Where Are the Bog Berries??????

Go out the pathway on the opposite side of town where you came in – it'll lead to the swamp. You can step in light green water, but not dark green. Look at the map – there are basically two areas of the swamp that go "up" on the map, and three that go "down" plus one area that sort of goes down and to the right with a serpent drawing on the map. The white berries are at the end of the middle "down" area. The red berries are at the end of the right "up" area. To get the black berries, you have to kill the swamp monster.
It's easiest to use Roberta for this boss – use nova motes. Jump along the wooden planks floating in the water to get to the swamp monster. Jump on a cement ledge thing, jump to one of the taller cement ledges and the face the swamp monster (he can come at you from either side). Put your wand away (he won't strike at you if you have your wand out, he'll poison or freeze you instead –and sometimes he'll freeze you anyway). When you see him raise up/draw back a little, you know he's about to strike, so hit the L1 button to shield yourself. After he hits your shield, he'll lie down on the ground and be stunned for a second. You can zap him then if Roberta's standing near the edge of the cement ledge (if she's standing too far back on the ledge, her zaps won't hit him). Put your wand away again and wait for him to strike again (if you don't see him pop up out of the swamp again after a second, turn around – he's probably behind you and ready to strike). If he poisons you even though you had your wand put away, try jumping to a different ledge – you might not be on the tallest one (the poison doesn't do much damage – just ignore it). If he freezes you, you'll take a hit – put your wand back away and wait some more. If he freezes you several times in a row, try jumping to a different ledge – you might not be on the tallest one. Eventually he'll crush all but one ledge – now it's harder to stun him. You have to be standing in just the right spot on the ledge, otherwise when he strikes at you, he'll miss. Just try moving left/right/forwards/back if that happens. Once he dies, the black bogberries are in the middle – you have to jump from the nearby rock to get there. Then you have to carefully walk on the back of the dead serpent until you reach a place where you can make a jump to one of the floating wooden planks. Take the bogberries back to the apothecary.
