Being competant at parrying attacks is essential in Rogue Spirit as it can help you get out of sticky situations. You can train parrying at the starting location by visiting the trainer. Keep in mind that if you master the stealth aspect of the game you will be able to avoid encounters and the need for parrying decrease.
The best speciality skill you can obtain in Rogue Spirit is the one that decreases damage received by 20% for 2 seconds after dashing. It is important that you prioritise getting this speciality skill over all others as it is the key to survival in boss fights.
There are some enemies that have a demon that spawn alongside them when you attack them. Make sure you always deal with this demon first because they are capable of dealing some major damage. Eliminating them is not difficult as their health is low. One hit is usually enough to get the job done.
In Rogue Spirit there are two types of skill shrines, these are stat shrines and specialty shrines. Keep in mind there will be two stat shrines and one specialty shrine in each level, and it is important that you always get them before leaving a level.
The way to defeat the five bosses in Rogue Spirit lies in smoothly alternating between dashing and attacking. The reason that this is the best tactic to employ is it avoids taking damage, and it keeps the skill that improves your defense for two seconds after dashing active constantly. The game alternates boss levels with challenge levels which means there are 10 levels you have to beat. Below are the five bosses:
Famine
This is the easiest boss to defeat. Simply dash around him to avoid his attacks and pick him apart whenever an opening presents itself.
War
Dash around him to avoid most of his attacks which include ranged ones and attack whenever there is an opportunity to inflict damage.
Decay
Decay has the ability to spawn cesspools and tornadoes which rapidly decrease your health. Make sure you when Decay conjures a cesspool you get some distance between him to avoid getting trapped in a pool while trying to dash around him.
Death
The early battle against Death is straight forward and she will not give you much trouble. It's only when her health gets low and she starts to spawn four pillars that provide her with a shield that makes her immune to damage that she becomes tricky to fight. At this stage of the battle you have to dash towards the pillars while still minding her attacks. Having a body that walks quicker will help you here considerably.
Demon King
The first thing you need to do against this boss is kill the demon it spawns. You also have to get through the tornadoes it spawns at fixed locations. These tornados do not move so they can be easily avoided. The key to the fight itself is keeping the dashing skill active and avoid getting hit while waiting for oppenings to appear that you can take advantage of with an attack.
