If you want to make your team the best, you need to start with training players well. If they're experienced players, try to train them with Fitness or Physical so they can be on their toes, or train their set pieces or Defensive/Attack plays.

Squad Rotation is important, so I recommend buying young players that are Rated 80 to 85 overall. Also, check free agency, usually there is some good players you can pick out.

If you want a balanced formation, use 4-4-2 or 4-2-2-2 (I use 4-2-2-2 since I have a balance in attack and defense).

If you want an attacking formation, use 4-3-3 or 4-2-4.

If you want a defensive formation, use 5-3-2 or 5-4-1.
