1. About this FAQ
------------------
Welcome to my Kingdom Hearts II The World That Never Was FAQ. Here, you will
find information reguarding the final level of Kingdom Hearts II (a.k.a. The
World That Never Was), and the bosses found there, including the final
confrontation against the dreaded Xemnas. And so, let us begin, shall we?

-----------------------
2. Foes in the Streets
-----------------------
Once you successfully enter The World That Never Was, you will immediately
notice that it is not a friendly place. Heartless and Nobodies will attack you
as you press on toward Nothing's Call. This is a great thing for those who
like to level up. As the baddies come at you in several waves, you can
continue to defeat some of them, walk a little ways onward, then come back and
fight some more, or you can defeat them all at once. Either way, if you beat
enough, you'll be sure to go up a couple of levels before you even reach this
level's first boss.

Like I said before, if you defeat some of the Heartless and/or Nobodies in one
area, go onward for a second, then come back, the creatures will re-spawn in
waves. This allows you defeat even more enemies, which makes it possible to
level up even more. After some more events (I'm committed to not spoiling the
story for you), head to the Hall of Empty Melodies and prepare to fight
Xigbar.

-----------------------------
3. The Battle against Xigbar
-----------------------------
When the fight starts, Xigbar will be sniping at you. Make sure you use the
Break and Warp Snipe Reaction Commands to send the beams back at him and to
avoid damage. Once Xigbar comes down to your level, use Reflect spell to
defend yourself against his shots. Don't lose sight of him as he teleports, or
he may take free shots and you without you knowing about it. When the stage's
shape changes, get ready for more shots to be fired at you. Using Reflect
spells will send them right back at Xigbar, dazing him. At this point, run up
to him and use Limit attacks and/or Valor Form. When Xigbar fires blue beams
at you, you can counter with multiple Warp Snipe Reaction Commands.

Get ready for what will come your way once the stage's shape is nothing but a
small square. Xigbar will fire quick shots at you that cause way too much
damage. If you have magic at the ready, use Reflect spells to avoid the
incoming fire. Otherwise, run around the far sides of platform to avoid the
shots. Now you must continue damaging Xigbar and making sure you have enough
HP to continue the fight. Keep at it and you will eventually win the first of
multiple boss battles here in The World That Never Was.

Sora: Magnet Element
Donald: Item Slot
Goofy: HP Boost

4. The Battle against Luxord
-----------------------------
This battle is different than any other thus far. The battle against Luxord is
a battle against time. Basically, whoever runs out of time (look toward the
top of the screen to see bars that show each character's time) first will lose
the fight. As you attack Luxord to make his time bar drop at a faster rate
than yours, you will find yourself being turned into a card or a die. Since
you cannot heal in these forms, attack Luxord so that he has less time to
attack.

Use the Flip Reaction Command on Luxord whenever you get the chance. When
Luxord turns himself into a card, use the Flip Reaction Command on his card
once it stands up with the other cards. You will also have a chance to use the
Begin Game Reaction Command. When you use this Reaction Command, Xs and Os
will appear in the Command Menu. Hit the button on an O, or else you'll get
turned back into a card or a die. Lastly, as the battle presses on, Luxord
will throw multiple cards onto the floor and he'll begint to teleport. Jump
to avoid the cards. Once Luxord's time has run out, you'll win the battle.

Note!
*****
Remember, even though the purpose of this battle is to see whose time will run
out first, Sora can still die if he runs out of HP!

5. The Battle against Saix
---------------------------
When you enter the Addled Impasse, prepare for a tough fight against Saix.
Saix will start out by going Berserk. Watch the Berserk meter in the top-left
corner of the screen to see how long he will stay Berserk and when he can go
Berserk again. Or, you can grab one of the items on the ground, float over to
Saix, and then use the Berserk Reaction Command. This will stop Saix from
going Berserk until the meter fills again.

Attack Saix when he is not in Berserk mode to avoid taking too much damage.
Use Limit attacks and Valor Form (or Final Form if you have it) to deal a
good amount of damage to Saix each time you knock him out of Berserk mode,
and eventually you will bring him down.

Donald: HP Boost

6. The Battle against Xemnas
-----------------------------
The first battle against Xemnas is a piece of cake, NOTHING compared to what
you'll have to go through in the fights in the near future. If Xemnas is
surrounded by darkness, he cannot be damaged. So instead, wait for crystals
to materialize around Sora, then run for the building. Using the Face Down
and Clash Reaction Commands, you can get rid of the crystal before they take
away too much of your HP. Dodge Xemnas as he teleports across the area and
when stay back when he starts swinging his swords at you. When Xemnas puts up
a shield, he is vulnerable to an attack from the side, so let him have it with
the Trinity Limit and multiple combos. Once you win the fight, get prepared so
that you can head off right to the final battle and finish this adventure.

7. Notes Before the Final Battle
---------------------------------
Once you enter the Final Battle, there's no turning back. So make sure you
have done everything you want to before proceeding. Whether you want to fight
Sephiroth or acquire the Ultima Weapon, you must do it now before you fight
Xemnas in the Final Battle.

---------------------
8. Getting to Xemnas
---------------------
After you proceed through the large doors, it is time to get to Xemnas so we
can finish this quest once and for all.

-----------
8a. Area 1
-----------
As buildings come up in front of you, use the Slicer Reaction Command to deal
with them. When you start jumping from building to building, using Escablade
and Sky Scraper Reaction Commands will get you to Area 2.

-----------
8b. Area 2
-----------
Now you must knock your enemies into two laser cannons while avoiding large
blasts using the Stunt Dodge Reaction Command. Once you've knocked enough
enemies into both cannons, you'll proceed onward to Area 3.

-----------
8c. Area 3
-----------
Here you must destroy the energy core. Attack it until a barrier surrounds it.
Now you must defeat all of the Nobodies, and once you do, the barrier will
disappear. Continue attacking the core until it runs out of HP, then finish it
off with the Proceed Reaction Command. Now you can confront Xemnas and begin
the four-phase Final Battle.

--------------------
9. The Final Battle
--------------------
The fight against Xemnas is not going to be an easy one, that's for sure. So
make sure you have plenty of healing items at the ready, and make sure you
use the Reaction Commands to your advantage in this epic battle.

------------
9a. Phase 1
------------
In the first phase of the battle, Xemnas is just sitting down, making him an
easy target to whack with your Keyblade. Just make sure you don't get hit too
much by the attacks that Xemnas uses or else you will take damage. But Riku
has the ability to heal, so this shouldn't be too much of a problem. Use
Riku's Limit attack to cause maximum damage, then use Valor or Final Form to
damage him even more. When you've depleted all of his HP here, it's on to the
second phase.

------------
9b. Phase 2
------------
Next, you'll find yourself flying alongside Riku, chasing after Xemnas's ship.
When you are under fire, use the Circle Button to drain the shots into energy.
When the Energy meter in the upper-left corner of the screen is full, you can
use the Megalaser. This is great from bringing destruction to any foe nearby,
as well as damaging the main ship. Make sure you take out any enemies nearby
so that you don't take too much damage early on. You must attack the ship
until you reduce its HP meter five times, at which point you can proceed onto
the third phase of the battle.

------------
9c. Phase 3
------------
This phase will feel similar to Phase 1 at first, except now you can glide
and jump higher and higher. Swing your Keyblade at Xemnas and continue to
attack him with combos. Sometimes you'll have to get over the shield, so hit
the Circle Button a couple of times to jump higher, then get over shield and
continue to attack Xemnas until he knocks you and Riku into the space
surrounding the ship. Use the gliding ability on the Square Button to make
your way back to the ship. Dodge the objects floating toward you and use the
Riding Shot and Meteor Rain Reaction Commands to break the shield. Dodge
lasers and then head over to where Xemnas is sitting and let him have it with
Limit attacks and your Keyblade.

------------
9d. Phase 4
------------
Here it is. The final phase of the final battle. It has all come down to this.
It's just Sora and Riku againts Xemnas. Let's finish this now! First of all,
repeatedly use the Reversal Reaction Command to avoid damage until the initial
combo ends. When Xemnas splits, try to determine which one is the real Xemnas.
This isn't exactly easy, so you'll have to choose one and see if it takes
damage. Riku's Limit attack is really useful in this fight, so use it whenever
the opportunity arises. When Xemnas attacks with lasers, run around and avoid
as many of the lasers as you can.

Later in the fight as you continue to damage Xemnas, he will eventually
capture Sora. At this point, you now control Riku, and you must make your way
toward Sora. Using Dark Aura, you can keep Xemnas's clone safely away from
you, and when you get close enough to Sora, use the Reaction Command to free
him. Toward the end of the fight Xemnas will commence a lethal laser assault.
Repeatedly tap the X Button and Triangle Button to deflect the lasers. After
this, all you must do is continue to attack Xemnas and he will eventually go
down. Congratulations! You have beaten the game!
