I'm writting this faq because When i was playing with
Zhao Yun, I got this game a few days ago and i enjoy 
playing it. You would too. When i heard the jap version
was being released I was so excited because I played Dynasty
Warrior one two and three. I picked this person because he 
looked cool and he was quick and fast. I like quick people 
becase they can kill faster. I think he is the best player
in Dynasty Warrior when you get him to a higher level. This
is my first ever faq so i might have a few grammer errors
and spelling mistakes but please email them too me and i 
will fix them. So don't go too harsh on me >_<.

3. Brief Background on Zhao Yun.

Zhao Yun was styled Zilong and a man from Zhending in Changshan. He originally was a subordinate of Gongsun Zan. Gongsun Zan sent the Former Lord with Tian Ti to oppose Yuan Shao and Zhao Yun accompanied them as commander of the cavalry. At the time that the Former Lord was pursued by Duke Cao at Changban, Dangyang, he abandoned his wives and fled south. Zhao Yun cradled the Former Lord�s frail son�the future Latter Lord�and protected the Lady Gan�the mother of the Latter Lord�shielding them from danger. Hence he was promoted to the position of General of the Standard. When the Former Lord entered Shu, Zhao Yun remained in Jingzhou.

At Jiameng, the Former Lord returned from battle, attacked Liu Zhang and summoned Zhuge Liang. Zhuge Liang led Zhao Yun, Zhang Fei and others upstream, securing the various prefectures they passed. At Jiangzhou, he sent Zhao Yun to Jiangyang via the Wai River, to rendezvous at Chengdu. After Chengdu was secured, Zhao Yun was made General of the Flying Army. In the year of Jianxing [223] Zhao Yun was assigned as Central Protector of the Army, General who Subdues the South and enfeoffed as Marquis of Yongchangting, and later promoted to become General who Maintains Peace in the East. In the fifth year [227], Zhuge Liang garrisoned Hanzhong. The next year, Zhuge Liang went on campaign, declaring that he would advance through Xie Gorge, and Cao Zhen led his great army in opposition. Zhuge Liang ordered Zhao Yun and Deng Zhi to counter Cao Zhen, whilst he himself marched to besiege Mount Qi. The troop strength of Zhao Yun and Deng Zhi were inadequate to that of the enemy. Hence they were defeated at Ji Gorge, but their centre held firm and thus avoided a great defeat. After the army retreated, Zhao Yun was demoted to the position of General who Maintains the Army in Order.

Earlier, during the reign of the Former Lord, only Fa Zheng received posthumous appellation. During the reign of the Latter Lord, for Zhuge Liang�s merits and virtues; for Jiang Wan and Fei Wei�s services to the state, these men received posthumous appellations. Chen Zhi received the grace and favour of the throne; Xiahou Ba came to submit from afar. Hence these men also received posthumous appellations. At the time, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Ma Chao, Huang Zhong and Zhao Yun also received posthumous appellations. Their contemporaries thought it most prestigious. Zhao Yun�s noble title was inherited by his son Zhao Tong, who reached the position of General of the Gentlemen of the Household as Rapid as Tigers, with power of superintendence over the army. His second son Zhao Guang was General of the Standard, accompanied Jiang Wei at Tazhong and died on the battlefield.

Appraisal: It was said that Guan Yu and Zhang Fei were the match of ten thousand men and tiger generals of their times. Guan Yu repaid Duke Cao and Zhang Fei treated Yan Yan with rectitude; both had the airs of statesmen. However, Guan Yu was headstrong and Zhang Fei crude and heartless. It is the standard moral that they fell due to these weaknesses. Ma Chao relied on the Rong and was conceited in his valiance. For this his entire clan was exterminated, what a ignominy! But to gain peace in such a predicament, is this not some recompense? Huang Zhong and Zhao Yun were firm, courageous and both were of immense service. They were probably the like of Guan Ying and the Lord of Teng [Xiahou Ying].

Zhao Yun is another all around fighter with above avearge stats just 
about everywhere. Also because he is a cool and fast fighter. He has great range in his attacks, good speed, power and defence. If you maxed out Zhao Yun, with his 4th, should have little trouble even in Shura mode, so dont worry, keep calm.

Zhao Yun is one of the 6 starting characters for Shu. So you dont need to unlock him , thats great because you can use a great player right from the start. So no need to worry about unlocking Zhao Yun.

2-SS- A straight stab
3-SSS- Zhao Yun spin around in a cricle, hitting any enemy around him
4-SSSS- a Straight downward slash
5-SSSSS- Zhao Yun spin around another in a cricle, hitting any enemy 
around him
6-SSSSSS- A slash to the left
Alternate 6SSSSSS- A downward slash to the right (repeat of his S)
7-SSSSSSS- A straight stab (repeat of his SS

T- Zhao Yun charges forward stbbibg any enemy in his path
ST- Zhao Yun uses the back of his weapon to knock the enemy into the air
SST(T)- Zhao Yun does a series of 6 straight slashes, going down to up.
Then finshes with a spinning slash to the left.
SSST- Zhao Yun spins in a cricle and then slashes to the right.  
SSSST- Zhao Yun smashes his spear into the ground causing an explosion 
that knockes enemies into the air.
SSSSST- Zhao Yun leaps into the air, and does a slash to the right

Jump Attack- A downward slash
Jump Charge- Zhao Yun does a straight downward slash, that knockes
the enemy into the air. he finshes by slashing the enemy 7 or 8
times while there in the air. Then they should be dead!

Mounted Attack- Zhao Yun does a series of 6 downward slashes going
right to left.
Mounted Charge- Zhao Yun does a series of 2 downward slashes going
right to left.
Mounted Musou- Zhao Yun does a series of downward slashes going

Musou attack- Zhao Yun starts spinning around doing repeated upward
slashes to the left.  He finshes with a spinning slash to the left.

True Musou Attack- Much the same as his musou attack, only at the end
Zhao Yun leaps into the air with a wave of energy around him that hits
any enemy nearby. It looks amazing!

It should be noted that from Alternate S6-S9 you need to have a
weapon at least level 3 that's Evo-capable (a little blue
dot near the weapons name) As well as a full musou bar to use.
All 4th level weapons.

Requirements for Obtaining Zhao Yun's 4th
Stage- Battle of Cheng Du 
Requirement- completely take the south fort

Strategy- This weapon is a pieace of cake.  Zhao Yun starts right next
to the fort.  First thing you need to do it take a the guard captian
guarding the front door.  Inside there will be one enemy general with
3 sub generals, take out all 4. (Make sure you get the three subs first)
Now kill the two other guard captians guarding the north and west doors
and the gate captian and your done, and your on the way the way to winning!

The Precious Item report should show up in the fort, right next to you.
Get it and finshes the stage.

Snice this is just a 1 star stage, you wont have to even have Zhao Yun worked
up well.  A horse is nice, but not needed. Also, make sure your playing on hard 
mode, and you will be set. :]

Zhao Yun has 5 stages in his Musou mode, The 5 stages are

These are easy and i think you wont need a walkthrough on these stages just look arount and if you see two creates beside each other or if you see two vase beside togeter, it will be right of 95% of the time.

Model 1- this model comes with Zhao Yun. Zhao Yun wears a lot of white
in this model. He wears white armor, with a little blue detail, a White 
waist wrap with some gold detail, and white pants. Zhao Yun, also has
a very light purple cloth hanging from his waist wrap in the back. He
wears white and black shoes, with a little gold detail. He also wears a
green head band. He has long hiar and wears it in a pony tail. He looks 
the same, because this is the same coustume from before when you started 
the game.

Model 2- Zhao Yun unlocks this model when he get's about 6000 points.
This model is just a re colored version of his model one.
