How do you stay small when playing as jet jaguar? With me it only lasts a second or two. Please help

When big, Jet Jaguar drains energy - he will automatically switch to normal size when his energy is exhausted.
When small, Jet Jaguar regenerates energy quickly, and transforms back to full size when his energy is full. Changing size costs a bit of energy - so you are probably transforming with full energy, and almost immediately topping off again.
Small JJ is best suited to fighting quick and/or ranged-focused enemies. Big JJ is best for fighting grapplers. Regular size is best for fighting melee-focused foes like Gigan. If you want to use small JJ, you'll need to use your beam attack to drain some energy - or change size to big and then go small (paying the transformation cost twice in the process.)
