How to Change Class

In Phantoms: Tang Dynasty you can switch between the different classes at any time during the game. To be able to change the current class you must be in the hero form. If you are in spirit form you can easily switch to switch to the hero form by tapping the hero avatar in the top-left corner of the screen to open the hero's 'Profile' screen. When you tap the 'Stats' tab on the right side and then the reload icon next to the class label you will be able to pick the class you want to play; Swordmaster, Ritualist, Wind Dancer, or Gladiator. After you have made your selection tap the 'Switch Now' button to be taken to an NPC where you can choose to change the class. If you now return to the 'Profile' screen and navigate to the 'Skill' tab you will be able to see what abilities and artifacts are offered by the class you have chosen and select the ability class set you want to use in battle.

How to Upgrade Class Abilities

The basic attack your hero deals during battles will not inflict much damage compared to that dealt by their class abilities. This means it is important that you upgrade your hero's class abilities by collecting the appropriate Skill Tome Books which can be obtained from the market, through quests, events, and as a random reward. Once you have the requirement you can instantly apply the skill/ability upgrade by going to go to the 'Bag' menu and tapping on the Skill Tome.

How to Use Summon Talisman

You can use Summon Talisman to summon Spirits by tapping the 'Summon' tab on the right side of the Lobby. This will give you the possibility of getting R, SR, SSR Spirits or Charm Cards from the draw. All the spirits have unique active skills, passive skills, stats, and appearance.

How to Transform into the Spirits

Once you have obtained a Spirit your hero can transform into it and use the spirit's skills. This is done by tapping the 'Transform' button on the right side of the Lobby and selecting the Spirit that want to set as a companion. To complete the process you have to then tap the hero/spirit avatar on the top-left of the screen below the level bar.

How to Use Spirits in Battle

You need to select the Spirits you want to use before you enter the battle. This is done by tapping the 'Menu' button and navigating to the 'Spirits' menu and selecting the 'Formation' tab which has two parts; Deploy Spirit and Candidate Spirit. In the Deploy Spirit slots you add the spirits whose skills you want to use in the battle and in the Candidate Slots you add the spirits that increase the Spirit Sage ATK, HP.

Take Advantage of Spirit Elements

All the spirits in Phantoms: Tang Dynasty belong to one of the following elements:

• Moon

• Star

• Fire

• Sun

• Metal

• Woo

Take advantage of your spirits elememnt whenever possible to deal more damage to weak element spirits. You can check to see the strengths and weaknesses of each of the elements on the 'Enemy' selection screen at the bottom-left of the screen by tapping the 'Counters' button to check the counter chart.

How to Upgrade Spirits

Spirits are leveled up using the Spirt EXP Pages you acquire from the event battles. To level up a Spirit go to the 'Spirit' menu and choose the spirit that you want to level up. Then tap the 'Level Up' button and select the Spirit EXP Pages that you want to use to grant EXP to the Spirit and spend the required amount of Aether Essence.

How to Upgrade Spirit Skills

Element materials which are obtained from events are used to upgrade Spirit skills. To perform the upgrade go to the 'Skill' tab in the spirit profile amd select 'Advance' (to be able to advance a spirit you will need a duplicate spirit card). Tap the 'Upgrade' button that is beside the passive skill and spend the required element materials.

How to Level Up Quickly

When you raise the level of your hero in Phantoms: Tang Dynasty you increase their ATK and HP stats which will improve how they are able to perform in battle. Leveling up your hero will also unlock new functions in the market and guild. The quickest way to level up your hero is to follow and complete the chapters in the main quest as doing so gives a huge amount of Hero XP. Another way to raise the level of your hero quickly is to grind the events which give EXP, Aether Essence, and Spirit EXP Page as rewards. Events can be accessed by tapping the 'Menu' button.
