SECTION 1: INTRODUCTION
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

Ahoy there! This is my first FAQ, and hopefully not my last. Please bear with
me if it's not up to snuff in some places. Anyways, this FAQ is, of course, on
Killzone. I'll try my best to put story parts in order, so don't skip ahead
if you give a crap about spoilers.

Killzone is a first person shooter (FPS) that takes place in the future with
futuristic weapons and vehicles and so forth. It's much different than most
FPS due to the fact that you can't just charge through and beat the game that
easily. If you do, you will be taken down quickly-no doubt about it (unless
you're using codes).

I've been wanting to get this game for the longest time, well before it came
out. I was looking forward to this almost as much as I was looking forward to
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I was not disappointed. This game is wonderful;
it has great gameplay, a great story....and well just great everything. I hope
you enjoy it as much as I have.

This FAQ is copyrighted 2005 Brandyn Lee. It may not be reproduced, reposted,or
a part taken out of it without the my consent. If someone does one of
these things and persists in doing it even after several warnings, criminal
charges will be pressed against the culprit. Anyone who sees this on any place
except gameFAQs.com, CheatCC.com (happy now?), and neoseeker.com. If there are
any sites other than the aformentioned ones, please inform me. This list may
grow as time progresses.

As for Email, please only Email me if you have a question and include Killzone
in the subject so I know what you're talking about. I'm a little less
restrictive on AIM or MSN. I don't like people to spam me with stuff that has
nothing to do with anything. If I get too many people talking to me, I'll have
to make it to where noone except my friends will be able to IM me and I'll
remove my AIM sn from the top of this. You will then have to resort to email
for your questions. Sorry. Also, SEND ME QUESTIONS! What's a FAQ/walkthrough
without a FAQ? The ones that are asked the most will be put into the FAQ
section. And if you find anything missing that you can help me with, send that
in along with your name so I can give you credit.

::::::::::
Techniques
::::::::::

As I said in the introduction, Killzone is much different than most other
FPS. You can't just go gung-ho and charge through the rooms and actually
expect to win the game. You have to take it methodically, one step at a
time, without rushing. This involves a few things I'll explain in this
section. Let's start with the easy stuff.

Sniping
-------

Sniping is a bit different in this game than it is in most other games. It's
a bit more difficult for some and for others it's easier. First off, the orange
glow can sometimes hinder visibility, especially in the outdoor levels. In the
indoor ones it works out fine. Another thing different about sniping is the
scrolling. Instead of the crosshair staying in the center of the screen while
the camera moves, the camera stays still while the crosshair moves. When the
crosshair gets close to the edge of the screen the camera moves in the
direction the crosshair is going. Sniping is a skill that will be very useful
in some levels. You might want to practice it in deathmath or other Battlefield
modes. One more thing, always, always, ALWAYS try to go for headshots.
They're more efficient and look better on your profile.

Using cover
-----------

You'll want to get behind your surroundings so it will take the bullets
instead of you. In order to get behind low-to-the-ground objects, press
L2 on your controller to crouch. It will make you harder to see for the
enemy plus it makes you a smaller target. This is the best way to fight,
especially if you're trying to fight off several enemies at once (which
you will be doing most of the time). When not fighting, you might want
to stay crouched most of the time just in case someone comes out of
nowhere and shoots you (unless you know it's safe or you're needing
to run). Also, when grenades are thrown at you or near you, run like
hell to get away (just thought I'd note that :-D).

Using your gun
--------------

You never want to fire in long strings because your gun well lose
it's acurracy quickly if it's a automatic weapon (especially
Helghast guns). The only exception to this rule is when you're trying
to keep someone pinned down, then accuracy means less as long as you
fire into their general area. Just watch out when you do that because
most clips on guns don't last terribly long and while you're reloading
the person can shoot back at you (then you can duck behind something
and use cover, but the roles will be switched and you will be pinned
down). When you're with allies, however, they can keep firing while
you reload to keep the person pinned down.

Using grenades
--------------

Grenades are pretty simple...or so you might think. If you don't use
them properly, you'll end up with a body full of frag and a game over
screen. Have you ever seen those shows where one guy kicks open a
door and another guy chucks a grenade in there to clear it out and
they all storm and and shoot everything that moves? That works in
the game too! Well...sorta. If you throw a grenade where you're sure
enemies are, you can take them all out in one fatal blast. Watch out
though, they may richochet back at you, and if you cooked the
grenade you don't have a chance. Which brings me to the subject
of cooking. Cooking a grenade is when you hold onto the grenade for
longer so your enemies have less of a chance to get away in time
unscathed. There is a counter on the grenades that beep and a light
turns on the longer you hold on to them. If all the lights turn on,
the grenade detonates. To cook a grenade, simply hold the throw grenade button
(L1).

Avoiding fragmentation
----------------------

This section is for when you're on the recieving end of a frag.
There isn't much to avoiding a grenade. Just try to pay attention
to the noises around you and when an enemy says "Frag out!", run
like hell to get away from there as quickly as possible. When
the enemy yells that, it's most likely a type of frag that
explodes on impact instead of a timer. Fragmentations have a
distinct noise when they explode that you will learn to listen
for. I can't explain it with words but you will soon learn the
sound.

Understanding your Heads Up Display (HUD)
-----------------------------------------

This section will explain to you what all the symbols means on your HUD. In the
center of your screen is the cross-hair. It tells you where your bullets will
go. When it turns read it means your aiming at an enemy. When it turns green
it means your aiming at an ally.

At the lower left-hand corner of your screen are two meters. The big
one on top is your health and the thin one on bottom is your stamina meter.
When your health meter goes down, it changes color and when it finally empties,
you die. It regenerates part way over time (any other part you'll need health
to regenerate it). The stamina meter measures how long you can sprint. Press
L3 to sprint. You can't fire or change weapons when you do. When the meter
turns red that means you can't sprint until it changes to a bluish color.

The symbols in the lower right are all your weapons symbols. The one on the
leftmost part of these symbols is the grenades symbol. It says how many
grenades you have (duh!). The next one over shows your secondary fire
ammo. With most guns you can only carry a limited amount of secondary ammo
and your gun carries only one. The number on bottom shows how much secondary
ammo you have (not including what's in your gun). If your gun doesn't
have any secondary fire, this will be blank. Finally, is the symbol on
the far right. This is the primary ammo. The number on bottom is the number
of bullets you're cuurently carrying (not including what's in your gun).
The symbols on top shows how much is in the gun. When this empties,
your character automatically reloads and takes away from the number on bottom.

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Differences Between Difficulty Levels
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Easy
----

Simple, easy, good for beginners. The enemies are less intelligent and use many
stupid tactics. This mode is great for those who are new to Killzone or FPS in
general. The enemies are also taken down faster.

Normal
------

The default difficulty level. This is good for those who may be new to Killzone
but know how FPS work. The enemies are stronger, smarter, and faster than
before. The game is still very beatable, of course.

Hard
----

Now this is a real challenge. Enemies are almost human. They are intelligent,
strong, fast, and their weapons can easily take you out. Instead of your allies
being able to take as much damage as needed, they can actually die and you
must finish the level on your own. They do come back in the next level,
however.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
SECTION 4: VEHICLES
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

ISA Lancer
----------

Threat: None (it's your ally)
Weapons: Cannon
Description: This is basically just an ISA tank. It has the fire power of the
rocket launcher. As far as I know, you only see this once during the entire
game and that's during mission 1, part 4.

Helghast Tank
-------------

Threat: High
Weapons: Cannon, machine gun on top
Description: This tank reminds me a bit of a spider. It's machine guns are
extremely powerful and can take you out in just a few seconds. It's rocket
cannon can kill you or take out most of your health in one hit. When you
encounter one, hope that you have a missle launcher.

Helghast Dropship
-----------------

Threat: Slightly low
Weapons: Soldiers, machine gun
Description: All it does is just flies in, deploys it's troops and then leaves.
Machine guns provide covering fire for the troops it carries while they're
getting out. It usually drops 8 soldiers.

Helghast Jetbike
----------------

Threat: Medium
Weapons: machine guns
Description: This flying vehicle strafes with it's guns to kill ISA soldiers.
The guns are usually pretty easy to dodge due to surrounding cover. However,
if they do hit you, they cause quite a bit of damage. Most of the time you
need not bother killing them.

Helghast Carrier
----------------

Threat: Medium-high
Weapons: Soldiers, machine gun
Description: While troops are climbing out the back you always want to take
down the soldier manning the machine gun or else he'll keep you pinned down
with heavy covering fire. The bullets are strong and it deploys quite a bit of
men.

Helghast Attack Boat
--------------------

Threat: Medium
Weapons: Soldiers, MG
Description: As far as I know, they only appear on mission six (the swamp).
They cause a bit of damage but they're so easily taken out with regular bullets
it isn't even a challenge to destory them.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

already in the gun. It's only what you can carry without the gun.

:::
ISA
:::

Implaced Machine Gun
--------------------

Scope: Yes
Secondary Fire: No
Clip capacity: Unlimited
MaxAmmo Carrying Capacity: You can't carry it

around. Oh, and it does over heat so be careful.

Chain Machine Gun
-----------------

Scope: No
Secondary Fire: Missle
Clip Capacity: 800
Max Ammo Capacity: 800

Scope: Yes
Secondary Fire: Shoots grenade thing that drops into the ground and explodes

Description: Just a knife. It's instant death in Luger's hands though.

Grenade
-------

Scope: No

Clip Capacity: You can only carry one in your hand.
Max Ammo Capacity: 5
Description: You just chuck it and it explodes. Whammo.

ISA Pistol (thanks to David for info)
----------

Scope: No
Secondary Fire: No
Clip Capacity: 7
Max Ammo Capacity: 80
Description: A plain ol' one shot pistol. I usually trade it out before
I use it

Sub-Machine Gun
---------------

Scope: Yes
Secondary Fire: Grenade
Clip Capacity: I don't know
Max Ammo Capacity: I don't know
Description: Just another gun. I rarely use it. It has a semi-high rate
of fire.

Silenced Sub-Machine Gun
------------------------

Everything is the same as above except that it's silenced and it's for some
reason more powerful.

Shotgun (thanks to David for info)
-------

Scope: Do you need one?
Secondary Fire: Two shots
Clip Capacity: 8
Max Ammo Capacity:40

Secondary fire: None
Clip Capacity: Unlimited?
Max Ammo Capacity: Unlimited?
Description: Big honkin' anti-armor emplacement. I don't think you can actually
use it.

Anti-Aircraft Gun
-----------------

Scope: Yes
Secondary Fire: None
Clip Capacity: Unlimited
Max Ammo Capacity: Unlimited
Description: You only use this once on the second level. When you get on it, you
have a lot of fire power but you're out in the open so you're pretty
vulnurable.

Emplaced Machine Gun
--------------------

Scope: Yes
Secondary Fire: None
Clip Capacity: Unlimited
Max Ammo Capacity: Unlimited
Description: You see several of those. They have an insanely high rate of fire
but they're really inaccurate. Just hope you're not on the recieving end of it.

Missle Launcher (thanks to David)
---------------

Scope: No
Secondary Fire: Triple shot
Clip Capacity: 1
Max Ammo capacity: 3
Description: It turns out it DOES exist. Still never used it. The secondary

Knife
-----

Look at the ISA knife description. It just looks different.

Battle Pistol
-------------

Scope: No
Secondary Fire: None
Clip Capacity: 1

of people. I personally don't like it too much.

Helghast Pistol
---------------

Description: It's semi automatic and fires in short bursts. Other than that
it's
like the ISA pistol.

Helghast Assault Rifle
----------------------

Scope: Yes
Secondary Fire: Shotgun like round
Clip Capacity: 50
Max Ammo Capacity: 300
Description: Like the ISA one except it has a higher rate of fire with lower
accuracy.

Light Machine Gun
-----------------

Scope: No
Secondary Fire: None
Clip Capacity: 100
Max Ammo Capacity: 300
Description: Has a high rate of fire, low acuracy, blah blah...The aiming is
harder without a zoom feature though. It has a nice clip.

Sniper Rifle
------------

Scope: Yes....no shit...
Secondary Fire: none
Clip Capacity: 6
Max Ammo Capacity: 24
Description: It has nice range. I like using it. Except for that orange glow
that will kill you in outdoor levels. The scope is fixed until you move the
crosshair against the side of the screen, then it moves. I has a one shot
kill most of the time. Good for taking gunners out on tanks. If your enemy
has it though, stay covered. Even then you have a chance of getting kill if you
come out a little bit. Just check out the park level.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
SECTION 6: STORYLINE
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

Killzone has a fantastic storyline (at least for a FPS). In this section I will
explain everything that has happened up to the beginning of the game. In the
walkthrough, I will explain everything that's happening as you move along.

Helghan is a planet that has been colonized by our decendants. Its atmosphere
and its other enviromental things were damaging the the colonies at first.
Its inhabitents were sickened and weakened; many died. But the sickness then
became a strength. It made their bodies larger, more muscular, almost
superhuman. However, it did not make them invincible.

The Helghan leaders now claim that the ISA has suppressed and conquered them
like beasts. They say the ISA is evil and they have made a call to arms.
Thousands, hell, even millions across the planet of Helghan have answered. The
Third Helghan Army launched an attack on Vekta, a planet near Helghan, in
order to unleash revenge.

The Stationary Defense platforms attempted to launch an attack on them but
for some bizzare reason failed. Many Helghan ships have crossed the Vektan
atmosphere and have landed on the planet. They slaughter mercilessly. If
you stand against them, they will kill you. If you join them they will
brainwash you into submission or they'll kill you for the heck of it.

ISA forces on Vekta on outnumbered and out-gunned. Meager attempts at
resistance have been made, nearly all of it has failed. They're taking
over and nothing can be done to stop them. Communications are being
taken down. Soldiers are being cut off and killed. Helghan is taking
over.

However, there is one particular, unimportant line of defense that holds
Vektas only hope. His name is Captain Templar.

You play as Captain Templar as you try to save Vekta from the clutches of
evil. You will have the oppurtunity to play as 3 other characters who
I will explain in the next section.

:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:
Section 7: Characters
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

:::::::::::::::::::
Playable Characters
:::::::::::::::::::

Captain Templar
---------------

Part of the force: Rapid Reaction Force (RRF)
Description: Templar is the basic, all-around kinda guy. He has pretty good
skills in all the weapons, and he has nice speed too. He's great for
beginners. I usually used him most of the game.
Level Available: The whole game
Default weapons: Assault Rifle, Pistol
The manual's description of RRF:
Using advanced skills, tactical acumen and
firepower, the RRF was set up to insure Vekta's first line of defense remains
the ultimate deterrent to potention aggressors.

RRF members possess a good mix of skills and attributes, but it is in the
area of leadership that their true value is found - their motivation and
aptitude form a focal point for ISA resistance forces that allow even small
outnumbered squads to come out on top in general combat situations.

Shadow Marshal Luger
--------------------

Part of the force: Shadow Marshalls
Description: A lightly armed, lightly armored speedster that flys around
killing people with her knife. She can be easily killed though, so remain
cautious. She's the only on who can use the heat vision which helps
you see enemies. She's best in the hands of advanced players.
Level available: after level 2
Default weapons: A silenced Sub-Machine gun (she's the only one who
uses it), and a knife which she can instantly kill with.
The manual's description of the Shadow Marshalls:
The elite unit of modern day special operatives. Relying on cover,
atheleticism, covert weaponry or just their bare hands, the Marshals'
menacing reputation is fully deserved.

More mobile than their other ISA counterparts, Shadow Marshals are able
to quickly vault and climb ladders and ropes and crawl through vents;
creating minimum disturbance and gaining entry to areas that would
otherwise be inaccessible, or that enemies or comrades not even be
aware of. Shadow Marshals are also equipped with nightvision goggles.

Rico (I forgot his rank)
----

Part of the force: ISA Regulars
Description: A massive, powerful, tank of a man. He carries around one
of the strongest weapons in the entire game. He's also slow, but some
may not be bothered by that. If there is one character you can go
gung-ho with, it's this guy (though I wouldn't recommend it). I guess
he's pretty much ok with all levels of player skill, though I think
beginners should learn how to play with Templar before trying with
this guy. He also hates Hackah.
Level Available: after level 3
Default weapon: Chain Gun (800 freaking rounds! no reloading!)
The manual's description of the ISA Regulars:
The life blood of the ISA forces, these soldiers can harness their
natural aggression during combat and utilise their heavy weapons
training to devestating effect.

With a high resistance to incoming fire and enemy traps and mines
that would instantly kill their slighter counterpartsm every ISA
squad needs at least one soldier like this. Their powerful weaponry
is also essential in the destruction of some enemy emplacements, but
the added weight hinders movement manoeuverability, leaving these human
bulldozers with no option but to take the most direct route.

Colonel Hakha
-------------

Part of the force: Field Operatives
Description: He's kind of like Templar's counterpart. I haven't
played much with him but for some reason I couldn't stay alive.
He has a bit more armor than Luger but less speed, so he's a little
more pointed to the speedster part of the abilities.
Level Available: After level 4
Default Weapon: Helghan Assault rifle, Helghan pistol (I think)
The manual's description of the Field Operatives:
This squad of undercover agents rely on nerv and diplomacy and can
often equal the different between success and failure.

Whilst they recieve standard weapon and tactical training, operatives
most also maintain a high level of physical fitness, allowing them
to vault, climb, etc, in the field. One special Field Operative
division is made up of Human/Helghast half-breeds; these soldiers
can bypass Helghast sensors, mines and senty bots without detection.
They are also expierienced operators of both Human and Helghast
machinery and equipment.

:::::::::::::::
Plot Characters
:::::::::::::::

General Vaughton
----------------

Commander of the forces on Vekta. After the SD platforms fail, he
tries to get Templar to find the security to return to him so
he can repair the platforms, but things go awry. He also sends
Templar to find Hackah and bring him back with his information.
Captain Templar is his favorite Captain and constantly calls on him
for missions.

General Adams
-------------

Commands the SD platforms which fail. He's very angry, always yelling
at the man who is supposed to fix the platforms but can't without the
security. His loyalty to the ISA is...questionable. Watch out for him.

Private Sanchez
---------------

You only see him a few times during the game, but he's quite a help
so I thought I'd go ahead and add him. He's just a regular soldier
that helps out Templar in the first level and he also controls
the tutorial. He also helps one other time, later in the game but you'll
have to find out for yourself how (or just cheat and look down in the
walkthrough).

General Lente
-------------

Leader of the Third Helghan Army. He's in the video before the main
menu pops up. You only actually meet him once in the game, and that
doesn't turn out well.

::::::::::::::::
Enemy Characters
::::::::::::::::

Regular Helghast Soldier
------------------------

The most common enemy in the entire game. They have a metal helmet on
and they have oxygen masks and oxygen pipes. Their outfits are darkly
colored and the guys of their masks are a deep freaky looking orange.
They carry Helghast Assault rifles. They aren't too strong; they're only
the grunts of the army so of course they don't present much of a challenge so
don't worry about them. A few have sniper rifles that are pretty dangerous.
If you run into a squad of them you might want to be cautious.

Helghast Elite
--------------

They're the bald Helghast that carry the light machine guns. They're a bit
stronger than the Regular Helghast Soldier but not much more powerful. A
few head shot will take them down pretty easy. The light machine guns
can be a bit of a problem due to the high clip capaticy and high rate
of fire. If they die and you have a crappy weapon you don't want anymore
go ahead and pick it up.

A weaker version of Helghast Elite (I didn't know what to call it)
----------------------------------

These guys are freaking easy to kill. They're just a bit more powerful than
the regular Helghast Soldier. They also carry the same assault rifle.
Don't even worry about them, they'll barely present a challenge.

Helghast Officer
----------------

The Officer takes a few shots to take down but they don't carry much
firepower. They only carry the Helghast pistol. You'll be able to tell
which ones are the officers due to the fact that they'll be firing pistols
at you and they'll be wearing a uniform similar to the old Nazi one.

Helghast Super Elite
--------------------

They're the second hardest in the game to kill. They carry anything from
the grenade launcher to the assault rifle to the light machine gun.
Their armor is mad out of metal so it will take a nice bit of shots before
they're finally taken out. If you encounter a squad...well...good luck.

Helghast Super Duper Elite (I'm sorry, I'm really bad with names)
--------------------------

Oh...man...watch out for these guys. They carry all Helghast weapons
available. They're nearly impossible to kill but lukily they only show
up on the last level near the very end. I can only hope you survive if
you encounter a group. They might kill you with frags if you hide behind
something but if you go out in the open they'll kill you then with normal
guns.

Sentry Robots
-------------

Just regular ol' robots. Only take a few hits to kill. They shoot a pretty good
rate of fire, though. You don't encounter many of these throughout the game.

SECTION 8: WALKTHROUGH
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

::::::::::::::::
Helghast Assault
::::::::::::::::

Part 1

The game starts out with Templar and crew being attack in a trench. The comms
are out to they have problems communicating and are cut off.
Pvt. Sanchez slides down and explains there's a minefield that will hold the
Helghast so they can retreat. Then he says that he can help lead the retreat
group. The game starts there.

Defend the Foxhole
------------------

You start off in the trench with something on the top explaing all the buttons
(it doesn't just use the default control, it goes with however you set it).
Sanchez is helping you along. When he tells you to, watch out for guys coming
towards the trench and open fire. You'll also see a tank, don't worry about it
yet. When the first wave is done, crouch down and reload to prepare for the
second wave. When you're done, go ahead and zoom in and look for the next
wave. If you start to get shot, just duck down until your health comes back.
Once the second wave is done, reload and turn a little to your right. The
third wave will come from there. Sanchez will turn back and start to find
a way out so you'll have to take the guys out without him.

Move to the next foxhole
------------------------

Turn around and head to your left. Sanchez will be moving some barbed wire so
you cane leave that area. Follow Sanchez in the trench to the next foxhole
and start taking out people.

Defend the second foxhole
-------------------------

If you see bullets landing near you, go aheadand duck down for a second and
reload if you want. Eventually, someone will saythat there are ISA survivors
coming and you need to protect them. Just keepshooting people until they get
near you. They will give you the assault rifle's secondary weapon. A grenade
launcher type thing. Several more Helghast will come from the distance and
join the ones already up front. Carefully aim one (remember they don't go
straight, they drop) and take them out. If you miss, don't try again, you might
need the other one. Just clean up what's left.

Run to vehicle wreck for cover
------------------------------

Turn around and sprint (L3) to the vehicle. Grab the health if you need it.
When your stamina meter fills up, sprint the rest of the way to the next
trench. You may get a little damage from tanks but don't worry too much about
it.

Defend the main trench
----------------------

This part may take a little while because it's hard to kill the enemies from
this distance and visibility and they often make you duck down with fire.
Just zoom in and take out the guys that are firing at you. A few might get near
the trench and you may have to get in some semi-close quarter combat. If they
die close enough you'll get their weapon though.

Retake the main trench
----------------------

Head out the door you came and take a right (you came from the left). Past the
barbed wire, follow this until you come to a turn. Right around this turn is
a Helghast soldier. Duck down and press the action button while near him (x)
to him and kill him. If he turns around, watch out for his shotgun fire and
whack him one. You'll get his gun, a Helghast assault rifle. I only use those
when I need to. Turn back around and get the health near the dead ally if you
need it. Past the Helghast dude, you'll see a emplaced machine gun. Press
the action button near it to take control of it. Be careful not to fire your
gun too much or else it will over heat it, something you don't want. It wastes
precious time that you can be getting shot during.

Enter the Industrial Area
-------------------------

Get off the gun and head to the door opposite from the one you came into.
Down this trench you'll see an ISA guy and you'll automatically pick up
grenades. Do what he says and carefully throw it into the room. It will kill
the enemy inside. (L1 is to throw a grenade) Be careful not to bounce the
grenade back at you. Run in and take his secondary bullet. Once past that,
go ahead and jump down to the next area, you don't need to cross the bridge
thing since it doesn't get you anything. Go through the red doorway thing
and clear the next room with a grenade, same as before. Past the door is a
sharp left turn. Don't turn with haste, you may be shot down by two Helghast.
I usually used my grenade launcher on my assult rife here. If they start
shooting at you, just go back and shoot back at them when they start to reload.

Take a sharp right up here. The guy you're with tells you to cook a grenade.
Hold down the grenade button and chuck it in the room at the last second.
Head past this area to find three enemies up above shooting at your guys
down below. Just shoot and kill them. They won't pay any attention to you.
Go up a little slop to get to the next area. A soldier will start telling
you to go to the next place. Go across the wooden bridge and go to the darkened
area to complete this part.

Part 2

Kill the snipers
----------------

The guy at the beggining of this part will tell you that snipers are pinning
them down and they need you to go up the water tower to get a sniper rifle.
Move along the trench until you reach the end. Then exit. Look for a fence
to your right and go through the doorway there. Connected to the red water
tower is a ladder. Hit the action button near it and push the left analog stick
up to move up it. As soon as you get up the ladder, there will be the rifle.
Switch to your pistol and hold (o) to switch them out. Head over to the side
opposite the ladder, duck down, and turn on zoom. At the end of the street
there will be an opening with bullets coming down from it. Zoom in until
you see the Helghast. Go ahead and try for a headshot here. If not, that's
ok because it will most likely kill him anyway. One sniper down!

Now, look for your men down below and don't go down that ladder. Look
across the street. There will be a few enemies ambushing your men. Go ahead
and get some practice with your sniper rifle. Watch out because they WILL
shoot at you. A mission objective will be added that says "Enter shuttle
repair bays". Don't worry about that just yet. Follow your men around the
corner. Look to your left for a little area for cover or to your right for a
pillar (I prefer the pillar) and sprint to it. You'll need the cover. One or
more of your men will be taken down by the sniper. There are two enemies so
make sure you take them both out before moving along. Sniper bullets can cause
a ton of damage, so watch out.

Enter the shuttle repair bays
-----------------------------

When the big pipe ahead explodes, a few people from an area up above will
be shooting at you. I usually don't bother with them but there are some stairs
near them if you want to kill them. Or just use the sniper rifle. When you make
it through the pipe, there will be three enemies down below, look for their
orange eyes and fire. Head across this platform and exit out via a broken wall
that's just big enough for you. Head over to the guy that's calling for you
and follow him to the next area.

A tank will come and start firing at some allies down below. Once the guy with
the launcher dies, jump down, vault over the pipe, and switch out your
sniper rifle with the launcher. Duck down and make your way to find some
cover up ahead. Pop up just long enough to fire at the tank and go back down to
reload. Keep doing that until it explodes. Watch out, those guns can cause a
heap of damage.

A buttload of Helghast well come from around the corner. Go ahead and use the
rocket launcher to kill them. Turn to your right after they're dead and go
through that doorway. You'll get a grenade for your assault rifle. Grab some
cover while the Helghast start coming. You might want to ease out of the area
slowly to get a few that are hiding. Once they are dead, look behind you to
see who's calling your name and go down the street to them.

Part 3

Reach the ISA HQ
----------------

The level starts off with an ISA soldier that you need to use the building to
cross over to the next area. When a guy yells "Incoming jet bike" run over to
a metal boxed shaped thing that you can use for cover. Just hide there until
the jetbike leaves you alone. You may take a few bullets, however. If any ISA
guys die, take their weapons. You might need the ammo. As the jetbike makes
it's final pass (it only goes by you twice), Helghast soldiers will charge
through an opening just past the box your hiding behind on the other side. If
you have any grenades in your assault rifle, now is the time to use them. If
not, use normal grenades. If you don't have that, switch to the Helghast
assault rifle and use the shotgun feature. If you don't even have that, just
shoot with your ISA assault rifle while using the metal box as cover until
they're all dead and grab their guns and ammo.

Once they're all dead, someone will open up a new path to the stairs near
the box. Go ahead and run up them (don't worry, there aren't any enemies up
there yet). Switch out your rocket launcher for the sniper rifle and ammo.
Trust me, you'll need it. Switch back to your ISA assault rifle. A Helghast
will come up the left path on the bridge. If you don't feel like killing them
let your partners do it. Other wise, just shoot them. Slowly make your way
down whichever path you choose, right or left. They both lead to the same
place.

A Helghast may come down the stairs and shoot at you. Shoot through the stairs
and kill them. Slowly head up the stairs that the Soldier just came up. Throw
a grenade up and over the concrete thing that's blocking your view and hope
you might kill someone. Three Helghast soldiers will be shooting at you from
across the wide open space (opposite the stairs). One will be on a platform
jutting out of the building across from you. Another one will be a little bit
down and to the right hiding behind some boxes. The final one will be on the
same platform as the second one, but on the right side of it. He's hiding
behind a wall. Take some cover behind the Stack of metal boxes you just passed
by (not the ones next to the stairs, the ones next to one of the paths you
could have taken to get there). Pull out your sniper rifle and wait for them to
come out of hiding. When they do, try to get the headshot and take them down
with one hit. If you get a shot anywhere else in the body, they'll probably
die anyway. Try to kill them before they get too many shots off.

Slowly head up the stairway that you were just at. There may be a few Helghast
on top ready to ambush you if you couldn't take them out with grenades. There
are some boxes right next to the stairs for cover. Pull out your Helghast
assault rifle and use the shotgun secondary fire for a quick kill. If they're
close enough. After you have killed them, you might want to pull out your
sniper rifle for a quick kill on any Helghast coming your way. Be careful when
you get close to the bridge on your right. A jetbike will come and start
shooting at you. He can hit you if your underneath the roof of the building
near those boxes I mentioned earlier, not just near the bridge. If you're
running across when he comes, just sprint to the other side to avoid his fire.

Once you cross the bridge, you'll see an area similar to the one you just came
from. The pathway on your right holds a few Helghast that won't shoot at you
at first, but don't start shooting at them. A Helghast will come on your left
and you'll have to shoot him before dealing with the other guys. Get on the
right side of the boxes after you kill him. There is a Helghast shooting at
you on your direct left in that blurred area. Pull out your sniper rifle
and whack him one. If any come too close, blow them away with the secondary
fire on your Helghast assault rifle. Head down the right, past the destoryed
bridge and look for some boxes right in the middle of the next area. Two
Helghast are hiding behind those. Use a grenade and flush them out. Don't get
too close, the grenade might kill you or hurt you. Shoot them down if they
don't die immediatly but watch out, they can get a few bullets in you before
they die.

Destory the Helghast Tanks (the previous objective isn't over but I'm kinda
-------------------------- sick of it)

Pull out a grenade, hurry down a little bit of the stairs in front of you
until you see several Helghast. Throw the grenade at them but watch out, they
can take your health out very quickly. You might want to throw another one if
one doesn't work. You're in a very awkward position and can easily be shot.
You want to make your job as easy as possible. To make matters worse, when you
go back up, you'll be shot at by Helghast across in the building to your left.
He's below you so you'll have to get near the edge to kill him. He's behind the
right wall. Down below, there is a lot of ISA ammo near the dead ISA guy. Don't
go across the bridge just yet because you'll have to go back anyway and you
might be killed. Switch out your sniper rifle for the rocket launcher and look
down. Two Helghast tanks will be down there and they'll start to fire at you.
They can give out a ton of damage FAST. They'll each take 2-3 rockets to
destory. Once destroyed, switch back to your sniper rifle and cross the bridge
to the end the level. If you never destroyed the jetbike, he's back and at it
again. Just ignore it. Area complete!

Part 4

Report to ISA HQ
----------------

You start off inside a building. Go across the walkway until you reach the
stairs and go down them. A guy will be there and he will tell you that they've
been expecting you. He says he'll take you to their C.O. and to follow him.
He's a bit of a faster runner unless you sprint but that isn't neccesary. Just
follow in the general direction you know he's going. Anyways, he will head down
the corridor and take a left. There will be a big doorway up ahead and the guy
you're following will hide behind one of the little doorway edges to make sure
the coast it clear. Don't worry, there won't be any Helghast...yet. Follow him
down the street and into what looks to be the ruins of a building. The C.O. is
there. Don't worry, there aren't any Helghast...yet.

Defend the HQ perimeter (once again, the previous objective isn't over)
-----------------------

The Sarge will start trying to explain something, but as soon as he tries to
start talking, his walkie-talkie will speak up. The voice on the walkie-talkie
says that Helghast armor is coming your way. Right on cue, they show up. In the
corner and against the wall next to the "doorway" you just came in is some
ammo and health if you need it. In the middle area of the building is an
exploded ramp-looking thing that people can walk over. There is also a ramp in
the final area. Head over to the third area over or the area that
you just came into and get up against the wall to the left of the way you just
came in.

Pull out your sniper rifle. When the vehicle stops moving and starts firing at
you, try to shoot and kill the soldier manning the guns. Around 5-7 guys will
climb out of the vehicle and start running up the hills. Put away your rifle,
you won't need it for a few minutes. Take out your assault rifle (doesn't
matter which one, there is plenty of ammo for both) and start gunning them
down. If any come up the small mini-ramp in the second and third areas, don't
try to melee them, you might get shotgunned by their assault rifles. Instead,
either throw a grenade, let your troops take care of it, or gun him down
yourself (the shotgun secondary fire works wonders). Be sure to use the low
walls for cover.

Not a few seconds after the final man from that squad dies, another will come
to take their place. Once again, use the wall for cover, snipe, etc, etc. The
only difference is (I think) a few more guys. After those guys are dead, a real
tank shows up. Just duck down and don't bother wasting any ammo. Someone will
shout "Look, Lancer!". That means a tank from the ISA will come
and get you out of this mess. Just watch the Helghast be slaughtered.

Report to ISA HQ (same as before)
----------------

Over the walkie-talkie someone will shout that the Helghast have broken though
one of the perimeters. Then comeone will call for you behind you. Go back out
the door you came in but go towards a large doorway near you. The ISA soldier
says that he's to take you to General Vaughton and to follow him. Go ahead and
do so (not after refilling on ammo from the battlefield of course). Follow
him on a walkway through some rubble. He says that it's clear ahead...don't
believe him. You will go into a wear house with several boxes. The warehouse
has many Helghast troops in it. You might have to go through the old fashioned
"jump up and shoot and then duck really fast" method. You can use grenades of
course but I don't know if they'll be much good.

There's a dead ISA guy up past the last set of boxes but he doesn't have
anything. Take a left past the dead guy and a right past the boxes. The man
escorting you will tell you that there's an MG (machine gun) upstairs that you
can use. Head up the stairs and mount the gun. This part isn't difficult to
complete due to the fact that the enemy is surrounded and you have an MG. This
part doesn't need explaining. The enemy can only get a few shots on you because
you're a small target since you're hiding behind a gun. Just let loose and fire
but be careful not to let the gun over heat. Note: On the other side of the
area and slightly to your right is the corner of the building opposite of you.
The enemy likes to hide there.

Once those guys are dead, unmount the MG, take look your left for a door way.
Exit out of the doorway and to the outside to find a ladder at the end of the
platform. Get on the ladder and slide down. Start making your way to the
central area but not too fast. A dropship will come storming in holding 8 men.
You have two real options here. You can attack them using only your normal
weapons or you can return to your MG and not waste any ammo. These guys hide
more than the last set so you may need to unmount to kill any remaining
stragglers, especially behind the corner of the building I mentioned earlier.
Now go in the direction the dropship had landed (the past the MG nest you
were at). The guy escorting you will be over there next to a pile of sandbags.
Go towards what looks to be a keypad to the closed door way. You may need to
get quite close before the man escorting tells you that General Vaughton is
expecting you and opens the door. Enter the door way to finally end the level.

FMV: General Vaughton is informing the SD platforms that he will arrive soon
with the security key to repair the platforms. The comms go out. The General
then starts talking to Templar. He informs him that he needs him to find a
Colonel Hakha who apparently is hiding in the slums somewhere and needs to be
rescued. Templar says he'll take a small team (this will tell you what's going
to happen in the future). An explosion occurs and the video ends.

:::::::::::::::
Vekta Evacuates
:::::::::::::::

FMV: Templar wakes up. The HQ building around him has been heavily damaged.
General Vaughton leans over the woman from the previous video, the one who told
him that he would be heading up to the SD platforms within the hour. She looks
to be dead. Templar asks about the security key, but Vaughton informs him that
it never made it. The Captain tells Vaughton that he'll go after the security
key himself. The General moves to organize an evac.

Part 1

Escape from the HQ
------------------

Go straight and take a left. Follow the two ISA soldiers through the heavily
damage corridors. After a few seconds of running you run into two more ISA guys
overlooking an area that has several Helghast. Duck down behind the rail and
make sure no Helghast makes it up the stairs. Crouch and walk towards the top
of the stairs and let as little as possible show. Most likely, one of your
men will die because Helghast will swarm the stairs and use their shotguns.
As soon as this happens, get up and back off or else they'll use it on you. If
you need to and they get close enough, perform a melee attack on them. Once
they die, return to where you just were and look down to a small blackened room
next to the destroyed roof. Three or four Helghast will be down there. Zoom
in and take them out. Be sure to get as many headshots as possible so they go
down quickly.

The ISA guys will tell you that they'll stay there while you move ahead. How
kind of them. Now go down to the area where the three Helghast soldiers you
killed were. Inside next to a filing cabinet, there is a pistol that shoots
grenades. I would go ahead and switch out this with your normal pistol, it
might become useful. Leave out the room and head over to the doorway to the
hall that's right next to it. Down the hall, go ahead and bypass all rooms
because they don't contain anything. About halfway down, two or three Helghast
soldier come from rooms and from around the corner. You can go ahead and try
out your new battle pistol but it isn't advised since the soldiers are so
spread out and you would have to use multiple rounds to take them all out.

Go all the way to the end of the hall and take a left. Helghast troops will be
standing there and they'll start firing as soon as you come around. Duck down
behind something and thake them out. This is a good time to use the battle
pistol. At the end of this hallway and to the right is another soldier. Kill
him and move on. Turn to your right and go down the hallway. When you reach a
doorway to the next hallway, you'll hear Helghast talking and then they'll
charge around the corner. At the site of all the rubble from the roof, turn
right. Down the hall, you'll hear battle sounds and ISA troops calling out to
each other. When you reach the site, you'll see a rather large gunfight. Go
to your right to find a doorway and use the black things for cover. Aid your
men in taking out the enemy. Once you finally think you're taking the
advatage, an ISA soldier calls out that they have reinforcments. Sure enough,
more Helghast come from across the room. If you don't like using and wasting
a lot of ammo, you might want to use the Helghast assault rifle since there
will be many dead Helghast men when you're done. Head down the hall that the
Helghast reinforcments came from and take a right at the next doorway.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Move to the next room and leave it (actually, you never had to enter it in the
first place, it doesn't really matter). An ISA guy named Pvt. Billinghurst will
be there to aid you on your way to the security key. Billinghurst will lead you
through several damaged and destoryed rooms, all set ablaze. You will encounter
a large room that looks similar to the one you started off in in the beginning,
only it's backwards and you're the one on the bottom. Fortunally, the Helghast
don't know you're there to use suprise to your adavantage. Try to aim just over
the rail with your battle pistol to take them out. Or use grenades. Or just
charge up the steps with guns blazing. It shouldn't be difficult the take these
soldiers out.

If things go quiet, slowly ease up the stairs to the left and make sure no one
is still living. If they are, kill them. Once everyone is dead, Billinghurst
loses his nerve and announces that he'll stay there to "secure the area". Move
along through the firey ruins to the next area. Move along the hallway, across
the shattered glass, past the detoryed rooms, and beyond the dead ISA soldier.
Move along the right side of this room and get behind that cover that the four
ISA soldiers are standing in front of. You have several options to take out the
Helghast troops that are coming along the right side of the room (not the way
you just came from, the other direction). First, if you have battle pistol ammo
left over, you can use that when all of the Helghast are together to take them
out in one might blast. Second, if you don't have any battle pistol ammo left
over you can use the secondary ammo that's in your ISA assault rifle. Third and
finally, if you don't have either of those, you can simply use the thing you're
hiding behind as cover and shoot them down the old fashioned way.

Make your desicion quickly as the troops come around pretty fast. Your allies
help some but not too much. Anywho, once you've killed them off go into the
room next to the hallway they just came out of. Inside is a shotgun and a bit
of ammo for it. I would suggest you to switch out the battle pistol for this,
even if you have ammo left. I prefer a shotgun to the battle pistol any day.
The room also contains plenty of ISA assault rifle ammo in case you need it. Go
through the doorway that the Helghast you just killed came out of. Make a right
at the next turn. You'll be able to hear Helghast talking but you won't be able
to see them. Look closely at the end of the hallway to see 2 pairs of orange
eyes staring back at you. Kill them and move on. Move slowly, ever so slowly
around the corner of the hallway to the right to see a destoryed room with the
roof caved in. Helghast soldiers there will immediatly start firing at you so
take them out. Watch out, across the room is another soldier that will shoot
you as soon as you get out into the open.

Go back the way you came and then go down the hallway you didn't go down
before. Go around until you face the direction towards the hallway that you
came through the first time. Make your way down the rubble but be careful not
to fall to far and damage yourself. At the bottom of the rubble hill there is a
doorway at the bottom you need to go through to move on to the next area.
Before you go through though, you will need to take care of the soldiers inside
the room. You should use the grenade launching capabilities of the ISA assault
rifle. Or just shoot them. Once you finally kill them, go down the hallway and
make your way to the next room. You'll find yourself watching an ISA-Helghast
gun fight. But instead of just joining in and aiding your allies, you'll be
behind the enemy. Use this to your adavantage by surrounding the enemy and
taking them out. Once all the enemies are dead, someone will come over the
radio saying that they need you in the courtyard. An ISA soldier will offer to
let you follow him. He will exit out the door to your right. Once you do that,
this part will end.

Part 2

Repel the Helghast attack & Enter the research building (two objectives)
------------------------- ---------------------------

Leave the hallway you're in and get out into the open. An ISA guy will start
talking to you. As he is about to reveal the location of the security key, two
jetbikes attack. To dodge it, you have two choices. Go down the steps near you
and duck down or retreat back into the hallway you just came out of. Whatever
you choose, just keep hidden until the jetbikes leave. One of them may be
destroyed but don't come out yet. The other one will nail you the second you
try to get up. When they both finally come down, go ahead and head over to the
MG (the man previously manning it has been killed). There will be several
waves of Helghast coming. You know how to kill them so I don't need to
explain. Just be careful for anyone who hids behind the structure in the
middle of area. However, what you will want to watch out for is towards the
beginning of this section. When you first start gunning guys down there will
be many Helghast near the MG so you might want to use some sore of frag to
kill them.

After they're all dead, Vaughton announces an evac. Then the ISA guy still
living informs you that you can enter into the research building. Follow him,
but watch out. Another jetbike comes and starts strafting you and the other
guy you're with. I would suggest just to sprint across but you can head back
to find cover if you want to. If the jetbike isn't enough, several Helghast
pop up to ambush you. You might want to go back and man the MG again and
risk being strafted or you can take them down normally. Once finished with
merciless slaughter, follow the ISA guy to door. He'll open it and walk
through to finish this very short part.

Part 3

Retrieve the SD Platform firing key
-----------------------------------

Go forward. Behind some chairs to the left is some ammo in case you need it.
Continue on. In the next area, there are several Helghast lined up on the
second floor ready to take you down. Hide behind the door and come out for a
few quick shots before hiding again. Or you could use explosives, your choice.
Once they're all dead slowly ease into the room. Be careful when you walk in
though, as there are probably a few Helghast that will fire at you from the
walkway on the left. Go up the stairs, and around the barrier. You will see
a hole. Return back around to the walkway across from you to get some assault
rifle ammo if you need it. Return back to the hole. Throw a grenade into the
doorway to clear out any resitance that may be there (which there will be).
This is the perfect time for the shotgun. Go around the lockers to encounter
several Helghast (4 I think). Nail them with your shotgun. You may take a few
hits though. Head through the door to reach a checkpoint.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Escape from the research building
---------------------------------

Immediatly sprint to the room to your left. Listen to what the guys there say
about the evac and the security and prepare for a tough firefight. Ducking down
behind the counter with the broken window won't help as the second floor
soldiers can still get you. Duck behind the thing to your left while facing the
window to get real cover. Just pop out occasionally and nail whatever you can.
Don't stay too long or you will get shot.

Once completed with killing them, go to the other side of the room and enter
that door. Go through the steam and quickly find cover. On the opposite side of
the room are enemies. Go around one side instead of through the middle of the
room to avoid being surrounded. These guys are tough and can take out a good
portion of your health very quickly. By the way, you're fighting the Helghast
Elite. Once you are COMPLETELY SURE everyone is dead go downstears and past the
destroyed wall.

Use the wall as cover. There are Helghast in the room downstairs, upstairs, and
on the same level you're on. You can use explosives to take some out if you want
to. You're allies will actually be a pretty big help in taking out some of the
enemies. Go upstairs, around the corner, and onto the metal platform. There is
an area behind the rails and Helghast will come from the other side to attack
ou. Use the door as cover. Go to the railing to shoot anyone down below. Now go
around with the railing on your left to reach the next doorway.

The ISA guys inform you that they will be staying there and to go ahead into the
comms building. Use the white chairs as cover and shoot at the enemies across
the room. Go to the door that the Helghast were coming from, taking a right and
going to the door to end the level. Congrats!

Part 4

Reach the communications room
-----------------------------

Go down the hallway. To your left are some metal detectors that make noise when
you walk through but you don't even need to go through it. Just walk around the
conveyor belt and go through the doorway. Turn to your left and start walking.
You will hear the sounds of gunfire and ISA soldiers being shot. Hurry down the
hallway. You will see some stairs but walk past that to the thing that
overlooks the area. In the center in the water are ISA soldiers getting the
crap shot out of them. On the left and right on the same floor as you there are
Helghast shooting the crap out of ISA soldiers. There's also a grenade where
you stand. You know what to do (hint: don't use the grenade). You'll get a few
shots before the Helghast notice you. Then you'll have to use the old-fashioned
"pop up and killed method". After awhile Helghast start showing up in the
water to whoop up on the poor ISA guys. Nail 'em.

After taking out all of them, head downstairs and go through the water to the
other side of the room. Then turn to your right, go up the mini-ramp, and move
along the walkway, taking out everyone you see along the way. Exit the room
via a doorway on the walkway. Walk along the hallway 'till you come to a
straight part. Two Helghast come around the corner. There's hardly any need for
cover so just kill them. Continue on until you reach an area where you can turn
right (past that is an area that looks strangley like the end of the level but
isn't). Down the stairs is a circular room with cover in both directions.
Helghast cover the other side so kill them. They come from both sides so you
may need to frequently spin around to take out all your enemies.

Make your way along the left side of the room because the right side is
blocked. You will probably encounter a few hiding Helghast so watch yourself.
On the other side of the room grab the shotgun shells from the dead guy if you
need it and go downstairs.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Four Helghast soldiers will come around the corner (I actually got my first
death here). Get headshots if you want to live. Turn left and go down the
hall past the generators. Grab some cover behind on ASAP. Several Elite will
will nail you with good machine guns. Use grenades to kill several in one blow.
This part is pretty hard so watch yourself. Switch out your shotgun (you
shouldn't) or your Helghast assault rifle (you should) for the new light
machine guns. Continue past this room until you reach more stairs to a
circular room. Do the same thing you did last time you went in a circular room.

Slowly ease around the room. Instead of entering a doorway on the other side
of the room, you enter a little thing that allow you into the inner-ring.
Go around the inner-ring until you reach a ladder that you need to go down.
There are only a few guys on this floor so kill them if you want to, you don't
really need to. Move around the ring until you find another ladder you need to
go down. Exit out a thing that looks like the same one you entered in. There
are a few Helghast there, not too big a deal. Continue around until you see the
stairs up. Once you reach there, a voice comes over the PA saying that Vaughton
abandoned the evac point because there are too many of them (no shit,
Sherlock). Turn right and go down the hall.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

There are some enemies on the other side of the room. Take cover behind the
boxes and kill them. Go around the boxes to a doorway on the left side of the
room. Go through the hallways and grab the ISA ammo (finally) from the dead
guy. In the next area, take cover and get ready for a crazy firefight. Many
elite soldiers will be fighting you and you'll have to work hard just to
survive. Use grenades to flush out enemies. This will take awhile so be
patient, don't go gung-ho, and let your health regenerate when it needs to.
After doing that, go upstairs to the right or left and go down the stairs
down the hallway.

FMV: Templar walks in calling for Vaughton. A sniper aims at is head but is
killed by Luger. Apparently 4 snipers were originally there but they were all
killed. Luger will be accompanying Templar on his mission to find Hackha. The
video moves to the SD platforms. General Adams is scolding a man for doing not
doing something that is impossible to do without the security key. Adams gets
extremely angry, blah blah...

Congrats, you just unlocked Luger!

New Allies
::::::::::

Part 1

Reach the Park
--------------

You start off in a tunnel next to Luger (or Templar if you chose Luger). If you
are Luger, you can use your heat vision by pressing the square button. Turn to
the left and move down the tunnel. There is plenty of cover behind rubble here
so get behind one and nail the Helghast that are coming from around the corner.
Now go to where they're coming from to see three more Helghast. One of them has
a new gun that causes a bit more damage than the regular assault rifle. Shoot
them and move into the next doorway that is across the tunnel. In the next
area of the tunnel and to the right, there are alternating piles of rubble that
you can use as cover.

Move up this area slowly. Just keep moving to the next pile of rubble, kneeling
behind it, looking around to make sure no one is around, shooting anyone that
is, and moving on. You will shortly be at the end of this segment. Some of the
Helghast will hide behind the rubble, so you made need a grenade to flush them
out. At the end of the tunnel, turn left into a hallway that leads to an area
with a dead ISA soldier with a nice bit of ammo around him. Luger will mention
that you're on your way to the train station which will lead to the park which
will lead to the slums. Reload anything you want to and move up the ladder, out
of the room, and into the hall.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

You'll meet up with a few ISA guys that are pinned down behind boxes by
Helghast fire. One of them says that you need to follow him to get to their
squad. Follow him upstairs and into the building. Then go up a flight of
stairs in order to reach the squad. The C.O. will call you over to him in the
room past the one the stairs lead to. The C.O. will inform you that across the
open area are Helghast burricaded in a building. If you're Luger, he will tell
you to go blow up the door to the building. If you're Templar, he will tell you
to pick up the sniper rifle to cover Luger as she blows up the door.

For Luger: Slowly make your way across the bridge once the open up the door
near the hole in the wall. Use cover often and move slowly to avoid getting hit
as you make your way across. Once you're close to the door, run, plant the
charges and run as fast as you can to get back to your squad.

For Templar: You stay in one place the entire time but several times Helghast
will pop out from behind walls to shoot at you. Don't worry about Luger dying
because she can't. Just watch your back and take out everyone you can that's
shooting at you with headshots. Eventually, Helghast will start firing through
their hole next to the their door that is to be destoryed. Those guys are
priority so take them out. Luger slowly makes her way across the bridge to you
have to be patient and have a quick trigger finger in order to survive. Don't
worry, this part isn't hard.

Once the door is destroyed, move across the bridge. There are several Helghast
by the door once it's destoryed, though, so you must take them out first. Go
into the building after they're dead and go around the black chairs and into
a room with a bunch of Helghast hiding behind some cover. You may need to use
grenades to take them out. The enemy can easily take you by surprise here and
hurt you quite a bit. You must make sure they're all dead before going around
the cover and downstairs to the next area.

Move down and let your allies do something for a change. There are a lot of
enemies here that wouldn't hesitate to take you out. If you want to shoot,
use the wall as cover and let as little of you as possible show. However,
there is one major thing you do want to watch out for. It's the frags. Yes,
for the first time in the game so far, they use frags on you and they DO hurt,
Alot. Watch your back. If you'll look closely at the very far end of the room
up high in the rooms, you'll notice two or more Helghast standing up there. Use
your sniper rifle to take them out. Once you're sure everyone is dead, move
on and turn right. Move past the metal detectors and down the hall. Level
complete.

Part 2

Traverse the Park
-----------------

You have a long trek through the park to get through. This is one of the
hardest levels to do so far. This won't be, pun intended, a "walk in the park".
You start off on a tier leading out to the park. Go to the edge ahead of you
and look over at the next tier. Two Helghast are facing away from you. Use your
sniper rifle for a quick kill. Go down the stairs to the next tier. At the edge
of this tier, some Helghast come up from the stairs and start firing at you.
No need for the sniper rifle here, just take them out and move to the next
tier.

Go downstairs from this bridge to enter the park. Head to the left and look for
a bridge. Among the dead bodies next to the memorial looking thing, there are
12 rounds for the sniper rifle. Grab them. Trust me, you'll need them very
soon. If you linger too long, a few Helghast will start shooting at you from
long range on both sides. You may need the sniper rifle to take them out.
Go back across the bridge and go the way you didn't go before. Careful, next to
a stone structure up ahead are a few Helghast that can take you out. Use the
trees to your advantage to kill them. Inside the structure, you will be
attacked by Helghast from the left next to a Helghast Emplaced Machine Gun.
I usually creep out and use the sandbags as cover.

After killing them (you should use the sniper rifle or the Helghast AR), go to
the area that they were at. To the left in another stone structure, there are
a few ISA soldiers calling for help. There is plenty of ISA AR ammo here so be
sure to take advantage of it. Two Helghast show up so take them out point-blank
with the shotgun secondary fire. A few Helghast are in the distance so take
them out too. Using cover behind more stone are more Helghast but you may need
the sniper rifle to kill them. After they're all dead the ISA thank you and
you can move on. Move to the edge of this area and go to a large machine thing
surrounded by a fence. Across the river is a Helghast using a MG that you need
to take out.

Go back and cross a bridge to continue on. Move along this little area and
keep a look out for the next machine surrounded by a fence. Next to that is a
bridge. Luger says that you're on your way to the next tier to get out of the
park.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

IMMEDIATLY take cover behind the tree. Many Helghast are there and can easily
take you out. I encountered one with a sniper rifle that did a ton of damage.
You will see past the tree a few Helghast taking cover behind some stone next
to umbrellas. Also to the left a good distance away are Helghast. One, I
believe, carries a sniper rifle. You will be pinned down behind that tree for
quite some time so get comfortable. Only pop out for quick little bursts if you
want to live. You may have the need to grab ammo from time to time if you run
out but chances are you won't.

After killing most of the people, you may want to head over to the tier type
thing that's a short distance away from you to take out remaining Helghast.
In the camp that's near the tier, there are several Helghast needing to be
killed. So take them guys out, I'm pretty sure that by now you know how to do
that. Just ignore the bridge, there is nothing there. Head through the
massive doorway to continue. You will recieve an urgent message from a ISA ship
needing to take out a Helghast ship but being covered by two anti-aircraft
gunners. I'm sure you can guess what you need to do.

Kill the Helghast anti-aircraft gunners
---------------------------------------

Note: If you take out a gunner and another soldier gets inside, it still counts
the gunner as being dead.

From just past the doorway you should be able to get a glimpse of one of the
gunners. You only need to use the sniper rifle to take out the first gunner.
However, the next one is going to be quite a problem. To the left is another
fence surround machine. Get behind it. It will be just next to the next gun so
take it out with any rifle. Once the soldier inside is dead, quickly sprint
over to it and board it. It's very powerful and has a strong punch to it, but
it leaves you out in the open and vulnurable to enemy fire. Behind the tree is
the first AA gun. There will most likely be bullets coming from behind it so
aim and fire in the general direction of the enemy. Helghast will also be
coming up around you so you will need to quickly kill them. After everyone is
dead, exit the AA gun and move into a camp that is nearby.

Reach the next park tier
------------------------

Past the enemy camp is a bit of a walking distance but no enemies will be
there. Don't worry about using cover, just sprint occasionally to quicken the
journey. Simple enough, I say.

FMV: Templar and Luger are just walking along discussing nothing in particular.
Templar asks Luger if she ever has time for fun. I wonder what THAT could mean
*wink wink nudge nudge subtle hint*. Right in the middle of them discussing
"good times", a Helghast plattoon comes roaring in with tanks, soldiers, and
everything else. Then some insane wacko of a guy comes barging in and shooting
everyone. His name is Rico and he's your new best friend!

Part 3

Traverse the park
-----------------

Ahhh. Finally. A nice, short, action-packed level instead of those boring
drawn-out ones. Anyways, stand back while Rico takes care of the tanks. Really,
you can just stand back during most of the level and watch the show but that
wouldn't be too fun now would it? Get to a hill and cover Rico as he sprays the
Helghast scum. Just shoot a few bullets here and there, no need to go hog-wild.
After everything is gone, go straight down the path to the next objective.

Free General Vaughton from the park gatehouse
---------------------------------------------

Up ahead is a Helghast camp that needs to be cleared out immediatly. Take care
of those guys and find some cover facing a tier not too far from your location.
Use your sniper rifle to take them out. Shortly past this area is a machine
gun next that needs to be taken out. Continue on past the machine gun and to
the park gatehouse to end this level.

FMV: Rico, Templar and Luger charge into the gatehouse. The General is there
and he asks for the key. Templar gives it to him. The General then informs
everyone that they now need to find the Colonel Hakha. Rico informs the team
that his squad was killed by the Helghast and he hates all Helghast and this is
basically a revenge mission.

Mission complete! You just unlocked Rico!!!

:::::::::::::::
Strange Company (This stage was written using Rico)
:::::::::::::::

Part 1

Access the slums
----------------

Mission 4 starts off with a quick and easy mission. Templar tells you that
you'll be using the stairs to find Hakha. From the starting point, go a bit
to your right and look for a doorway. This doorway leads to some stairs that
you need to go down. I won't go into a deep explanation for this level. You
don't need cover. Cover is for pansies. Just go through and kill them all!
It's just a repetitive "kill everyone and go downstairs". Keep doing this
until you reach the end of the level. The only thing you even need to watch out
for is the overheating.

Part 2

Reach Waypoint Mall
-------------------

If you'll notice now, the amount of ammo you had last level carries over to
the current one. Since the chain gun ammo runs out so quickly, you may need to
watch your use of it and even switch to a different weapon occasionally. Or
not. Go down the hall and turn left. Soldiers will charge into the room. Kill
them quickly and go to the balcony overlooking the street. Helghast will be
spread out all across this street so you will need to kill them before moving
on down to the street level. You can only stand there for a short time before
you need to hid to get some of your health back. You may be Rico (or whoever
you are), but you still lose a lot of health fast at this part.

Near the stairway down several explosions will start occuring down the road.
Ignore them for now. Go down the stairs and use the broken wall for cover if
there are any lingering Helghast needing to be killed. Across the road will be
a MG nest that needs taking out. After he dies, Templar tells you to move on.
Move across the street and up a destroyed part of the road. Turn left and
move down this part. About halfway down, there will be several Helghast coming
around the corner. I used one of the missles on the chain gun here. Move to
the area past where the enemies came from to find grenades. Then go down the
hall and into the doorway.

Go upstairs and turn right. Go down the hall. In the room at the end of this
hall turn left. In this room will be many Helghast Taking cover behind objects
all around this room. This shouldn't be too hard to kill them though. Also in
this room is more ammo for your chain gun. Go into the doorway at the opposite
end of this room. At this end of this hallway, turn right and go through the
door to exit the building. Go down these stairs and kill the enemies to the
right, moving along once you've done that. Move around the fence and onto
the road. Once you've done this, a dropship will come (notice the gorgous
graphics here) and drop 8 guys. Duck down behind the rubble until the dropship
is gone or you'll get shot.

Now, while still using the rubble as cover, take out the enemies that have just
landed. Moving down the street, you'll notice that up ahead looking at you are
some Helghast that are making their way to the stairs. Kill them. Go up the
rubble to the right and then up the stairs. Kill the Helghast up there. Move
down this area and then go down the stairs at the end here to get back on the
street level. Part way down will be a few Helghast hiding next to a door. Kill
them and continue down the sidewalk. At the end of this will be the end of the
level.

FMV: Templar and crew charge in to find a squad of ISA executed (the F word is
used for the first time). Someone is still living, but barely. Templar turns
him over to find Private Sanchez from the Vektan trenches here. Right before
he administers medicine, Sanchez tells him to stop. The Pvt. has information
for their mission to find the spy. With his last breathes, Sanchez tells the
crew that Hakha was taken across the slums not too long ago. Then, he dies.
Templar and everyone move out to find Colonel Hakha before more people have to
die.

Part 3

Reach the slums
---------------

Go up the stairs and to the left into a mall. Helghast and ISA soldiers will be
fighting there, so you can't miss it. There is some ammo to the left, too.
All across the mall are walkways that are above the actual floor. Usually
Helghast are perched up there so you sometimes need to get up there to kill
some. Also, there are more Helghast with light machine guns so switch it out
for your pistol. Up the stairs is a sniper rifle which you can switch out your
Helghast assault rifle for. You will need it to take out some of the guys on
the walkways above the mall floor. In order to continue, you must retreat back
down the stairs and continue below. There will be many bald Helghast with light
machine guns that need killing. You'll also face a lot of fire from the
walkways above the mall. Just take your time andlet your health regenerate
often.

I lost half my health in a matter of seconds so you MUST USE COVER AT ALL
TIMES. You will NOT survive if you charge through, even with Rico. At the end
of this massive hall, go up the stairs and turn right to the Planet Yummy. You
hear a Helghast telling everyone else to kill the ISA. Many Helghast will start
charging at you so use any explosives that you may have to get rid of them.
Keep going down the hall, when a way is blocked, go to the other side to get
to the next place. Avoid the fire at the last one and continue on. To the right
and around the corner are some stairs but they have a hole in one of them so
just ignore it.

Continue up the stairs. After the first set of stairs, there will be Helghast
up above firing at you. Kill them all and go up the second set of stairs. I'm
sure you'll be happy to see that you now have to go through another one of
those massive hallways like you did earlier in this level. Immediatly after
going up the stairs you will be attacked by soldiers and by an MG in front of
a door. Kill the guy manning the MG along with everyone else but don't bother
with the door because there is nothing in there. Before you know it, you'll
be at the end of this hallway too. Go up the stairs and start making your way
back through the hallway via the catwalks above the ground. This is a simple
enough job. Just kill people and move along. At the end of this hallway, go
through one of the three doorways and into the next room to finish the level.

Part 4

Rescue Colonel Hakha
--------------------

Start walking a bit across the metal catwalk. Look to your left and down to see
Helghast and ISA fighting each other. Explosions will occur and several of the
Helghast will die. After everything happens though, a few will survive and you
will need to take them out. Just use your chain gun to kill them. They will
ignore you so don't worry about taking any damage. The ISA will thank you after
taking them out and tell you that they will keep holding the street. Continue
across the catwalk and through a doorway.

Turn right and go down the stairs. Go down the next set of stairs and through
the doorway. There is some ammo next to a dead ISA soldier in here but you
probably don't have the weapons for it if you're using Rico. Go through the
doorway down the hall and kill the Helghast that's charging in. Looking over
the the slums, you'll notice that this area looks somewhat familiar. In the
distance is a a bridge that 4 Helghast are walking across. Snipe them, but be
careful as there is light in the background making in difficult to see.

Go down the stairs to the street. Move to the mini-bridge that spans the
street's width and move across it. After you cross the bridge you will be
attacked from the other side by Helghast. Kill them and move along the side of
the street. Move across the next bridge and nail the Helghast that are charging
down the stairs. Go up the stairs that they came from and move across this to
the door. Enter the doorway to reach a checkpoint.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Move across this to the next doorway that you need to enter. You will then be
overlooking yet another street. This time, however, you will see Helghast and
ISA soldiers duking it out. The Helghast will be preoccupied with the ISA so
shoot and kill them while they're not paying any attention to you. The ISA
inform you that everyone is spread out across the slums. They say that Hakha is
near but the way to him is blocked by something. The squad that you were just
talking to then runs around the corner...only to see that a massive ship is
flying right towards them. The ship crash lands not too far from you and
Helghast kill the entire squad. Kill them all.

Far in the distance are more Helghast needing to be killed. So snipe them down
and move across the mini-bridge. Around the corner the decimated squad went
will be several Helghast and an MG. Templar and Luger give you cover while you
charge towards it to take it out. Lucky you. Sprint towards it and use an
explosive if you have one. If you don't just use a gun. Sprint towards the
stairs and go up them. Kill anyone that's up there and man the MG if there are
any Helghast left to kill.

Unman the MG and go down the stairs next to you. Up on the next balcony around
the corner will be a few more Helghast. After they're finished, go across the
mini-bridge and into the damaged metal huts. A little bit of the way through,
you will encounter some more Helghast. After that, you will find Helghast and
ISA fighting each other. Except this time, the Helghast have frags they can use
on you instead of just normal guns. Shoot for only short bursts before
returning back for a few seconds. Otherwise, you will be hit with frags.
Across the bridge you go and then up the stairs. There will be an ISA assault
rifle, but I wouldn't suggest you use it. Go across this area and into the
hallway.

You will hear more gunfire up ahead. Around the corner, find some cover. In the
distance is even more Helghast and another fragging person. What you can do
here is just hide behind something and let your allies do all the work.
Otherwise, just take them out normally. Down the stairs you will find a grenade
launcher that I would switch out with my sniper rifle. In the metal huts near
you you will find a shotgun. Go down the side of the road and cross another
mini-bridge. Ignore the stairs and go around the next corner to your right.\

Across the street will be more Helghast. Finish them off and cross the street
to the door. Go into the doorway to end the mission.

FMV: The gang charges through a door and finds Hakha, the spy. Turns out he's
half Helghast. Rico doesn't like it and he tries to kill him but is stopped by
Templar. Luger is unsure of what side Hakha is on but he proves himself by
taking Templar's gun and nailing a Helghast nobody else saw. Meanwhile, at the
SD platforms, General Adams in told that General Vaughton has the security key
and will be up to the platforms very soon. Adams says to have everything ready
for his arrival...sounds suspicious. Back down on Vekta, Hakha grabs a Helghast
assault rifle the whole crew leaves.

Congrats, you've just unlocked Hakha!

::::::
Escape (This is written for Hakha)
::::::

FMV: Vaughton is about to leave to go to the SD platforms. The squad decided to
go to the docks and find a boat in order to escape this area. Rico once again
starts pissing Templar off with his hatred towards Hakha.

Traverse the dunes
------------------

Walk forward and grab the grenade launcher that's next to the dead ISA guy next
to the big rock. A few steps past the rock will trigger a tank and several
Helghast appear to attack you. Rico announces that he will take care of the
tank to return to the rock and hide behind it until you hear the tank explode.
Either that or you can help out with your grenade launcher but that's rather
pointless. When the tank is destroyed, charge around from behind the rock and
kill all the enemy Helghast that came along. It would be a good time to use the
grenade launcher to flush out any enemies hiding behind anything. Once you
think you've killed everyone, even more Helghast will charge from a hill close
to you and start attacking. The one up the the stone will keep hiding behind
the rocks so you may have to move side to side to keep shooting him.

Continue past where the tanks were destroyed and down the large path to the
docks. A little before you reach the orange pipes, Luger tells you that she and
the others will take cover while you scout ahead. Gee, how nice of them. Go up
the ladder of the first orange pipe and go down the little walkway to grab the
sniper rifle. You might want to just go ahead and switch out your knife for it
since it's pretty useless on this level. Crouch down and move foward until you
hear some Helghast talking to each other. Something will fly by so hide behind
the rocks until you hear it start to fight your comrades. Pull out your grenade
launcher and get up from your crouch. A squad of different types of Helghast
will be down below. Use your grenades to quickly get rid of them.

When you get to the end of your little path alongside the main one, your squad
will get up and follow you. Run along the river until you reach a checkpoint.

*****CHECPOINT*****

Keep running along until you reach the summit of a small hill and you see a
very large area with rocks useful for cover in several places. A Helghast
vehicle will start coming in your direction. Templar will then tell you to find
cover so you can ambush the soldiers following the vehicle. When the vehicle
stops, Templar will give the signal to fire. Kill the guy manning the machine
gun first, then kill everyone that's filing out of the thing with a grenade
launcher or normal ammo. After that, kill everyone that's still standing with
the sniper rifle if they're at long range. There are several people with battle
pistols that are going to be shooting at you. Continue down and through this
area once everyone is dead.

Past this place you will encounter two boats attached to the ground near one
of the Helghast vehicles. Templar will say that they move to slow and to not
even bother with them. Continue past this place to the next area. Don't move
too far, however, as there are several enemies that will pop out and a sniper
that will start firing at you from far away. Kill all the Helghast that come up
close to you and nail the sniper far away with your own sniper rifle. There
will also be a guy using a machine gun a good distance away but Rico will
probably take him out. Continue past this area and move along this path.

After a few seconds of walking you will encounter a structure. Go up the wooden
steps and onto the walkway. Continue around this little walkway and you will
end the level.

Part 2

Reach the docks entrance
------------------------

You start off in the structure that you got into at the end of the last level.
Go around the corner and into the next room. Go through the door on the other
side of this room and go over to the ISA guys that will start talking to you.
They will tell you to get ready to fight off the Helghast storming the beach so
Go to a machine gun and get ready to kill. This next part is similar to the
D-Day invasion in World War 2 except that it's in the future and you're the one
shooting at the boats.

Repel the Helghast beach landing
--------------------------------

The first boat should be a piece of cake. Just nail the guys while they're
getting off the boat and while they're coming up the beach. The second wave
will be harder. A tank will acompany the boat here, so nail the solider manning
the machine gun. Once the tank's gunner is down, Helghast will probably up most
of the beach. Shoot the ones you can but a few will probably get into the
trench near you. Just ignore them unless they start shooting you, then you will
have to take care of them. Otherwise, your allies will probably get rid of
them. One that wave is done, get off the MG and move over to your right. Facing
the stairs leading off this platform, there is a missle launcher to your right
you can use to take out the tank.

When the tank is destoryed, a third wave will start charging up the beach. They
will be a fair distance away from you so you may only be able to take out a few
of them before they get to the trench. A few frags will also be shot at you but
probably won't hit when you're on the machine gun. After you finish the
Helghast coming up the ladder, this objective will end. The ISA soldiers tell
you that they will be staying behind and an explosion will clear out the way
to the next building.

Reach the docks entrance (cont'd)
------------------------

Go down the stairs onto the ground and go up the damage wooden stairs. Just go
past the fire and reach a checkpoint

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Move along the platform. The ISA will be up there fighting the Helghast on the
beach. Once all the Helghast are dead, a soldier will tell you how to get to
the docks. So go down the stairs onto the beach and move down until you see a
way to your right. Then go that way. A short distance down you will see rocks
and a few enemies shooting at something that you can't see. Kill all the ones
you can with the sniper rifle and move down to find out what's going on. You
will go over the hill to find a large firefight between ISA and Helghast with
you on the Helghast side.

Defend the docks entrance
-------------------------

This part of the level is pretty hard. The beginning is easy enough. Just kill
all the Helghast along the beach. There will be several facing out to the ocean
against the rock. After you have killed all of them, someone will shout out
that there are too many Helghast. Move away from the ocean and hide behind
something IMMEDIATLY or you will be shot down (I was). I would even use the
rocket launcher if you needed to. Once you finish these guys off, the objective
ends.

Reach the docks entrance (cont'd)
---------------------------------

Make your way through the holes in the barbed wire. A soldier will tell you
that the Helghast have taken control of the docks and it will be tougher to get
to them. Go up a little stone ramp and go to the right for some missle launcher
ammo. There seems to be a bit of a problem here. A lot of people are having
trouble getting by here due to a glitch that doesn't allow you past this area
for some reason. Here is what I did: I went straight to the ISA part of the
attack instead of even going near the beach. I stayed on the opposite side
from the beach and the level ended after I killed the last man. I hope this
works for you.

Part 3

Reach the evacuation point
--------------------------

Run up to the ISA near you to initiate some dialogue. They refer to you as the
"Helghast prisoner" (assuming you're Hakha) and then tell you that they have
already secured this area but other parts of the docks are under the Helghast.
Unfortunally, you will be going through several of these parts. Continue past
this soldier and then to the left of the next one. Get on that MG that's facing
towards the ocean. Two boats will fly at you so nail them with the MG (they can
only take a little bit of damage so it won't be hard). Now go back around the
boxes and move across this area around all the boxes. This part won't have any
enemies so don't worry about it. At the end of this area, go up the ramp and
turn left. Go along this walkway around the bend to find ISA and Helghast
forces engaged in a firefight. Go down the ramp on this side to join up with
your allies.

Find some cover near here and start taking out all the enemies. There is an
opposing MG firing at you from a balcony-type thing way up ahead. It's
accuracy is horrible so it isn't that big of a deal. You may want to take it
out first, just in case. Once these men are dead, Templar will tell you to move
up. Just move up towards the next available cover. Shoot the soldiers behind
the red boxes. This is basically how this entire portion of the level is. You
moving up, taking cover, killing everyone, and moving up again. After the
second move-up, don't get too close to the enemy because they have frags. Keep
a safe distance away but within firing range. After killing these guys, vault
over the rubble.

Continue up the ramp. Notice the way that you usually go is blocked? Instead,
go to the right this time and take cover behind a stack of boxes near you.
4 or 5 Helghast will be coming out the door so throw a grenade if you have one.
Otherwise, just shoot them normally. Once the soldiers are dead, go up that
ramp and go into the door. Exchange your missle launcher (if you still have it)
for the shotgun next to the dead ISA man. Go through the lasers when Templar
tells you to ONLY if you are Hakha. Otherwise, just do what he says instead.

For Hakha only:
Now slowly make your way across this area. In the room up ahead there are
some Helghast waiting to take a shot at you, so use any frags you have and take
care of them. Once these soldiers are dead, aim for the enemies on top of a
structure across this place. They will be preoccupied with your allies so they
should be easy pickin'. Move back to the building and look through the "window"
down. Shoot the guys down there and back out of the building again through the
second doorway. Go through the lasers, down the stairway, and vault over the
thing here. Meet up with your squad here.

For the rest of the team:
This part is a lot simpler. Go through the doorway to the left and shoot the
soldiers on that tall structure. Just make your way around all the boxes
killing everyone as you go along, as usual. This part isn't hard.

Go back up the stairs and into a longish hallway to reach a checkpoint.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Go into the doorway. Continue along this hallway until you reach another
doorway. At this point, you should be in a large, werehouse looking area. Hide
behind the boxes near you. Assist the ISA in their gunfight against the
Helghast (shouldn't be too hard, you have plenty of allies). Now, if you're
like me and your copy of Killzone decides to start glitching like crazy, you'll
see more Helghast coming down invisible stairs coming after you. Just start
fighting when everyone else starts to take them out though you may want to
just restart the level.

After killing the Helghast coming down the stairs, return back the general
direction that you came from and go up the stairs near the door. Move around
the catwalk and grab the grenade launcher from up here (exchanging out
whatever, it doesn't really matter). Go back down the stairs and continue out
to the dock area. Go to the right, up the ramp, and around the corner. On top
of a structure will be more Helghast firing at you from long range. Vault over
the barrier thing and move across this part of the docks. Go to the door on the
other side and turn to your right to find some ammo (ISA rifle ammo, Chain Gun
ammo, and health). Now go back across through a differenct doorway to yet
another checkpoint,

*****CHECKPOINT*****

At this point, I'm pretty sure you're sick of this level (I was, it took me
three goes to get through this part of the strat. guide). Move across this
place killing everyone as you go along. Now go up the stairs once you're
about 2/3rds of the way across. Go through the doorway here and find cover fast
because soldiers will be right behind some boxes and more will be coming from
the other side (to your back coming out of the room). Go to the place that the
Helghast came from and go down the stairs. Just continue up the ramp and around
the corner here. Now go around this place and through the doorway to (finally)
end the level.

FMV: This FMV is probably one of the most meaningful yet. It starts off with
Hakha talking about hacking into the SD platform's mainframe to figure out
what the problem is. However, before Hakha can even get into hacking in, Rico
and Hakha get into a big fight which nearly ends up with Rico shooting Hakha
and Luger shooting Rico. Templar finally breaks it up with the blast of his gun
and tells Hakha he has three minutes to hack into the mainframe. It turns out
that not only the Helghast have control of the platforms, they also turn out to
be General Adam's personal computer. The FMV then shifts to the SD platforms,
where Vaughton has just arrived with the security key. After getting the
platforms up and running properly again, Vaughton finds out that Adams is a
traitor, but he is too late. Adams gives the order to kill Vaughton, and this
order is carried out. Back on Vekta, the squad realizes that the SD platforms
can now be aimed at Vekta. Not a second after these words come out of their
mouths does a massive beam of light come down and hit Vekta.

Part 4

Secure boats to escape from the docks
-------------------------------------

This is finally the level where you have to comandeer some boats. Go up the
ramp and around the corner. At this end of the second ramp, climb up the ladder
and look over to your left. Some Helghast will be way up on a structure, and
several more down on the ground. If they start firing frags you may just want
to back down the ladder again and take them from the ground with the help of
your squad. Once you get back to the ground, find cover away from where the
frags are landing and don't move forward until you know that you've killed
everyone shooting the frags (I think he's one of the ones on the structure
directly across from the ramp). Now move up the stairs there and sprint to
the right. Shoot the guy there firing the MG if you didn't take him out earlier
and move past him. Once everyone on the ground level is dead, move across here
and go up the stairs on the other side but be careful of the soldier hiding
behind the sandbags.

DON'T GO UP TOO FAST. There is an elite there. It literally took about 4
shotgun blasts from my Helghast AR to take this guy down and I only had a
sliver of health remaining. After that, I went up the stairs. Elite popped out
of nowhere and started firing at me from ground level. Now return to the ground
level and go to the place that the Elite came from only on the lower level. Go
up the stairs, up the ramp, and around the corner. As you go down the ramp on
this side, someone will tell you that you need to go through the sewage pipes
to get around the mines. So...

Open the sluice gate
--------------------

Go through the red lasers on the right (ONLY IF YOU ARE HAKHA, otherwise, you
will be killed). Some Helghast will appear on a walkway on the other wise of
the area. You really don't even need to bother using cover, just kill them
normally. However, once you go over the walkway right in front of you, Elite
will show up! My favorite. You may need to use a stronger weapon than the AR,
though the secondary fire works pretty well as long as you get most of the
pellets into them. Go up the stairs and start to move across past the killed
Helghast. However, don't move past the end of the wall on your right. You will
probably be killed if you do.

I wasn't able to kill them from here so I sprinted around the stairs and found
cover down there. Find a way to let as little as you as possible show while
having a bead on the enemy (on one of the stairs I walked a shortway up it
and ducked down. They couldn't get me but I could get them). Now pull the lever
up there to open the sluic gate and end the objective.

Secure boats to escape from the docks (cont'd)
-------------------------------------

Go back to where you squad is (or was). Go through the gate you just opened to
enter the pipe. Just follow the long pipe until you get to an area where it
looks like part of the room collapsed. Near all the yellow shelves will be some
grenades that you will probably need so grab them. Now go through the door on
the other end of this room. Ignore the ladder and go around the corner and the
boxes. Now look up to see Helghast firing right at you. Be careful not to die
because of frags. Turn right up here and go up the stairs. Kill all the
Helghast you see on the other side. The mission will FINALLY END. THANK GOD.

FMV: Everyone decides to get on the boats. While they're on their boats,
Helghast start firing missles at them. The boats collide as everyone is
trying to dodge all the missles.

::::::::::::
Misty Waters (written for Rico)
::::::::::::

Part 1

FMV: The gang is all passed out in the middle of nowhere. A bit of humor is
found here as Templar finds himself in familiar territory (on top of Luger)
*wink wink*. As soon as everyone gets up and begins to get there gear, the
Helghast attack.

Escape from the mangrove swamop
-------------------------------

Immediatly find some cover. Otherwise, your health will drop like a rock. The
fallen tree you start off next to will do great. Some boats will be floating
upstream so take out the soldiers manning the MGs. For some reason, the boats
are easily taken out (at least with Rico's gun) so take care of them with
regular bullets. After taking out the boat in front of you, turn to your left
to find another one firing at you. Take this one out and shoot the guys on the
other side of the water. After killing these guys, wander about (I'm not sure
of the actual direction) until you come face to face with 2 Helghast. Kill them
and move down a bit to find another Helghast for you to kill.

Go through the gateway-type thing and go left at the fork in the path.
By the way, in order to get onto the left path, go along the right part first
and hug the left side until you get through an opening. Kill the soldiers
in the bunkers (it's easier with Rico's rocket launcher) and move up and around
the barbed wire. Past the bunker, you will find more Helghast, along with a
boat docked in the water. The Helghast are spread all over the place. Go ahead
and destroy the boat in the water and kill the guy right near you (he is also
very resistant and he carries a light machine gun you may want). Also kill the
men up on the elevated walkway.

Now go through the walkway across from the way you came. The other way is just
a long stretch of river that leads to a dead-end. Anyways, down the other way,
you will encounter an enemy a short way down. Kill him and move on past the
empty machine gun bunker. Down here, a boat will be coming around the corner
and another machine gunner will start firing. Destory the bullets and blow up
the bunker. Past this, Luger will shout out that there are reinforcments. Just
keep moving normally, killing everyone along the way including the man on top
of the gateway. However, past this will have a small Helghast camp. Find some
cover and take out all the soldiers that are coming around the wooden building
and the man inside the ship. There may also be one inside of the building. Once
all the enemies here are dead, Luger will climb up the ladder and raise the
netting which will allow you to go through the gateway. Past this will be a
short, uneventful walk to the end of the level. No checkpoints this time...

Part 2

FMV: The squad discovers a Helghast firebase. Templar first wants to go around
it so they won't have to deal with more Helghast and be able to get to the SD
platforms quicker. However, Rico and Hakha disagree. Hakha says that they
should be able to improve their nearly 0 odds of survival by creating a stir
here and confusing the enemy. Rico just wants to kick everyone's butt. Since
everyone agrees to attack the firebase, Templar gives the word to do so.

Reach the ISA fortress Infiltrate the firebase & Blow up the missle launching
---------------------- ----------------------- ----------------------------
APCs (multiple objectives)
----

Templae gives the order that Rico and Templar are going to attack the firebase
and that Luger will stay behind and find another way out of the two die. Move
forward a bit and duck down. Shoot the guys waaay over on a platform and kill
the man standing on a bridge. Below the bridge is a stack of boxes with another
soldier hiding behind it. Kill him and shoot the guy coming into that general
area. There is another guy that will be shooting at you. I don't even know
where he is because the graphics here are a bit screwy. Just shoot where the
bullets are coming from into you hear the scream. Move down the side of this
small cliff and behind the building.

Move to right right past the boxes and get behind the wooden barrier. Launch a
grenade into the next to blow it up and the man inside. Move around the right
side of the wooden barrier. Go through the triple barrier that has one of them
down. At the next barrier, Templar will notice a bunker and tell you that the
control stuff is probably in it. Continue down the incline. Find cover behind
some boxes and shoot the guys in front of a bunker across from you. Get into
the bunker and go to the left side (left if you were facing the front door).
There is a button in there that you need to push to lower some more barriers.

Kill all the men coming across where the barrier was. Now go through it while
avoiding the MG. On your way up the incline, the "Infiltrate the firebase"
objective will be completed. Shoot the Helghast at the top of this. Move up
slowly because Helghast will start shooting you as soon as you get to the top
of the incline. Shoot the soldiers on the right and left while avoiding the MG
on the other side of the firebase. Slowly make your way up this area while
killing everyone in it. One last elite will pop out of a MG bunker. Kill him
and go around this area until you find another switch which will open up even
more barriers. In the two structures in front of you, there are Helghast in
each one. Quickly kill one of them as the other one will shoot you from behind.
Kill the other one and the rest of your squad will kindly show up.

Walk towards the missle launching vehicles and ignore the constant calls of
"incoming frag!" from your allies. Walk up to the icons on the back of them
and slap an explosive on it. Now go over to the other one and follow the same
procedure. Shortly after you walk away from them, they will both explode,
ending the "Blow up the missle launching APCs" objective. Just follow the rest
of your squad now. After everyone stops, you will see a ship flying overhead.
Kill the guys remaining on the landing zone once it leaves. Kill all the men
on the walkway surrounding the landing zone, too. Once all the men down there
are killed, Templar will inform you of incoming dropships.

Shoot down the dropships
------------------------

Make your way around the walkway to one of the big guns on the other side.
Don't worry too much about the dropship, as few of it's rounds actually hit
you. Shoot the Helghast along with the dropships or they will shred you to
pieces. To your left are a bunch of Helghast that will be shooting at you from
across the river. They do most of the damage, so their deaths are priority.
The dropships should be last, as they do little damage and few of their rounds
even hit. They go down after awhile.

Reach the ISA fortress
----------------------

Get off the MG and follow your squad down into the river. That will end the
level.

Part 3

Reach the ISA fortress
----------------------

The priority here is to get out of the swamp. Walk forward a bit and blow up
the boat that is crossing the river in front of you. Shoot the Helghast
Regulars and Elites to the right of where the boat was on the dock. There is
one with the grenade launcher here, so be wary of incoming frag grenades.
Continue onto the far side of the docks here and go up the ramp. Make sure
noone is left inside the building here. Move along the green path through the
trees until you see movement and Templar mentions that he hears a fire-fight
between the ISA and the Helghast. Attack the Helghast soldiers from behind
(another grenade launcher toting enemy here). Go past the ISA soldiers and
through the small path behind them.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

This leads to a larger area, along with
more enemies. They are hiding among the rocks, so clear them out and continue
around the cliff. A dropship flies overhead here, ignore it for now.
Continue around the bend away from the cliff to find yet more enemy soldiers.
Moving foward, you will find a larger group of Helghast soldiers. A cooked
grenade right in the middle of them works wonders. Keep moving until the
objective changes.

Repel the Helghast attack on the ISA fortress
---------------------------------------------

Move until you see the massive, towering building under attack by Helghast
forces. Kill all the enemies surrounding the fortress and attacking the ISA
troops. You will hear someone call out that some dropships and incoming, so
look skyward to and search for them. Once you find them, kill the soldiers
coming down the ropes as reinforcments. These guys are tough so make sure to
keep your health up while taking them down. Once a few of these soldiers have
been shot, another dropship comes to send in more troops. Once everybody is
dead, continue to the right corner of the base and enter through the hole in
the wall. Inside here, continue into through the halls and grab the grenade
down the steps.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Go down the second branch here and switch out one of your weapons for the
shotgun. Return to the place that had the grenade. The door opens to find an
ISA guy with a rocket launcher coming through (one my first try through, there
was a glitch and the guy never came through. If that happens to you, you may
just have to restart the level.). Through the door is another dropship. The
soldier with the rocket launcher gets shredded, so grab the rocket launcher
and start firing on that dropship. Eventually, it will leave. A few enemy
soldiers will make their way around the walkway, so shoot them with the
shotgun. In the small structure here and up the ramp will be some more Helghast
that needs some blasting from your shotgun. Farther up the road here is another
group of Helghast. Kill them and enter the building here to finally end the
level.

FMV: The squad walks into the building and an ISA soldier points a gun at them,
calling them traitors. The group tries to explain that Adams is the traitor,
but to no avail. Luger knocks him out from behind and the gang finds out that
Vaughton has been killed. The scene shifts to the S.D. Platforms. General Adams
and Lente are having a conversation. A person comes in there to inform them
that Hakha has been hacked into Adams' personal computer. Adams wonders how
Hakha escaped and was informed that Templar and his squad were the people
behind the spring. Lente finds out that these guys are a force to be reckoned
with, but isn't too worried. Adams announces that he will go down to the
planet to deal with them personally.

:::::::::::::::::::
Hunting the Traitor (written for Templar)
:::::::::::::::::::

Part 1

FMV: Hakha checks out a dead Helghast body and finds a radio thing. Luger
mentions to Rico and Templar about a beacon near them that they need to get
past. Hakha informs them that Adams is heading there. The team agrees that they
need to take him out.

Traverse the Swamp
------------------

Luger tells the team that in order to reach the beacon, they must get through
the swamp. Walk forward into the swamp and watch out for the Sentry Bot above
you who will start firing. Shortly up from there will be two Helghast talking
to each other about pilots crashing too often. They are to the left of you, so
back up and take them out. Go foward and get out of the swamp onto land. Move
around the stones here and walk along this path. Watch out when you reach the
plane thing here as several Helghast will attack you. Go down into the water
and continue along, killing everyone along the way. At the fork, take the right
path but don't go to fast as an ambush will quickly start to attack
you.Afterkilling them, keep going down the swamp. A dropship will fly over
head
but it seems to have little control and is just going all over the place. You
will soon feel something hit the ground nearby. Go over the log to continue.
Cross the little stream and go up the small incline. Take out everyone here.
Keep going forward. A few Helghast will appear from behind a rock. Head over
to the dropship wreckage and get rid of the guys standing next to it. You can
use the wreckage as cover to get rid of the enemies behind the rock. Keep going
down the stone path to end this pretty short part.

Part 2

Reach the GPS beacon
--------------------

Go down the path and up the long incline. Several soldiers on foot and three
troop transports will be up ahead. Watch out for their gunners. Those are the
main guys you'll want to take out. Don't bother going up the land past the
last transport as their is another one blocking the path. You have to go up
the steam alongside the path. Kill the guys near the rock in the stream and
go up the narrow pathway. Kill the Helghast that pop up from around the corner
and go around it. Past that, you'll see a few soldier wading up the stream.
Take them out, but be wary as you go around the corner to the left as there is
someone shooting frags up on the ledge to the right.

After they are dead, keep moving upstream but watch out as there is, once
again, another person shooting frags at you. There are many soldiers here to
kill, so watch yourself. Go around the rock here and keep making your way up
the stream.

*****CHECKPOINT*****

Kill the two guys up ahead in the water. A short distance past them will have
another group of Helghast and a Sentry bot. Up the path from them is yet
another group, this time with a guy with a grenade launcher. You may have to
fall back a few times to regain your health in this area. After killing
everyone, go over to the cloth held up by poles and press the button to lower
the barrier just ahead. Go through it to finish this part.

SECTION 9: BATTLEFIELDS
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

This contains info for the offline version of the battlefields.

:::::
Modes (Sorry but I'm just gonna copy out of the book, it explains it better)
:::::

Deathmatch
----------

Take part in some frantic all-against-all deathmatch action! Each
player respawns at a random point on the map and must strive to score the most
points by gaining the most kills. 1 point is scored for each kill, but for
each suicide 1 point is lost and a death is registered for that player. This
game type is available on all maps.

Team Deathmatch
---------------

An ISA squad is pitched against a Helghast platoon in a team based version of
"Deathmatch". Scores are determined by team performance, although individual
player scores are also maintained for ranking purposes. 1 point is scored for
each opposing team kill and -1 point and death are given for each suicide.
Friendly fire team kills count as a death for the dead character and -1
point for the killer. This game type is available on all maps.

Domination
----------

A team based game where each team must fight to gain control of "switches"
that have been placed around the battlfield. The game ends when the timer
expires, or the points limit or the spawn limit has been reached. 1 point
is scored for each opposing team kill; -1 point and death for each suicide;
team kills count as a death for the dead character and -1 for the killer;
a player capturinga switch will recieve 5 points and 5 points are deducted
if the switch id captured by an opponent. 1 point is earned by the team for
retaining ownership of a switch for 15 seconds. This game type is only
available on Delta Creek, Canyon Crossing, Park Terminal, Orbital Station,
Southern Hills and Beachhead maps.

Supply Drop
-----------

An alternative team based game where each team fights to capture containers
'dropped' at strategic points on the map. When containers have been captured
the team must return them to their base. 1 point is scored for each
opposing team kill; character and -1 point for the killer; the player
capturing and depositing a container on a platform in their base is rewarded
5 points, while 5 points are deducted if the container is then removed by
an opponent. 1 point is earned by the team for retaining ownership of a
container for 15 seconds. This game type is only available on the Delta
Creek, Vektan Slums, Core Shaft, Southern Hills and Beachhead maps.

Assault
-------

A team game where one team must defend a key objective against attack from
the other team. 1 point is scored for each opposing kill; -1 point and death
for each suicide; team kills count as a death for the dead character and -1
point for the killer; any player achieving the objective will recieve 5
points. This game type is only available on the Delta Creek, Canyon Crossing,
Park Terminal, Southern Hills and Beachhead maps.

Defend & Destory
----------------

A team based game similar to 'Assault', but this time both teams must defend
a key objective and at the same time destroy the opposing team's objective.
1 point is scored for each opposing team kill; -1 point for the killer; the
player destroying an enemy-held objective will recieve 5 points. This game
type is only available on the Delta Creek, Vektan Slums, Core Shaft, Southern
Hills and Beachhead maps.

SECTION 10: HINTS, CODES
:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:

:::::
Hints (courtousy of CheatCC)
:::::

Easy kills: When in possession of either the Helghast assault rifle or the
shotgun, conceal yourself near funnel-points for maximum effect.
The shot-spread pattern is enough to inflict mortal damage on dense groups of
opponents. Should the survivors retreat; chase them with a hand grenade. You
can easily knock out entire "clumps" of opponents using only two actions.
Additionally, when in possession of the sniper rifle, you can take snapshots at
"clumps" of enemies. The sniper rifle can eliminate multiple opponents that are
"standing-in-line" with a single shot.
When playing as Luger, aim for an enemy's chest or head and use her secondary
fire. The secondary fire almost always kills an enemy grunt in one shot
(depending on where you shoot them). Also, this fire mode is completely
silenced so that none of the other enemy units will know where you are.
Additionally, if you cannot find a enemy, use her night vision by pressing
Square for an easy shot.

Fast gun switching: While sprinting, release the button. As soon as you do
that, switch your gun. The next gun will automatically appear in your hands.

Quick reload: Press Reload, switch the gun, then immediately switch back to
your original weapon.

Shoot three shells with shotgun: When using the shotgun, it has two modes of
fire (regular shoots one shell, alternate shoots two shells). By pressing
both fire buttons, you will shoot three shells, which in most cases is more
useful. Try using this on groups or stronger enemies.

Sniper pistol: The sniper pistol is the weapon that Luger uses. Because the
sniper rifle has a horrible red glow, use the sniper pistol instead. It has
less power, but on secondary fire it can take out an enemy with a head-shot.

:::::
Codes (courtousy of CheatCC) Note: All button combinations are untested.
