During the game you can press start to pause. Now press and hold L1 while you enter:

DOWN, UP, LEFT, LEFT, CIRCLE, LEFT, UP, TRIANGLE, TRIANGLE, UP, RIGHT, SQUARE, SQUARE, UP, X. Once this code is entered properly your pause screen will shake.

Private Carrera will become available to you.
