=====================================================================
I) Cervantes
=====================================================================
The dread pirate, Cervantes, has been a favorite character of mine
among all fighting games mainly because of his ruthlessness in battle,
along with his cool demeanor. Although Cervantes isn't a main character
of Soul Calibur III, he can be incredibally powerful and has the ability
to attack anyone, anywhere, from any position. In the air, standing,
crouching, lying down, you name it... he has really cool moves for all
the different positions.

The best part of Cervantes' story line is that he's basically a zombie...
a zombie pirate animated by Soul Edge through the shards that were scattered
in the earlier Soul Caliburs. Cervantes even has a huge chunk of Soul
Edge (the long sword he carries in his left hand) to power him through
the slaughters he goes through.

I'd classify Cervantes as an Anti-Character person because he can easily
do high damage from just about anywhere. I wouldn't recommend him for
beginners, but even a novice can use Cervantes and still whoop. The reason
I say a novice shouldn't use Cervantes is becuase he's virtually
unstoppable in the masters' hands.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
A) Character Profile
---------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTE: This part came from the game itself, so thank Namco for this
 section.

Full Name: Cervantes de Leon

Age: 48 (Aging has stopped)
Birthplace: Valencia, Spanish Empire
Height: 5'10"
Weight: 176 lbs
Birth Date: January 1
Blood Type: None
Weapon: Soul Edge (Long sword type) & Pistol Sword
Weapon Name: Soul Edge & Nirvana
Discipline: Memories of Soul Edge

Family:
Father/Killed in battle
Mother/Deceased
His Crew/Slaughtered by his own hands (he has
no knowledge of the incident)

*Daughter/Ivy* (They left that part out)

By making use of the fragments of the cursed sword
within his body, Cervantes succeeded in perserving his
own will. With Soul Edge and the Adrian, he devoured
the souls of brawny men of the sea.

(Adrain is his ship I think)

One day, when he had moored his ship in an opening in
the cliffs in order to avoid the stormy waves, the
presence of the 'other' Soul Edge that he had felt up
until this time suddenly disappeared. Then, his body
began to crumble! The fragments of the cursed sword
within his body were losing their power. As things
stood now, he would soon return to the form of a
charred corpse.

'Wow, looks like you're in trouble!'

Turning to the source of the sudden voice, Cervantes
found a flock of black birds and a girl in green at the
top of the mast. (TIRA!)

'Who the hell are you?!'

'I guess you could say that I'm a servant of the cursed
sword.'

Cervantes grew angry at the overly cheerful girl, but
listening to her words, he learned that a power equal
and opposite of Soul Edge had sealed it...

After the girl disappeared from the mast and into the
darkness, Cervantes thought to himself.

He had no intention of binding himself to a shared
objective with the girl, but he had no choice but to
maintain his life by absorbing new souls, and while
doing so, destroy the enemy of Soul Edge and revive
the cursed sword that had been sealed.

His obsession for souls flaring, Cervantes set out into
the stormy sea.

---------------------------------------------------------------------
C) Move List
---------------------------------------------------------------------

NOTE: This was taken from the in-game command list, so credit to this
part is due to Namco and the other creators.

To make everything easier for you i'll follow the pattern of the game:

A = horizontal
B = vertical
K = kick
G = guard

(?) Hold whatever is in the parenthesis

d = down
r = right
l = left
u = up

q = quarter turn

IMPORTANT NOTE: input the direction command where i've placed it in
relation to the surrounding buttons. If there's d+A you hit down and
A, if there's K+u then hit kick followed with up.

T = Throw
GI = guard impact
GB = gurad break
U = unblockable
AT = attack throw
SP = special movement/stance

L = Low
M = Middle
H = High
SL = special low
SM = special mid

* = pause

The format of the list goes:

   (input command) ::: (hit range) [total damage/counter damage]

D) Attack Chains
---------------------------------------------------------------------

This section is nothing more than a list of chains of combos that flow
together really to pretty well. I added this section to show you why I
say Cervantes is an "anti-character" person.

II) Tales of Souls
=====================================================================
This section shows the many paths Cervantes can take through his Tales
of Souls story line. My format is pretty simple, but may confuse you...
so I'll start by giving you a grid of the levels and then the index
of the stages.

(Path ID)

[previous stage(s)]
NAME OF AREA
Enemy
Upon Victory ==> (next ID to look for)

---------------------------------------------------------------------
AA) Path Grid
---------------------------------------------------------------------

This doesn't do much more than SHOW you the paths Cervantes can take,
it doesn't tell you HOW to get there... and that's why the next section
is the stage index, so you know exactly how to get there.

Cervantes is standing on the mast (or whatever it is), pulsing with
energy due to the cursed sword's power. A couple of pirates are
straining to see what's emitting the glow and freak out about what
Cervantes is. Cervantes boards the ship and immediately kills 4 crew
members and laughs at the others' fear. Just then, the dead crew members
glow with the evil energy and start to get up.

(Press G repeatedly)

Success: When the phantoms get up, Cervantes becomes quite displeased
        at their "ungratefulness" for feeding his power.

Fail: When the phantoms get up, Cervantes orders them to leave nothing
     behind. You then see the 2 ships from a distance and hear Cervantes
     chuckle, followed by a scream and Cervantes' laughter.

CC) Path to Night Terror
---------------------------------------------------------------------

This section does nothing more than tell you what you need to do to
get to Night Terror... the ultimate final boss in Soul Calibur III.

NOTE: You cannot lose a single match until you've beaten Olcadan. Even
      losing to Olcadan himself causes the whole trip to be a waste...
      unless you're looking for cash too.
