General Review

Overall this game is as good as many other reviews say it is, but as all games will have there are the flaws.

I will first look at the good things about this game. Sound wise it is very good and the game producers have also managed to have a unique sound for each manufacturer's car so good job from them.

The graphics. Popularly criticised subject, but the graphics in this game are so good, you can actually see the tarmac like you would in real life and the shine and shadows work really well.

Playing the game is very good fun for a number of reasons. The AI of your opponent drivers have been made harder so making it a bit more challenging for you and as a result more fun rather than you driving rings around them. Another good thing to point out is the way various things affect your car's handling in the game. The producers' must have done a lot of work on this because if you go over large bumps your car will fly! and in the rain you will have to be careful with your brake and steering inputs because you will lock up so easily (ABS off) and spin out (Stability control off).

However, these things have cons.

Take the sound for instance. If you are say Mclaren Mercedes and are racing in Quick Race or GP Weekend for instance. Then when you select Replay from the pause menu every other car will sound like a Mclaren Mercedes car.

The graphics are missing small detail. Where is the sun? Not much left to say with that in mind if you don't have a sun that is shining on the race track and the car.

Oh dear. One of the worst has to come. For some strange reason no matter how you set up your car, your car will just spin out if you take certain corners a certain way. (So far only a few have arisen). Take the first corner of the Suzuka circuit for instance. Try and take that smoothly and the rear end is away.

All in all it's still a good game to play.
