How to build the workbench

It depends. If you're on the first island, you should look for two large rocks sitting next to each other. You'll find them on the First Beach and Shipwreck Cove. When you walk up to it, it will give you the prompt to build a bech.

When you're on the next islands, you should have (hopefully) built up enough skills and supplies to MAKE you own bench. Just got to the plans section and go under tools and the bamboo bench should be there .

What can you suggest if the bench is not automatically there on the second island? I have MORE than 150 bamboo and over 100 vines, and I still don't have the bench. I have looked ALL over the internet and no one can seem to help me. I am SOOOO stuck. I don't know what else to do. I have two sets of castaways now (since I started a second set to see if I could do anything different) and now I am stuck with two sets at the same point of the game ... With no workbench. Argh! Someone PLEASE help me! Thanks a bunch!!

Then you may not have enough mechanical or logic points to have the bench available to you.

Go back to the first island to where a bench is available (Shipwreck Cove or the Frist Beach) and build a few tools or make some clothes to raise your points. I think making shelter raises your mechanical points also.

Once you have enough mech or logic points, the build your bench option should be available.
