THE KING BLACK DRAGON, COMBAT LEVEL 276.

INTRODUCTION
----------------------
This is my guide on how to take on the King Black Dragon, either solo or with a team. Be warned, this enemy is still dangerous, no matter how prepared you and your team mates are. Note that any 
dragon in RuneScape is impossible to kill without an antidragon shield or antifire potion.

THE KING BLACK DRAGON
----------------------------------------
APPEARANCE: The king black dragon (KBD in short), is a large and incredibly dangerous dragon located in level 41 of the wilderness, in the king black dragon's lair, west of the lava maze. The 
dragon has 3 heads, is very large with black scales and is a much larger version of normal black dragons (level 227). 
COMBAT LEVEL: 276
NUMBER OF HITPOINTS: 240
PERSONALITY: Highly agressive. It will attack anyone that enters its domain, regardless of the opposition's combat level.
THREAT LEVEL: Very high
ATTACKS: Melee, Magic
The king black dragon will attack with melee if you get close, and if you attack it from a distance, it will use magic. Magic attack consists of ice breath that will freeze you, fire breath and sometimes 
poison breath. It is wise to bring antipoison potions due to the poison spiders around the KBD teleport lever and the king black dragon's poison breath.
WEAKNESS: Crush and ranged/stabbing attacks.

LOCATION
-----------------------------------------
The king black dragon is located in the lava maze west dungeon, past the poison spiders and lesser demons. You must enter the hole with the ladder, then pull the lever which will teleport you into 
the KBD's lair. If you are unsure of how to get to the lava maze, enter the wilderness through Edgeville, head north past the hobgoblin mine and continue up to an area with green dragons (level 79).
Be warned, if you are unprepared you may be attacked by pkers attempting to kill the dragon killers or the dragons themselves. Although only combat level 79, they can still be a nuisance and attr-
act pkers trying to kill the dragon killers. (pkers = player killers in short). [My apologies if you knew that already].

COMBAT LEVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Solo: At least level 100+
Team: Level 70+ (At least 3 members)
RANGED: Level 60+
Magic: Ancients, or level 60+

[Melee]:
Dragon longsword/Scimitar/Battleaxe/Dragon dagger(p)++/Abyssal whip (combined with antidragon shield / antifire pots (or both)
Full rune (Full helm, platebody and platelegs
Adamant boots (or lower to avoid using expensive ones)
(MUST BRING EITHER ANTIDRAGON SHIELD OR ANTIFIRE POTIONS. Using a combination of the two provides complete protection from close fire attacks only)
(Optional: Best dragonhide you can wear - provides better protection against magic attacks).
Food - lobsters or better
Prayer potions (If you plan to stay for long, make sure you bring how ever many you think you will need for the duration of your trip.
(Optional : Runes to teleport to a location of your choice - for quick getaway/teleporting away from the lair when you are done.

STRATEGY
---------------
(Team only):
Drink your potions before you enter the king black dragon's lair.
As soon as you teleport into the lair, have your teammates spread out and surround the king black dragon at different points. Surrounding the king black dragon causes his attacks to be slowed 
down, therefore reducing damage done to individuals in your team. Turn on all relevant prayers (distance attack = protect from magic, close attack = protect from melee.) Make sure everyone 
equips their antidragon shield. If something goes wrong, notify your teammates of the teleport lever on the southern wall/teleport if necessary. Repeat this process for each kill. Remember, 
surround the KBD at different points (spread out), as soon as he spawns. His respawn location is at the center of the lair. Respawn time is approx. 2 mins. Have fun.

Here are some of the rewards that you could have if you are lucky. (Don't forget, bring a ring of wealth for more likely better drops. Don't get frustrated about bad drops. Remember, it's just a game.)
