Question for Ratchet & Clank

Hi, i've just started playing Ratched and Clank...the original one. Have gotton up to Blarg station where you play as Clank and have to go through the whole bit. I've spotted where the gold bolt is but can't reach it. I saw someone on here asked the same question and was told you need to get the O2 mask and then go through it as Ratched. Where exactly do you find the O2 mask tho?? And then how do you choose to play as Ratched instead of Clank??

Your help with this is greatly appreciated.
