Temtem is a creature collecting MMO where you take the role of a novice Temtem tamer who starts their journey around the six floating islands of the Airborne Archipelago while facing the threat of Clan Belsoto, an evil organization that plans to take over the islands by force. The objective of the game is to explore the area capturing the eponymous Temtem creatures and command them in battles against other Temtem controlled by an NPC or another player. Character Resets
It is importat to remember that there is a 10-day-ban on character resets when you trade Temtem with another tamer. If you decide to reset, the only things that you would be able to keep is what you can trade to your friend; Temtem, Consumables like Balms or TemCards, and Pansuns.
Strategically Rest your Temtems
During battles a little clock symbol will appear which indicates you have the option to rest that Temtem for a turn in order to recover some of it's Stamina. Take advantage of this by monitoring the Stamina bars of your Temtems throughout the battle so you can strategically decide when it is most beneficial time to sit out a turn so that particular Temtem can recover.
Pay Attention to the Stamina Bar of your Temtem
Whenever your Temtem uses a move their Stamina bar will deplete by a certain amount. It is therefore important that you hover over an attack move or status effect before you use it in order to determine how much of the Stamina bar it will use. If the Stamina bar is depleted entirely you will still be able to use the move but your Temtem will go into Overexertion which is a state that damages their health. This is something you want to avoid doing as it will also mean the Temtem will automatically sit out a turn.
How to Level Up Quickly
The quickest way in which to level up in Temtem is to fight every tamer you encounter along each route. There is no shortage of tamers to fight in the open world of Temtem and lots of them will be optional. Although you can get experience by fighting untamed Temtem the amount it will net you will pale compared to what you can earn against tamers.
Pay Attention to Attack Circles
It is essential that you pay attention to the colour of the attack circle that appears when you target an opposing Temtem as this will indicate the amount of damage you can expect your attack to deal. If the attack circle is red for example the Temtem you are targeting is resistant to that particular type of move and you will deal 50% less damage. Similar to Pokemon, certain Temtem types are more effective against certain types so it is important that you look to take advantage of a Temtems weakness whenever possible.
Use your Entire Squad of Temtems
Try not to get attached to using just one or two Temtems in your squad. In order to survive some of the later challenges in the game you will need to have a full squad of six Temtems that are roughly the same level. It is therefore important that as you progress through the game you utilize each of the Temtems in your squad so you can level them up together. Having underused, low-level Temtems will not help you in the later challenges.
