On the mission 'The Tenements' I can't find a way to break through the walls in the greasers abandoned building.... How do I break through the walls???

Go to the top of the building and fight the guy with the sledge hammer, when you've beaten him you can take it. Go back down and use it then, when you get to the back to the window you came in you have to drop it, you can't take it outside :(
You have to beat up the greaser with the hammer and when he is finished he drops the hammer which you use to smash the walls down
You have to knock out the guy with the big hammer,and when he galls to the ground,then you take the hammer by pressing triangle,then you can smash through walls and get the things you need.
I find it easier to do it this way. First, of all to those others that answered, his name is NORTON. Now, the first thing you have to do is beat-up all the greasers as you make your way up to the top floor. NORTON should be there somewhere. Next, fight NORTON with your slingshot. I know they show the cut scene with him busting the walls, but it's easier this way. Any way, NORTON is very slow so just use all your weapons: eggs, firecrackers, stinkbombs, itching powder, the whole kit and kaboodle. Then use your slingshot. After you defeated him, go break the walls and get the stuff.
You have to go up and fight Norton (greaser with hammer) and when you knock him out you take the hammer (it's best to run to the opposite side of the room of Norton and use your slingshot then run to the other side when he goes after you to knock him out.) and go back downstairs to break down the walls.
You must get the other things and to beat the greaser with the hammer.
