And remembering the location of certain character that asked you to find certain item for him can be quite annoying. That's why I decided to write this FAQ (my very first one) This FAQ won't focus on strategies to beat some of the harder challenges, but on finding those valuable koins chests and those pesky krypt keys. I hope you this, my first FAQ, useful. *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ 3.Frequently Asked Questions *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ Please, please, PLEASE!!! If you have a question, make sure I haven't already answered it here. It would be good if the question is RELATED to konquest mode. I've tried to be patient, but I'm getting tired of answering the same question almost daily. Q. A4? C6? B7? What are you talking about!? A. Under the compass, you will see a Letter and a number. Those are coordinates. It basiclly goes like this: A-B-C-D-E-F-G-H ----------------- 1| 2| 3| 4| 5| 6| X 7| 8| So, if I say a chest is at C6, it would where I put the X in the map Q. Where do I find (insert krypt key here)? A. Here's an easy way: press "Ctrl" and "F" Now type the key you want (ex: TT key) then press Enter as many times as necessary PLEASE, note that keys marked with asterisks won't be available until you beat konquest, and that you need to unock characters before you get their alternate costumes (THis only applies to the alt costumes found in Konquest, not the ones bought with koins in the krypt Q. How can I use a character's alternate costume? A. Just Press Start Q. Help! How do I beat (insert kombatant here)? A. Sadly, I don't think I can help much here. Just try to abuse a combo. I personaly like Baraka's 'Heavy Damage' combo If you do less than 100% damage (10%, 25%): I noticed that throws do normal damage, so abuse them if that's the case. Tip sent by Kissimme: Before I started Konquest I was experimenting with MAX difficulty in Options. Well that setting affects how they also fight in Konquest. I lowered it all the way down, and finally was able to fight and win. I also wanted to make sure that the setting doesn't affect your rewards and it DOES NOT... I repeat Does Not affect your rewards. Q. I can't do (insert training session's move here). How do I do it? A. Personally, I just look at the button sequence and get it in the first few tries. You have to make sure every hit connects. The most troublesome moves can be the juggling combos, where you must time it right so the last hit connects. You may try to get a bit closer to the wall, but not too close, since your might end up blocking instead of hitting, or just pushing himself or herself away from your flying victim Q. Where is Sindel's ring? A. It is behind a rock in H3 in Edenia. I've tried it in different games, and the only time when I found it was when I activated that mission and completing it before any other Edenia mission, after beating Konquest Q. How can I enter the White Lotus temple in Earthrealm? A. You have to beat Konquest first to go there Q. How do I cross Netherrealm's bridge that a skeleton is guarding? A. You have to beat Konquest first to go there Q. How can activate Chaosrealm blue transporter? A. If you notice a trend, I guess you can figure this one out Q. How can I enter Li Mei's village, and Baraka's camp? A. Lucky you, You don't have to beat Konquest first to go there. Both these places open up eventually during the game. Baraka's camp opens up during your second trip to Outworld and Li Mei's village will open up on your third visit to Outworld. Li Mei fans will have to wait quite a bit to get her krypt key Q. How can I go back to Earthrealm's village? I think i missed a krypt key! A. Unlucky you, there's no way of going back to the village. But once you beat konquest, all 7 krypt keys will appear somewhere outside the village in Earthrealm. Check section 5C for their locations Q. Can I get a krypt key that I missed in the village. A. Umm... yeah... check the previous question Q. I found a koin chest in XX and found a type and ammount of koins different from what your guide says. What's up with that? A. There where possibly another chest in that coordinate that I missed Q. How do I pick the onyx koin behind the Chaosrealm's portal A. I have no idea. Q. I'm stuck in Netherrealm! Either I can't complete Scorpion's training because it just doesn't want to show me my next command, or the gates are closed. A. I've received many mails about this. Unfortunately, I have no idea on how to fix it. From what I've gathered, the best way to prevent this is just Training with Scorpion without quitting and don't leave Netherrealm until you are finished there **THE FOLLOWING QUESTION CONTAINS SPOILER IF YOU HAVEN'T BEATEN KONQUEST.** **READ AT YOUR OWN RISK** Q. I just placed the last kamidogu, and beat Scorpion, and saw Onaga run off to Outworld. Where exactly do I find him? Is Konquest over A. You won't find the Dragon King anywhere in Konquest mode. WHen he runs of to Outworld, you can see what happens only by watching the intro of the game. If you really want to *end* Konquest and beat Onaga, you'd have to beat Arcade mode with Shujinko **END OF POSSIBLE SPOILER** *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ 4. After you unlock the huts, you will still keep the keys. So far I managed to enter 4 huts that were previously unlocked. Three of them are listed in the More Koins secction and C2. (didn't find anything there) This are the key locations Blue key (Park key) A6 (You can keep this key instead of returning it) Old Woman's hut key: Hit the old woman at the gates in the begining (Opens hut at B5) Parents hut key: Get it as a rewar for hitting bully (Opens hut ay D4) Mysterious key: Get from as reward from Hide and seek boy (Opens hut at B6 If you notice, this keys are the same color as four of the six types of koins. You can find a 5th colored key in the next realm *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ 4G. The mystery of the Ninja Star *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+ The Ninja Star is an item that you receive as reward for finding the lazy boy. Currently, no use for the Ninja Star has been found. *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* 4H. ? *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* There is a Question Mark near one of Bo Rai Cho's dojo in D3 that will knock you out for 2 days. While some people try to link this event with a way or a hint to find a Super Hidden Character, (or SU as they are known in the message boards, I just think it's a quick way to get to Wednesday and pick the 600 onyx koins at B5. What do you need to know about Earthrealm? *+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+*+* You have access pretty much to every area of Earthreleam. The only inacceible area is the Shaoling Temple. You'll have to beat Konquest first to go there. Here in Earthrealm you will find any key you missed on the village, but only after beating Konquest For those who want to rush trough Konquest first and then, getting all the items, make sure to do these time specific events: First of all MAKE SURE TO GO TO E4 AND SEARCH FOR MASTER SHEN IN YOUR FIRST VISIT. This in possibly the only time to activate a conversation with him and Master Wen and get later the White Lotus Emblem. Second, MAKE SURE TO GO BACK TO HIM ON YOUR SECOND VISIT, after training with Nightwolf. And third, MAKE SURE TO GO BACK TO EARTHREALM BEFORE GOING TO THE LAST REALM, and go to the big temple in C7. Orderrealm is actually very organized. It has 4 towns: Redtown at the north, Goldtown at the east, Greentown at the south, and Bluetown at the west. You can check where you are by checking the color of the road. You begin at the center area, where the Portal is. The portal is surrounded by four sets of 2 pyramids with a little "park" between them. (One set per town) This pyramid sets are surrounded by a road that goes around them. Then you'll see 4 sets of 2 areas: one with 1 structure, and the other with 2, and these are surrounded by another road. After these road you'll find the town themselves, consisting of four huts each one. Then there's yet another road that goes around the whole realm. In adittion, there are four more uncolored (gray paths) on each corner of the realm. Instead of going around the realm, they take you from one colored road to the next one. It's actually better to follow the colored road, but some chests are found in these gray paths. Once you give him the necklace, you can find another one and give it to the old man as many times as you want Walking in the sky I found what seems to be a glitch on konquest mode. In the OrderRealm in H5 on the outermost ring, there is a certain spot where you can walk off the edge and run around in the sky. to be exact, it is located across from the building containing the OQ key for Quan Chi's Fortress. to be more precise, it is DIRECTLY across from the tree next to that building, on the outermost ring. get on the outermost ring at H5 and put the gap between you and the tree, the tree should be to your west. then just turn around and walk to your east and there is nothing blocking you from going off the ledge. You can run around in the air but when you go so far everything disapears and it displays only a number rather than a number and letter (like h-5 etc, it says -5) Moving kombatants in Netherrealm In Netherealm (E2) You can watch 2 kombatants in a plataform in the lava (from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. If you meditate continually, you'll notice that each kombatant will slowly move forward. They will eventually be standing on the lava, but will still move forward.
