in frustration, but only winds up falling
through a trap door.

You'll be by yourself for a bit, so hopefully you've gotten the basic battle
skills down. Once you regain control, open the chest near you for an Apple
Gel. Continue down the path and trot through the black field (don't worry
about being attacked in them, most of them only contain one enemy usually)
for a chest. Go back down and keep going through another black field for
another chest containing 800 Gald.

Continue until you reach the next screen, where a scene will trigger. Senel
will slowly make his way across the floor, and after a bit, he'll bump into
someone. Well wouldn't you know it, it's that female at the Misty Mountains.
Soon, Will comes running down the path and finds you. After some talking,
you'll have control again. Go up and take the stairs you come across up.
Another scene will activate, with the identity of the female known. Her name
is Chloe. A scene with Moses and Shirley also starts up. Moses explains he
kidnapped her was because he wants the most powerful Eres that has the power
to move mountains. Shirley claims she has no idea what he's talking about,
and one of Moses' men will rush into the room.

Once you regain control, trot through the black field to find another chest
containing Leather Boots. Continue down the path until you can go up some
more stairs. You'll be near the entrance. Go north from the trap door until
you find a huge wooden door. You can't use it yet, but it'll come into play
soon. Go left from the door and up the stairs.

Moses will greet you and go running off after having his little fun. Chase
after him through the duct, but Will claims there's something funny about the
duct. Well, only one way to find out. Jump in, press X, and awayyy we go!
You'll find yourself in a strange green room. This is called a Puzzle Booth.
Will explains the main idea of a puzzle room, and how to reset a puzzle room
if you somehow screw yourself over.

This particular puzzle room is very easy. The blocks you can grab and pull
have little shining indicators at the top. Grab the block by the stairs and
pull it out, and then up and to the left until you push it into the gap. Make
your way across. The other block is by the exit duct. Pull it out and push
it into the other gap. Climb the stairs and go across it and use the duct to
exit. Simple, wasn't it?

You'll find the room Shirley is in, and Senel tries to break it down with his
fists. Of course, since Metal beats fists, Senel hurts himself in the
process. Seems we need to find the key, but Moses most likely has the key.
Use the save point and head to the left and go through the door here to find
Moses and Giet. Moses will provoke you to come and get the key. Well, since
asking nicely most likely won't work, we'll need to take it by force.

-This is going to be a tough fight if you have no clue on what you're doing.
Giet will rush across the screen most of the time, whereas Moses likes to
keep his distance and throw spears at you. However, since Giet is a lot
faster than Moses, Giet is the bigger threat, so try to focus all your attacks
on Giet. Using a three hit attack with a Base Eres and Arcane Eres should
link up a nice combo. Try to keep Giet away from Will as you attack him with
your best Eres attacks. If you can corner both Giet and Moses, use a Climax
to deal some good damage. If not, just keep yourself healed and make sure
to use Guard. Guard is essential in this fight. Just keep your health up
and you should win.

-----------------------------

After the fight is over, you'll get the key after some talking. Go back to
the locked door, and you'll see that mysterious man from earlier snagging
Shirley and flying away. You'll then see a mysterious woman outside the lair,
attempting to invade it. Moses runs off and you're left with his pal offering
to show you the rear exit of the lair.

Remember that huge wooden door you couldn't use earlier? Backtrack to that
and a scene will trigger. The man will explain where you should go next, the
Crystal Forest.

After that's done, one last scene happens with Moses challenging the
mysterious woman. You're then on the world map. Save your game and head
straight north (12 o' clock) until you reach the Crystal Forest.

==============
CRYSTAL FOREST
==============

Once you enter the forest, you'll find a young girl being chased by some kind
of odd looking creature. Will explains what the creature is, and that it's
usually a tame creature that normally doesn't attack unless its nest is being
robbed or poked around at.

Once in control, go left to find a chest and then go back and take the other
direction until you come across some black fields. Cross through them and
grab the chests on the other side. Keep following the path until you reach
the next screen. Head left for a few more chests and continue north and go
left once you get the chance and you'll eventually reach a save point. Follow
the path north and you'll run into that young woman again. Seems like that
big old crystal monster thing has its eye on you. Let's give him a good show.

-This boss isn't as challenging as Moses and Giet, but if you're not careful,
you could find yourself in a tight spot. If you get too close to him, he'll
grab you and bind you, damaging you quite heavily before dropping you to the
ground, so try not to melee for too long. If you have your Climax meter
filled up, then by all means, use it. Just avoid being caught in its pincers
and you'll come out victorious.

-----------------------------

The girl will introduce herself as Norma Beatty. She's been looking for Eres
users, since she thinks Eres users and treasure hunters are a good mix.
She'll offer you to join with her, but you decide to just ignore her and
continue on.

Go down after the fight to find another chest. Head back up and follow the
path for another chest. Keep going north to find another chest and keep
following the path until you reach the next screen.

You'll reach a deadend where you can't advance past the wall. A ladder would
probably would solve the problem, but it seems that the ladder is broken.
Norma steps forward, and unleashes some magic to break the crystal glass, and
Will smacks her over the head. After the scene, you'll get the Collector's
Book and Will recieves a new title.

There are a few more chests to get before leaving, so go back down once you
regain control to grab them then go through the new opened passage. Follow
the path and you'll eventually reach the world map.

You may notice a cottage here, but you can't enter it yet. To reach our
next destination, follow the coast to the east to find the Secret Passage.
There's a duct outside of it, so if you need to go back to Werites Beacon, do
so. Once you're ready, enter.

==============
SECRET PASSAGE
==============

Once you enter, you'll find the mysterious man and Shirley. The man makes the
door opens and heads insides with Shirley. Baffled, Senel and the others
ponder what happened until Norma brings up she knows how to open the door.
Norma asks for their help, and the door suddenly opens.

Go down the stairs and to the left to find a chest. Go back and go down the
stairs some more and go through the black field for a Gladius. Continue on
until you reach the save point. Head to the next screen to find the man.
Some talking will occur, and a fight will ensue.

This is another scripted fight, so you can't win nor lose. Just keep fighting
and the battle will eventually end.

After the fight, the pillar starts to fall, and Shirley is in danger until the
man dives underneath the pillar and shoves Shirley out of the way. However,
he breaks through the pillar and flies off quickly. The way back is caved
in, but that shouldn't stop you from grabbing the four chests behind you.

Head up to the next screen and go through the black field for a chest and
continue down the path until you reach a duct. Take it for a puzzle booth.

You'll be introduced to the Sorcerer's Ring. Pushing R2 will shoot a ball of
light. You'll need to activate the duct in here by shooting a ball of light
off the reflector so it hits the Crystal. Do so, and arrange the blocks down
the stairs so that you can make a bridge over to the duct. It's pretty easy.

You'll trigger a scene with a strange otter named Pippo that will offer to
show you his old village. Let's take his offer, but get the chest to the
right of you first. Now go through the door. You'll see a big, empty place.
Pippo introduces you to his brother, Quppo. After some talking, you'll
gain control again.

There are a few treasure chests worth collecting here. All of them are easy
to find. Also make sure to examine the rotating statue to find Mimi again
and to learn a new recipe. Head to the northen parts to find a HP/TP refiller
and a save point. Make good use of this save point.

Exit and you'll find yourself in the second part of the Secret Passage.
Head down the path to find two chests. Go across the bridge for two more
chests guarded by a black field. Follow the path to find two more chests.
Cross this bridge and head south until you can go down to the next floor.
Go down the stairs onto the rails and south for two more chests. Now go north
and you'll find out this path has been sealed also, but the two otters suggest
digging their way out. Some talking occurs with Norma trying to take
Shirley's Brooch. Soon, a pathway has been opened.

This next part is pretty straight forward. Cross the bridges and go up and
down the stairs, grabbing the chests along the way until you reach the save
point. Save your game and head onto the next screen. Here, the earthquakes
will start again, and the otters will bring up the "Long Long Demon". It
spots you and decides to chase you. You'll soon reach a dead end, and Will,
Chloe, and Senel try to fend off the beast while Norma tries to open the door.
Shirley then steps forward, and the door suddenly disappears.

You'll head outside, and the door will close behind you. Now that's ove...
wait a second, seems like Mr. old Totem Pole look-a-like monster isn't done
with us yet. The sunlight will piss him off even more, and it's time for a
fight.

-This fight isn't all that hard. His attacks can hit you for decent damage,
but it's nothing you should have to worry about if your levels are in the
7-9 Range. Now that you have four people in your party, now's a good time to
test out the Climax Combo. Use the Climax mode first, and beat up on it for
a bit. Before the Climax meter runs out, press L1 again to activate the combo
to deal some serious damage. Once it gets low on health, it'll start using
a Field of Effect with Poison. Just don't let up with your attacks and you'll
win easily.

-----------------------------

Now that the enemy is down for the count, the otters do the victory dance,
and it's actually pretty cute. After the dance, Senel and Shirley recieve
Gemini Shells. While Will is busy studying the Dinowyrm, Senel and Shirley
take off down the path without anyone knowing.

You'll be fighting with only Senel again, but I'm sure you have the fighting
basics down by now. Follow the path for a chest and head through the black
fields for a Ringmail. Keep going for another chest and you'll eventually
find a heal point and a save point. Save your game and advance to the next
screen.

You'll run into the female soldier that was attacking the Bandits Lair. Soon,
some soldiers will run in behind Senel and Shirley, blocking them in, and a
fight occurs with Senel and Melanie.

You can't win this fight. After a minute or two, Melanie will cast Eruption,
knocking Senel out. Vaclav shows up, and Shirley begs for them not to hurt
Senel and offers to go with them peacefully. Of course, since this never
works in any RPG game, why should this one be any different? Vaclav gets one
of his men of the Terrors to throw Senel off the cliff.

==============
DOWN THE CLIFF
==============

Senel slowly floats down with a golden aura around him and softly lands on
the ground. Senel wakes up and spots a young girl named Harriet. Harriet
asks Senel to escort her into town. Grab the chests to your left and save
your game and head down. You'll trigger a scene with Shirley and a captive
in the other cell starting to talk. Soon, the first chapter comes to a close.

You'll be on the world map. To reach Werites Beacon, you'll need to westward

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Harriet will ask you to bring her to Will's place. First, check out the
shops. They've stocked up on some new items, but nothing that important.
However, if you check the weapon/armor shop, examine the rotating plate on
the dresser to find Mimi again to learn another recipe.

Head for Will's house and you'll find Chloe and Will talking. Will and Chloe
then spot Senel and Harriet, and Harriet makes a break for it. Senel tells
them that Harriet thought Will and Chloe were lovers, and well... Chloe
doesn't take too kindly to that as she pops Senel right across the face.

Will explains the current situation, and brings up Jay the Unseen, one of the
best information people on the Legacy, if not the best. Chloe and Will team
up, and Senel wants in on the action, but Will quickly shuts him down, telling
Senel he can't be trusted. Head outside to find Norma and another scene.
Norma joins up with you. Norma suggests going to the fountain. So head all
the way north to find the fountain.

You'll run into two familiar faces. Curtis, and Isabella. Seems they're
ready to start a fight, but Norma tells them Senel's story and then they start
encouraging him, even offering him a spot with the Bouncers. Of course, Senel
doesn't really think that's a present. A scene will occur with Shirley and
the prisoner next to her. During the talking, someone walks into her cell and
she starts screaming. I don't even want to know.

Back to Senel, you'll find out Will and Chloe went to Port-on-Rage. Well,
looks like we know where to go now. Exit town, and head for Port-on-Rage.
You should remember where it is.

==============
PORT-ON-RAGE
==============

When you enter, you'll see Chloe, Will, and that familiar boy in the purple
outfit giving them a letter. Will then asks the boy to take him across the
sea to the meeting place for Jay the Unseen. Chloe and Will get on the boys
ship and set sail, leaving Norma and Senel behind. Luckily, a man offers you
to use his boat. Make sure to get some supplies, and when you're ready, go
talk to him.

Senel will chase down Will, and after some talking, the young man will want
to race your boat. You'll do so, and your engine will go kablooey. Harriet
then comes out from the ship, and claims that she paid so you can use the
ship. We still need to chase after Will and Chloe.

==============
THE CRAGS
==============

Use the save point to the left of you and the heal point and continue left.
Head through the black field and grab the chest and head through the other
black field. Keep going to the left and go through some more black fields
for a few more chests. Keep going left and you'll find another otter. He'll
tell you that he was working on an underwater machine, and a goat sunk it, and
he seems pretty bummed about it. He'll ask you to escort him to his village.

Continue on and go through the next black field for another chest. Go through
the next black field for another chest, and head south for a few more chests.
On the next screen, you'll find another save point and heal point. Use them
and go through the next black field for a few more chests. Follow the path
northwards and left for another black field. Keep going until you reach the
next area and head south for another chest. Head southwest for a chest and
then north for a scene.

Seems like the goat is nearby, and Norma makes fun of Harriet for freaking out
about it. As Norma gets near the ledge, a huge creature similiar to the
Dinowyrm jumps out, meaning it's time to fight.

-This fight isn't really that hard, but can be annoying depending if Norma

other side of the screen and spew water out at you. Run over and start
hitting it for a few seconds. Once it starts to rise, guard and you'll reduce
the damage taken from the water, but Norma tends to not guard from some time
to time, so make sure to keep an eye on her HP. That's the only threat, so
just keep attacking and you'll come out on top.

-----------------------------

Head north and through the black fields, and head to the left to exit The
Crags.

A scene will trigger and you'll come across a boat. Take it to head to the
Otters village. Take the boat and head north to run into Will, Chloe, and
the young man. It appears the young man has tricked Will and Chloe, and a
bunch of otters come out in attack poses, until Senel and the otter comes up.
The young man is surprised, and thanks you for looking after the otter.
The young man reveals himself as Jay. Yes, Jay the Unseen. Head into the
cave and go down the stairs and open the chest. Go back up them and go
through the left passageway.

==============
ORESOREN VILLAGE
==============

You'll trigger a scene where Harriet is revealed as Will's daughter. Seems
like Harriet was born when Will was 19 years old, and Harriet hated him since
he never visited her and never went to her mothers funeral when she died.
It also appears Will is a criminal pretending to be a sheriff and was exiled
from his village. Harriet yells at him, saying she hates him, and then she
runs off into the village.

There's an inn right by you once you regain control, and it's free, so use it
if you need to refill your health. There's an item shop, weapon shop, armor
shop, and a food shop, all next to each other. Upgrade your items as needed
and head to the back of the village and enter the house to find Jay and the
others.

Jay will outline the situation, pointing out Vaclav's location and where
the soldiers will be taking Shirley. Jay suggests that you should ambush
the soldiers bringing Shirley to their destination. Jay asks you to meet him
at the Waterways, and will bring out the entire plan once you reach him.

Leave the house and Will and Chloe will join your party again. Head back into
the house and climb the stairs and grab the chest at the top for a new recipe.
Exit the house and check the docks to find Pac-Man. Examine him to find Mimi
again to get the recipe for making a Bagel. Make sure to upgrade Will's and
Chloe's weapons and armor.

Exit the Oresoren Village. There's a duct here, so make sure to activate it.
To reach the waterways, follow the paths and go across the bridges. It's not
as confusing as it sounds. There's a duct outside the Waterways. Activate it
and enter.

==============
WATERWAYS
==============

Jay and two of the otters will be waiting for you once you enter. Jay will
pull his plan together and give you your positions. Right before the
operation is about to start, a loud yelling comes, and lookey who it is.
It's Moses and his gang. During this scene, Moses throws out the best line so
far in the game; "Where's my horny woman at?" I got a good laugh out of
that.

During the mayham, Chloe and Senel will be caught by Stingle. Senel spots
Shirley and makes a run for it. The guards guarding Shirley are downed and
she makes a break for it into the Waterways, and everyone else follows her.

The path here is very linear. Grab the chests along the way as you make your
way across to the next screen. You'll see two guards getting ready to nab
Shirley until Chloe unleashes a Demon Fang, downing them. After some talking,
Melanie shows up, and unleashes a lot of water. Senel drifts through the
water and Shirley dives in after him. Senel goes through the gate, and the
gate closes right as Shirley reaches it. Senel spots Chloe drowning, and
saves her.

Shirley seems to be in a tight spot, until the man with the black wings
appears and saves Shirley and her little friend. The man with the black wings
introduces himself as Walter. The scene shifts back to Senel and Chloe. They
got seperated from Will and Norma. Senel seems to be the only person to know
that Chloe can't swim. Grab the chest here and head up the stairs to run into
Will and Norma. Another scene occurs with Walter holding off some soldiers and
tells Shirley to run off and hide in a secret room.

Use the heal point and save point. This is a huge dungeon. Follow the path
and open the chest as you come across it. Go down the stairs and to the right
and through a black field for a chest. Keep going down and to the right
again to reach the next screen. Open the two chests past the black field
here. Take the path when it bends and go to the right and through the black
field for a chest. Head back to the left and go down and go through yet
another black field for another chest. Keep going down this path until you
reach the next screen.

Head south and past the black field for a chest containing 3000 Gald. Hot
damn. Head up and you'll trigger a scene where you bump into Moses. Moses
wants to settle the score here and now, but Will steps in and bonks Moses and
Senel on the head, even though Senel hadn't said anything. Poor Senel.
Once you regain control, continue on down the path to find a duct and the next
puzzle booth.

This one is even easier than the last. All you have to do is light all the
crystals with the Sorcerer's Ring. The ball of light will travel very far,
so you can easily reach the crystal sitting in the bottom portion of the
screen if you line yourself up with it. The crystal at the upper part of the
screen has to be activated with the aid of the reflector. Once you light all
the crystals, the duct will open and you can advance forward.

Head down for a chest and then go to the right to reach the next screen. Grab
the chest here and go back to the left and head further down go past the
black field to the right and up the stairs and open the chest. Head around
the path for another chest and keep following the path until you reach the
next screen. A scene will trigger with Walter collapsing and Melanie's
soldiers are getting closer and closer. The scene goes back to your party.
Seems like Moses wants to tag along for a bit.

Go down and open the chest and follow the path around for a scene. Senel's
Gemini Shell acts up, meaning Shirley must be near by Senel pokes around the
wall for a bit until it opens. Senel rushes in, only to find Walter, and the
other girl. The other girl is scared at first, but explains what happened.
Seems like Shirley decided to make a break for it to distract the soldiers.
Senel asks Moses to put Walter on Giet's back, but Moses quickly declines,
until he learns that Shirley is Senel's sister.

Use the heal point and save point outside and take the left path and go down
the stairs here. Go to the left to the next screen and follow this path
for the next few screens. You'll eventually find two treasure chests. Grab
them and follow the path for two more treasure chests. You'll eventually
reach a save point. Use it and head to the next screen. You'll catch up with

You'll be outside and a scene will explain what happened with Shirley and
why that girl has Shirley's Gemini Shell. During the conversation, Walter

Seems like one of the otters knows where Shirley is being taken. Moses

| Chapter 3: A Fateful Encounter |
O--------------------------------O
             (CH3)

To reach our next destination, the Ruins of Frozen Light. It's a long walk
through a huge canyon, so make sure you're ready. There are Egg Bear Cubs
as enemies here, and their Eres are needed for Will's Antishield Eres skill.
There's a duct outside the entrance, so activate it, and enter.

==============
RUINS OF FROZEN LIGHT
==============

You'll find yourself outside, with a handful of guards guarding the entrance.
Jay appears and tells you that there's another entrance, and that you must
pay him for him to tell you where it is. His price, you ask? His price is
that you risk your lives. Your party agrees to it, and pinpoints on the map
a place called the Great Hollow to the west.

So exit here to the world map, and make your way to the west to the Great
Hollow.

==============
GREAT HOLLOW
==============

The first thing you'll realize is that the Great Hollow pretty much lives up
to its name. It's great in size, and goes downwards. Just a small note, that
some of the enemies here are capable of casting Crystal Eres such as Volt
Arrow and Spread, which can do damage in the hundred range per hit, so make
sure you're well prepared.

Watch the scene and examine the platform, and it'll bring you down to the
next level. Go through the black field to get a new weapon for Chloe. Head
back to the fork and head up and left for a chest. Go back to the fork and
go right and grab the chest here for an Orange Gel. Follow the path until you
hit another black field. Go through it to get a new weapon for Senel. Go
back down and continue to follow the path, and you'll stumble across a chest.
Go past it for a save point. Save your game and head for the next platform.
Examine it to go down.

Head to the left for a couple of chests, and head back to the platform and
go to the right and go down for a chest. Follow this path left and then head
ip. Open the chest here and follow the path here until you reach the next
platform.

You'll reach the bottom of the Great Hollow, and you'll find yourself by a
river. Norma brings up the suggestion of a possibility of swimming, but Chloe
doesn't seem to like that idea. The scene will trigger back to Shirley and
Vaclav. They'll be in front of a huge red tablet with strange words indicated
in it, and it seems Shirley can read it. Vaclav brings up he's brought several
Merines' here before, but killed them because they refused to read the writing.

Once you regain control, go to the left and through the passageway. Will
starts to spaz over the bones on the ground, and then Moses gets on in the
act. Poppo then comes over to you, and invites you to his workshop.

==============
POPPO'S WORKSHOP
==============

Grab the two chests outside of Poppo's Workshop, and talk to the two otters
standing outside. The left one sells items, a Leather Cape, and food. The
other allows you to rest up. Rest up and head into the workshop.

Poppo will reveal his latest invention, the Poppo Mk. III. Chloe spazzes out
when she realizes you'll be going underwater in order to enter the Ruins of
Frozen Light. In order to increase the chance of success, Poppo will want a
horn from a Great Gaet. Once in control, examine the traffic cone to learn a
new recipe from Mimi. Use the save point and exit the workshop.

Head back to the bones and a scene will trigger. Norma finds a horn, and
Moses runs in and throws a spear at it, and then the Gaet will charge at you,
knocking Norma back. I'm sure that spear calmed it down.

-This guy has a lot of HP to knock off, is big, and most of all, he's one mean
yeller' bellied animal. Remember that new sword you got for Chloe at the
Great Hollow? It'll come in handy here, as this boss is vulnerable to Poison,
and with that insane amount of HP this early on, every HP deduction counts.
His most dangerous move is when he'll spin his tail around a few times, dealing
some decent damage. Using Climax Mode will help a lot in this battle. If
you're quick with your Eres, you can get over 70 hits while in Climax mode.
Just make sure to keep an eye on your HP before and after he does his tail
sweep.

-----------------------------

Poppo runs up and finds out that you guys agitated the Great One, as the otters
call it. Poppo will apologize to it and ask it for its horn. For some reason,
it allows Poppo to take it. Pffft. I'd freakin' step on them if they asked
me for it after I had a spear thrown at me.

You'll head back to the workshop and you'll find Jay there. Jay will tell you
it will take one night to get the horn on correctly, so Moses challenges Senel
to a swimming race. Outside, Senel and Moses will come back, with Senel
winning every race. A flashback will then occur of Senel, Shirley, and
Shirley's older sister, Stella. Stella and Shirley explains the ritual that
occurs here when a man proposes to a woman. Hehe. "Embracing" in the water
makes the water glow. I'm such a dirty boy.

The Poppo Mk. III will soon be finished, and Senel will be the captain of it.
Jay will tell you to look for a star on a wall once you reach the Ruins of
Frozen Light. The Poppo Mk. III will then take off. As you sail through the
water, your party decides they have some things they want to say. As you
near the end of your journey, water will start to come aboard the ship, and
Chloe will faint.

Once you reach the ruins, the Poppo Mk. III will sink. Well, it seems that
luck is on our side for once.

==============
RUINS OF FROZEN LIGHT
==============

Gotta love the music here. Head into the ruins and you'll find the Star on the
wall that Jay pointed out. Norma will poke around at it, and then kick it.
The wall will then open and the party will run through, only to find themselves
at the entrance of the ruins. Seems like Senel and the others were just a
guinea pig for Poppo's newest submarine.

Go back into the ruins and take the other door you see. Go to the right and
go through the black fields and grab the chest at the other end. Head back to
the entrance of this room and go left and keep going until you reach a chest.
Follow this path up.

Go left for two chests. Go back and head up through the black field for a
Miracle Gel. Go back and head to the right and up to find two more chests.
Keep going to the right to reach the next screen. Head through the black
fields here for two chests and head back down and go to the left and then
down. Activate the switch here. Go back up and go to the left and use the
save point here. Continue up and you'll run into your next puzzle booth.

None of the puzzle booths have been hard yet. This one is no exception.
Your objective again is to light all the crystals with the Sorcerer's Ring.
Use the reflectors at the correct angle to light the crystal at the top. Head
down the stairs and get the block out of the way so you can go further in.
Get the crystal, and then position the blocks so you can run across to the
final crystal at the bottom right corner. This puzzle booth was also easy,
so you shouldn't need much guidance.

Follow the path up, and you'll run into our next playfriend.

-This is your first challenging fight since the fight against Moses and Giet.
Gigant is a huge enemy that you can almost never knock off balance, so he'll
usually get his attacks off most of the time. He also can hit multiple times,
and the damage he hits you with is absolutely damaging, so you MUST guard in
this fight and don't melee for too long. The key to this fight is magic, which
will temporarily knock him off guard. Climax mode will REALLY help you out
in this fight if you're in a tight spot. Make sure to heal when you need to
also, and don't wait for Will to use First Aid. Just don't melee for too long
and you can probably avoid his attacks, and keep an eye on your melee attacking
character's HP, and you'll come out on top.

-----------------------------

Head up and you'll encounter a scene. Senel will run up and start screaming
and getting emotional, realizing that the person inside the water is Stella.
Vaclav will enter and explain to Senel what happened to Stella. Soon, you'll
engage in a fight.

You can't win this fight. After a minute or so, Vaclav will unleash a powerful
move which knocks out all your characters.

Watch the scene here, showing another flashback of what happeend to the village
Senel was at. Senel will then wake up, and you'll find out you're in the
Forest of No Return. Gee. I wonder what that could mean. Moses says that
the bandits are hiding out here, and he'll lead you to them. Stingle and
Cashel come down and chase after them.

==============
FOREST OF NO RETURN
==============

Like the name indicates, this place is a maze. If you get lost, Moses will
offer to help you out, but if you want all the items here, and a title for
Senel, don't let Moses help. I'll try to split all the directions into
different line breaks, so try to bear with me.

From where you start, go right, up and to the left. Grab the chest here and
go left.

Go left and up and save your game. Now go to the right.

On this screen, go up and right.

Watch the scene, go up for a chest, right for another chest, and keep going to
the right.

Grab the chest here, go right for another chest, and head back to the fork and
go up. There's a merchant here. Go to the right.

Go to the right.

Watch the scene, and go up and left.

Go left and down.

Go right through the black field for a chest, and go back to the fork and go
down, right, down, and right.

Go up and right for a War Javelin. Go back to the fork and go left.

Grab the chest and go up.

Go up until you reach a chest. Go back down and go to the right when you see
some Blue Butterflies.

Go down and right. Keep going to reach a save point. Use it and keep going
to the right.

Watch the scene here, and you'll be in a fight.

-This boss isn't all that tough. His main threat is that he'll charge at you,
but it shouldn't do too much damage. Try to pincer him and don't hold back
with any attacks. Using Climax mode will make this fight even easier. Either
way, you shouldn't have any troubles.

-----------------------------

Head on up and you'll run into Melanie. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SENEL! Oh wait, it
isn't Senel's birthday. So that must mean it's an ambush. How clever. There
are some more Armored Angelers by Melanie, meaning she's controlling them.
Soon, Vaclav will control the Legacy, and the first anime cutscene since the
beginning will trigger. Senel and the others will retreat during this process.

Watch the long scenes coming up, and Chapter 3 will come to a close.

| Chapter 4: The War-Torn Land |
O------------------------------O
            (CH4)

Head to the south to exit the Forest of No Return. If you didn't use Moses'
help, Senel will gain the title of Forest Guru.

There's a duct out here, so if you need anything, use it. To reach our next
destination, Maurits' Hermitage, you're gonna need to hug along the mountains
and then bend around them. Follow this path until you find some shallow water.
Trot across this and follow your map until you find a red dot.

==============
MAURITS' HERMITAGE
==============

Watch the scene here and enter. You'll run into Walter again. He tells
Maurits that he's off to find the Whisper Crystal. Seems important. Before
heading inside, go to the right to find a Christmas Tree. Examine it to find
Mimi. Go further to the right to find a Peddler. Upgrade your weapons and
armor here, as you haven't had the chance to do so in awhile.

Go back to the left and head inside. Watch the long scene concerning the
partys next move. Soon, morning will come. Save your game and head upstairs.
You'll learn something has happened to Walter, meaning the Whisper Crystal has
yet to be secured. Norma will then offer to get the Crystal for Maurits. That
is until she realizes where it's at. Your party will rejoin you, and a scene
with Vaclav will take place. Leave.

To find the Man-Eating Ruins, head east and go down a small slope once you come
across it. Follow this path until the mountains to your west come to an end.
Now head west and keep going and you'll eventually reached a spiral shaped
beach. Use the duct, and enter.

==============
MAN-EATING RUINS
==============

This part of the ruins is pretty straight forward, since there's only one way
to go. Follow the path until you find a wedding cake. Examine it to find
Mimi again. Go left from the cake for a chest. Get back onto the path and go
through the black field once you come across it for another chest. Follow the
main path to the next screen.

This path is also straight forward, so go up the ramps and onto the next
screen. Head to the right for a chest and through the black fields for a
couple more. Go up to find two more chests, and head up and to the left
through two more black fields for a chest. Go to the right, past the save
point for another chest. Go back to the save point and save. Head north and
you'll stumble across another puzzle booth.

This is the first puzzle booth that made me do a little thinking. Head up to
where the duct is, and shoot at the crystal that's in reach. To reach the
two crystals in the corner, grab the blocks, and push one of the blocks
inbetween the space between the duct and the platform. Push the other block
on the right side of the most right platform, and climb up the stairs and
position yourself on the block you just placed. Aim and shoot at the crystal.
Repeat for the left side, aim, and shoot. Get the other crystals by using the
reflectors and head through the duct.

You'll trigger a scene with Norma running torwards the bed. Senel pulls her
out and the bed comes alive, with another creature right behind it.

Diva will be able to petrify your characters, so make sure to keep an eye on
everyone in the party, and use a Panacea Bottle when needed. Usually the Diva
will stay by the Mimic Bed most of the time, so attacking the Diva without
rushing behind it will pose as a problem. Using Climax mode will be a huge
help in this fight. Once the Diva is gone, the Mimic Bed shouldn't be any
problem.

-----------------------------

Head north and you'll spot the Whisper Crystal. Moses will charge forward, and
start getting a bit... tense. The party runs up and it appears that there's a
woman sleeping. She introduces herself as Grune. Senel will snag the Whisper
Crystal and the party will leave.

Head back to the entrance of the ruins. Watch the scene and exit. Use the
duct to get back to Maurits' Hermitage.

==============
MAURITS' HERMITAGE
==============

Once you enter, you'll spot Jay again. Jay seems to be the strategic man from
response of Will's letter. Jay pinpoints out the strategy and plan, and what
the others will do.

Chloe will ask Senel to meet her once it gets dark. Head downstairs to the
beds and rest up. Senel will head outside and Chloe tells Senel that she wants
to train with him. Watch a scene involving Vaclav and Shirley, and then you'll
regain control. Head to the northeast.

==============
HERMIT HILL
==============

Use the heal point and run around, fighting random battles. After a few
battles, Senel and Chloe will take a break. Chloe admits she likes fighting by
Senel's side, as it's comforting for her, and Senel thinks the same way. No
make out scene, kiddies. Sorry.

You'll then have to fight some more battles. After a few more, Senel and Chloe
will rest again, and Chloe will ask what Stella was like. Another flashback
occurs with several different scenes with Stella and Senel. It seems that
Senel and Stella were in love. Soon, some noises come, and it seems that Norma
and Moses were spying on Senel and Chloe. The party goes back to the base,
and Jay comes out. Jay pinpoints the plan and what actions your party will be
doing.

Make sure to go save your game, and exit the Hermitage. Watch the scenes.

Exit to the world map and go in the direction of 1 o' Clock. It's easy to
find if you just follow the path by the mountains and around them.

==============
FRONT LINE
==============

Once you enter, Will suggests that you should rest up for the night. Watch the
several scenes, and you're left to pull a Solid Snake and sneak into Vaclav's
territory. However, if you're caught, you'll fight a battle, and then be sent
back to the beginning of that area.

Take a minute or two to learn all the guards movements before advancing to
get any chests or advancing upwards. It will come in handy. On the first
screen, there's a chest up and left from your starting point. Go back and go
to the right for two more chests. Continue up to reach the next screen.

Wait until the guard here moves northeast before blitzing in to examine the
odd looking table. I don't know why Mimi's here, but hey, more recipes for me.
Continue your way up to the next screen.

Grab the chest here, and head up further for two more chests. A little more
up are two more chests. Advance to the next screen.

Watch the scene. We're almost out of here. Go left for a chest and head up
and to the right for a few more chests. Watch for the guard to move and head
up onto the next screen.

Grab the chest here and go left for another chest. Go up and left for yet
another chest. Get back down and advance up to the next screen.

Use the save point here, and be patient as the guards here take a while to
seperate. Once they're seperated and you're out of their line of vision, make
a run for it.

Didn't think it would be that easy, did you?

-This guy is a huge pain in the ass. He's hard to stagger, meaning he'll get

all the way across the screen. All of this will add up the damage quickly,
so make sure to have plenty of Gels on hand. You'll want to take him down
quickly, since he'll charge most of the time. If you need to, use your Climax
mode. Just keep your health up and don't stop attacking him and you'll beat
him down eventually.

-----------------------------

Watch the scenes, involving Grune giving Senel a nice little hug. Senel's
such a pimp. It's gotta be the hair. Watch the scenes, and it's time to head
to our next destination. The Bridge Plains, which are right in front of you.

==============
BRIDGE PLAIN
==============

Make sure to rest up and get any items you need. Head up to find Jay and he'll
outline the plan. Another scene occurs, and you're left with two options.
Charging straight into the battle field, or dodging it, making it for less
encounters, but it's longer. It doesn't matter either way.

Pick a path and follow it, taking out any enemies along the way. Soon you'll
be treated to another scene. Keep following the path you took and you'll
eventually reach the end, finding Quppo and Poppo. However, the reunion comes

BRIDGE
==============

Watch the scene and enter. You'll run into Melanie. Seems like Jay as a plan.
The party rushes at Melanie, only to sidestep her as Jay unleashes a Smoke
Bomb right in front of her, clearing their escape. You trickly little devil
you, Jay.

Follow the path and head to the left for a chest. Also trigger the switch
here. Go back and up the hall and head to the left for another chest and
another switch. Trigger it and go back and up. Go to the right into another
room for yet another chest and switch. Go through the door at the end of the
hall.

Go to the left and to the right for four chests. Go up and to the right with
a chest and another switch. Hopefully you've been triggering all of them.
Go to the left and open the door. Follow this path down and you'll find a
save point. Go left and up for a chest. Up some more are three more chests
and a duct leading to a Puzzle booth.

This one isn't as tricky as the last one. Push the nearest block down and head
down to the furthest left block and push it down. Make a straight line with
the other blocks to reach the duct, and fill in the remaining spaces with the
other blocks.

Once you arrive on the other side, peek-a-boo, it's Melanie.

-Take out the Bear first, as it'll pose problems if you don't. Melanie is a
Fire user, meaning disable Jay's Pyre attack and anyone elses fire based
attacks for this fight. If you can, Pincer Melanie as her spells cover up
enough ground to damage your melee attacks if they're clustered together.
Just keep attacking her, but save your Climax mode for a later battle. Just
keep an eye on your HP and you'll win.

-----------------------------

Head up and you'll run into Cashel. This is a simple thing. Just go down from
the start and watch the scenes. Eventually, you'll end up in a fight.

don't use your Climax mode just yet. Pincer him like you did with Melanie,
and watch out for Volt Arrow. Other than that, he's not a threat, so just
waste away.

-----------------------------

Head through the door and you'll find Stingle, who rides the platform to the
top. Go up the left ramp for a chest, then go up the right ramp for another
chest, a heal point, and a save point. Save your game, and head up the ramp
to the next screen. The ramp spirals up from here, so follow it and you'll
eventually reach Stingle.

-Finally, a challenging fight. His sword combo is devastating, and if you
don't guard it, there's a chance you or one of your partners may wind up dead
at the end of it, so make sure to keep on your guard. Always keep an eye on
your melee fighters HP, as they don't like to guard. When an exclaimation
point appears above his head, brace yourself, as he's about to hurt you, big
time. Once he loses half his health, he'll start instantly killing your
characters, so this would be an excellent time to use Climax mode. If the
Climax mode and combo don't finish him off, quickly finish him before he has
time to kill you off again.

-----------------------------

Stingle escapes after the fight. Grab the chests and take the platform up.
Save your game and go through the door. Go to the right for a chest and switch
the color of the switch to red. Go up and right for another switch. Change
it to red and open the chest. Now go up for another chest and switch. Change
it to red and go back down and to the left and follow the bend until you
reach the next screen.

You'll want to change all the switches in this room to blue this time. Take
the paths for a couple of chests and switches. Remember to change them to
blue. Head up for the last switch and find your way to the next screen.

Change all the switches to green here. Go up and right for a chest and switch.
Go up and left for a chest and switch. Now go back down and left and follow
the path, using the save point at the end. Enter the door.

-Vaclav isn't as tough as Stingle, but he shouldn't be treated any less a
threat as Stingle was. Volt Arrow is a no-no in this fight, as Vaclav is
strong to the Thunder element. The first part of the fight isn't hard. His
attacks may hit for some good damage, but it won't be as near threatning as
it was for Stingle. Once Vaclav loses half of his health, be on guard, as
he'll be out to quickly eliminate your party. If you have Climax mode ready,
use it. Finish off Vaclav if he's still alive after that.

-----------------------------

Stella and Shirley are released from their little bubbles, and the Nerifes
cannon is fired again, until Stella's Teriques' comes out and redirects the
blast and destroys it completely. Will and Norma try to heal Stella, but to
no avail. Shirley's Brooch awakens Stella for a bit, until she passes out
and dies. That seriously made me sad. Going through all that, only to have
the person you love die right in your arms.

After the following scenes, Chapter 4 comes to a strong close.

==============
GRAVEYARD
==============

Senel will be in front of Stella's grave, when Harriet comes along, saying that
Will is looking for him. So let's go find Will.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Head for Will's house, and he'll give you some medals to give to the other
party members.

Norma is at the inn, where a sexy conversation seems to be happening, but it
seems Senel misunderstood Norma.

Chloe is at the Hospital.

Moses is at the park, which is at the northern section of town.

Grune is at the fountain.

All that's left is Jay, but it seems he's not around. Head back to Will's
house and you'll find Jay eavesdropping. Watch the scene and Fenimore will
come in to visit, asking you to go visit Shirley. Senel agrees to.

Before leaving town, check out the item and weapon/armor shops, as they have
new items and new weapons. Make sure to grab a few Lemon Gels if you have
room. 60% restoration is better than 30%, now isn't it? Also check out Mimi
in the item shop.

Exit town and let's head for the Village of the Ferines. It's not hard to
find. Go west from Werites and through the now drained lake and follow the
path south. There's a duct outside. Activate it and go on in.

==============
VILLAGE OF THE FERINES
==============

Walter comes out, and as usual, acts like a prick in front of you, and refuses
to let you in, until Will tells him that he has a message for Maurits. Walter
then makes a path to enter the village. We normally don't get warm welcomes
from Walter, so let's accept his invintation and go on in the village.

Walter leads you to Maurtis, and Maurits explains why Walter is acting like he
is. A messenger comes in, and tell Maurits something. Seems like Shirley is
too busy to get together with Senel. You'll then be taken to your rest
quarters. Examine the knight piece to find Mimi again, and she goes on a
rampage and attacks Moses, except it doesn't phase him. If you exit and go
south, you'll find a merchant by the entrance. Other than that, nothing else.
Go back down to the beds and rest up.

Watch the scene, and Jay will pick up a letter slid underneath the door. Seems
like it's for Senel. It asks him to be in the back courtyard and to go alone.
Go north and you'll trigger a scene in which Shirley attempts to tell Senel
that she loves him, but Senel stops her short, saying he still needs to be with
Stella.

Watch the following scenes and morning will come. Walter will indicate there
are some of Vaclav's men left over from the war, and Senel wants to go along
to finish them once and for all. To reach our next destination, head straight
north.

==============
HIDDEN FORTRESS
==============

Enter the Fortress. Follow the straight path until you come across some
black fields. Go through them all for a chest, and then go back and go up
the stairs and follow this path. You'll find two chests. Keep going and
you'll eventually run into the puzzle booth.

This is byfar the trickiest puzzle booth. Grab and move the first block so
you can go up the stairs and across it to reach the next platform. Go down
the stairs and you'll find a lot of blocks. Move them one by one to make a
pathway to the crystal. Run over to the crystal, shoot it and take the duct.

Norma will play the role of captain obvious and claim that you haven't seen any
soldiers yet. Use the save point to the left and check the jailcells for a
key and Apple Gel. Go right and up to the door and use the key.

Get the chest next to the red orb and go to the left. Open the fourth jailcell
for an Apple Gel, and keep going left through the black field for a chest.
Go back to the red orb and go to the right. Avoid the moving red circles on
the floor. These trigger the alarm. If you somehow trigger the alarm, examine
the red orb to disable it. Use the jailcells to keep safe as they pass by.
Get past the first one and go up and left. Examine the second jailcell for a
key. Go through the black field here for a chest. Go back to the right and
go up and through the door.

Go past the jailcells and go up and around until you see a black field. Open
the jailcell before it to find the key, and go through the black field for
another chest. Go to the right until you find the door.

You'll be in a library of sorts. The books here contain records of past
human experiments. Walter advances up as Senel gets pissed off that records
like these exist, since Stella was most likely part of this process. Go up to
find Walter. Seems like Walter brought you out here so you couldn't stop the
ritual Shirley was going to be in. Walter then takes a battle pose, until he
learns an army is after Shirley. Walter escapes, and the party tries to
follow him, only to be greeted by two Galfs.

agile and strong does not make this a fun fight. Try to keep your focus on
one Galf at a time and avoid alternating. Try to keep them away from your
magic users as well. The Galfs have the ability to jump across the screen and
damage your characters around 800 damage with their bite combos. If you can
get both of them together, then use Climax mode to damage them both at the
same time. Don't neglect looking at your parties HP, and use Lemon Gels to
heal since using Apple Gels won't cut it this time.

-----------------------------

Watch the following scenes, involving a book that Jay finds on the ground.
Senel demands he wants the book and snatches it from Jay. You're gonna need to
backtrack to the entrance of the dungeon yourself. Make sure to heal yourself
if you need to. Once you exit, our next destination is up north.

==============
ALTAR OF THE SEA
==============

Watch the scenes. Go up and take the first left you come across for a chest.
Go back and follow the path and go down at the fork for another chest. Go back
and follow the path and go through the black field for a chest. Go to the
next screen.

Head through the black field for another chest. Follow the path for another
chest. Keep going up. You'll find more dead bodies. The Gadorian Knight
tells Shirley she's under arrest for firing the Nerifes Cannon at his country.
Some Ferines try to block the soldiers, but are slain. When the soldiers go
to kill the other woman, Shirley jumps in the way, only to be pushed out of the
way by Fenimore.

Go to the right for a chest and follow the path around for another chest.
Go down and to the left. Go down and left again for another chest. Go up
and follow the path and you'll eventually see a save point. Use it and follow
the path to the next screen.

The scene switches back to Shirley and Fenimore, with Fenimore offering Shirley
one last bless. Shirley begs for someone to heal Fenimore, but no one goes in
to help her. Fenimore then dies. The scene switches back to Senel and some
guards running away. Hey, remember that thing from the beginning of the game?

strengths and weakness's here, as the Mammon doesn't have any. Just attack

-----------------------------

Run up the stairs to the Altar to find Maurits, Walter, and Shirley. Shirley's
hair is glowing, and Maurits starts to laugh all evil like. Shirley's teriques
appears, and Walter and Maurits' hair begin to glow. Walter then steps up,
wanting to finish this.

You can't win this fight, so have fun whacking him until he unleashes an attack
that downs your entire party.

After some talking, a purple flash comes over the screen, and the party is
confused on what happened. Soon, a blizzard will come and sweep the party to
the entrance. Grune appears. Some sentinels appear behind the party, and as
the party get ready to assault them, they find out one thing. They can't use
Eres anymore. The party then flees to Werites Beacon.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

As they appear in town, it appears that no one else can use Eres. So this is
what it means that Shirley took away the blessing of Nerifes. Moses runs off
to his counterparts whereas Will and Jay are called to report to Her
Excellency. Senel, Chloe, Norma, and Grune head off to Will's house, until
Senel collapses.

Senel wakes up in the inn after a flashback of Shirley and Senel. After some
long talking, you'll regain control. Go down the stairs and make sure to
save your game. Exit the inn, and you'll find the Gadorian Knight again,
arresting Chloe for treason and putting Senel under arrest as well. But before
that happens, Curtis and his new temps, Poppo, Quppo, and Pippo appear and
sing their little song. I think it's so cute how the otters lay on their back
like that.

Now, head back to the park (northern part of town) and take the north path
at the four way intersection to find Will and Jay. Seems like they felt they
needed to be here also. Moses then comes running in, saying he felt he needed
to be here too.

The party heads in, and hops onto the platform. The platform then starts going
down. The party walks around in an unfamiliar place. The sky seems to be
closed. Looks like we may be inside of the Legacy. Senel's hands start
glowing, and after a second of thought, he uses Demon Fist on Moses. Moses
freaks out, and Norma tests out her Eres on Moses as well. Will, Jay, and
Chloe also prepare their Eres on Moses, but Moses begs for them to point it
elsewhere. Poor guy. Just doesn't get any love. Seems like the party can use
Eres while inside the Legacy. Moses runs out to take on the sentinels, but
comes running back in saying his Eres stopped working again when he went back
up to land.

The party sits around and discusses what to do next. Grune then steps in and
says she'll fight alongside you. Grune joins the party now. The scene then
shifts to Walter, Maurits, and Shirley. Seems like Shirley knows that Senel
and the others are down in "The Fallen Lands".

Chapter 5 comes to a close.

O-----------------------------O
            (CH6)

==============
THE QUIET LANDS
==============

Head on over to the save point and open the chest. You can use the elevator
to back up to Werites if you need to stock up on items. There's also some new
gear at the armor shop.

Our first destination is in the southern part of this place, the Fire Monument.

==============
FIRE MONUMENT
==============

Norma will kick the switch here and a platform will appear before you. Before
entering, turn off all fire based spells or Eres that your party members know.
You don't want to get negative GRADE in every battle, do you?

This place is very very linear. It's just one line going up with a few twists
and turns, but it's just like a straight path. Head up the ramps and down the
ramps and pick up the chests along the way until you reach a door. Watch the
scene and use the save point here. Head on through the door.

There are six swithces in this room. Go up and go right for a chest, and a
switch. Now go left for another chest and switch. Go back to the right and
go up. Go right again for another chest and switch, then left for another
chest and switch. Go up once more and right and left for two more chests and
switches. Go examine the big door and it'll disappear. Enter and watch the
scene.

Soon you'll be in this twisted space place, where a Gaet comes flying out and
is ready to attack your party.

-This guy is huge, but not that tough. Due to his size, it's easy to land
your hits on him, so make sure you don't hold anything back in this fight. If
you keep attacking it, he'll guard most of the time, taking his time away from
attacking you. With all that said, you shouldn't have any problems with this
fight.

-----------------------------

Watch the scene involving the crystals you found along the way, and you'll be
warped back to the beginning of the Monument. Poppo, Pippo, and Quppo then
come running in. They tell you they've made a camp. Well that's always a good
thing. Exit and head back to where you started in the Quiet Lands and down
to the beach to find Coast.

==============
COAST
==============

The party just collapses on the ground once they arrive. It's then dark
outside and they start talking, and a flashback of Senel and Shirley occur.
Watch the scenes, and then you'll regain control. There's a merchant next to
the save point here, so you can use him to stock up on items if needed.

Exit Coast and head northeast for our next destination, the Ice Monument.

==============
ICE MONUMENT
==============

Norma will kick the switch to make the platform appear. Walter then appears,
ready to bring your party down. He unleashes an attack, which is somehow
weakened down here rather than on the Legacy itself. The party gets ready to
fight Walter, until Shirley's Teriques' appears and takes Walter away. Before
entering the Monument, turn off all ice based spells or Eres your party members
have to avoid getting a lot of negative GRADE.

Just like the Fire Monument, the Ice Monument is just one straight line to the
end of the dungeon. However, avoid the ice spikes that pop out of the ground
if you don't want to get hurt. As you trot along, open the chests and watch
the scenes as you run into the crystals. You'll soon find the door. Save your
game and head on through.

Like the Fire Monument, there are six chests and six switches here in the same
exact place. However, you don't want to hit all the switches this time, but
grab all the chests. In order to open the door at the top, you need to only
activate the switches on the left side of the room. Once you do so, the door
will disappear and a cutscene will occur. You'll be in that space like place
again, and another Gaet will appear.

-Just like the previous Gaet, this one is huge and easy to land hits on, but
this one is a bit tricker. After some time, the Gaet will dive into the
ground. You'll know where it's going to appear because your party members will
run to the spot. Make sure to avoid that spot, because once it surfaces, it
will hit your party members with a tail attack that does some damage. He'll
then dive back under, and resurface. Also watch out for Freeze Lancer. Just
keep attacking him like you did with the other to prevent him from doing too
many attacks, though.

-----------------------------

Watch the scenes and you'll be back at the entrance of the Monument. Another
tablet will appear. You'll take it. Now exit and backtrack to the Coast.

==============
COAST
==============

Your party will collapse again once they reach Coast. Jay brings up he knows
where Shirley's hiding out, and Norma points out it's name, saying how tough
it is to get inside of it. Watch the following scene and another flashback
will occur of Senel and Shirley. The scene then shifts to Shirley, Walter,
and Maurits. Walter wants to know why Shirley stopped him from finishing off
Senel, and then Maurits explains why.

Soon you'll regain control. Our next destination is in the southeast portion
of the land, the Thunder Monument.

==============
THUNDER MONUMENT
==============

You'll enter and a bolt of Lightning will crash down, scaring Moses and Chloe.
As usual, Norma will kick the switch to get the platform up and running.
Make sure to turn off all Electric type attacks that your party members possess
since you don't want a lot of negative GRADE.

You'll come across black clouds. If you examine them, you'll be warped to a
different place. Go to the one near you and take it for a chest. Go back and
go up the ramp and open the chests here and use the black cloud to warp again.
You'll find another crystal. Go up for the next cloud and go down the ramp
to reach the next crystal. Go down the ramp and take the right warp here to
find the third Crystal. Take the warp back and use the left warp this time.
Follow the path to reach the door.

Some lightning will strike the ground here, and Chloe attempts to cling onto
Senel... only to find out Moses beat her to it. See? What'd I tell you?
Senel's such a pimp with both genders.

Save your game and head on through. As usual, grab the six chests. In order
to open the door at the top, you need to activate both switches on the first
and third floors. Do so and examine the door and it'll disappear. Watch the
scenes and you'll be back in that space like place, where yet another Gaet will
appear.

difference is the amount of HP he has and that he'll cast Volt Arrow. Aside
from his diving, this Gaet is a push over, so go ahead and wail on it.

-----------------------------

Watch the scenes and you'll be back at the entrance of the Monument with
another tablet at your feet. Head out and head back for Coast.

==============
COAST
==============

Watch the scenes, where Jay reveals who he believes is watching over the party
and who led them here. Another scene occurs with Jay, with him saying he may
be the one that has to take care of Shirely has he's had "experience" in that
department.

Save your game and head out for the final Monument, the Earth Monument, which
is in the western section of the Quiet Lands.

==============
EARTH MONUMENT
==============

As usual, Norma will kick the switch to get the platform up and running, so
head inside. Watch the scene and advance through. This area is also linear,
but there are no random encounters here. Avoid the moving black squares on the
ground, so make sure to time yourself and not to hurry. Make your way to the
crystals and grab the chests along the way until you reach the door.

Norma and Grune will try to cheer the party up by asking Nerfies what color
Grune's underwear is. And the answer is... Grune forgot to wear some underwear
today. Save your game and head on through.

There are random encounters in this room. Grab all the chests as usual. In
order to open the door at the top this time, you're going to need to activate
the right switches on the first and third rows, and the left switch on the
second row. Once you do so, go examine the door and it'll disappear. You'll
then see the last crystal, and you'll be warped again. Watch the scene and
you'll be in the space like place again.

-This fight is the same as the previous ones. He's big, but not as mean. The
only thing you'll need to watch out for is when he gets low on health, he'll
use an attack that comes out of his mouth. Guard against that and keep
attacking him and you're good to go.

-----------------------------

Watch the scene and you'll be warped back to the beginning, and the final
tablet will appear right by your feet. You'll grab it. Exit and head back to
Coast.

==============
COAST
==============

The party will discuss the Cataclysm, the event that almost sunk the entire
mainland last time. Senel will claim he can get through to Shirley, but Jay
quickly disagrees. Soon, a bright light will appear, and the party will want
to head off to it. Before going, make sure to rest, as your health won't be
restored. Once ready, head directly east to the opposite shore to find the
Geoglyph Area.

==============
GEOGLYPH AREA
==============

Once you appear, you'll find this stone slab thing into the ground with four
empty slots. Jay points out that the tablets should probably go into that
slot, so you're left to figure out the order. If Left is 1, and Right is 4,
then the correct order to put the Tablets in the slots is 3, 2, 1, and 4. Just
like the order you found them.

Soon, Will's nails start to glow. Nerfies wants to talk with Will, and then
grants him a great power in which he can feel in his body. Moses's nails
glow next, then Norma's, then Jay's, then Grune's, then Chloe's, then Sen...
wait a minute, Senel's nails didn't glow? Seems like Nerifes has rejected
Senel. Senel then goes into temper tantrum mode and runs out into the ocean
and starts yelling at it, and then the bright light suddenly disappears.
The whole party is as shocked and confused as Senel is. Nothing else to do
here, so let's head back to Coast.

==============
COAST
==============

One by one, your party members will say they have something to do and tell
Senel to get some rest. Senel is then all alone. Go to the carpet and rest.
The scene switches to the rest of your party gathered by the elevator. Jay
points out if they can't convince Shirley, that he'll be the one to kill her,
hence he'll put all the pressure on his shoulders.

Senel thinks about Stella again, and Chloe comes in. Remember that book you
got back at the Hidden Fortress? Senel hands Chloe the book, telling her that
his name was in that book to capture Shirley, that he was a part of Vaclav's
army. He was recruited as a war orphan, and went into his first mission at
the age of 12, which was to abduct Shirley. Being 12, the Ferines didn't look
at him to be suspicious. Once he met Shirley and Stella, he spent time in the
village, only to forget about his main objective. Shirley got sick after
failing the Rite of Accession, and Stella and Senel went out to find an ore
that was said to cure any disease. They found it, but they were followed,
which is how Vaclav's army found the Ferines' village. The village was then
attacked, and that's when Senel came to realize that his Eres was just a load
of horsecrap. Apparently, Shirley didn't know about Senel's past, but Stella
knew, but entrusted Shirley to him anyways.

Chloe slaps Senel, and claims that she knows why the Nerifes rejected him.
She claims he doesn't even know himself and that he's clinging onto the past
instead of looking ahead to the future, and is using Stella as an excuse.
Chloe tells him that he knows he needs to help Shirley. Senel realizes that
Chloe is right, and tells himself that he has to let go of the past, and press
on, and that he'll get Shirley back to her old self. The ocean starts glowing
again, and Senel's nails start glowing, and then gets the blessing from
Nerifes.

The party comes back, and Senel asks for one last chance to convince Shirley.
He says if he can't, that he'll finish it by his own hand. Jay pinpoints a
passageway in order to enter Mirage Palace, and then asks the party to meet him
at the Elevator. Let's do so.

==============
ELEVATOR
==============

Once you come in, Jay will fiddle around with a switch. A huge door will
open, showing some rails. Big whoop. Jay presses the switch again, and a huge
train, known as a Tram, comes out, and the Oresoren come out of it. Awww.
Otters riding in a train. How cute. They claim that you can easily enter
Mirage Palace this way. Watch the following scenes, and Chapter 6 will come
to a close.

O-------------------------O

          (CH7)

Enter Mirage Palace.

==============
MIRAGE PALACE
==============

This is the final chapter of the main quest, so playtime is over. From the
start, go left for a chest, then right and up and follow this path. Go through
the next black field down for a chest. Go up and left to reach the next
screen.

The black fields here are a shortcut and guard no chests. Either path you
take, follow it to the next screen. You'll find yourself in a new area.
Watch the scene and save your game. Head up and left for a chest. Examine the
monuments here to be warped. Examine the one near you for another chest.
Examine it again and go back to the save point and go down for another chest.
Use the monument to warp. Go all the way down to the next screen.

Go down past the black field for a chest, then up for another. Go past that
chest for another, and examine the warp next to it. Grab the chest here and
follow the path to trigger a scene with Walter. Walter wants to leave, but
he has to guard Shirley, so two other Ferines decide to do the work for him.
Senel will notice something coming, meaning it's time for another fight.

-----------------------------

O----------------O
| ZEPHYR LUCIFER |
O----------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 33,162 |
O----------------O----------O

-This fight is pretty easy. His attacks aren't damaging at all, but since it's
of the Zephyr race, it'll drop down from the air and knock you on your back,
which can get quite annoying. Other than that, just attack it and it'll fall
quickly.

-----------------------------

The two Ferines controlling the Zephyr run off, leaving you to find your way
to Shirley. Go to the left to find a chest. Go back and then go up and left
for another chest. Go back and then take the right path and follow it until
you reach a heal point and save point. Make good use of them. Go up and
left and through the black field fo ra chest. Go down through another black
field and then left to reach the next screen. Go up past the black field for
a chest. Up again is another chest past a black field. Go back down and
go down the path here. Go through the next black field for another chest.
Go up and follow the path and you'll eventually reach your next puzzle booth.

Push the three blocks near you off the platform, and rearrange them so that
you can stand on them and reach the crystal. Now rearrange the blocks so that
you make a pathway to the other side where three more blocks await. Push those
down and make an L shape to reach the other crystal. Now to reach the duct,
take all six blocks and form a bridge on the left side of the room so you can
run across them to the duct.

This part is a bit tricky. It's sort of like a maze. If you get lost, Will
offers his help. Just like the Forest of No Return, if you reject Will's
help, Senel will earn a title at the end of the maze. To reach the exit, take
the left warp each time. However, to reach all the chests. Follow these
directions. Use the first warp. From there, use the one on the left to find
a chest. Use the right warp this time until you reach a red dot on the wall.
Use the left warp for a chest, then the right for another chest. Use the
bottom and then the top warp to get back at the beginning. Now use the left
warp everytime to reach the exit.

Go up and left past the black fields for two chests. Go to the right through
another black field for two more chests, and then go up and left to reach the
next screen. Go right through a black field for a chest, then left through
another one to find a chest. Make your way upwards, and go up the stairway.
Use the heal point and save point, because after a huge stairway like that,
you just know someone's waiting for you.

Walter is there to greet you, but instead of open arms, he has his weapon ready
for you.

| HIT POINTS | 55,270 |
O--------------O----------O

-Finally, the showdown with Walter. Walter isn't going to play nice this time.
The main thing you'll want to watch out for is his physical combos, which
can leave marks if you don't guard. He also tends to use them a lot, so if
you knock him down, stand back as he'll most likely try to combo you again.
Try to keep him on one side of the screen, away from your magic users, because
you'll be needing to heal in this fight a couple of times. Cornering him
sounds like the best solution, but there's a good chance your combo will break
off and he'll combo you instead. Just wait for an opening to attack and do so.
Just keep an eye on your HP and you should come out on top.

-----------------------------

Walter collapses, but gets his wings out and flies away to Shirley. Head up
through the door to find the throne room, and Shirley. Walter lands and limps
his way to Shirley, only to collapse before reaching her. Watch the scenes,
and you'll be in control again. Go through the door to the right of the
throne and witness the rising of the Wings of Light. Soon, the party sees a
light heading into the Wings of Light, and the Oresoren appear, saying that
it's the Trail of the Heavens, a Oresoren legend. You'll soon appear by the
Tram, and Jay fiddles with a switch again, and a light appears that leads to
the Wings of Light. The party is skeptical, but Jay tells them that he and the
Oresoren will test it out, and that it should take one night. So the only
thing to do now is go to Werites Beacon.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Norma wants to throw a party, and sets the location at the Fountain Plaza.
Head for the Fountain, as all the stores are closed at night. Watch the
several scenes, and then it'll be morning and you'll be by the Tram. The
Oresoren give you one last chance to stock up on items before they bring you
to the Wings of Light. Let's take their suggestion into consideration. The
weapon shop has one new weapon for Norma, and the armor shop has some new armor
for your party. Mimi is at the Bakery. Bake some breads that'll help heal
your HP in large amounts, as the battles in the Wings of Light can get pretty
heated. Once you're ready, head back to the Tram and talk with the Oresoren.
Choose to go to the Wings of Light.

==============
WINGS OF LIGHT
==============

This is it. The final dungeon of the main quest. This is your last chance to
get any supplies. The random fights in here can be pretty brutal, as some of
the enemies have powerful spells capable of wiping out a single character.

It would be a good idea to put Norma's Revive on one of the two available
shortcuts on your Eres menu. Use the save point here and take the elevator.
Follow the path here and go through the black field when you see it for a
chest. Right and up lead to the next area.

Go to the left for a chest and go up and right past the black field for another
chest. Now go left through a black field for another chest, and go back and
down. Grab the chest here and go left and down to reach the next area. Go
down and right and through the black fields for a chest, and then through the
other set of black fields for another chest. Go back left and then continue
going down and then turn to the right for yet another chest. Go back and
follow the path down here until you reach a puzzle booth.

This is a pain in the ass. This puzzle booth is all about timing. You need
to time it just right and shoot your Sorcerer's Ring off the moving reflectors
to hit all the switches. There are two other stairs in the back of the room
which are hard to see. You'll need to use those as well to reach one of the
crystals. Just time it right and shoot your ring so you light all the crystals
to open the duct.

Go up and left past a black field for a chest. Go to the right and use the
teleporter to get onto the green path. Follow it to reach the next screen.
Take the teleporter down and follow the path until you reach a chest. Go back
to the teleporter you just saw and take it and go up to reach the next screen.

Go through the black field for a chest. Follow the path as it goes up and to
the left and go down to the next screen. Follow the path left for a black
field and another chest. Follow the path as it bends up and around to the
right and take the teleporter to the green path. Take the elevator.

You'll find yourself in a new room. Go to the right and through the door to
find another elevator. There's a light here that's the same color as Shirley's
Teriques. We're almost there. Use the heal point and save point here. Follow
the path to the next area. Go to the right and open the chest when you come
to it and keep going right. Once the path bends, take it and keep going to
reach the next screen.

Follow the path here and grab the chest when you come to it. Keep following
the path until you see some blue metal again. Follow it to the next screen.
Keep going and going until you find a chest. Keep going to find another chest.
Go down and left now.

You'll eventually run into Walter, and it seems he has a new pet he wants you
to play with.

Walter then collapses, and dies. Go up for a chest, and go left and follow the
path to the next screen. Go down to find a heal point and save point. Use
them both. Hopefully you've gotten everything you need. When you're ready,
follow the bridge up. Figures that it'll take you about a few minutes to reach
the end of it. Talk about overdramatic.

You'll enter where Shirley is, but Maurits is standing in your way. The stupid

-Maurits isn't playing around this time. He'll still do his staff combo, which
is a bit more powerful, but what makes him dangerous is his ability to cast
Indignation and Aqua Laser which are powerful. Also, he'll use an area attack
to knock down your characters or stun them momentarily, so you'll need to keep
your guard up. Don't rush into battle yet. Wait to see if he's going to
cast a spell. If he is, get ready to dodge it if it's aimed for Senel. If
not, run in and combo him. This fight is about patience and strategy rather
than brute force. If you rush in, your health will be drained quickly. I
know it sounds odd, but it's the best way to fight him, and you'll surely come
out on top if you be calm and stay patient.

-----------------------------

Maurits gets back up, then groans and falls back to the ground. You'll regain
control. If you don't feel very confident, go back out and save your game.
Once ready, go up to Shirley. Shirley's Teriques binds your party. After some
talking, Chloe and the others use their blessings to free Senel. Senel slowly
staggers his way up to Shirley, embraces her, and says he trusts her. Shirley
suddenly returns to her former self. As they go back, a bolt of lightning hits
Shirley. Seems like Maurits is at it again. Maurits then calls forth Nerfies
and then becomes engulfed in it. Maurits grabs Shirley and keeps her by him.
Senel gets Shirley, and the Quiet Nerifes talks with Senel. Soon a rainbow
color appears, and Senel seems to be weakened. Your other party members arise,
ready to do battle.

-This is it. The final battle of the main quest. He's got a lot of HP to
knock down, and him being difficult and stubborn doesn't add to the fun factor
of this. Nerifes will cast spells such as Aqua Laser and Ray, and fall from
the ceiling and land, making a huge area splash heavily damaging anyone in its
radius, and to make it worse, that's unguardable. Nerifes is like a rubber
band. He can easily bend over to slap your characters, and he'll bounce around
a lot, shaking the screen, trying to make you lose track of him. After some
time, he'll form into a ball and float in the air. He's invincible like this
and will cast three spells before reforming. Needless to say, this fight is
tough and you'll need to have a healthy supply of Lemon Gels, Pineapple Gels,
Miracle Gels, and perhaps Elixers. Make good use of your Climax Mode here and
use your Climax bottles if you need to. Keep your distance at certain times
and rush in to attack if he's being staggered. Although the AI isn't bright,
that doesn't mean you have to rush in and attack with them. Attack him when
it's safe, or else he'll combo you. Just keep your health up, avoid his magic,
and above all else, be patient, and you'll come out of this fight victorious.

-----------------------------

I won't spoil the ending for you. Watch the credits, and you'll be able to
save your game, enabling you to do the character quests.

Congratulations! You've beaten the main quest of Tales of Legendia. I hope
you're ready for some more action in the character quests.

DOWN THE CLIFF
==============

The scene opens up with Senel and Shirley, ready to fight an Egg Bear. Finish
it, and it'll get back up for another round. Finish it again, and it'll get
back up for another round, then it'll fall for good. Senel will tell you to
check in with Will. Grab the two chests here and exit to the south and head
for Werites Beacon.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

You'll run into Harriet once you come into town, and as usual, she's in a pissy
mood. Senel asks where Will is and Harriet says he went to see Musette. Well,
let's head to Musette's house. Once you go up her stairs leading to her house,
Will comes out and greets you. Will tells Shirley Musette wants to see her.
Senel discusses with Will about the Egg Bear that kept getting up. Will asks
you to go to Port-On-Rage, as Chloe is supposed to be back today. There's
some new items in the weapon/armor shop and the Synthesis shop is open in the
Item shop. When ready, head for Port-On-Rage.

==============
PORT-ON-RAGE
==============

The boat will be there when you arrive, and some people come off and walk by
you. Chloe then shows up and greets Senel and Shirley. Soon, some screaming
occurs and your party rushes off to see what's causing it. When you arrive,
two Lizardmen are attacking a young woman. You'll get in a battle with them,
so finish them. The two seems grateful and claim they're off to Werites
Beacon since the young girl seems to be sick. Senel offers to escort them and
the man introduces himself as Arnold. Head back to Werites.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

After some talking, an old man comes and pushes Chloe out of the way, and asks
where the Graveyard is. Shirley offers to escort him. Head to the Graveyard
to find Norma. Apparently Norma knows who that man is, and throws a hissy fit,
but she doesn't want to share who he is. Leave the Graveyard to find Norma
again, still pissy. All of a sudden, Curtis shows up. Sure didn't miss him
one bit. He says he has something to show you, and wants you to go to the bar
at the inn, and down the stairs you couldn't go down before... for sake of
love. Methinks he's had one too many self sessions with himself.

Head for the inn and go down, and you'll find Giet. So that must mean Moses
is around here somewhere. The receptionist at the arena shoves Senel into the
cage. Senel's opponent appears into the cage, who happens to be Moses. Seems
like Moses doesn't mind fighting Senel. Everyone cheers for Senel, and then
Moses complains he has no cheering crowd, until someone shouts out that Moses
needs to die. Hmm... I wonder who that could be.

-Unlike the previous fight with Moses, there are two differences. One, he has
a lot, and I mean a lot more HP, and two, he's much easier this time around.
The key to this fight is cornering him. Since Moses's attacks usually fly
through the air at a set angle, run at him and stay right by him and you'll
avoid just about all of his attacks. Just knock his health down from there
until he goes down.

-----------------------------

Seems like Moses was tricked to fight in the arena as well. Jay comes down
the stairs. Seems like Jay was the one rooting against Moses. Gee, who
would've guessed.

Going back to Will's house, Grune is outside and it seems she's planting
something into the ground. Head inside into Will's house. Will brings up the
topic of the monsters becoming more fierce and more violent. A huge earthquake
then appears and Curtis and Isabella appear, saying Musette wants them to
investigate the cause of the earthquake and that they're probably coming from
Lumen Spring. Senel then recieves the Sorcery Scanner, which can detect hidden
items and rare monsters when used. Use the L2 button to use it. Check the
inn to find Mimi, and then head out through the west exit to Fallingwater.

==============
FALLINGWATER
==============

Follow the path here and grab the chests. Along the way, Norma will point out
something and use the Scanner to find an item on the ground. Continue on and
she'll use it again, but this time you'll have to fight a monster. Keep going.
You'll run across the save point eventually. Save your game and use the
scanner by the tree next to the save point to find an Elixer. Continue on
down the path until you reach Lumen Spring.

-This fight was the first time I actually got the Game Over screen. You need
to be on your toes and quick with your attacks. His attacks hit you for high
damage and his combos do even more, making this fight a lot harder. Having
Revive on one of the shortcuts and spamming it will help greatly. Try to keep
your distance from him from time to time, especially when he's using an attack
when a black aura like thing surrounds him. Keep an eye on your melee
attackers HP and use Climax mode when you feel you need to. If anybody dies,
immediately revive them and heal them. You're going to need everyone alive to
take him out as painlessly as possible, although I doubt you'll be able to win
without enduring any pain. Just watch out for his attacks and combo him when
you get an opening, and it'll fall eventually.

-----------------------------

The Egg Bear gets back up, but not before Moses and Giet attack it, knocking
it back down. Your party will head back to town and you'll get a chance to
save your agme. Do so, and the scene will switch to Harriet at Vista Point,
looking at some flowers. Shirley goes into Will's house to wake Senel up.
Harriet starts yelling again, and wants to go to Musette's house. The start
of our first character quest is about to begin.

Harriet throws another hissy fit which seems to last all day. Watch the
following scenes, and Senel will hear a baby crying. He rushes off, and the
first thing that comes out of Shirley's mouth is "It's not mine." It may be
just me but I found that quite amusing. The baby was handed to Harriet by
two strangers. Senel notices a note on the baby which reads that the parents
are going to kill themselves.

Go outside and you'll run into Chloe and the young girl again. Senel and
Shirley are asked if the baby is theirs, and they quickly deny it. Senel asks
what they're doing, and Chloe says they're taking a walk, but it seems that
the girl claims that it's a date. Hmm.. curious maybe? Who knows. Chloe will
tell you she'll help you look for Will when she takes her back to the hospital.
Then a few seconds later, Will appears. Damn, Chloe's pretty good at finding
people. Watch the rest of the scene and Will brings up they're heading for
the Great Hollow. Guess we know where we have to go now. Stock up, and head
out and take the duct to the Great Hollow.

==============
GREAT HOLLOW

The layout is the same as before, so you should know the way. However, the
chests are restocked, so make sure to open them as you come across them. When
you reach the second floor, a scene will trigger with the baby crying and then
Will takes it and calms it down and explains to Harriet that babies are very
sensitive to emotions and act accordingly to the persons emotions that's
holding it. Will claims Harriet was like that, always kicking Will and
screaming. Head for the next elevator that goes down, and you'll find the
babies parents, seemingly trapped by a monster. Time to get to work.

The parents thank the party and then Will gives a tear jerking speech on the
joys and responsibilties of being a parent. Will then does a happy dance by
the Ancient Pups body. Head to the left to find Poppo's Workshop. Grab the
two chests here and use the right Oresoren to rest up. Head up to where you
fought the Gaet earlier in the game and use the Scanner to find a Siren, a
rare monster. Take it out, and make your way back up the Grand Hollow and back

Harriet goes to pick up the Lesser Pup, and she gets it, but it puts up a fight

and just automatically blames Harriet for it. Harriet explains how it happens
and Will just becomes even more furious, calling her hairpain a little thing.
Harriet then just explodes at him, and says that he should've died instead of
her mother and then runs off. Watch the long scenes and morning will come.

WATERWAYS
==============

I was hoping that I would never have to come back to this god forsaken dungeon
again. And to make this visit even worse, there are Mandrake type of enemies
in here that will cast Big Bang and Extension which can do 1,000 or more damage
to those caught in it. Now then, let's begin.

Go to the left to find a save point. Follow this path through the black fields
for chests. Once you can't go any further, backtrack to the save point and
go right and down and follow thi spath to reach the next screen. A golden
Egg Bear notices the party runs off, and Will isn't even phased by it. Seems
like he's pretty determined. Grune notes that something smells awful, and the
party immediately turns to Moses. Poor Moses, always being blamed for
everything. Such is the life of a bandit, though.

Go the way Will went after the scene to the next screen. Go down the stairs
past the black field here to enter the lower part of the previous area for a
chest. Make your way to the next screen and track through the black fields
for two chests. Go back the way you came and head up the stairs and follow
the path as it bends to the right. Use the heal point and save point here.
Open the door near it and use the Scanner on the symbol on the floor to find
that golden Egg Bear. Once it's done, head back out and continue around the
path. Open the chest when you come to it. Go down some more stairs and go to
the left and up some more stairs.

Keep following the path. Open the chest you come across and go right at the
fork and then up for a chest. Go back and go all the way to the right for
another chest. Head back to the left to find another chest and go up the
stairs here and into the puzzle booth.

The puzzle booth is the same as before, so solve it as you did before. Exit
the puzzle booth and go down past a black field. Go up and right. Go all the
way to the right for anotehr chest. Go back to the path and head for the chest
past the black fields. Go down through another black field for another chest.
Go down and left for another heal point and save point. You'll find some
black mist, which suddenly forms into Will.

-This fight can be pretty brutal. Dark Will casts most of the spells that your
Will can cast, and can instantly break your guards with a thrust of his
hammer. His spells land for good damage, as do his attacks. However, he'll
spend most of his time casting, so use that to your advantage to attack him.
At all costs, keep him away from your magic users (espeically Norma) and dodge
his spells the best you can. Keep at it to win.

-----------------------------

Watch the scenes and you'll get the chance to save. Do so.

You'll be back in Werites Beacon, and Musette tells you that Harriet is
missing. Will has a clue where she might be and the party decides to stalk...
I mean follow him. The scene switches to the Vista Point with Harriet sitting
down, looking out into the sky. Will comes in and sits next to her. Will
tells Harriet what her mother was like before she was born, about how she used
to come here all the time, after a fight, or when she was happy. Soon, it gets
darker, and Will tells Harriet he wants to show her something, a flower that
he and Amelia discovered. He tells her not to cry once he tells her the name.
A cutscene occurs with the flowers blooming. A faint voice of Ameila comes
up, and counts to three. Once it hits three, Will tells Harriet the name of
the flower, which is Harriet, and Harriet then starts to cry. Soon, they
return home, and Harriet tells Will to let her go in first and not to come in
until she says it's okay to. When she tells him to come in, she opens the door
and says the one thing Will wanted to hear; "Welcome home, Dad." Awww.

Save again. Watch the long, several scenes, involving Norma's teachers grave.
Soon, Norma asks you to meet at the Fountain Plaza. When you arrive, she asks

You should remember the way to go, and where the chests are in here, so go

fiddles around with it, and a clicking noise occurs, which opens a trap door
underneath Moses, sending him to the bottom. Poor Moses. He just doesn't get
any love at all, does he?

Head up to the next screen. Again, you should know your way to the save point

spaces. Make your way to the save point and head on up. Remember this room?

Senel goes in to check on Norma, but being the stubborn girl she is, she fled

Go up the first fork then to the right at the next one.

Go right.

Go up.

Go left.

Use your scanner in one of the craters to find some Elven Boots. Go down.

Go left.

Use the heal point here and go left.

Go left and down from the merchant, then go right for a chest and keep going

Grab the chest and go right for a chest. Go back and go down.

Use the heal point and save point. Go down and left for a chest. Go back to

You'll eventually find Chloe, and an injured Arnold. The mist is still around
Chloe and soon forms into a younger version of her. Senel talks some sense
into Chloe and she fights off the mist and turns her sword on the young version
of herself. The mist then reforms into Chloe's current form, and our next
opponent is right in front of us.

-This is a very tough fight. Dark Chloe fights the exact same way the real
Chloe did when you fought her, but only this time, this Chloe is a lot stronger
and doesn't stagger a whole lot. You'll need to know when to rush in to
attack and when to stay back. Having Norma use Revive all the time is great,
but use items so that she'll cast magic every now and then to stagger her.
Once you see Dark Chloe stagger, run in and quickly get a combo off, and before
the combo breaks, use Climax mode to damage her some more. If you do this, you
can deal a great amount of damage to her, and possibly get over 100 hits if
you haven't yet. Just make sure to heal your other characters yourself if you
need to, and keep her away from Norma or any of your other spell casters.
Once Climax mode comes to an end, give yourself some space, and keep using
healing items until she staggers again, then run in and combo her again. Make
sure to have a healthy supply of Life Bottles, Lemon Gels, and Pineapple Gels
on hand, because having your other characters use their Eres will help a great
deal in this fight.

-----------------------------

Chloe wanders off again, and Senel says he'll go get her. It starts raining
and Senel goes to find her. Senel gives a heart warming speech, and a nice
cutscene occurs with Chloe resting on Senel's back. Soon, Senel and Chloe
arrive back in town. Chloe tells everyone she's leaving, until Shirley steps
in and slaps her straight across the face. After some more talking, you'll
be able to save.

Watch the following scene and you'll need to go to the hospital. Do so and
you'll run into that creepy man that tells you something odd, and then
disappears. Watch the scene here and Csaba will run in, telling Moses that
some more of their men was attacked. Csaba indicates that everyone is thinking
that Giet's the one doing it, but Moses sticks up for Giet. With that, Moses'
character quest begins.

Make your way through the black fields, getting the chests and go onto the next

Save your game and head onto the next screen. Make your way to the save point

Upon entering, you'll find possibly the culprit.

into the air, knock him back down and attack him again.

-----------------------------

The Sphynx tries to fly off, but Giet comes out and starts attacking it. Moses
orders him to stop, but he keeps going at it until it's dead. Giet then howls
into the sky and trots away. Before exiting, head up to the tip of the screen
and use your scanner for a recipe. Make your way back to Werites Beacon.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Upon entering, Giet runs off, and Moses storms off as well. Moses then has a
flashback of when he was a kid, and was chasing Giet until he pulled a Daffy
Duck and ran off a cliff and kept running until he looked down.

Shirley comes in to wake Senel, saying something is going on. Head over to
Will's house to find some villagers accusing Giet of the attacks. Moses just
stands there, letting them talk. After the crowd leaves, Moses insists that
Giet is innocent. Csaba arrives, saying the pack of monsters are at the Crags.
So let's go. Take the Village of the Ferines Duct, and head northeast until

Go down through the black field. You'll find a cactus on the side, and of
course, you know what that means. It's Mimi time. You'll get a recipe for
bread that's vital for making some of the best weapons available in the
Synthesis shop in Werites. Go down and left through the black field and use
your scanner to find two rare monsters; the Water-Melon Element and the Pinata
Lizardman. It's so cute with its blindfold and beating stick in hand. Go
right and use the scanner again for an item. Go back and go down and use the

you'll need to watch out for is Indignation, but other than that, he's a push
over. To have some fun with him, equip Rending Earth (which picks up Massive
creatures), and knock him down with Talon Blast, then use Rending Earth to
pick him up and slam him into the ground. It may be animal abuse, but I've
never heard of anyone getting arrested for beating a sprited dog.

-----------------------------

The Galf falls, but another one comes out, but this one is actually Giet.
Moses steps foward a bit, and Giet attacks Moses, seriously injuring him, and
then attacks Senel and runs off with the other Galfs. Moses's faceguard fell
off, exposing is badly scarred left eye. You're left to go back to Werites
on foot, so let's do so.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Once you arrive back into town, an angry mob is formed, asking where the hell
Will has been. Will whispers to Senel to bring Moses into his house to let
him rest. You'll go in and the party will discuss certain matters. You then
need to head upstairs and check on Moses. While talking, Giet howls into the
air, and Moses claims it's coming from their camp. The camp is at the park,
so go there.

Upon arriving, several bandits are on the ground, including Csaba. Csaba says
that Giet attacked them, but they knew how close Giet and Moses are, and didn't
fight back at all. Moses spots some tracks, and recognizes them as Giet's
tracks. Moses claims that if it comes down to it, he'll be the one to kill
Giet.

Shirley goes to wake Senel up, telling him they found Giet. Head to Will's
house and Jay will pinpoint that Giet is at the Bandits Lair. So let's go.

==============
BANDITS LAIR
==============

Again, same layout. Make your way to the next screen, while picking up any
chests behind the black fields and using the scanner in empty spaces behind the
black fields. Upon entering the second floor, a scene triggers. Once in
control, head up to the duct, entering you into the Puzzle Booth.

This puzzle booth is the same as before, so go ahead and solve it. Upon
exiting, use the save point and go through the left door first for a chest.
Exit and take the right door. You'll find Giet laying on the ground, badly
wounded. Giet then gets up and rams his head into the wall a couple of times.
Seems like Giet knows what's happening, and doesn't want to hurt Moses and the
others, and decides he wants to kill himself instead. Moses approaches Giet,
and then Giet returns to normal. A voice comes out, and the black mist
surrounds Giet. Seems like the black mist may have been the cause for Giet's
recent behavior. The mist forms into Moses, and so, the fight begins.

-This fight is tough, mainly because of Giet. He's a lot stronger than before
and isn't afraid to rush at your party and take a bite out of you. As usual,
Moses will stay in the back and throw spears at you, or run in to hit your
spellcasters. Needless to say, Giet has to go first. Giet is hard to stagger,
and his attacks hit you for high damage. If you can corner both of them, use
Climax mode to damage them both at the same time. Don't be afraid to use any
items in this fight, because you may have to since Giet will focus on your
spellcasters after a bit. Just keep yourself healed, and once Giet falls,
Moses is easy to take down, but he rarely staggers. Either way, just stand
right by him and he can't hit you.

-----------------------------

Moses goes to Giet, pets him, and his Eres glows, getting rid of the dark
version of Moses. Moses claims he can't take Giet with him, because he knows
one day Giet will turn wild, and he doesn't want anyone else hurt because of
Giet. Moses and Giet then get into attack stances, until Norma and Jay rush
in, suggesting that Giet can live in the Quiet Lands since no one else lives
down there, so he won't be hurting anyone else. Save your game.

You'll be in the Quiet Lands, where Moses and Giet are saying their final
farewells, whereas Grune is planting Gnome's seed into the ground here. An
anime cutscene then occurs, with Moses turning away from Giet, telling him
that he and Giet will always be family, whilst trying not to cry. Giet lets
out one last howl, and they slowly walk away from each other, and then Moses
gives the party a smile. Such a sad scene. It touched me.

The party will go back to town, greeted by Csaba. After some talking, the
party will be having a picnic at Lumen Spring (after saving your game), and
Chloe and Shirley are talking, until Norma walks over and throws a hissy fit.
Jay then thinks about his past. Norma brings up that it's time for the annual
festival, and everyone writes a wish on a leaflet except for Jay, who decides
to be alone. The party shares their wishes, and of course, Norma has to be
one that wants to wish for bigger breasts, wanting something along the lines of
Chloe's size. Shirley then jumps into the mix, saying she wants Chloe's size
as well. The scene shifts back to Jay, claiming he's too different to be with
the party. You'll be prompted to save your game yet again.

Jay comes to wake Senel up and tells him to go to Musettes house. Go there
and Musette will come down, and Curtis and Isabella are there as well.
Isabella tells the party that apparently some Ninjas have boarded the Legacy,
in search of Shirley. Musette asks you to investiage the old Oresoren Village,
as it may seem the best hiding spot, hence Moses's quest comes to an end, and
Jay's begins.

ended up having Jay do it for me, so you'll need to figure it out on your own.

-The Belladonna is the biggest threat here. She can cast spells such as

Once the Belladonna is gone, the Beelzebub is easy enough to take down. Like
the other Hoppers, it'll "Pass Gas" at you, possibly poisoning you, and has a
Poison FOE, but other than that, he's easy to take down.

-----------------------------

The Ninja runs off, and Jay follows him, so Jay is out of your party for now.
Use the heal point and save point here, and go back down and explore around
the village to find some chests. When ready, advance past the save point.

This path is also linear, so grab the chests as you come across them, and head
to the next screen. A scene occurs where the Ninja Jay was chasing disappears
and reappears as that creepy man from Werites before. Jay quickly recognizes
him, and the man introduces himself as Solon, Jay's former teacher.

Again, this is also a linear path, so follow it, opening the chests along the
way until you reach the save point. Save and go up the stairs and you'll find
Jay. Senel and Chloe get ready to attack Solon until he disappears again. Jay
collapses, and the party thinks he's badly injured and decide to take him to
the Oresoren Village. If you keep following the path, you'll find some more
treasure chests, and there are more treasure chests on the Mountain Path
outside. Getting those are up to you. Once ready, make your way back to the
entrance, and warp to the Oresoren Village.

==============
ORESOREN VILLAGE
==============

Jay walks off on his own after entering. Head to his house and Pippo, Poppo,
and Quppo will explain to you that Jay has shut himself in his room, and tells
the party about Jay's past and how they met him. Jay thinks back again to his
old days, and the black mist appears again.

You'll be back in Werites Beacon, and Chloe goes to wake Senel up. Senel says
he wants a few more minutes, and after a moment, Chloe caves in, and let's him
sleep in... until Senel calls her Shirley. Chloe gets super pissed and gets
him out of bed. She claims Jay has something he wants to discuss with the
party and that you should head over to Will's house. Do so and you'll find
Jay. Jay says he wants to kill Solon, and he knows where he is; the Ruins of
Frozen Light. So let's go.

RUINS OF FROZEN LIGHT

Same layout, same chest locations, different items. Go right through the black
fields for a chest, then go back and go left until you reach another chest,
and go north to the next screen. From here, go left through the black field
for a chest, and go back to the entrance and go north for two more chests.
Go back and go to the right and north to reach the next screen.

Go through the black fields for some chests, then go left when you reach the
intersection and use the save point. Go north to find the puzzle booth.

Stand on the block next to the exit and fire your Ring at the reflectors to
hit the switch. Push the block into the gap next to the stairs so you can
make your way to the other side. Move the blocks so you can hit the switch
here, and make a zig-zag type of pattern with them. Go back to the first block
and push it down and push it into the other gap. Go up the stairs and cross
the blocks and shoot the switch. Now go rearrange the blocks so that you can
push the block sitting on a non-moveable block off. Rearrange the blocks to
hit the remaining switches, and head through the duct.

Head north into the next screen and head northwest here to find a door. Go
through it and the party will examine around. Jay calls Shirley over to come
read something, and then a cage falls on the party, and Solon appears, praising
Jay on his work. Solon then summons a monster, and Jay, Shirley, and Solon
disappear. The black mist appears, and the monster becomes fused.

The party decides to go back to the Oresoren Village, so head back to the

==============
ORESOREN VILLAGE
==============

Upon entering, head to where the merchant Oresoren are at, and you'll notice
they're missing. The party splits up to look for them, but sadly, they aren't
around. Norma runs in, telling you to head to Jay's house. Go to it. Upon
entering, Chloe is standing there, and gives Senel a letter. Aparently, Solon
threatened to kill the Oresoren if Jay didn't help him get Shirley, and that
the Oresoren have all gone off to help Jay out. The scene switches to Jay and
Solon, with Jay getting mad, claiming Solon broke his promise of not hurting
the Oresoren if he helped him out, but Solon goes back on his word and claims
he never made that promise, and starts to beat Jay. Jay's leaf from the Star
Festival pops out, and Solon gets a hoot from reading it. He then reads it to
Shirley, telling her that Jay's wish was that he wished he had a family.

Pippo, Poppo, and Qupoo all come in, claiming they're Jay's family. Solon
attempts to call in his soldiers, but surprisingly, the Oresoren have defeated
the Ninjas outside. The three then start attacking Solon, and Jay and Shirley
run off to safety. The scene shifts outside to Jay and Shirley, with Jay
feeling a bit down that the Oresoren are helping him, and realize that he
wasn't the one guarding the Oresoren; the Oresoren were the ones guarding him.
After some flashbacks of his times with the Oresoren, Jay decides he wants to
ask for everyones help.

Back at the Oresoren Village, Moses runs in and tells Senel that Shirley and
Jay are at the entrance. Before going, head up into Jay's room and open the
chest. Now go to the entrance and Jay will ask for all of your help. Jay
tells you that the Oresoren and Solon are at Mirage Palace. Head back to
Werites Beacon to stock up on items and synthesize anything you haven't yet,
and head for the Tram in the Quiet Lands, and head for Mirage Palace.

==============
MIRAGE PALACE
==============

The dungeon has the same layout, and it's pretty linear, with the split paths
having chests behind them. So grab them as you make your way to the castle
portion of this place.

You'll find some Oresoren on the ground here, and Shirley goes to heal one,
and when they don't get up, Shirley says she healed all of them (Odd... I
could've sworn she only healed that one Oresoren.) Little Z's then appear
above the Oresorens heads, indicating that they're sleeping. Awwww. How cute.

Again, you should know your way through the warps and turns here. Along the
way, you'll eventually reach the Puzzle Booth. Simple puzzle, really. You
just need to push the three blocks off, and rearrange them to push the other
blocks off, and rearrange them again to shoot the crystals. Once the crystals
are activated, rearrange all the blocks near the left staircase to make a
bridge to the duct.

You'll then be at another warp section. Again, to reach the exit, use the left
warp everytime. Grab the chests if you like, but they contain nothing special.
Make your way through the dungeon again, getting any chests you come along.
Eventually you'll reach the big stairway again. Go up them and use the heal
point and save point. Open the doors and go down the hallway here and examine
the door at the end.

You'll find Solon and two injured Oresoren on the ground. Norma and Shirley
heal them. Solon starts to go on a rant, claiming that Jay is a killing
machine and that's all he's good for. Jay agrees with him, and the black mist
starts to surround him. Jay then suddenly attacks Solon, saying he's finally
accepted and not alone anymore, and the black mist disappears, and forms into
Jay.

-This is a difficult fight. Make sure to turn off all of Norma's Eres except
for Revive and Resurrection. Solon has the ability to cast magic such as
Black Hole, meaning his spells will hurt, a lot. Solon will also use a Death
Toll attack, which hits a character several times for a high damage. Dark Jay
fights exactly like Jay, only he's a bit stronger. Make sure to keep them
away from Norma, and keep them together at the other side of the screen. Their
attacks hit hard, but Solon staggers easily, so focus on him first to eliminate
the magic problem. Dark Jay is simple by himself. Since his attacks are just
like Jay's, you'll have enough time to dodge his attacks such as Pyre that take
a few seconds to come out of the ground. Just make sure to use items when
needed and don't depend on Norma for the whole battle.

-----------------------------

Solon will attempt to attack the Oresoren in one last attempt, but Jay quickly
jumps in front, blocks Solon, and uses his Eres to finish him off. The black
mist suddenly emerges from Solon, and knocks Grune to the ground while
paralyzing the rest of the party. Shirley attempts to heal Grune, but she
doesn't wake up at all. You'll be prompted to save and you'll be in Werites

Head upstairs and go through the middle door.

Grune's talking with another invisible creature that the party can't see, and
it emerges into Grune's Jar. Grune discusses that she knows who the person

head. Just keep attacking him, and spam Revive with Norma, and you'll come out

Vaclav disappears after Senel uses his Eres to dispose of him, and Grune gets

have a good one in his inventory) and start beating up on him. He tends to
stagger from time to time, then he rarely staggers at all, so he gets kind of
annoying. His combos hurt a lot, so have Norma ready with Revive all the time
and don't just wait for her to heal if you're getting low on health. Having
Shirley or Will in with Cure is also a good idea.

-----------------------------

Shirley steps up, but the Gigant gets back up, but Shirley glows, and she
knocks it down, destroying it. Shirley says that both Grune and Schwartz are

A scene with Grune and Schwartz appears, and you're left in control. The Wings

puzzle booth.

This is the exact same thing, except the moving reflectors are in the middle.
This is all about timing and location, so time everything right, and use the
trial and error way; if one position doesn't work, move elsewhere and try

Make your way through the next areas and you'll eventually reach an elevator
that brings you to the last part of this place. If there's a good thing about
treading all the way back here, it's that you can listen to this awesome music
again. Again, the path is still very linear, so make your way. One thing to
note are that there are Dinowyrms here. They have a lot of HP, but their
Eres stones are needed for Tidal Wave for Shirley. Fight them if you want.
As you make your way through, you'll eventually reach a heal point and save
point. Use them and run along the long hallway.

You'll find Grune and Schwartz, locked up in a tight one. The party becomes
paralyzed by the mist again, but they break free with their eres, which leads
to a cutscene of Grune getting her memory and power back. Grune then joins the
party, and you're left to switch your party one last time before the fight.
I suggest putting Grune in, as her Sea elemental spells will work wonders.

-Turn off all elemental Eres except for Sea, and equip any strong Sea Elemental
weapons you have for your melee attackers. Schwartz hits hard, and hits fast.
She also has the ability to cast Extension, which can mean an instant kill to
you if you're slow of getting out of it. The first thing you'll notice in this
fight (if Grune is in it) that Grune sounds awfully different than she did when
she didn't have her memory. Try to corner Schwartz if you can to rack up some
combos, as she tends to stagger from time to time. Schwartz has the ability
to quickly rush over to the other side of the screen, putting your spellcasters
in danger, so quickly run over and attack her. Her combos hit pretty hard, so
spam Revive with Norma. After Schwartz loses half her health, the battle will
automatically end.

-----------------------------

Watch the scene, and the party suggests heading back to town. Thankfully,
you're automatically warped out of the Wings of Light to Werites Beacon.

==============
WERITES BEACON
==============

Head for Will's house. Grune explains the situation and tells the party that
she'll take care of Schwartz herself, and that the party can just sit back and
relax while she does it. This doesn't sit too well with Moses. He gets hot
headed, then heads outside to cool off. Senel follows him, doing the same.
Will decides to call it a day.

Each party member has split up. Moses is with Csaba in the Quiet Lands, Norma
is where the Everlight was, Will is at the Vista Point, Chloe is at the
Fountain Plaza, Shirley is at the Village of Ferines, Jay is at his house, and
Senel is in front of Stella's grave.

The next day arrives, and Grune is all set to leave to take care of Schwartz,
but she's meeted by Senel and the others, all ready to go. Grune again tells
them that she'll defeat Schwartz, but Senel and the others won't allow that.
After the long speech, Grune will be convinced. Once ready, head to the Altar
of the Sea.

==============
ALTAR OF THE SEA
==============

The game is nice enough to automatically warp you to the top where the altar
is. The party begs and asks for Nerfies' power, each saying they want to
protect the world they live in. A Gaet then appears in the air. Seems like
Nerfies is testing the party to see if they're worthy of its power.

-Would you look at all that HP. Although his HP is high, the Gaet itself is
pretty easy. His normal attacks do low damage, and his tail attack is just as
weak. Just chip away at his health.

-----------------------------

Nothing happens, but Grune mentions she can feel the power of Nerfies, and then
the parties nails begin to glow, gaining the power of the Great Nerfies. Soon,
a black hole like thing opens up in the sky, and Grune points out that's where
Schwartz is at, The Cradle of Time. To enter, step on the glowing Altar and
choose to go in.

==============
THE CRADLE OF TIME
==============

A straight forward dungeon to say the least. Head along the path and you'll
find a heal point. Some black mist appears, telling that you need to take down
6 enemies in order to advance. Use the heal point if you need to, and use the
portal. The enemies you face are all old bosses, only they're stronger than
before, but not all that tough to give you a fight for your life. Going back
down before defeating all 6 will reset the bosses, meaning if you go back down
before finishing of the 6th boss, you'll need to fight the first 5 again. This
is a great way of leveling. Once you beat all 6, you can go down to use the
heal point.

After beating the 6th boss, the black mist appears again, but this time, take
the form of Senel and Shirley.

-This fight is very difficult, and if you're not careful, you'll wind up dead
quickly without even noticing it. The most important thing is to keep Dark
Senel and Dark Shirley away from your casters. This is extremely important,
as you'll want Norma spamming Revive in this fight. Try to get Dark Senel and
Dark Shirley together to hit them both at the same time. They're both hard to
stagger and Dark Senel will abuse Beast, so be on guard as Dark Senel will
practically use a combo every chance he gets. Dark Shirley casts spells such
as Tractor Beam which will knock you flat on your back, leaving Dark Senel a
chance to rush at your spell casters in the back. Don't let them get a chance
to recover at all. Give them everything you've got. If you need to, use an
All-Divide to ease the battle up a bit, and use your items too if you need to.
Just keep an eye on all your other characters HP, and heal them when needed.
After a long, brutal fight, if you can keep them together and block Dark
Senel's combos, you'll come out on top.

-----------------------------

Use the portal behind you to use the heal point. You can go back to town to
restock on items if you need to. Once ready, advance up and you'll need to
fight 6 more battles to reach Schwartz. Take them out. After the 6th fight,
I highly recommend going back down and exiting and saving your game. If you're
not confident in your abilities up to this point, save your game in a seperate
save slot. Once you're ready, head on up to find Schwartz. After a speech,
you'll get straight to fighting.

-Same as before, guard her combos and don't let up on her. Once she loses half
her health, the battle will automatically end.

-----------------------------

The party realizes that they're not hurting her one bit, and soon, the mist
spreads everywhere, from Werites Beacon, to the Village of the Ferines, to the
Oresoren Village, with an image of Schwartz appearing at each location. The
party uses thier Eres to stop Schwartz's first attack, and it drops them to
their knees. They agree that they are nothing compared to her, and that they
experience sadness, but it's because that they can overcome that, that they're
happy and can head to the future. Soon, all the people that are in the black
mist get their Eres, and use it to fend off the Schwartz images. The black
mist disappears, and Schwartz is ready to send you and the world into
nothingness.

O------------O----------O

-If you had no troubles with Dark Senel and Dark Shirley, this fight will be
a cakewalk for you. However, if you struggled with Dark Senel and Dark
Shirley, prepare for a tough fight. Schwartz still has her combos, which hurt
even more this time, and she has the ability to cast spells such as Ancient
Nova, Black Hole, and Meteor Storm. And to top it off, it's hard to make her
stagger, and she'll jump into the air from time to time and unleash a huge
shadow attack which will just devastate those that don't guard it. She also
can rush over to the other side of the screen where your spell casters are, so
you'll need to be quick in getting over to her. Have Norma spam Revive over
and over again. Try to corner her to buy Norma some time to get the spell off.
Use your Climax mode well, and use any Climax Bottles you have. Use all the
items you have. Since this is the final battle of the game, there's no need
to worry about restocking your items. Don't hold back, and use any items or
strategies you can to win. If you're having a lot of trouble, use an All
Divide to ease the pain a little, but don't let your guard down if you do,
because she's still capable of wiping out your party quickly and swiftly. Just
keep an eye on all your party members HP, and don't let up attacking her.

-----------------------------

I'll let you enjoy the ending without me spoiling it for you, but I will tell
you one thing. The ending is very touching and emotional, that I tried not to
cry during it. The music that plays in the credits is just as good. You'll
then be prompted to save your game, and you'll be taken back to the title
screen. I must say, that's a great ending to a good game.

Congratulations! You've beaten Tales of Legendia. I hope you had fun playing
the game.

O------------O----------O

-This fight isn't all that hard. His attacks can hit you for decent damage,
but it's nothing you should have to worry about if your levels are in the
7-9 Range. Now that you have four people in your party, now's a good time to
test out the Climax Combo. Use the Climax mode first, and beat up on it for
a bit. Before the Climax meter runs out, press L1 again to activate the combo
to deal some serious damage. Once it gets low on health, it'll start using
a Field of Effect with Poison. Just don't let up with your attacks and you'll
win easily.

O------------O
| DINOGORGON |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 7181 |
O------------O----------O

-This fight isn't really that hard, but can be annoying depending if Norma
wants to guard or not. All the Dinogorgon will do is stay stationary on the
other side of the screen and spew water out at you.

O-----------------O
| CITADEL TURTLE |
O-----------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 7609 |
O-----------------O----------O

-His defense may pose as a problem, and he has an attack that can hit you
pretty hard, so be careful. Because of all that armor the Turtle has on him,
he moves slowly, so use that as your advantage. If you can get behind him,
this fight should go more smoothly. It also wouldn't hurt to use Climax mode.
Whatever you do, it's not all that hard. It just takes awhile to pierce
through all that armor.

-----------------------------

O------------O
| GREAT GAET |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 22,000 |
O------------O----------O

-This guy has a lot of HP to knock off, is big, and most of all, he's one mean
yeller' bellied animal. Remember that new sword you got for Chloe at the
Great Hollow? It'll come in handy here, as this boss is vulnerable to Poison,
and with that insane amount of HP this early on, every HP deduction counts.
His most dangerous move is when he'll spin his tail around a few times, dealing
some decent damage. Using Climax Mode will help a lot in this battle. If
you're quick with your Eres, you can get over 70 hits while in Climax mode.
Just make sure to keep an eye on your HP before and after he does his tail
sweep.

O------------O
| GIGANT |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 25,916 |
O------------O----------O

-This is your first challenging fight since the fight against Moses and Giet.
Gigant is a huge enemy that you can almost never knock off balance, so he'll
usually get his attacks off most of the time. He also can hit multiple times,
and the damage he hits you with is absolutely damaging, so you MUST guard in
this fight and don't melee for too long. The key to this fight is magic, which
will temporarily knock him off guard. Climax mode will REALLY help you out
in this fight if you're in a tight spot. Make sure to heal when you need to
also, and don't wait for Will to use First Aid. Just don't melee for too long
and you can probably avoid his attacks, and keep an eye on your melee attacking
character's HP, and you'll come out on top.

but it shouldn't do too much damage. Try to pincer him and don't hold back

-If you're not careful, you'll find yourself in a heaping amount of trouble.
Once the Diva is gone, the Mimic Bed shouldn't be any
problem.

O----------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 37,444 |
O----------------O----------O

-This guy is a huge pain in the ass. He's hard to stagger, meaning he'll get
his attacks off that hurt a lot, and to top it off, he just loves to charge
all the way across the screen. All of this will add up the damage quickly,
so make sure to have plenty of Gels on hand. You'll want to take him down
quickly, since he'll charge most of the time. If you need to, use your Climax
mode. Just keep your health up and don't stop attacking him and you'll beat
him down eventually.

-Not that much of a challenge. All you need to worry about is when a red
exclaimation point comes over his head, he's about to do several bites. Block
these, and continue attacking when he's done. Make sure to keep an eye on
your other melee attackers health, as they don't tend to block from time to
time.

O------------O
| CASHEL |

| HIT POINTS | 13,861 |
O------------O----------O

-Cashel isn't a threat. The only thing that he does that damages you is
when he throws out a sword that spins and hits you multiple times. Again,
don't use your Climax mode just yet. Pincer him like you did with Melanie,
and watch out for Volt Arrow. Other than that, he's not a threat, so just
waste away.

-----------------------------

-----------------------------

O------------O
| STINGLE |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 14,513 |
O------------O----------O

-This fight is tough. Two Galfs with a total HP of 50,991 that are both very
agile and strong does not make this a fun fight.

-This guy is huge, but not that tough. Due to his size, it's easy to land
your hits on him, so make sure you don't hold anything back in this fight. If
you keep attacking it, he'll guard most of the time, taking his time away from
attacking you. With all that said, you shouldn't have any problems with this
fight.

-This fight is the same as the previous ones. He's big, but not as mean. The

use an attack that comes out of his mouth. Guard against that and keep
attacking him and you're good to go.

| ZEPHYR LUCIFER |

-This fight is pretty easy. His attacks aren't damaging at all, but since it's

which can get quite annoying. Other than that, just attack it and it'll fall
quickly.

O--------------O----------O

| HIT POINTS | 33,217 |
O--------------O----------O

O--------------O
| NERIFES |
O--------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 83,043 |
O--------------O----------O

-Unlike the previous fight with Moses, there are two differences. One, he has

The key to this fight is cornering him. Since Moses's attacks usually fly

-Not a tough fight. Since he can fly, it can be a bit tricky to combo him.
Once you knock him down to the ground, continue to unleash several attacks on
him so he doesn't get airborn again and you'll win easily.

-How well you fight against Dragon race enemies will determine the difficulty
of this fight. If you can easily handle Dragons, this fight will be a sinch.
If not, you'll be in for a rough ride. The Dragon will constantly use its
combo bite will take off nearly 2,000 HP if connected without you guarding.
The best solution to this fight is to pincer it. That way, you can block its
combo bite when it goes for you while your party attacks it from the back, or
vice versa. Just keep an eye on your HP and guard when needed and you'll come
out on top.

O-------------O
| DARK WILL |
O-------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 43,776 |
O-------------O----------O

-This fight can be pretty brutal. Dark Will casts most of the spells that your
Will can cast, and can instantly break your guards with a thrust of his
hammer. His spells land for good damage, as do his attacks. However, he'll
spend most of his time casting, so use that to your advantage to attack him.
At all costs, keep him away from your magic users (espeically Norma) and dodge
his spells the best you can. Keep at it to win.

| MINDFLAYER |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 40,315 |
O------------O----------O

-This fight is pretty simple. The only threat is the Bloody Bed, which can
use FOE's to weaken your party or inflict them with a status effect. Once the
Bed is gone, the Mindflayer is easy to take down. It staggers everytime you
hit it, meaning if you keep hitting it, it won't be able to cast any spells.
So just corner it and keep attacking and it'll go down rather quickly.

| BEAR FIEND |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 80,406 |
O------------O----------O

-This Fiend attacks the same way as the last one did, so make sure to keep on
guard. His attacks and combos still hurt you a lot, and his skill that shoots
a black aura at you still hurts as well. Having Norma spam Revive is a good
way of dealing with this fight, so make sure to have it on a Shortcut. From
time to time, the Fiend will dash forward, knocking down anyone in its way.
This also hurts, so make good use of that guard button, and kill this Fiend
the same way you killed the last.

until her health falls to zero.

| GALF FIEND |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 84,191 |
O------------O----------O

-Like the other Fiends, this one is strong, but has an FOE this time, which can
make this battle even tougher, so equip the necessary accessories to neglect
whichever status effect you get. Have Norma spam revive and avoid it's black
aura attack, and block it's combos. Use Climax mode if needed. Just use the
same strategy as the other Fiends, except stay clear of the FOE.

-Hot damn would you look at that HP total. He fights like the other Gaets,
meaning his primary attack will be to spin around a few times, so block this
and run away when he's about to body slam your party. Other than that, simple
fight.

| HIT POINTS | 60,405 |
O------------O----------O

-This fight can be tough, depending on how you approach it. If you run
straight in to attack her, you'll easily lose this fight. The best way to win
this fight is to watch her attack patterns. She'll usually use Sword Rain:
Alpha on you, which will guard break you. When a red exclaimation point
appears above her head, she's about to do a special move. Dodge this and
she'll be vulnerable, so rush in and use a Wyrm Rush followed by a Wyrm Crush.
Another option would to equip Beast and Land Slide, and knock her down, and
then grab her. Either way you fight this, you need to stay on her toes and
avoid her attacks the best you can.

-----------------------------

O------------O
| DARK CHLOE |
O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 66,226 |
O------------O----------O

-Although his HP is high, this is an easy battle, and even a cake walk

into the air, knock him back down and attack him again.

-He's got quite a bit of HP, but he's not all that strong. The only threat
you'll need to watch out for is Indignation, but other than that, he's a push

O------------O----------O

-The Belladonna is the biggest threat here. She can cast spells such as
Meteor Storm and Extension, so you'll definately want to take her out first.
Once the Belladonna is gone, the Beelzebub is easy enough to take down. Like
the other Hoppers, it'll "Pass Gas" at you, possibly poisoning you, and has a
Poison FOE, but other than that, he's easy to take down.

-To avoid getting a mass amount of negative GRADE here, use a Magic Lens on
him first, and then turn off any spells that he's strong against. In other
words, turn off any spells that AREN'T of the Fire and Sea elements. The same
goes for your melee characters Eres. Dullahan fights like all the other Fiends
and there's nothing special about him, so just use the same tactics as before.

O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 88,737 |
O------------O----------O

-This version of Vaclav is the exact same thing as the original Vaclav, only
he's able to cast spells this time. Use that to your advantage and attack him
hard and fast while he's casting to stagger him and get off some decent damage.
Make sure to watch out for his combos. They're even more powerful than before,
and he's capable of taking you from full health to 1/4 of your health with just
one combo, so make sure to guard when you see the red warning sign above his
head. Just keep attacking him, and spam Revive with Norma, and you'll come out
on top.

| HIT POINTS | 163,787 |
O---------------O----------O

-This guy is strong, but he's not very fast. However, he will sometimes
charge across the screen, so becareful not to let him focus on your spell
casters. With Grune gone, equip any Sea elemental weapons you have (Jay should
have a good one in his inventory) and start beating up on him. He tends to
stagger from time to time, then he rarely staggers at all, so he gets kind of
annoying. His combos hurt a lot, so have Norma ready with Revive all the time
and don't just wait for her to heal if you're getting low on health. Having
Shirley or Will in with Cure is also a good idea.

-----------------------------

O------------O

O------------O----------O
| HIT POINTS | 138,737 |
O------------O----------O

===================
10.) FAQ
===================

This section will list e-mails that I've gotten over and over.

Q: Which party is the best?
A: That's all based on opinion, but I prefer Jay, Norma, Moses, and Senel for
the first half of the game, and Jay, Norma, Grune, and Senel for the second
half.

Q: I beat the Main Quest. Why can't I access the GRADE Shop?
A: You must beat the Character Quests in order to unlock the GRADE Shop.

Q: But aren't the Character Quests sidequests?
A: No, they're not. They're part of the game itself, which tells the stories
of the other 6 characters. Senel's and Shirley's stories were during the main
quest.

Q: How do I throw with Senel?
A: First, you need to down the enemy and have a throwing skill equipped. To
throw a Middle class enemy, look at the Eres description, and if it says you're
able to throw Middle classes, then once the enemy is down, simply use the
buttons you set the throwing Eres too. You can also throw lighter enemies that
are lighter than what you can throw at max.

Q: Why do you love Jay so much?
A: Believe it or not, I do get this question a lot, and I might as well answer
it here. Jay has a great personality. He's a very cold, quirky boy, but at
the same time, he's caring, but never shows it. He's very versatile in battles
and his strategic value is aboslutely astonishing. Jay also has almost every
element at his disposal. Although those take a few seconds to get off, all
his other attacks are pretty powerful, and he's swift with them. Sparrow Hawk
and Dark Cloud are easily of my two favorite moves in the game. Plus, I can
relate to Jay in a couple of ways, so he ended up being my favorite character.

Q: Do Senel and Chloe ever fall in love?
A: Sadly, no. Though it would be a great story, Senel infact doesn't fall in
love with Chloe, although that doesn't stop Chloe from loving him.

Q: Which Character Quest is your favorite?
A: I love Moses'. It shows how strong a bond between an animal and human can
be. Jay's is a close second, though.

More to come as they come to my inbox.

11.) About the Author
===================

I decided to throw this section in here, because well, I do get some e-mails
from time to time, asking me a few personal questions.

I'm a gamer, of course. I'm in my 20's, and I've been playing games ever since
I was about 4 or 5, or sometime around then. My first console was an NES that
I got for Christmas (or birthday, I forget) as a kid, with Donkey Kong and
Super Mario Brothers. I really wasn't the most talented kid, or the fastest
kid. My motor skills were slowly developing than usual, and my reflexes were
bad growing up. However, thanks to video games, I have much better hand eye
coordination and my reflexes are quicker.

After the NES days were gone, my family got a SNES, which is when I was first
introduced to RPG's. My first RPG game that I ever played was Breath of Fire,
which is still one of my favorite series' to this day. Of course, I didn't
know what an RPG was back then, and when I found out thanks to my brother, I
fell in love with them, and as I grew older, they became more complex and more
addicting and fun. My favorite RPG is Shadow Hearts, which is also my favorite
game.

However, I do play other games that aren't listed in the RPG category. I'm a
fan of 2D Fighting games, with Guilty Gear being my favorite series in that
category. Fighting games allow me to hone my gaming skills, while at the same
time, get my reflexes even quicker so I can master the games eventually.

Aside from video games, you wouldn't know it by looking at me, but I love
sports. I'm a huge baseball and hockey fan, but a casual football (NFL) fan.
Living in North Carolina, I like the Carolina Panthers (NFL) and the Carolina
Hurricanes (NHL), but I'm a Minnesota Twins fan for baseball and I have been
for several years.

I also enjoy music. Although I don't play any instruments, I love listening
to it. I usually listen to music while I type up guides, or just lay in bed
and listen to music. I'm a huge fan of metal, even though I don't look like
it. My favorite band is Chimaira, and I like other bands such as Arch Enemy,
Black Sabbath, Black Label Society, Exodus, and a lot more bands.

One day, I hope to get a degree in Journalism, which is why I started writing
guides in the first place. That, and I wanted to contribute something to my
fellow gamers. Once I do get a degree in Journalism, I plan on becoming either
a sports columnist, or a game journalist. I've been writing guides for two
years now, and I can honestly say they've honed my writing skills, and the
encouragement I get from the other contributors and my readers really lift up
my spirits, and I keep writing because of them.

That's it. Now you know a little about me.

===================
12.) Credits/Thanks
===================

-Namco: For the game itself.

-http://www.rootsecure.net/?p=ascii_generator: For the ASCII.

-EChang: For his wonderful guide that has helped me in quite a few tough spots.

-My friend Kevin (TrU RoGuE): For giving me some of the information that I
forgot to write down (boss names and a few locations.)

-Gbness (or Arbeast): For allowing me to use his guide as a reference for a few
sections. Make sure to check out his very detailed guide.

-Gamestop: For having this game instock when I went to reserve Shadow Hearts 3

-GameFAQs and the other hosting sites: For hosting this guide.

And a big thanks to you, the readers. You've seen me say it before, but
without you, I wouldn't be writing these guides.
