After Anubis tells you to get the Sacred Crown of Abydos, and after you see the Mayor in his chamber, you have to go see Kemmet the Inventor who lives in Abydos Canal. He tells you that he doesn't have a Medecine Bag but gives you a Canopic Vase instead. You play a mummy level, and at the end of the level you get the bag. If it doesn't show up in your inventory, it might be because of a glitch I've heard about. I'm sorry, but if that's what happened to you, the only way past it that I know of is to restart the game.
