WWE 2K24 Cheats and Tips

Here are our best cheats and tips for this game.

Check out the Performance Center

There has been a lot of WWE game series throughout the years, which means that a lot of gameplay elements have been added over time for this wrestling game. With WWE 2K24, there are new things that you can do using the different wrestlers available, as well as some returning mechanics. In order for you to refresh yourself in learning how to play the game, or if you're a beginner, then check out the Performance Center.

Here, you'll be able to learn the fundamentals of WWE 2K24 by going through different lessons that you can participate in. Completing all of the lessons will grant you some bonus MyFACTION reward as well. In this mode, you can learn things such as how to play offense such as doing your basic attacks and combos. You can learn about defense as well with reversals and blocks. You can learn a lot of things here as well such as how to unleash signature moves.

Unlock the different characters

There are a lot of great wrestlers that you can play with from the start in WWE 2K24. A fun part of the game as well is for you to try out different wrestling styles that are available, which means you'll want as many characters as possible. There are different modes available in the game such as Showcase and MyFaction, so going through these will help you get more characters.

If you already started by playing through the tutorial at the Performance Center, your first unlock will be Sheamus '09 upon completing all lessons. You can also unlock a lot of the characters by playing through the game's showcase mode. There are some wrestlers available as well in MyFaction by completing certain item sets. When starting out however, focusing on showcase mode can help you unlock the majority of the available ones in the game.

Practice different wrestlers to find a play style that suits you

A lot of different wrestlers would mean that there's a lot of moves that they specialize in. They also have their signature moves which make them distinct from other wrestlers, right? You can try and play your favorite wrestler, but it would also be good for you to try out others as well to learn about their play styles.

You might be someone who likes quicker moves or perhaps flashy ones that look nice, or perhaps you like hard hitting moves as well. By trying out the different wrestlers available, you can choose which one is suitable for you to focus on which can help improve your gameplay. Practicing on a specific wrestler will help you learn and memorize their movesets, and eventually you'll know when to use specific moves in a match.

Practice dodging different attacks

Attacks are useful of course when having matches. However, you should not keep your focus on offense only since this can leave you open against your opponents who can land hits back toward you. You must remember that in wrestling, you can exchange blows in order to deal damage, but you can also be evasive with dodging.

By practicing your timing in order to dodge properly, you can negate your opponent's attacks and hit them back. Dodging on time will also help you in matches because you can evade grabs that can be quite a nuisance. Make sure to mix your game plan with combos, dodges, and movement in order to keep your opponent guessing. This is especially true if you plan to play online matches.

Try things offline in easy mode

It might be tempting to try out online matches as soon as possible, but then you find out that you can easily get defeated by others who have more experience. Perhaps you'll want to consider trying out the different modes offline first and put it on easy in the difficulty settings. If you're a beginner, this can help you focus on learning your wrestler's moveset as well as controls. You can play through Showcase mode and try out different combos that you can.

Once things get easier for you, you can then try to increase the difficulty settings to suit your current level. Soon enough, you'll get the hang of matches, and then you can start playing versus other players online in order to learn and improve further. Playing on easy during offline will also give you an opportunity to find a wrestler that truly matches how your playing style is like.

Make sure to do reversals

If you're new to playing WWE 2K24, things might look dire if your opponent is able to keep on dealing damage against you. You might end up watching your wrestler's hit points go down a lot. Perhaps you try to dodge attacks, but there are still moves that can hit you and deal a lot of damage. With that in mind, you have to incorporate doing reversals as part of your gameplay.

Whenever your opponent is always on the offense, you must remember that getting hit on your side will also mean that you can do reversals to fight back. By pressing the corresponding buttons (X and Y on Xbox, Square and Triangle on Playstation), you should be able to reverse specific hits. If the reverse prompt does not appear immediately, it means it might appear later. Keep on practicing so you can get your reversal timing just right. Remember, you need to mix offensive and defensive moves in your game plan.

.

Adjust other settings if counter and pins are difficult

Things can get overwhelming if you're starting out in WWE 2K24 since you need to input a lot of things. There can be cases where even AI opponents are able to reverse a lot of your moves, or you have a hard time keeping opponents pinned down. By checking the game's settings, you can adjust the sliders to help you have an easier time.

You can reduce your opponent's reversal rate if needed. Also, you can even change the pinning mini-game so you can just keep on pressing buttons. You can even turn it to auto so you will only press a button in order for you to keep on kicking. With these easier settings, you can play through showcase mode and focus on learning your moves and combos. You can then revert these settings later on to make things more challenging.

Learn how to trade blows

New mechanics have been added to the WWE games over the years which adds more depth to its gameplay. Continuing this tradition, a new mechanic has been added for WWE 2K24 for your wrestling move choices. Trading blows is a mechanic where you exchange hits with your opponent until someone misses or until stamina has been depleted.

Trading blows can be done by holding down X (Xbox) or Square (Playstation) so you can fill up a circle so you can reach an area that's highlighted. Once you've reached that area, you will let go of the button and then wait for your opponent's turn to do theirs. You'll keep on exchanging blows with increasing difficulty. There can be times as well where a gold area will appear, this will let you win instantly in trading blows if you are successful in reaching it.

Check out more wrestlers with Community Creations

An ongoing feature that's enjoyed by a lot of players are different wrestlers that you can try out which are created by the community. The game has a lot of wrestlers that are offered through its original roster, but there can be cases as well where some wrestlers don't make it officially. However, thanks to community creations, you can try out more wrestlers with movements that look similar to the ones in real life.

You can check out popular created characters or perhaps you can pick out any that suits your fancy. By testing out their movesets, you can get a grasp of their play style. You can even try to create your own wrestler for other people to try out themselves.

Try changing your Superstar's stats

With a lot of wrestlers that you can choose from, they can come with different kinds of ratings available. Some ratings may be obvious in terms of a wrestler's stats in their recent real life performances, but there can be cases where you'll have a wrestler who's your favorite, but their rating isn't that good. Thankfully, WWE 2K24 provides you with a lot of customization options.

You have the power to change your wrestler's rating through different ways. You can modify attributes as well as their behavior during a game. If you want to start changing ratings of your wrestlers, you can open the options menu, then head to the roster section and then edit superstars. You can then modify the attributes of wrestlers to your liking. If you want to have a wrestler that can do well with a comeback, you can focus on defense and recovery for example.

Earn VC through MyRISE

There's a lot of modes to choose and a lot of wrestlers to unlock as you play through WWE 2K24. More often than not, you might run out of VC (virtual currency) when trying to unlock different wrestlers so you'll want to continue and save up. If your focus is to collect a lot of VC, then it would be best for you to focus on MyRISE and complete the different tasks.

There are two paths you can go through when playing MyRISE which are "Undisputed" and "Unleashed" which lets you play through the story of a male and female wrestler respectively. If you want to get all of the rewards from MyRISE then you'll have to play through both. Take note that some characters can be unlocked as rewards as well, but having VC on hand will be helpful for the rest of your unlocks.

.

Experiment with different Hit Point ratios

In regular games that have fighting involved, you usually have one bar of HP to work with that you need to deplete to zero in order to win. However, things are different with the WWE Games since your Hit Points are allocated to different body parts of a wrestler. With a lot of moves at your disposal, different areas are targeted for damage such as the head, body, arms, and legs.

If you're playing with a specific wrestler, and you notice that they get damaged often in a specific part of their body, you might want to adjust and add more hit points there so they can have more durability. Take note though that you only have 4,000 points distributed to all parts. If you focus on one area, the others will become weaker.

Try out MyGM mode

One of the returning features in WWE 2K24 are GMs which you can find in the 'yGM' mode of the game. Much like in real life wrestling, different wrestlers have managers which help them in their career path. This bit of realism is introduced in the WWE games and it's much improved compared to its previous entries.

When playing this mode, you try to live out your life as a General Manager where you can organize matches, help out your wrestlers in their career, and make money while doing it. A lot of planning is involved on your road as a GM, and it's an enjoyable experience to see how things turn out. As you play through this mode, you get to see how different wrestlers work against others as you book matches. Try out different combinations to your liking. Your GM can also be added to the Hall of Fame once you have acquired 10 trophies from completing your career achievements as well as seasonal challenges.

Challenge yourself with Legend difficulty

Once you get the hang of playing the different modes offline, you might want to challenge yourself further in order to improve your combs, reactions, and overall skills. You can head to settings and start ramping things up by choosing the Legend difficulty. As you slowly improve, you can adjust different sliders as well to make things harder if needed.

For example, you can adjust the settings of your enemy and max out their counters and reversals. You can drop the window around 15 to 20 and once you get the hang of that, you can even lower it more. By adjusting these settings, you can have longer matches against wrestlers that are rated above 90. You can even tweak things such as HP regen rate as well as the cooldown. If your opponent stays at full HP longer, then the match will become challenging and longer until your opponent loses stamina.
