3. INTRODUCTION & OTHER THINGS
===========================================================================
3a. INTRODUCTION
===========================================================================
I consider Jak 3 to be the best game ever. That's why I'm writing my first
walkthrough on it. Please don't blame me horrific, glaring misteakes.
That was a pun.

Anyway, I decided to write a guide. I hope it's okay. I'm pretty new to
writing guides, and this is my first guide. If I have done ANYTHING wrong,
email me about it.
===========================================================================
3b. EMAIL ME
===========================================================================
If you need anything, I made a mistake, or I haven't included it in the
guide, email me about it!

My email is

===========================================================================
DON'T BOTHER SPAMMING ME. I'LL SPAM YOU RIGHT BACK. I'll post yor name on
this FAQ. Fair enough?

7d. USING THIS FAQ
===========================================================================
If you want to use this FAQ on your site, you can email me and ask. However
 if it's a minor site, the chances are I'll say no. If you are a major site
 though, like IGN or Gamespot, I'll probably say yes. At the moment only
SuperCheats can host this guide.

4. BOSSES
===========================================================================
4a. DARK SATELLITE
===========================================================================
Mission: Rescue Wastelanders for Damas
Difficulty: ****/10
Health bars: N/A
Act: I

At the start of the battle the Satellite will be hovering around. At this
point you must get under it quickly, coz it will start spinning a ring of
lasers around itself keep under its shadow as it hovers around. When the
lasers stop, get out from under him and watch him slam into the ground. Now
he'll start spinning a tentacles about. The Beam Reflexor is handy here.
Jump over the tentacles while shooting Reflexor shots at it. Soon it'll hop
back up and begin spinning lasers again Don't worry - he'll drop ammo. On
to Round 2!

Same as before. Get underneath and move with him. When he stops, move out
of the way, but get ready to jump, because this time he sends out a
shockwave and TWO tentacles. Shoot till you drop.

It's pretty much rinse and repeat from now on, each time adding an extra
tentacle and shockwave. Two times more, and he's gone!

The timer shouldn't be a problem, you should have ages to defeat him.
===========================================================================
4b. VEGER'S PRECURSOR ROBOT
===========================================================================
Mission: Defeat Veger's Precursor Robot
Difficulty: ******/10
Health bars: 3
Act: I

The battle will begin with the robot swinging his whopping great light saber
at you, sending out shock waves. Once you jump them, you'll have to jump over
the saber itself. Pass that, and he'll send two big blobby things at you.
Pull out the Scatter Gun and give 'em hell. Beware - they split into two
smaller copies. Once they're gone, he'll bring out five laser cannons and use
 them to melt bits in the floor. These blocks will now rise up to become stone
pillars. Don't forget to wait for them to cool. He starts shooting laser blasts
at you now, so be careful. While dodging them, jump up and get to the second
highest pillar (or the highest, for that matter) ant let loose your Vulcan
Fury on one of the mine carts above you. It will drop on the robot and he
will lose 1 health bar. Watch out, though - he will shoot the pillars to dust
if you take too long!

The second round is pretty much the same as the first. He starts off with the
light saber, and sends out 3 shock waves this time. Now he swings it, 3 times.
Then he sends out - 3 blobby things! Getting bored now, aren't you? It's pretty
much the same - shoot the carts, yadayada.

In Round 3 there is a difference - he's got two light sabers! Here's where it gets
hard. He will now send out 6 shockwaves, each one closely followed by another,
making them a lot harder to dodge. High jump (L1 + X) is best to dodge them.
Oh well. If you manage to survive that, he will now swing both sabers at you
three times, one on top of the other. Use the high jump (L1 + X) again to dodge
them. Now he sends out four little blobs - get 'em with your Scatter Gun. Once
they're down, he'll do the pillar thing. Get up there and get the cart with
your Vulcan.

Enjoy Haven City!

===========================================================================
4c. CYBER - ERROL
===========================================================================
Mission: Defeat Cyber - Errol
Difficulty: *******/10
Health bars: 4
Act: II

Errol will start off launching bombs at you. Don't worry - if you move
around he'll never have the chance to hit you. Just make sure you're not
on the lock-on symbol when it's red. After a bit of dodging, he'll send
out a few at the same time which break the floor tiles, making hazardous
drops in the arena. Keep dodging some more bombs. Now, he'll send KG Death
Bots out of the pipes to attack you. I find two weapons useful here - the
Beam Reflexor and the Arc Wielder. Use the Reflexor for now - the bounce
feature is lethal. If the Bots are down, he'll send out a weird hovering
things, floating bombs. Don't touch it unless you attack it. I prefer
kick. Make sure to keep it UNDERNEATH the platform that Errol is on.
Once you attack it enough, it will go dead and drop to the ground.
Attack it once more to have it launch skyward. If it is under Errol
he will lose a health bar. Yay.

Errol moves along to another platform. Make sure you take note of
which coloured ring he is under, because he sends out more than
one floating bomb at you soon.

Now get ready to dodge and jump just BEFORE the bomb hits the ground,
 as there's a massive shock wave now. Dodge them till he sends out
lots to break the arena. More bombs now, except these don't have a
shock wave. After that, he'll send out more KG Death Bots. A few
 shots of your Reflexor should do the trick. Destroy them and he
sends floating bombs at you. Kick one underneath him to progress
onto Round 3.

The usual, dodge the bomb, dodge the shock wave, etc. When he sends
KG Death Bots at you, he now sends flying ones at you. Get 'em with
your Arc Wielder. Them gone, you can kick floating bombs in peace.

After you dodge the bombs and shock waves, he'll start sending out
new enemies at you: Dark Makers. The flying ones are weak, but hard
to shoot. The walking ones can shield themselves, however you can
break it if you Punch/Kick. Just don't let them throw those balls
of dark eco at you.

Interesting fact: In Jak II Errol was spelt Erol. Huh? What's
with the change?
===========================================================================
4d. ERROL'S DARK MAKER ROBOT
===========================================================================
Mission: Destroy Final Boss
Difficulty: *******/10
Health bars: 4
Act: III

You know, for a final boss this guy isn't all that hard.

Power up with Dark Eco from the vent and move forward.
Kill the little blobs and progress to the little round
pillar. Surprisingly, it is a lift.

Kill more blobs and take the lift.

Kill the big blob. Take the lift. Take it again.

NOW the real battle starts. The aim at the moment is to
destroy the tentacles while holding off those blobs.
Don't get too close or the tentacles will squish you.

If you do that, two vents will appear. If you're low
on heath, heal ON TOP of the Light Eco Vent, losing
no Light Eco!

Wait till the robot turns it's head back and you see
two large purple spheres. Shoot them with the Blaster
to hurt him.

Dodge as he whams his head down. Don't worry, it
looks like you should've lost some health, but you
haven't. That done, proceed as before: destroy the
tentacles, hold off the blobs. Watch out for these
big, black disks - they're lethal. Just shoot them
as fast as possible.

Once you destroy the tentacles, he will do the laser
thing. Dodge the laser and kill the blobs till he turns
his head back. Heal if you need to, then shoot the purple
spheres. Half way.

Avoid the head-whamming. Gee, he must have an awful
headache. Kill the blobs, disks and tentacles till
he does the laser thing. Dodge the lasers. Soon he'll
turn his head back and we can move on to the final phase.

Okay, this phase is one of the hardest bits in the
entire game, so be ready. Dodge his oversize head
and its laser time again.

Destroy the tentacles, blobs and disks while
avoiding his laser. That done, dodge his laser
for a while till he turns his head back. Shoot the
spheres.

Congratulations! You have finished Jak 3.There's still
lots to do, though. Try and get all the Precursor Orbs
or get an new game.

6. JAK'S POWERS
===========================================================================
In Jak 3, Jak has two different alter-egos he can transform onto:
Light Jak  and Dark Jak.

===========================================================================
6a. DARK JAK
===========================================================================
Dark Jak is the offensive alter-ego. He can use massive powers of
destruction, and wreak havoc on a passing enemy.

Melee fighting is also powerful as Dark Jak, as it sends out bolts
of Dark
Eco to zap nearby enemies. Dark Jak also has some powerful abilities.
Here us a list of them, their controls and effects:

Dark Powers
-----------
R1=	Dark Strike
X + []=	Dark Bomb
[] + X= Dark Blast
/\=	Dark Jak Invisibility*

* when next to a Dark Precursor Idol
------------------------------------
You hold release R1 to unleash the Dark Strike. It releases a powerful
ball of energy which is necessary to destroy rubble barring your way,
and is also useful for killing enemies.

Do a dive attack (X + []) to create a Dark Bomb. It basically consists
of a massive shock wave being released in slow motion around Dark Jak.
It is great for taking out large ammounts of enemies, however it will
take up all of your Dark Eco. It may only be used while your Dark Eco
Meter is flashing.

Dark Blast ([] + X) does quite a lot the same as Dark Bomb. Dark Jak
will spin around while unleashing a hail of lightning bolts upon
surrounding foes. It is great for taking out large ammounts of
enemies, however it will take up all of your Dark Eco. It may only
be used while your Dark Eco Meter is flashing.

Dark Jak can turn invisible when exposed to a Dark Precursor Idol.
However, it's not actually that useful. You only ever have to use it
in one mission.

===========================================================================
6b. LIGHT JAK
===========================================================================
Light Jak is the defensive alter-ego - and the most useful. Here is a
summary of Light abilities:

Light Powers
------------
L2 +
X=	Light Flight
O=	Light Shield
[]=	Flash Freeze
/\=	Light Regeneration

Hold L2 and press one of the four function buttons (/\, [], O, X) to
activate these light abilities.
-------------------------------
Light Flight activates a useful pair of angelic wings needed to perform
some platforming tasks. Also good for retrieving some Precursor Orbs.
There's not much else to say.

Being able to shield yourself is nifty, but... not altogether useful.
If you are pinned down by a continuous stream of fire from an enemy,
as soon as you unshield you're bound to be hurt anyway.

Flash Freeze - the ability to slow down time. Lots. An incredibly
useful skill. Use it in a timed mission and you'll see.

The final, most useful ability: Light Regeneration: the ability to
heal Jak. VERY useful, especially when you need just that little
bit of health to beat Cyber-Errol.

XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
7. THE MORPH GUN
===========================================================================
The Morph Gun is a useful weapon that is extremely useful and, for some
things, needed. It has the classic four guns from Jak II, with two upgrades
for each, making a worthy 12 guns. The four classes are Red (shotgun),
Yellow (rifle), Blue (gatling), and Dark (your extra powerful heavy
duty megaweapon).
