Question for Prince of Persia: Warrior Within

Ok,

In the mechanical tower in the level "gears and clockworks" i'm stuck. Right before you run through the water mill things a video shows and you see that black creature and the prince says "what do you want from me?!" after that, I got through the water mills beat those guys and got to where you have to defeat the smaller brute. I beat him and then I don't know where to go. If I go straight there is a long hall with spikes and I can't see how to get around them. But, if I go right, then you have to dodge those things pushing the water. I got to a door and I can see people behind it, but I don't know how to open it.

Any help would be great,

Perhaps I could be of assistance?

This is really simple, as you defeat the brute come to the broken wall, run along kill the spike beast and jump onto the clockwork water thing. Half way you come to a path to which you must follow, there is a lever right above you head, run up the wall (like you do) and catch it, this will open the door.
