Everytime I do this race, my car is mad slow I have to stay around the speed of 34 mph or my engine will blow out. The real question is how do i get infront of the pack and have good speed?

you have to change gears. drag race is about precise gear shifting. go to options, and then controls. there you see lots of controls, then look for gear up and gear down controls. put any control you like. then when you go to drag race, shift gear up when the rpm gauge turns blue or green. red is over rev.
